Absolutely beautiful food. We went for the all you can eat menu but we will be coming back very soon for the dim sum. Staff were lovely and friendly and helped us choose what to have.

We skipped the 'all you can eat' in favour of the traditional Chinese dishes (which so few Chinese restaurants actually offer) and we weren't disappointed. It was absolutely delicious. We had squid with garlic, chilli and spring onions and the beef in chilli oil (like a Szechuan pepper stock), and pak choi. It was just perfect! Perfectly seasoned, full of flavour. The beef stock had the light citrus-y touch from the peppercorns. Very happy and I'll be back to get through more of the traditional dishes soon! 4* because a mandatory 10% service charge is added. We were happy with the service we received but I don't think this should be mandatory.

❤️Love, love, love❤️ best Chinese I've ever had ever! Vast amount things on menu, depending on wanting either small snack or full meal. And the way the buffet is done, is more classy than helping yourself (done as courses), good price and quality with it, 11 out of 10 if possible. I totally recommend even when busy! As so worth it!! Portions are just right (especially as can go round again) they even adjust buffet sizes they bring out depending on size of party❤️

Best chinese in town 🤗 We had our casual family dinner and food was lovely. We ordered mixed starter, crispy duck and few main meals. Everything tasted great, but my sweet and sour prawns are the best I've ever tasted. Food here is to die for, so I would highly recommend to try this place if you haven't already.

My family has been frequenting this Chinese restaurant for over 10 years now. It is not just our favourite Chinese restaurant but our favourite restaurant full stop. Come for the dim sum or any of the mains and you will leave satisfied for sure. The boss is very friendly and the staff as well. They have always taken care of us. Also, a few of the staff members speak Vietnamese fluently.

This might just be the best chinese Resturants. Food was amazing, portions were just right. And it felt authentic. We went on a busy night and it was really loud for an hour and then it went to normal volume so there may have been a few really loud groups but that didn't bother us too much. Staff were friendly. They did mess up my starter but it was actually a good mistake because i enjoyed the ribs more :)

Top quality dim sum from excellent chefs and reasonable prices. This is as close as you get to London Chinatown standard without travelling into the city, as the many Chinese families you'll see in any given Sunday will attest.

As some of the reviews state, this restaurant's decor and fittings are old and tired and could do with a makeover. The food is nothing special either. I and my guest had the set meal which lacked any real specialities, was stodgy and expensive for what it was. The Covid operating procedures were well carried with plenty of room between tables and the staff very friendly and helpful

I do like this restaurant. Yes it is a bit cavernous inside but the restaurant is divided into little areas to make it feel more cosy. I've only had the eat what you like menu and I can't fault it. The starters are huge as is the duck. Actually all the portions are generous, so much so that there is no need to ask for any extras. I think the wine menu is a little pricey for the quality, but it's not mouth wateringly expensive. The dim sum menu looks fabulous and maybe next time I'll push the boat out and try it out.

The food tasted good, and was beautifully presented, however, I wish the portions were bigger for the amount charged. The decor is stunning and the hygiene was also good. However, there was no atmosphere, the staff marched around as though they were observing you, and I felt as though I couldn't order what I wanted as it was only one thing. (I felt as though I needed to eat all courses even though I have a small appetite). I left a small tip for service, and may return again.

Consistently good food, clean cutlery, and weekdays lunchtime business menu cracking value for money, speedy delivery of food to the table, tasty and quick turnaround. Also been here many times with colleagues group of up to 12 people, consistently good food, food to table timing good, and also been in smaller groups and taken my wife there several times. Always tasty always reasonably priced too. Much more upmarket feel than the other Chinese restaurant near this one. Slightly more expensive but well worth it.

Ate there on 22nd September. Couldn't fault the all you can eat menu. Everything well cooked, and we had one guest with a fish allergy. The staff served the prawn toast on a separate plate. It was nice to have such variety served well rather than visit an all you can eat buffet where sometimes food has been out too long. Everything freshly cooked and clean. happy to recommend it.

Very nice server's. The spring rolls are frozen from an oriental supermarket. Very disappointing. The tofu in black bean is generous and delicious. The Chinese greens with garlic are tremendous. The Singapore noodles were to be made vegetarian/vegan. Unfortunately it had egg in it. Overall, very nice flavours for a Vegan/Vegetarian. Just such a miss not to make amazing fresh Spring rolls in their own kitchen.

Beautiful food, very tight service and a good price. I found a new favourite in Northamptonshire. We indulged in dim sum and Chinese tea and beer. 2 of us are for £31. I thought it was fantastic. What was a great sign we were in for a treat was the Asian signs everywhere and a very mixed clientele. This was a special treat for my birthday and we are on a tight budget. I was delighted with our experience and cannot wait to return.

It's OK, if you decide to get the all you can eat buffet for £14.55 per person, that's what I had, when I went in there by my self yesterday I got to the table and was told that the buffet is only for a minimum of two people. Which I thought was unfair as when I have been in there before I have seen people on there own. The minimum of two people also allows for portion control. No matter how many people are sitting at a table I have found that you all ways get the same size portion. I remember four of us going one time and we had a mix starter, the starter was finished rather quickly, and was the same size as a table of two's portion, and I even remember that a table of just one getting the same sized portion. You then have to wait to be served to order anymore. Putting the ball in the restaurants court, and of course helping the restaurant portion control. The food itself was good, the typical standard of Chinese restaurant food. The staff and their attitude was ok, though when I went in yesterday they gave me the sense that if you didn't have two people eating there at a time that you weren't good enough to eat there. When one of the waitresses was trying to tell me that it was only for a minimum of two people she spoke rather fast and I had to get her to repeat it and when I asked if she could repeat what she had said she gave me a rather dirty look, the sort of look that you get if you get caught talking in school. All in all the restaurant is average but there is a rather communist feel about the place. There are other Chinese restaurants to choose from. Thanks for reading, Sam.

My wife and I have eaten Chinese food all over the UK and we both agreed, this is by far the best Chinese food we have eaten. We had the all you can eat set meal and we had to surrender at course three but we were delighted with the food, the ribs and the shredded beef were particular highlights. My daughter who is 5 years old ate so much and very much enjoyed the crispy frogs legs which she wanted to try and ate the lot! Overpriced and overrated... At first glance, the Oriental Garden looks like a really nice Chinese restaurant. Decor is on the contemporary side, and the whole place has a light and airy feel to it when you first walk in. Unfortunately, however, it's not quite as astounding as its reviews promised. For starters, service is decidedly indifferent, and some of the waiting staff are not exactly 'Happy Bags of Sunshine'. Food is OK, but it's definitely nothing to write home about, especially given the menu prices. To top it all off, the restaurant automatically levies an additional 10% "Service Charge", on top of the already healthy menu prices. This is presumably due to the fact that dour waiting staff don't earn as many tips as their friendly counterparts. Not in a hurry to come back here...

Excellent food and the closest you will probably get to the real thing in Northampton. We have been taken there a number of times by Chinese clients of ours. The owner has done a lot for the local Chinese community. Will most definitely visit again, hopeful with the Chinese again who can advise on tying different Chinese cuisine other than aromatic duck and chicken balls ! Choose from the Chinese half of the menu.

One of the best Chinese restaurants anywhere, and I include London's famous Chinatown on Gerrard Street and Birmingham's Chinatown in this statement. Orientalist Garden has a daily (Mon - Sat) Dim Sum lunch from noon until 15:00, which offers some of the most complete offerings of steamed, fried, boiled, and cooked items ever assembled for Dim Sum dining. They also offer a 'business lunch' set menu if you are short on time and can't wait for the Dim Sum to be freshly prepared. This is, without a doubt, one of my favourite restaurants and my absolute favourite Chinese restaurant: staff are friendly and quick to serve you, prices are very reasonable, and the manager cares enough to personally assure you of a fine dining experience. I highly recommend the Oriental Garden Restaurant.

Went here after being thrown out the mandarin Weston favell as we didn't book but no information given about booking unless your a party of 6 or more and we was a party of 4 very bad service from mandarin. We phoned to these and they was very friendly and accommodating and we received excellent friendly service. The food was the best food I've eaten in a long time at a Chinese the prawn toast even had prawns in it. Main meals where red hot and tasted amazing the Singapore noodles where great to.
