Service was really good. Staff are just the right amount of attentive. Food portion sizes are good. The place is well lit, clean and tidy. There's a good amount of seating available. I did book through the reservation system online however no one confirmed the booking. We decided to chance it anyway and just drove down since it was mid-week and it was fine. Would come here again 😊

There have been a few Turkish restaurants open over the past couple of years in Northampton, so we thought it was about time we visited one. We booked a table online for a Saturday evening and had a very warm welcome when we walked in. It was quite busy but we still had a good choice of tables to sit at. The decor was unique and the whole restaurant was clean and tidy. I chose the TAVUK GUVEC / CHICKEN CASSEROLE, A traditional slow cooked casserole containing diced cubes of chicken with mushrooms, onion, peppers, cooked in a authentic tomato sauce, served with rice. My wife had the YOGURTLU TAVUK SIS / CHICKEN SHISH WITH YOGHURT, diced breast of chicken charcoal grilled on skewers & croutons topped with yoghurt, fresh tomato & butter sauce, served with rice. The food was freshly cooked, extremely tasty and arrived in ideal time. We didn't have desserts as the mains were very filling and the complimentary breads with dips as a starter and the limoncello after was a nice touch. The staff were very friendly, helpful and you could tell the owner was very proud of what he had achieved. The bill came to £55.55, including the two mains and 2 glasses of wine. Also included was a 10% service charge, which is a personal annoyance of mine when there are only two people dining. Overall I would have given 5 stars, but loses one star for the service charge. We will be back, hopefully then the service charge has been dropped.

Large clean Turkish restaurant. Ordered mix grill and baklava for desert. Was served bread and sauses to start, food was delicious, only down side was the rice didn't taste fresh and was flavourless. Baklava made in house & comes with ice-cream. Friendly and quick service. Overall a very good experience, improve rice quality and flavour for 5 stars.

A group of 7 of us had booked here for pre-theatre dinner and it didn’t disappoint!! I had decided to book in advance as my instinct thought it would be best and I’m so glad I did because within 5-10 minutes of being seated the restaurant was full!! They also take a £5pp deposit for parties over 6. The waitresses are very attentive and friendly. A couple of members of our group were running late due to traffic and they were extremely accommodating. The food itself came out quickly and was rather tasty - I personally had the lamb ribs (pictured) and I tasted a lamb chop (pictured). The ribs were succulent and cooked fabulously. I prefer bulgur rice whenever I eat Turkish food and it wasn’t a problem to substitute it. The lamb chops were juicy and cooked to perfection. Everyone else said their food was tasty - this included: BALIK KEBAB (FISH KEBAB), KUZU ALI NAZIK, chicken wings and some other dishes! We ended up running a tad late for the theatre (a 3 min walk) and the staff were super helpful giving us taking away containers and having the bill ready. Overall the food was 8/10 and the service / atmosphere was 11/10!!

If I had to nit pick, it was a shame the staff were not slightly more attentive because we had to call someone over once initial serve was done as a posed to someone coming over to ask of we wanted more drinks and no offer of dessert even once plates were cleared, we had to try and gain someone's attention again. The baklava I had as takeaway. I wish I brought more it was fresh and sooooo very tasty.

Extremely noisy on a Saturday night. If you're hoping for gentle conversation, forget it. Food is pretty decent but very grill-oriented. There are better and worse Turkish restaurants. I wanted a glass of a certain red wine that the menu said was available by the glass; the waiter said it wasn't.

Food is well seasoned and made from fresh ingredients, which works for plus, great service and definitely worth the price we paid. The food presentation is elegant and so is the part of the restaurant with tables, but the interior "decoration" in the bacground is a bit strange. Plastic containers with sauces and piles of packaging behind the glass give the impression that it is a take away pretending to be a restaurant. Perhaps this is still after-covid reminder but doesn't give the cosy atmosphere you would expect from the restaurant.

We've had a lovely experience at Pumukkale Restaurant. We didn't booked a table however they took us in straight away, the restaurant was not full but not empty, Angie came to take our order, starter arrived in within minutes with hot bread and sauces, our main courses followed shortly, they were delicious, good portions and well presented. We couldn't have dessert due to had to be at the theatre. Thank you for your hospitality and delicious food, we definitely will come back

I haven't been since the new renovation. The ambience is so much nicer. The food was amazing. I had the chicken shish, tasted great and I didn't wait long for my order. Also tried the baklava, it was really tasty, light and too soaked with syrup. Turkish tea to finish it up. Staff were polite and friendly. Over all, great experience. Highly recommend.

We recently visited for my big five zero. I had been wanting to come here since it first opened; mesmerized by its decor and salivating at the smells emiting from inside! It did not disappoint. All the staff were so friendly. Made us feel very welcome. It has a warm family atmosphere. Great music (jazz on this occasion) and covid precautions were thorough without distracting from the experience. And the food - well it was absolutely delicious! The food is really good and have been there multiple times with great service (previously rated 5 stars). However today the service was incredibly slow. We had booked in advance, and were seated straight away. It took about 20 minutes for someone to take the order, and was about an hour later to get the starters, and another hour or so until the mains arrived. During this whole time they were continuing to seat people. And I doubt everyone coming in had reservations as well, and it seems no one was told on coming in the expected wait times. On asking later they did explain that a chef had not come in, so it was the cause of delay. On talking with the table next to us, they had said if they had been told how long the wait was going to be, they would have found somewhere else, and they had waited more than 1 1/2 hours just for bread and starters. Additional to all this, the mechanism to close the front door seemed to be broken. There is a secondary door after that. But ourselves and a couple of people at other tables were frequently blasted with cold air as people stepped in and out without closing the front door behind them. Resulting in some customers having to keep getting up and closing the door, as no one else was checking, even after staff were informed.

Excellent food, presented very appealingly, and friendly staff. I have tried practically everything on the menu and haven't ever regretted my choices. There is also a good selection of vegetarian starters and main courses, not just one token item, as well as several fish options. The baklava is really nice but the best dessert by far is the superb sütlaç, a type of Turkish rice pudding.

Went there first time, for our wedding anniversary dinner. The interior decor was very unique, but not to my liking. Food arrived quickly and wasn’t too bad, however was quite expensive! Didn’t mind as it was a special occasion. Service on the other hand was 10/10, from the moment we came in and then leaving. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Really enjoyed our evening.

Our table was booked for 7.30 but our main didn't arrive until 9.30. It's a shame but it may have been better to keep it small for a more intimate dining experience. Went here Monday night. Forst time going Food was lovely, place seemed clean good covid 19 mesuaure taken out. They were understaffed, but everywhere seemed to be monday night. One complaint would be we were sat near a door where alot of people exit. The door is stiff to close therefore no one shut it properly leaving us cold. We kept having to get up from our seats to close the door . Would recommend overall.

Food is always amazing and the atmosphere is great. Every time I have been it has been buzzing with atmosphere. Still manages to have that sort of "family" run feel that eludes so many restaurants these days. It doesn't have the slickness and corporate brand feel of chain restaurants ( that isn't a criticism, far from it ) but feels authentic and like the people running it know what makes a great place to eat and work hard to ensure it stays that way. Highly recommended if you fancy Turkish cuisine...

Both main courses were superb, simple dishes but very well cooked and flavoured. We finished with baklava and apple tea. The service was good throughout. Can't wait to go back again! There's is nothing I don't like about this place. The food is simply amazing and the atmosphere is welcoming. Staff are wonderful and put the effort in making sure that customers are well looked after. It's my second time here as we live in Bedford yet travel all the way to Northampton simply to visit this place. We love trying different restaurants and so far, I must admit that Pamukkale is one of my favourite restaurants when it comes to Turkish/Mediterranean cuisines. I think the prices are very affordable, so if you are looking for Turkish food, put this place on top of your list.
