Cannot recommend this place enough. First ever visit here. Steak cooked to perfection. Son said best burger he has ever had and he is a connosieur of burgers. Really friendly and welcoming staff. Nice and clean. Music in bar area very loud but when you go into dining area no speakers and really easy to have a chat. Easy to park. We did book but no need really loads of tables to sit at. Will definetly come again with others. You must try here for great priced tasty food. Check menu online at sizzling pubs.

Good food, good range of drinks, good value for money and top service. Glad I visited. Update, having to knock a couple of stars off due to a more recent visit. They set the bar high for me on previous visits and therefore my recent visit was not up to their usual standard. Steak not cooked in the way requested and mash potato not edible due to being too dry when when covered in sauce. It seemed to take forever for our dirty plates to be collected after our staters and our mains. Staff not as attentive as previous visits, seemingly as there was not enough staff to reflect how busy they were.

Me and my brother came in for food and a few drinks last night to try somewhere new while they had 50% off food. I can honestly say the food was brilliant value for money even without the 50% off and all the staff were welcoming and helpful even whilst busy and managing a lot of new restrictions! We will defiantly return again with the family and would highly recommend as a enjoyable and safe environment for a meal and a few pints!

The staff here are incredible. I hosted a team meeting here, the staff allowed us to use a function room free of charge, they even provided free teas and coffees. We all ate here and the food was great. I can’t fully express how accommodating the staff were. They let me in before official opening hours to prepare and went the extra mile over and over again. Came here for a work Christmas lunch. I'll be honest, at £12.99 a head for 3 courses I wasn't expecting much but it was actually really good! I had the steak sizzler for my main and it was delicious. The people serving us were friendly and efficient.

Food wise we were very impressed. We both chose rump steak costing under a tenner with all the trimmings and a free drink (glass of wine or pint). The steak was cooked to medium perfection and was very tender and tasted of beef. I know that sounds ridiculous but often steak in this type of pub tastes of nothing and has the consistency of rubber. Chips were crisp and golden outside and fluffy on the inside. The mushroom was a bit watery for my tasting but the Stilton sauce was very nice. The rest of the pub was very busy as it was Saturday with the exception of one drunk troublemaker, it was a good natured and mixed crowd. I was especially impressed with their 'gin palace' which has a wide variety of gins; Hendricks, Tanquery, Bombay, Sipsmiths and others as well as the ubiquitous Gordon's. The decor is great with a mix of low tables, sofas and high tables with stools in the bar area and tables/booths in the restaurant.

Ive never had the food here so can't comment. The service behind the bar has always been top notch. The bar staff always know who's next and there is always a selection of guest ales on that they let you sample before you buy. I wouldn't call it a family friendly place but it is a good place to go if you just want a pint and a chat.
