Lovely lunch here today with some work colleagues, one of whom (Mustapha) had made the recommendation. The food we had was exquisite, the service exceptional as well as friendly and welcoming, and the location is just beautiful. If I hadn't had to go back to work, I would have stayed for hours.

Fantastic cafe and deli. So friendly, dogs allowed inside, and the food is AMAZING. We tried the new winter menu which is a selection of tapas style dishes and we were very happy! They also have mulled wine and cider, and some really good Hereford dry cider too. I would highly recommend this as a cool lunch spot - would make a good location for a date!

Now this venue is simply the best. I needed to lose more than two stone in weight. Thanks to Helen and her Mum's Mediterranean food, I did it.
The huge range of organic wines at sensible prices are a tasteful accompaniment to the Larder Deli's locally sourced mediterranean style menu.
Cheers
PS Polite Dogs welcome too.

My wife and I live over 20 miles from here, but regularly come down for a walk on the many footpaths in the area or to visit the Castle. Those are really just an excuse to visit the Deli. This is the best Deli I’ve known anywhere. The food (both to eat in or take away) is absolutely amazing. We had a Charcuterie Grazing Board today. Every component was absolutely delicious. They serve a range of local beers and gins and some great wines. This all comes served by the loveliest people; each guest is made to feel very welcome and at home. We will continue to make excuses to come here as we have been very pleased on each visit.

Lovely produce and friendly staff. Well worth a stop off for some unusal and delicious deli meats and cheeses. I came away with Grapefruit and Chilli marmalade which went incredibly with the locally made blue goats cheese.... Also a brownie that was unbelievably good⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you're a bit of a foodie, The Larder Deli at Castle Ashby is a 'must visit' destination. The surrounding area is wonderful with its stone built buildings and Castle Ashby itself overlooking the Old Farm Yard, but the real prize is in the delicatessen itself. You should be prepared to be tempted by a selection of interesting and tasty cheese, aromatic and flavourful oils and vinegars, fresh breads and pastries, don't even get me started on the jars and bottles full of all manner of tempting offerings ... the list goes on and on ... I was even very nearly drawn in by the sweet treats and handmade chocolates but in the end my savoury palate won.
Ellen and I found it a great place to spend some time and to shop for high quality, sometimes unusual things to try and I'm sure you'll be pleased too. As it's a destination, make sure you leave yourself enough time to wander around the rest of the courtyard shops and, importantly, to have lunch in the Eatery attached to the deli. Enjoy!

It looks as though it is under new ownership - and it's become a really nice place! It was good before, but the shop feels like there is more space to move around, and it is easier to find things. It is well lit, with a good choice of interesting products, I would definitely visit again.
