I would very highly recommend visiting Bishops. The food was of an exceptional standard, as was the service. The menu has recently been updated by the new and extremely talented chefs and their passion for food is reflected in the dishes. All the staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring our visit was special. Best dining experience we’ve had. Thank you, we’ll be back!

A fantastic and intimate space with very high class food, a fantastic wine list and exceptional service. Such an important place in Norwich, remaining high in class in the city centre. Decor could do with a bit more effort, feeling a little less sophisticated than the rest of the experience. Don't let this put you off. You've got to give this place a try.

Another wonderful meal at Bishop’s Dining room. The food is as beautiful to look at as it is delicious to taste. We had the pigeon, gazpacho and the crab cannelloni to start, followed by hake, seabream and lamb. The restaurant is charming and the service first class. A treat from start to finish. Superb Sunday lunch at this very friendly, intimate little restaurant in the heart of Norwich. Small menu but everything done to perfection and well presented. Efficient, friendly staff. I didn't feel it was at all expensive for high quality fine dining. Will definitely return and try the evening menu.

Lovely find. Great food and a chilled out atmosphere. My better half and I argued about the colour of the decor. Helen maintained that the paint was grey, whilst I maintained that it definitely had a tinge of green. The waiter confirmed the green thing and we had a fantastic meal. I didn't photograph the food because I'm not 12. Highly recommended.

My husband an I enjoyed a wonderful meal at Bishop's at lunch time on Saturday, the food was superb, flavours were amazing ad the quality was exceptional. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, the setting was buzzing but certainly not crowded and Covid 19 efforts were commendable. Would give this an easy 4.5 stars if I could. Lovely three course lunch, very tasty and decent portion sizes. Only one small quibble: the wine a little expensive by the glass (£7.50 for 175ml) - this would be mitigated if a couple or three people came and bought a bottle. Came here several years ago and remembered the wine being a tad pricy. Maybe increase food price a little and reduce wine price a bit? Very enjoyable overall though 😊

I can honestly say that the beef I had at Bishop's was the best I'd ever tasted! My daughter was equally impressed by her gnocchi. We went on a Friday evening and, unsurprisingly, it did get very busy in the restaurant as the evening went on. However the staff remained attentive and friendly throughout. Expensive but worth it; really looking forward to going again.

Give me an opportunity for a meal out anywhere in Norwich and Bishops would be my first choice. Simply stunning food, beautifully presented in a lovely warm, cosy and intimate setting. Fine dining in an intimate and cozy atmosphere. The staff are very attentive - your glass will never run dry! The main courses were tasty, but the starters and deserts were outstanding. Always a pleasure to visit here.

A chef who knows what he's doing! So good! Went for dinner last night, and everything was so well put together, salt beef starter was light and perfectly balanced with capers, thinly sliced gherkin and the most beautiful lightly battered onion rings, so nice! Beef fillet main just melted, perfectly cooked and presented, couldn't get enough of the sauce it sat on, unbelievable! Service was so polite and thoughtful, really made us feel comfortable ☺

I guess the meal overall was ok but the food just didn't quite do it for me. The pork belly starter was so so, the fillet beef was too salty and a bit too raw (ordered medium rare). My dessert was ok, chocolatey, but that's about it. My friend's peach dessert was much better though, quite creative how they went about combining sourdough ice cream and some plum jelly with honey peaches! I think the menu options were quite limited and the service was so so too, we were rushed to pay the bill at the end of our meal! We were a table of 2 and they put the table at an angle where we were way too close to the table next to us and people would brush past us as they went to the toilet; maybe they shouldn't have tried to fit a table there so that there'd be more space.

Bishops has a great ambience, the food is fresh and well presented portions are on the small side so consider the side dishes. Staff are pleasant and attentive. A nice place to go for that special occasion, booking advisable.
