Excellent fish & chip restaurant. First had take away in early Oct whilst on holiday with friends. Half a Chicken & Chips, Fish & Chips & Pie with Chips all cooked to perfection, best fish & chips we’d all had in a long time. Returned in early November whilst on holiday with elderly mother to have lunch, again everything was perfect & reasonably priced as well. Staff on both visits friendly & courteous. A+

We planned the journey to our Bank Holiday break in Walcott, so we arrived for lunchtime. Our order was taken quickly and efficiently, by June, who was clearly fully focused on taking our order exactly, without missing an item. My son made an additional request to include a pickled onion to his meal. Before paying (by card) June read back our order precisely including the pickled onion with the correct meal! This level of attention really impressed me. I had total confidence from there on, that our order was being prepared by people who perform professionally. So when the food was ready, it was no surprise that everything was lovely. The batter on the fish and onion rigs was cooked to perfection. Real malt vinegar is also a good indicator of quality, as is, plastic free packaging and wooden cutlery. If I had to make one suggestion, all I could think of is, perhaps have some sliced lemon available to offer with fish meals. But I'm really scraping the barrel to find any room for improvement. Well done and thank you for the best start to a fantastic family getaway.

Tried this fish and chips today ( Weds7th Dec). All I can say is, they were fantastic and some of the best that, I and my wife have ever eaten. 2x Cod and chips brilliant 10 out of 10. The Cod was chunky /real flakes of fish. The chips delicious. We Will definitely be going back as regular customers. Service/staff are very friendly & the premises are lovely & clean. Prices VERY REASONABLE & EXCELLENT FOOD.

Very nice tasting fish and chips however it is expensive for what you get. We have never been before but it looked very nice when we saw it on TV so we thought we would make the trip. Tiny piece of fish I’m guessing you have to order a large cod to get a normal size and you can definitely tell you are paying a premium for being the only fish and chip shop for miles around. That’s why I can only give it 3 stars unfortunately.

Yeah, it ok, I have not visited too many other chippies to make a comparison so take this with a pinch of salt. The chips were slightly under done for my liking but the regular haddock was a good size and was cooked well. Looks like lots of choices on the menu when we were there, it is also only open for two hours each evening so you need to get down there quickly.

A lovely fish and chip shop on the sea front at Walcott near North walsham, Norfolk. We had tasty fish and chips which we ate alfresco on picnic tables outside the cafe and overlooking the sea. A little bit of a wait which was understandable is the shop was busy and all food is cooked fresh. If you're in the area this chippy is well worth a visit.

Fish & Chip heaven!!! What a fantabulous lunch experience today. To say this is just a Fish Bar does not even begin to explain the truely awesome food that was cooked and eaten today.... Following on from a recommendation from my neighbour last Sunday we decided to have a drive out and have a nice lunch by the sea.. It was a really easy place to find and plenty of parking as well, with there being a car park available or failing that there is limited parking on the road. We arrived at about 1.10pm and I was pleased to see that we wouldn't have to queue as I had been told we might have to due to the popularity and sheer demand had been advised we may have a bit of a wait, but it would be worth it. The Cod, Chips and Mushrooms in Batter were all freshly cooked to order and didn't take long at all, topped off with delicious mushy peas.. What an absolute treat we had eating this and so tasty the Cod was one of the best if not the best I have ever tasted with a crispy light batter and the Chips were cooked to perfection. This was such a perfect day in everyway, but sadly had already started lunch before I took photo's. I would happily recommend a visit and can say that our 2 hour journey was well worth it!!!! I would like to thank both of the ladies who served me today as the service was excellent. I would also like to say that from the moment we arrived you could feel a really friendly, welcoming atmosphere filled with a great community spirit from local people as the go to place to eat and meet up😃. Looking forward to coming back again😁

Had to queue a long time but i can honestly say that it was well worth the wait i would recommend to anyone in the area to go visit them. The jumbo battered sausages are mahoosive (i had cod i saw in the oven) I'd go again for sure every day if i lived close enough!!

Our first visit since it changed ownership and it didn’t disappoint. Cooked to order haddock that was really creamy with a crisp tasty batter, the chips were also perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly and efficient and the F&C came in a ‘box’ made of recyclable material. There are wooden knives and forks available together with free salt, pepper & vinegar sachets. Thoroughly enjoyable eaten in glorious sunshine at the outside table.

Jolly fish and chip bar. Bit difficult to find in the dark, but a good car park next door. Nice welcome, freshly cooked plaice and rock - were delicious, maybe batter could have been thinner but just a question of taste. Good value 2x large pieces of fish and 1x large chips £16 and sent away well packaged. Recommend (but as Jeremy Vine says, only 4x pa!)

Stopped here on the way back from the beach and sat outside watching the sea which was lovely. The OH had cod and chips and I had chips and I have to say, they were the best chips I’ve had in years, absolutely perfect!!. The OH said the cod was fantastic, fresh and very well cooked, he was surprised that it was so good. So many chippies out there but so few get it as perfect as this. Shame I’m not from the area or I’d be a regular customer.

Great cafe and excellent service at good prices. They do a lovely breakfast and the fried bread is the best. The sausage sandwiches are a must, proper sausages and proper bread. Been going here on and off for 5 years and never had a problem with staff, always helpful, friendly and curtiouse. The fish and chip shop is one of the best, freshly cooked and plenty of it.

Superb fish and chips. Really good system for the old social distancing stuff - we ordered on line and picked up. Super-crispy batter and quality chips. Wish it wasn't 220 miles from home! UPDATE:. Went back this summer (2021). Still as good as we remembered. The batter is the crispiest and best ever. Top tip: If you order on line, make sure you mention that at the hatch so the fry-meisters can get your order together 👍👍👍👍

My cod and chips was beautifully cooked. They fry up ahead but because there are lots of customers it only sits in the hot cabinets a few minutes, and a good variety of food is ready to go. Staff service excellent. Take debit cards too so that's handy, and they have indoor and outdoor seating.

We come from Chelmsford, Essex many times throughout the year, our first stop is the Kingfisher fish restaurant. Last Friday we were late due to road closures so had to wait until the evening. I thought I had ordered on line but messed up. When I arrived not long before closing time the staff very kindly sorted out my order for me. The fish & chips is the best we have had, it far outstrips anything near where we live. It is always so fresh, the portions are great and above all the staff are so friendly & helpful.

Absolutely delicious chip shop! We stopped here after a day at Cart Gap Beach. There was a massive queue but the wait was beyond worth it. The fish is so fresh and the batter is nice and crunchy. Everything is made fresh. The curry sauce is delicious and more like gravy than any curry sauce I've had before. The staff is lovely and incredibly efficient. They were supposed to close at 7pm but they stayed open until the queue was gone. It's right across from the beach so you can sit on the sea wall and eat or at their picnic tables outside or in the indoor dining area. Between us we had cod, chips, beans, mushy peas, curry sauce, and battered sausage and I highly recommend each. Just fyi the cod is skinless which is my personal preference.

A very nice meal! The staff are very friendly, we arrivedfor closing time and they let us order and sit inside as there was a storm outside, they are very hospitable and they seem like a family ran business. The scampi is sublime and the facilities are clean. The parking is ample and there are both inside and outside seating. The menu is relatively cheap and the food is not overly greasy like most chippies. I would reccomend this restaurant and will come back again! Please go here and try it out!

This is a family favourite, sitting on the sea wall eating chips watching the tide go out followed by an adventure in the rock pools. The food here is great, chip shop great! Most evenings in the summer the queue double up in the shop and out of the door. Many different types of fish and traditional fizzy drinks, with an indoor and outdoor seating area. They also accept card payments, which is convenient and in the heat of summer behind the fryers, the staff always have a smile and work quickly, goodness knows how they do it!

Possibly the best fish and chips in Norfolk. I realise that is a bold claim. Not an uneducated one though, as I have eaten a lot of fish and chips. The batter is crispy and delicious, the fish is soooooo fresh and moist, and the chips are lovely. I think they fry the chips in smaller batches than other chippies which always makes them fresh and hot. This is a busy spot, but parking is free along the front and it’s also slap bang next to an icecream shop!!!! It’s our number one chip shop. Man I need some fish and chips now

Very nice place to stop an eat. Food was delicious and staff was super nice. We got in right before they closed and since it was raining they allowed us to eat inside while they closed up and had their dinner. They were all so kind and lovely to talk to and never once made us feel bad for staying past closing. After we finished we stepped outside, the storm had passed, and you could see a rainbow on one side and a beautiful sunset on the other. One of many visits here, this time a couple of weeks after re-opening from Covid-19 lockdown. You guys have got it consistently superb. Well organised queuing system and lovely pineapple and chips. This is one of the 3 best chippys in the area in my opinion. Stalham is good, but Kingfisher share the top sport with one in Cromer.
