First time trying this place after our usual place was a disappointment last time, however, this meal was immense. Atmosphere, decor, staff friendliness, food etc are all amazing. A really beautiful place that makes you feel a little bit special for being there. Unfortunately the price is too much for us to eat regularly there, but for a special occasion - this will be our new go to.

Great meal, if you go with a few people nice to opt for sharing. Lovely staff and good service. Oddly, the best thing we had was the calamari. Delicious. I’d recommend and go back. They also did a lovely anniversary treat for my parents.

This was a night out with family for my wife’s 60th Birthday. We spoke to Ben and booked a table he was fantastic couldn’t be more helpful. On arrival the staff were brilliant the place is mind blowing beautiful in the middle of nowhere !! The restaurant was very busy but we never felt forgotten food was remarkable presentation was spot on also with us were 4 children of various ages but they were catered for in just the same professional way and were made to feel comfortable in such a overwhelming environment. If I was able to give more than 10 out 10 I definitely would and even though we are over two hours drive away we will be coming back it was that good. So thank you Ben and the team keep up the good work and I wish you all the success you deserve.

We visited the Steak in the Stox whilst on holiday in Norfolk. The staff were super attentive and friendly,.offering advise and small tasters of the wine to support us select a bottle. We were there on a Thursday night and have the prime rib special - I would highly recommend!

Best steakhouse in the UK? I've been to many steakhouses in my many years of existence but this place is the best I've ever been to. Visited here with the Mrs and two kids. We ordered starters which were lovely but the steaks were the main event. We had a rib-eye, fillet and a 50 Oz porterhouse steak. They were cooked perfectly and melted like butter. I cannot speak anymore highly about them. The chef's skills are something to be jealous of. The desert was lovely too. Go for the trio selection. A bit of everything. The chap that looked after us was very friendly and attentive. If I had anything negative to say, it would be that there was a female member of staff that had a whine to her voice which sounded exaggerated and perhaps a little fake. It's not a cheap place to eat but where in the UK can you get a 50 Oz steak cooked to perfection? I live in Kent and would quite happily visit here again! Highly, highly recommended!

Visited on a busy Wednesday evening with colleagues, only one FOH staff member working, however she kept pace with the dining room and certainly earned her tips that night. Thorough explanation of the food and the wine meant we all had a first class meal and look forward to visiting again.

Absolutely in love with this place. Visited several times for a Sunday roast and I have never been disappointed! Service is fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. Food is exquisite and prepared to perfection, flavours all work wonderfully together, a masterpiece! I highly recommend the scotch egg starter, it truly is delicious! So far have only experienced the roasts for main, but each and every time it has been just as good as the last, very consistent. The apple crumble is the best I have ever had! Prices are reasonable and fair too.

# Steak at the stix We booked this place as it was a short drive from our hotel and WoW was it good. For starters we had calamari which was delicious, and the portion size was pretty epic. We then both had steak and chips. The steak was cooked to perfection. What we loved most was that you could tell they know how to cook steak. Our steaks melted in the mouth. We chose medium/rare and it was incredible. Highly recommend if you love a good steak. The interiors are also very modern which I thought I would mention as some of the pics on their Instagram etc don’t do it justice. The staff were also amazing. Friendly, welcoming and were very knowledgeable about all the cuts of beef, which is rare in most prestigious restaurants let alone a local one such as this, so hats off to the team who clearly work so hard to ensure they understand what they are serving and how it should be best cooked.
