Very nice food, staff were very nice, sat outside to enjoy one of the few sunny days in the year but upon taking the table we were told no fired items, no tagliatelle, and no ice cream

Shame we couldn't sit where we would have preferred and one of the first choices of meal was unavailable. However, with a little friendly banter and some quick thinking from our waitress, everything worked out fine in the end. Her suggestion of an alternative meal was very nice indeed and almost worthy of five stars. Great recovery.

Lovely food (although in all honesty the pizzas are just too big for one person!). Was particularly impressed though that as it was my brother's birthday they not only allowed me to bring his cake to the restaurant but they lit the candles, brought it out from the kitchen, and had everyone in the restaurant singing happy birthday to him and all for no extra charge. Not a bad place to eat and made better by friendly staff. came two consecutive nights. first night had Rigatoni Pork and Garlic Meatballs which were very hot (strength ,not temperature )and spicy. it doesn't say this on the menu. This needs rectifying asap

Nothing wrong with the food definitely nothing special and the servers were very unprofessional! Two of them clearly in a relationship messing about play fighting round the restaurant especially round our tablewhich is fine but they couldn’t remember to get water for the table, 3 times we had to ask for, they never asked if we wanted any condiments when we did ask they gave us one tiny pot for 4 of us! Never asked if everything was ok and were damn right rude , basically threw the drinks on the table it was like we were an inconvenience, plus they had the nerve to add the 10 pound tip which they really didn’t deserve. I will not be returning

Food was just ok, lots of items on the menu were not available. And here's the main reason for this review. They wouldn't take cash! Obviously saving on banking charges. Sterling is still legal tender in the UK.

A coeliac's review: A cautious recommendation On paper, Zizzi offers a large variety of gluten free (GF) options. In reality this is not quite the case, as Zizzi is one of many establishments which fails to fully separate "no gluten-containing ingredients" from true "gluten free" options. On the phone I was told that all GF dishes are prepared completely separately to avoid cross-contamination. Upon arrival however, the allergen information clearly states that all fried dishes use the same fryer and all boiled dishes use the same water, rendering a large amount of the no-gluten containing dishes unsuitable for coeliacs or those with allergies due to the cross-contamination risk. (some examples: 5 starters on the GF menu reduced to 3 actually suitable, chips on the GF menu but not suitable) Despite this disappointment, the food I had was lovely. The staff were extremely friendly but also polite and professional, not interrupting the meal and swiftly removing empty plates and glasses. The atmosphere is lacking, with bland decor, music played far too loudly and tables uncomfortably close: meaning that I heard my neighbour's conversations more clearly than my partner's, and we both had to shout. The prices range from reasonable to expensive; this is not a cheap place to eat, though it is better value than the other, more expensive restaurants nearby. Overall, given the limited selection of options for eating out gluten free in Norwich, Zizzi is fine. Not amazing and not terrible, best enjoyed with a large group or as a prelude to a night out, definitely serviceable but not good enough to be the main event.

We went to Zizzis for birthday celebrations, absolutely wonderful service. Our server Ollie was helpful, attentive and friendly. Food was delicious too, just wish the vegan menu was a bit bigger! Thankyou Zizzis Norwich!

Great attention to detail for those of us that can't eat certain foods that contain gluten/wheat due to health conditons. Felt totally reassured that they were taking my health seriously when ordering, cooking and serving the food. Would definitely go again to Norwich Zizzi's. Been to other restaurants and cafés before and been extremely ill after due to contamination. Which then stops me eatting out or ordering any take-out - my confidence goes. So a big thankyou!

Fantastic food, the £17.95 3 course menu is amazing, great food selection, really well cooked and speedy and friendly service too. Can’t fault it!. The restaurant is airy and well thought out to comply with social distancing rules. Kids menu great, good size portions.

Ok, so it's a chain and you really want to go to independent restaurants. However, it's a solid decent food, decent prices, you know what you're getting... So yeah, it's not very ambitious but it's good, and right next to the cathedral which is handy if you're seeing a show there!

The customer service and welcome was exceptional . We had some issues with Tesco Rewards vouchers no longer taken here. SIMONA was outstanding at giving us options on how we could get assistance with this. All other waitresses too were excellent at their job and very friendly and helpful. Nice food , the 5 young adults in the front enjoyed the pasta. but the sea bass dish / most expensive, the fish was a "very" small portion. No bigger than a prepacked smoked mackerel fillet. Chips were less than you get in a kfc portion. Couldn't justify £6.00+ for the tomato and melted cheese starter or same for garlic bread . Overpriced in my opinion

Pre-booked our slot over a week ago as me and partner was in Norwich for the day and absolutely love zizzis. First time going to this zizzis and can not fault it one but. From when we first arrived, greated by happy/friendly staff. Food was absolutely perfect. Really can not say 1 bad thing about the food. Definitely be going back when go to Norwich again. The food was very good as usual but they no longer take Tesco Clubcard vouchers. Only found out when we got there and they said they'd stopped taking them in Jan. The Norwich restaurant is 1 of 10 that have stopped taking them. A little disappointed that it wasn't on their website or told us when booking our table.

Nice food. Ordering and payment via an app as standard now, which removes some flexibility in ordering process (I wanted 2 starters to come at the same time as the main - no way of requesting via app).

Service was okay. Seated nicely. Seems to be communication issues within the team as they all think different thinks about situations. They don't seem like they check their tickets as we ordered on their order website and then someone came along asking for our order. They must check their tickets before going to a table. Ticket time on drinks seems slow aswell and this is additionally annoying as I ordered a coke and peroni which I expected to be PM and tap but they were bottled, so ticket time on drinks should be much quicker as it doesn't take 2 seconds to open a fridge grab a bottle open the bottle and grab some glasses and run them to the table. Wait time on food wasn't too bad. Food was good but is clearly made to spec so errors can not be easily rectified. Pizza base was so hard and burnt that it was so difficult to cut which caused irritation to the point I only ate 3/4 of it. Only 1 dessert was in stock which isn't their fault due to current supplier issues. Will have pasta if I return again.

It was a decent meal. I made bad choices with the menu cos I'm stupid!! I ordered Olives as my starter... they arrived with stones in. So I had to gently nibble them. Quite tasty but I wish I had ordered the same as my wife! Garlic bread! It was delightful!! Mains. I ordered the beef rib with broccoli stems and some fries. I wish I had read the menu at the meal was beautifully cooked but drowned in rosemary! Wifey had pasta with chorizo! Hers was lovely..... I had 2 glasses of red housewine which was lovely. To sum up it was a lovely experience. The staff were exceptionally good. They worked hard and as a team which was nice to see. I recommend Zizzi Norwich. Lovely people. Lovely food.

First time here and it was really good. The staff are very helpful, my friends got his order wrong and the staff gave him the thing he wanted for free as the starter which not many places do that. Had garlic bread with cheese on and that was really nice but the main thing I liked was the watermelon and orange with sprit in, that I could drink all day and would recommend it. Had pasta for main and it tasted really good, Sauce was really good and thick, the pasta it self was good aswell. Got nice seating outside and in. Would recommend this place

In the past I have really enjoyed this restaurant. This time we decided to order several starters and 1 main. On this occasion it didn't really do it for us. The cheese fondue lacks a mature cheese flavour and is more like cheese sauce. The bruschetta came with too much bread, the calamari was overcooked and a bit dry. The pasta dish we ordered (beef rib tagliatelle was really good though.

Only stopped by this place because it was close to my bus stop. Glad I did. I only had dessert, but man what a choice. I ordered the salted caramel chocolate brownie and it was the best I ever tasted! The brownie was served warm, infused with gooey salted caramel, topped with giant white chocolate shavings, and covered with rich hot chocolate sauce and French vanilla ice cream. OMGosh!! I devoured it in mere moments! YUMMMMY!! The great customer service and atmosphere added to a outstanding visit. I'll be back!!

I got a zizzi voucher from buyagift and the set menu on buyagift is different from the one provided in zizzi, which unfortunately meant there wasn't anything we wanted/could have. However, the waitress was very understanding and did all she could do accommodate us so really pleased with her service. Unfortunately the food itself wasn't amazing (seemed a bit microwave meal ish) so probably won't be going back there.

Visited here has had a high street dinning voucher. We had a set menu to choose from which was limited but still a great selection. My partner and I had some cocktails which were delicious. The food portions look small but don't be put off by this as they are so filling and lots of lovely flavours. We came away feeling very full, and will definitely return in the future.

Popped in for something to eat, and didn't need a reservation so was ideal. Not too busy, but a little bit of atmosphere which was nice for the ambience. They've got a 3 course menu option which was great value for money - a starter, a good selection of pizzas (I enjoyed a fantastic Calzone) and a dessert for around £18. Friendly service, good tasty food (the open kitchen which we sat next to was nice to see the pizzas being made and cooked in an open pizza oven!) and not too expensive. If you fancy some quick pizza hit then would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely meal at Zizzi in Tombland, Norwich. We were so impressed on how they had managed Covid changes. Very safe but retaining happy atmosphere. I had the salmon salad. The tastes involved were amazing. My husband’s pasta had a creamy sauce with lots of big pieces of chicken included. We could not get over how efficient all the staff were. The upstairs were we sat was so quaint and so beautifully decorated. Have to book as restaurant so popular. Not surprising!

We ordered a take away from here yesterday via Deliveroo. (I’ve eaten at the restaurant a few times and always been impressed with the food quality and service) unfortunately the food arrived cold and just pretty bland. It also didn’t help that all the toppings came off the pizzas and stuck to the box (the pizzas were folded around card to get them in.) The edges of the pizzas were also more charred than I’m used to. we ended up having to bin most of it because it was inedible. I didn’t complain because we didn’t want to wait longer for more food so just ate the bits we could. Will still go to the restaurant because I know it’s good when there but I won’t order a take away again. Especially as it cost near £60 for it to mostly be put in the bin.

After a grueling journey from Rochester to Norwich, rushing to meet our daughter and being late because of traffic and detours. We arrived stressed and anxious we would now have to rush our meal because of the 90 minute time slot. We was immediately reassured by the lovely Clare and would like to thank her particularly for being so kind and understanding. We had a lovely meal, everything was delicious and piping hot. We will definitely be returning to Zizzi's in Norwich.

The food is superb. The atmosphere is casual but with a touch of class. I personally feel the price range is just right. Not cheap and cheerful but not overpriced either. Had a lovely meal here today with my family, because of covid restrictions we booked before hand, arrived used the app to check in, sat outside , a little chilly still, but dry. Our drinks order was taken,We were given a complementary pot of pizza twist crisps , then as starters we had ; olives, brushetta (with onion tomato and pesto-delicious,)and meatballs. Our mains were lovely, I had the lentil ragu with kale and linguini, my daughter and son inlaw shared a large prawn pizza and strozzaretti pesto rozza pasta x which was lovely and creamy ( mmm mascapone). My 4 year old granddaughter had the bambino 3 courses for £6,95 .. ( there was 4 or 5 options to choose from,) overall a fantastic long awaited experience , excellent value , friendly attentive mancunian waitress, well done to all the staff on today x no long pauses, you were all brilliant. we ll definitely return again.

Part of a party of 16, and nothing but praise for the evening. Orders were taken promptly and despite such a large group, we all got what we ordered in good time. The food was hot and good quality and quantity. What made the evening, was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble, the waitress was attentive and went beyond her waitressing duties, taking photos, and helping with the obligatory table decorations. The bill was settled effeciently and stress free for such a large group. Would recommend to all who have an event coming up.

Table booked at the last minute thanks to a very accomodating member of staff. Food was amazing, no issues with time from ordering to eating. One of our children has a severe peanut allergy and when we ordered his pudding the waitress hadn't confirmed the ingredients however someone else (possibly supervisor) came over took it back and actually washed her hands and made sure she prepared it herself so as the other chefs had no chance of cross contaminating his food. So for that we are so grateful. Considerably good value for money. Would definitely recommend for families and couples alike.

Great place to eat out in Norwich. I visited the place with a party of 14 people. Starters, main course and drinks came to each of us within minutes of each other. The guys cooking done a great job. I simply love the chicken spinach calzone here. This one is amazing!!! Since I am always eating the same I can't say much about the rest of the food but if you love calzone you should go and try it. Staff is also really nice, prices are affordable and place is clean. I also like the open kitchen so you see the cooking progress.

Food was excellent. Had an unfortunate accident where the waitress knocked a full glass of red wine in my lap, which was a pure accident. The insult came when I recieved my bill and was charged for both the original glass and the replacement. It was removed from the bill when queried but wasn't great customer service.

My partner booked a table for 2 for my birthday meal. Upon arrival we were greeted by a manager who sat us at a table near the door. We asked if there was any chance of moving to a different table as everytime guests were entering and leaving the resturant we were hit with a breeze. The waitress told us that the manager had said there was no other table for us to move to as a big group were coming in and there were no available tables. Yet, the manager was able to accommodate for walk in couples and when I visited the toilets there were many empty tables around the corner. When the food came, it was delicious and I could not fault it. The food is the only reason for the stars. The waitress kindly put a candle in my desert. I've been here numerous times and never once had a bad experience. The food is always excellent, but the pizzas especially are fantastic. I tried their chili-infused dough on my latest visit and it was exceptional. Service is always good too - I visited on Good Friday on a day where Norwich City FC were playing at home in the city, so it was very busy, but the speed and friendliness of the service was not affected at all.

Situated in the heart of the restaurant is an open plan area where you can watch the 3 chef's prepare your freshly cooked food, some of which are amazingly presented. The staff are very friendly and helpful and even though the tables are a bit too close to each other for a wheelchair to pass through unhindered, they do their best to overcome this.

The vegan meatballs were nice, but the vegan linguini was really just a plate of boiled pasta with a teaspoon of sauce on it. I asked for four or five extras and could not even find two of them. The spinach was one leaf. The olives I asked to be added turned out to be one olive. Whoever designed this dish clearly belongs to the school of cooking that thinks you just have to take all the meat and cheese off a dish to make it vegan. I realise that this is not a vegan restaurant, but they are a big enough chain to have their own vegan menu. They managed to make very nice vegan cakes and ice cream, but got this one a bit wrong. Staff were very nice, but there is a real lack of sauce and especially veg. What I ate was fairly nice, it was just the balance of ingredients that was a bit off.

I have been twice there so far and my experience has been average. On the plus side - the staff is really nice and friendly and the pizza there was good. On the minus - I found the pasta which is supposedly Zizzi's favourite quite plain and nothing special. The wine we ordered was too warm and theoretically I paid more for the medium glass where the amount practically wasn't differet to my husband's small glass. I was surprised they don't have mojito on their coctail list (and basically most of the coctails has prosecco in them, which I don't like so had hard time to find anything to drink). We were also attacked by wasps while sitting outside, but I guess it was out of the hands of the staff, nevetherless it was also one of the reasons we didn't enjoy or visit there :)
