Very clean and well presented venue. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was very good but the ribs could have been a little bit softer. I would have given 5* as it was very good value but the fiance said 4* because of her ribs

I liked the layout of the place, the bar is separate to the restaurant so no hustle bustle or drunks near where your relaxing and eating, and the restaurant layout is very different to other places which makes it different and quirky.

Tuesday evening I was served by Alison very friendly, helpful and professional, Wednesday and Thursday I was served by Amanda who was also very friendly, helpful and professional. Constantly topping up my drinks all evening, great staff. Because of these two individuals I would come back here, they really made my visit an enjoyable one. Food was also of a great standard.

The restaurant was nice but it took a while to be shown to a table. For a all you can eat buffet they are quite stingy with hot food and no hot chocolate or mocha option for coffee. The coffee machine is extremely old. The cooked breakfast was nice. Staff were lovely.

We waited a good 5 minutes to be acknowledged by any staff member, maybe due to staff being on their phone in the bar, we ordered food and were told that we had 10 minutes to order as they stopped food between 3.00pm & 5.00pm, for a big pub chain we were very surprised they didn't have mayonnaise, how hard can it be to go to the supermarket and buy some to cover you until your delivery arrives. On the plus side the food was good.

Same group as the Bar and Block. However, here all the food was cooked to perfection. Plus, I was asked how I would like my roast meat: pink, medium or well done!! It was the only part of the customer service that was good. No one, until I'd eaten it, asked how I was enjoying the food. When I'd finished, it took a further 15-20 mins to clear the table and I had to ask for a coffee. I wasn't sure if they were short staffed as no one said. If they had said I would not be criticising now. It let down the chef's excellent work!

Food is always good at Millars Barn but our service was really slow and we're only told they didn't have something we ordered when then the food was delivered to the table. Sent her away to get a menu for options and she didn't even come back. Drinks were substituted if they didn't have what we ordered without even coming back to ask if we wanted an alternative. Popped in for a cup of tea whilst waiting for my child settling in session. Only had 45 minutes and they lovely gentleman gave me a tea for free. He must of seen I was quite nervous and felt abit lost. Such a great guy.

Arrived 8.30 we had not made a booking but the very friendly and helpful staff found us a table in the bar area allowing us to put 2 tables together as there was 7 of us. We ordered meals come quickly and we're all lovely.

Went today for the all you can eat breakfast. We hadnt booked as didnt know we had to but they let us go in just advised us to book next time. There was a decent selection of food. Hot food was sausages, bacon, fried eggs, mushrooms, Hash browns, grilled tomatoes and baked beans. (scrambled egg on request) There was a section for toasting so had Crumpets pancakes bread brown and white and croissants. Then they had yoghurts fruit salad and fruit and spreads jam and butter on a table next to toast. Also had water in jugs some juice and orange and apple juice had a good selection of cereal in the continental breakfast section. The price was very good kids eat free and the staff was very helpful and very polite was a good experience the children enjoyed playing in the little play area. We will deffo be going back again.

Booking was a challenge. We attempted to book using the online bot with no luck. It kept telling us there were no tables. We walked down & there was numerous empty tables. If serving steaks etc it would be good to have appropriate condiments. A restaurant with no mustard! On a positive note breakfast was very good 🙂

I’ve just paid £4 for an extra side of salad.. I mean for £4 it’s fair to expect a decent bowl full of salad! What arrived for my extra £4 was a tiny bowl of shredded cabbage! From my experience being a regular, if you have table service the quality of the food and portion size is better then the bar side. The ‘Harry potter’ fanatic waitress is amazing! She deserves recognition for going above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service. Just please work on consistent good quality and not rip off salad! 2021.. No further improvements to the salad bowl! Still £4 for garnish! This time everything other then the steak was cold. Disappointing as when taste card was accepted the value was equal to the bill. As it is now, it’s high end prices for low quality food. Staff are great. The young lady with the reddish hair is amazing😘

Good service, sat below the pass. Only reason I give a 4 is although we were a walk in we were made to travel 2 small flights of stairs with a pram. We were offered a high chair once we got to our seat but we're already being stared at by surrounding tables. We obliged and got on with our own thing, had good food and was served reasonably quickly. We just felt the surrounding customers Intimidating like we were in the wrong place. Personally it doesn't bother me but had to keep ensuring the family members I was with that we deserved to be there as much as other customers.

My partner and myself stayed in the premier Inn hotel, next-door to the beefeater and got the deal with breakfasts, the staff were friendly and reachable to ask for any assistance. The food was great and thought we would come for lunch for the final day. Same again, got a warm welcome from staff, got allocated a member of staff who would deal with any problems with our visit. Unfortunately when we arrived, they were short staffed but the main team member was on the ball and made it worth the visit. always enthusiastic and showed her exhaustion with all the running around, but with all that the food was great, service was very good, and shall be going back back.

An old established steak house with a Premier Inn attached. A basic "old-fashioned" menu which is cooked very nicely. The place is actually an old barn which has been converted and has had a number of refurbs over the years. It is very comfortable and the staff are friendly and efficient and always ready to please. It is very conveniently placed at one terminus of the tram which is very useful if nobody wants to drive and can enjoy a drink or two.

I've eaten here a couple of times over the last couple of months and have had a consistently good experience. My GF and I are both trying to eat low carb (ketogenic) food and this can be difficult when eating out. The menu at the Beefeater is very good as it has a good variety of things on offer - the usual chain pub type food but also with some more unusual or variations. Two key things for us are that they 1) offer side dishes of vegetables and 2) let us swap potatoes & Yorkshire puddings for an alternative (the waiter kindly went to check with the chef that this was OK). The menu is reasonably priced, the food quality was fine and the service was good - food came out without any delay and was "customised" exactly as we'd asked. One reviewer here complained that the 3 cheese steak fondue was a bit of a mess - but i thought it was amazing! the steak was so tasty and so was the cheese. Going forward, I can see this place becoming a favourite with my and my better half.

Went on Sunday at about 3pm. Didn't look busy but felt understaffed. Waitress was friendly but put us on a small table despite having a young toddler with us. There was a larger one next to us which 2 people were seated and an empty slightly larger 4 seater would have been perfect next to them (there were 5 of us including toddler) that would have been perfect! It was on us for not asking really. It was a nightmare flagging down the waiting staff as they were always busy. We asked for a few things like crayons, mint sauce for lamb but we had to ask a couple of times to different people because they would just forget. Not to blame them because they did look busy. Even the drink orders were wrong when we clearly stated what we wanted. The food was good! My sister got a very burnt Yorkshire pudding though but they seemed happy to replace it - the waiting staff even look a bit confused as to why such a burnt one was allowed out the kitchen. Everything else was great though! When it came to the bill, we had no hope of getting anyone after asking a waiter who rushed by promptly forgot after we were waiting there 10 minutes and he was cleaning tables. After 20 minutes of trying to flag down staff again - we had to stand at the front desk to get someone's attention so we could pay the bill and leave. The atmosphere and decor are nice and there is even a pokemon go gym nearby - it just feels understaffed.

A brilliantly designed pub with a great atmosphere. We are staying at the Premier Inn next door and stopping here for breakfast. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, there's plenty of choice for breakfast. Our cooked breakfast has been delayed for some reason so can't vouch for the quality but the continental is lovely with plenty of choice of juices, cereals, pastries and toast.

Any Salads ,pasta or fish dishes have poor execution, too much sauce or elements from the menu missing. I was looking forward to the rainbow bowl at £10.99. Not a cheep salad. I'm not a vegetarian but I'm trying to be healthy post Christmas. It sounded tasty. The plate came not as advertised with no : Rocket,pea shoots and cold tortillas. Wraps came and the vast amount of plate was full of tomatoes and homous. A busy night meant I couldn't give feedback but as it is not a hot dish I believe my feedback would have not really been responded too. Give non meat dishes the same pride in execution and flavour. Great menu, shame about the finess!!!

Great little restaurant service was ok ordered koftas to start, only to be told 10mins later there were no koftas left, apologies were offered and accepted koftas replaced with chicken wings. Paprika chicken was good and well presented Bar was good with a good atmosphere although busy and only two members of staff visibly working so they did appear under pressure looking after the bar and waiting on tables and clearing and cleaning tables. I have stayed in the Premier Inn attached to the Millers Barn before and have eaten here on a number of occasions so would recommend this pub & restaurant, its good value for money and the food and service is generally very good.

We were staying at the Travel Inn next door so had dinner and breakfast here. For a "Pub" steak the Sirloin was very, very good and as we dined early both mains and desert from the “Early Bird” section of the menu made them very reasonable. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, especially as we have a 15 month old little boy – they bought him a balloon as we finished breakfast this morning. Slightly disappointed that my two pints of John Smiths was not that tasty - but as the first one was free as we were staying next door it was not worth complaining about - should have ordered something different for the 2nd pint !!! Shame the Beefeater where we live was taken over by the Hungry Horse chain a few years ago if it meant that the food would be as good as it was here.
