Craving for some good food, I been very surprised to find this central bistro. The place was crowded and I recommend you to book a table before you are at their door.
The staff was very friendly and careful arranging the table after each meal, asking you for more drinks, I was very impressed of them.
The food was good, the flavours were spot on, the only negative remark is that the beef was overcooked, even for a slow cooked dish, was kind of mushy weird texture here and there.
The sorbet was fantastic and I do recommend you to go for it.

I haven't been for a time as the last time I went, it just wasn't as it used to be. This trip, however, was wonderful. I went with my favourite (pork medallions) and a few sides, and the quality, flavour and quantity of the food was phenomenal. The price for what you get is more than reasonable for the experience and flavours. The service was delightful and it made the time spent there excellent. I'll be heading back soon to try some other delectable dishes. My only minor gripe is that the roasted garlic bulb has been taken off the menu, which was a favourite of mine, but, that just gives more reason to try new things.

Had a great meal celebrating our daughters graduation, food was amazing! I had the mushrooms to start, beef bourguignon then creme brulee. All dishes were perfection
Service was great and the wine was well recommended. Nice atmosphere, no complaints from all of us

I really loved my visit here in this lovely restaurant. the food is good value for money and Baz who works here is really friendly and helpful in selecting a good wine for me. She's an excellent waitress. All good in this restaurant. Definitely worth a pop in of you are feeling hungry in the city of Nottingham

Great food, lovely place to eat, and really lovely staff
M. W.
Great food (although could have been a bit warmer!) Unfortunately the service makes for a lower scores. Very very rushed, we'd only been looking at the menu for 2mins before being harassed to order (no offer of drinks first)
Then plates cleared away whilst still chewing the last mothful of food.
All that said, the actual food was nice, but not quite warm enough (ie it didn't need any cooling when it came out, so turned cold very quickly)
We left due to the rushed feeling which really spoilt what could have been a nice meal.

The food was excellent, the staff was very nice and welcoming, I will be coming back. Being French I have a slight bias against going to French restaurants abroad because they tend to be expensive and bland, but I went to Bistrot Pierre because I felt like eating some food from my home and I regret having waited so long to try it. The starter was good, the Poulet Chasseur was delicious, and the crème brûlée was to die for. And since it was an early dinner it only cost around £30 for two people.

We had not booked, but they found us a table. The staff a friendly and went through the menu. The food was lovely, well presented and tasted divine. Everything arrived in a timely manner with a smile. The bill was very reasonable and I would highly recommend a visit.

Top quality french restaurant with a great customer service. Ricardo the GM was really kind and professional! We'll be back.

The three is for the food which was good quality for the price with good options on the menu.
However, the service was subpar. Firstly, having to ask for more drinks us frustrating surely that's also how a restaurant makes their most profit. So after asking for drinks we then had to chase for them. Secondly, there was an offer of additional sides for free which was great but then these had to requested again. Finally, orders were taken for desserts, desserts came out but there was no spoons which also had to be chased. Just not quite on it service wise.

Five of us for lunch and had three courses for £15.95! Can't fault the food, was good, service excellent and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely return. Thanks to all the staff for looking after us.
C. B.
What happened to free bread??? The basket of bread was part of the ambiance here ! This is now charged and quite frankly although only £1 pp it will make us think twice before returning! What has happened here as the food portions were very small and presentation non existent. And the price of the puddings is appalling (£7.95 for a tiny square of sticky toffee). Better places to go nowadays which is a shame as been going for 30 years.

Great food, great service.
We were a table of twelve at Sunday lunch.
The staff coped excellently.
Not too expensive to dine here.

We came as a group of 9 for breakfast. We’d booked in advance. The food was alright - not special but functional. Eggs a bit over cooked, some portions very small. Service was very slow and disorganised - it took well over half an hour to get our breakfasts despite being almost the only customers in the place. The orders were also incorrect - several of the choices of toast/eggs were done incorrectly. When the first breakfasts arrived, we asked for butter and ketchup, which didn’t arrive until we had almost finished eating. Cutlery and plates were provided greasy. I don’t think we’d come back.

Lovely food and even better service, my Girlfriend and I came on the 13th feb for the Valentine’s Weekend meal. Duck leg main stole the show and the rump steak was amazing. Wanted to thank Gia in particular for great service and her attentiveness. She really helped make the night as special as it could be. Thank you again to the staff at Bistro Pierre and we will definitely be visiting again!

Came in in a group of 8. We placed the orders and the food took over 30min to come to the table. One of the G&Ts never came even when we asked 3 times, olive oil the same thing. My friends chicken was pink in the middle and he had to pull some bits a side. He ended up eating the side salad. Another friend asked for a sirloin and it was pure super small the steak and she was not able to eat it all. Mistakes happens and that is why a rate 3 stars. But if coming back again or it does gets way better or gets a 1 star.

It was Ok..
We visited, for our wedding anniversary meal, at 5.30pm on Friday evening so the restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived but the waiting staff carried on talking to one another whilst we waited to be taken to our table.
My first and second beers of choice were out of stock so I chose a 3rd, Biere 94, which was passable. Our starter turned up within two minutes of ordering, so quick that our drinks hadn't arrived yet. We asked for a pause before main course was served. On to dessert and more availability issues, no sticky toffee pudding so we opted for creme brulee instead. Cappuccino to finish followed by an incorrect bill. All in all we enjoyed our meal but availability, average (at best) service and bill errors took the gloss off. I think we'll try somewhere different for next year's anniversary meal ♥️

Amazing food, excellent service & brilliant atmosphere. Always a wonderful dining experience
K. W.
Short staffed pre theatre. 1 girl seemed to be doing everything. I got a soup spoon for a pudding of a helper when I had to ask for cutlery. I've been here several times and it's normally good. This is my first visit post COVID. Visited in May midweek.
T. J.
The prix fixe menu is rather limited. The mushroom taste was OK but wouldn't have passed Paul Hollywood's soggy bottom test. The pork medallions were more slices of over cooked meat and the green beans were tough.
M. K.
Amazing cousine, very welcoming, lovely interior as well. Definitely recommend.
J. B.
My starter and main meal was very nice. My desert was a bit of a let down due to the chocolate sauce not being able to melt the chocolate Bomb. But it was tasty.
H. H.
Fantastic 3 course meal for Boxing day well worth it. Buzzing atmosphere as everyone was in a Christmas mood. The waitress service was excellent. Well worth the money.
A. F.
We had our work Christmas lunch/dinner at Bistrot Pierre. In terms of the venue, I really liked the high ceiling (don't ask me why, I just did), when it is busy it is on the cosy side of crowded but then the noise can get to a level where you cannot have a proper convo with your companions. Mind you we sat at the side of the restaurant where the bigger dining companies are sat and there were so many of us that we took the whole section.
The food was really good. The service was excellent - we were a large group and nobody seemed to remember what they had ordered. The lady who served us was pregnant and did a great job, I would like to commend her on that. She looked after us well.
Now, I found the drinks quite a bit on the expensive side for me - but I am an impoverished intergalactic hitchhiker who has to make do on 30 Altarian dollars a day.
S. B.
Great food, reasonably priced, really good, attentive service.
S.
This is a great restaurant! We were a table of 4 and all the food was great. I had the Confit of Duck, the best duck I've ever had. Also I'd recommend the Beef Bourguignon and the chicken dish. The ambiance was also really nice considering the situation at the minute.
The only thing I'd stay away from is the steaks, especially the most expensive one, as it's not worth the money and they do other food so much better. And also the crêpes were a little disappointing for dessert so I'd stay away from those as well. But otherwise a great French restaurant!
W. B.
Great food. Good service, very enjoyable.
D. S.
The best steak I've had by far. Really good price, quick service, will definitely be going again soon
A. P.
The staff are friendly, professional and make you feel looked after. The food was beyond amazing full off flavour, perfectly cooked and well presented.
S. S.
We arrived nearly 10 minutes late. Food was delicious & the service from Seb was excellent. Always enjoy Bistrot Pierre. Very busy & a great atmosphere
R. J.
If you in the market for nice French food with a good selection of wine to go with it in Nottingham then why not try Le Bistrot Pierre
It located on Milton street so close to all major hotels in Nottingham and across the road from the Hilton. Do book ahead as it does get busy in the evening. The food is great and they have an exquisite wine collection. The service is great, timely and friendly. You can also try their Soirée gastronomique, with 6 courses for £23, on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. Well worth a try!
C. C.
We handnt booked as we weren't to sure what time we would be eating, we went in and it was busy, they didnt turn us a way just simply said for us to wait and they would get something sorted soon. 10mins later we had a table ! The food was superb, do think we had some veggies missing but plenty with out and meant we had room for dessert! Host and Waiter was lovely couldnt fault, also the wine was lovely. Would go back!
R. K.
Food is in general good quality and in a reasonable price. Drinks are quite pricey. I have had stake once, it was chewy and no medium rare as requested. Chicken was very dry. Even if it is a breast, in a restaurant I would expect it to be tender and not dry. Main meals usually come with fried veggies (if two people are having main meals) or with a choice of fries or salad. Starters such as soups, calamari and mussels are good. So are deserts.
P. L.
Rearranged tables for our group of 5. Very nice waitress looked after us through the whole time. Service excellent and the food had no complaints from any of us. Lovely surroundings and 'unusual' music, help create a nice atmosphere. Never been in this restaurant before, but given the opportunity I'd definitely go again.
J. C.
Absolutely fabulous
Highly recommended
A must to go place in Nottingham
D. S.
Great food at a great price! Will definitely come back

We booked for New Year's Eve and we had a lovely meal. The service was on point. The atmosphere was good. An overall good experience. Will continue to dine here.
A. H.
Superb meal, all four of us choose the roast, good quality ingredients and well cooked, and a very ample portion. Desserts are ok. The waiter was ok, but could do with some further direction/guidance from more experienced staff.
T. S.
Food was excellent. Service was a bit hit and miss. But an enjoyable evening nonetheless..
J. C.
Always a good place for lunch or diner. Very good menu something for everybody. Good atmosphere friendly staff
A. F.
Lovely little french eatery. Can't fault them on the prices. Nice food and extremely affordable which i need as a student. There is even a 2/3 course deal up to 6pm

I have been going to this restaurant for a few years and the food was as always really good but I felt the service was not as good as previously
T. W.
Great service & fantastic menu. Will definitely go again. The prix fixe is excellent value for a great food.
A. O.
Excellent value for money, rillettes were delicious with warm sourdough bread, haddock was juicy and went great with the fried potatoes and vegetables The beer selection is lovely too, with Vedette at good price
E. W.
Had my graduation meal here. Food was too notch and I will definitely be coming again, thank you!
S. P.
Food was very delicious, there wasn't much gap between tables, should have had more staff being a Saturday night. Cannot fault the food it was truly good.
S. H.
Stayed here for lunch before going to the theatre. Lovely meals will definitely visit again.
V. W.
Very nice .lovely atmosphere service was excellent. Will defo be going back.

Wonderful family evening. Good food at a reasonable price. Nathan our trainee waiter was excellent and gave us attentive service all evening.
J. J.
Good service, great food. Childrens menu is the best out there
S. B.
Great food for a sensible price in a real nice atmosphere. I will definitely be going back.
S. B.
Sic of us are from the Prix Fixe menu as it was before 6 pm. All of the meals were delicious. The only slight issue was the small amount of bread printing provided, but they were more than happy to supply more when asked.
S. T.
Great staff and service. The food is very tasty and well cooked. Good selection on the menus that should meet most peoples needs. The toilets are fab!
J. P.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Keep coming back again and again
J. M.
Incredible food and really friendly staff! We booked in for a large group and still got great fast service. Everyone had a great time!
A. B. M.
Lovely French restaurant, friendly staff, food always tasteful!
L. C.
Love this place. Never had a bad meal. The staff are super attentive and friendly. It makes you feel special on an ordinary day!
D. W.
I found the staff delightful and very professional . The food was delicious. It was amazingly good value. Oh and the house white is really good 🥰
S. S.
Not the cheapest, or the largest portions. But very enjoyable good quality food. Polite staff who were helpfull. And nice environment to eat in.
K. B.

R. L.
Visited for breakfast at the weekend. Extremely good value for money, excellent service and very Covid safe. Pleasure to dine with you.
N. P.
Food was very nice. Service was slow. It was busy
M. S.
I went on one of the days they do a 6 course menu for £23.95. The food was nice, nothing world-breakingly amazing, but still very nice food and surprisingly good portions considering the price I was paying.
It's a nice restaurant inside, with good theming throughout and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were friendly although service was a little slow (however the restaurant was FULL when we got there so it was reasonable).
Overall a very enjoyable meal. Not sure how good the value would be eating off of the regular menu, but for one of their event menus it's definitely worth a visit. Would go again.
A. R.
I feel Bistrot Pierre is one of the better chain restaurants. I have never had a poor experience at the Nottingham one. Staff are always pleasant and helpful and the menus offer a good choice with interesting veggie options. The last time we went, I opted for the two-course Sunday lunch and enjoyed it. Would recommend
R. P.
Good location and service let down by overcooked and dry porc medallions. We will try again and hope for better next time
J. R.
Great atmosphere, great food and great service, just what we wanted before the theatre
A. L.
Minute steak was very nice - cooked pink but my wife's steak was too well-done. Reasonable prices.
P. H.
The staff are so friendly. The place is beautiful and most importantly, the food is wonderful. I am so impressed.
K. a.
Good French brasserie - loved the Mushroom Fricassee 🍄- good wine and attentive service
A. D.
Lovely food. Staff are all very polite
V. D.
Excellent Food and Great Service. Really like the place.
Be nice for the chef and staff to see customers as they do deserve real praise for the meals they prepare.
J. T.
Great place, lovely atmosphere and food is good too. The staff are very friendly and the 2 or 3 course prix fixe menu is good value! Looking forward to coming back soon. :)
K. R.
Ended up having a 3 course meal... and I enjoyed every course. Definitely recommend
K.
A very pleasant two course lunch for two. Not too crowded thankfully. The pork loins were excellent and the chocolate brownie superb. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
P. F.
Friendly service great food. I had steak and it was cooked spot on with no gristle.
Local to town centre.
D. W.
Great food, good service, pleasant ambiance. BUT not a full menu (3 items 'unavailable' - that our group of four originally ordered, which was a little disappointing for Monday, early evening). Also, ordered a bottle of beer, given lager, and then discovered my choice of beer was unavailable - so they had tried to fob me off with an alternative, presumably in the hope I wouldn't notice.
Would still go back.
J. B.
Fabulous lunch yesterday with some of my very good friends.
Excellent service with tasty food served by very friendly and courteous staff.
Wonderful to get back to this restaurant that always maintains very high standards of food , service and welcomes
Thank you
C. S.
Fabulous restaurant, food was delicious and service spot on.
G. H.
Great food in a quality restaurant. Good 3 course offering and food was very nice and didn't have to wait long.
A. C.
Great service, loved the white chocolate and caramel mousse.
N. C.
I thought the food was tasty but small portions.
Two slices of duck for the main course when I was expecting a duck breast. This was for the full price evening menu & not the early bird menu when I would expect smaller portions.
P. C.
Lovely Valentine's meal, really good! Great food, excellent house rosé, fantastic portions, super desserts. Attentive service, good price, thanks!
F. T.
Really fantastic service! Titus was our waiter and he was really knowledgeable about the wine and incredibly patient with my grandparents, all which made what can be a bit of a stressful situ very enjoyable, plus the food was delicious
b. g.
Lovely atmosphere, good food and good service
P. P.
Lovely place. Been a few times. Very reasonable. My food was very nice aa usual.
S. S.
An ideal venue for lunch. City centre location with first class service. Additionally a great menu that meets everyone's needs including vegan.
Never fails to come up to expectations.
D. A.
Nice atmosphere friendly staff food good but small portions 3 pieces of calamari and sprinkling of parsley not as in the photo shown on website had to ask for another portion of veg as only had one portion to share between 2 otherwise would recommend as good place to dine
R. B.
Marvelous food and atmosphere.
The staff are soo nice it like being on holiday and eating out.
The menu was a great mix of favourites with some exciting additions.
As you might be able to gather i love this place
j. g.
Beautiful atmosphere. Food was nice & the service was great during these tricky times. I ordered the beef bourguignon which is their signature dish btw. I wasn't blown away by it and probably wouldn't order it again. The starters, my wife's dish, cocktails etc were all great.
I. H.
Food amazing. Staff brilliant. Good wine selection. Will definitely be dropping in every time we visit Nottingham.
s. e.
Food was amazing. Service was outstanding and such good value for your money. Lovely peaceful atmosphere thank you
P. C.
I went here with my wife to celebrate a birthday. Friendly staff and lovely food. We both had the beef bourguignon which was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The free birthday wine was lovely too and we finished with excellent creme brulee, sticky toffee pudding and coffee. I would say it is good value and would imagine it represents excellent value for money if you choose to visit when there are special deals etc. We visited on a Sunday evening which was fairly quiet once the early birds had left. Will definitely visit again.
J. S.
A frequent visitor to your restaurant and never disappointed, food is always gorgeous
j. r.
I was with my daughter. I found the 2 person seating very uncomfortable. The service was slow.. We had afternoon tea.. I found the scones spoilt it. They were hard and tasted stoggey. They forgot my tea and my daughters coffee. No tea bag in the tea pot . It arrived after we asked could have it now. It was a birthday presant from my daughter. I felt disappointed. The staff as we were leaving were pleasant. I realize things have been really hard for them. I don't think we will be back. Shame thou.
P. W.
French bistro in the heart of Nottingham with an extensive list of wines available by glass and carafe.

My Mums 1st trip into town since lockdown,we lost Dad in Feb so her appetite is not good ,she ate everything and wants to come again .
Lovely meal as always, the staff are an absolute credit to you, kind, pleasant ,nothing

Excellent food and excellent service from the staff 👍
M. H.
Food was good but service was pretty slow.
I. W.
Very tasty food excellent service
S. L.
I had the garlic and parsley chicken and it was amazing! Fall off the bone and very tender, the garlic was incredible. The price was reasonable for the quality of food as well 👌🏻
C. L. M. W.
The food were nice. Reasonable price and friendly staffs here. We had a birthday dinner here and prepare a cake here.
d. f.
Very nice. Good service. Excellent steak!!!!
J. s.
Amazing food and nice atmosphere with friendly staff. The service was quick the food portions were good
E. G.
Great atmosphere, lovely food and menu marked up for gluten free options. Would be brilliant for coeliacs if every restaurant did this.
C. A. C.
First time we have been here, and really enjoyed it.....
The menu is a little different, and made a refreshing change. It isn't over extensive, so easy to get through. I had "onion soup" followed by "beef bourginon" and "tart citron" to finish with....... all was absolutely delicious. My husband and friends all had something different, and all enjoyed theirs.
All the staff were very polite and helpful.
The time we had to wait for our meal was just right.
The price is realistic, and average...... certainly worth it...... we shall definitely be going again.
s. w.
Service was very slow. Afternoon tea was nice. Selection of cakes and sandwiches were good.
L. U.
Lovely tasty food, excellent value and friendly helpful staff
T. C.
Had an afternoon tea which was ok but not as good as other places in Nottingham. Fillings on the baguettes were not as advertised. Cakes were frozen ones and abit sticky. Meals looked good so will probably visit again for one.
N. B. B.
Great service, great atmosphere and delicious food.
L. S.
Great food at very reasonable prices. Portion sizes really good.
C. M.
I've been here a few times and absolutely loved it every time. My most recent visit was on an offer they were running over January and February. And even though it was on this deal, it was still beautiful food. Steak-frites is done so so well here! I didn't take a photo I'm afraid, as I had to dive right in!
P. F.
I was in town having my haircut and walked past here and decided to go in for breakfast instead of a cheap chain pub or fast food takeaway. I wasn't disappointed, for the price I got a full breakfast with coffee and fresh orange juice. The black pudding was delightful and all cooked fresh. Really friendly staff and really nice place to dine in. I will be back here every month from now on to treat myself to breakfast when in town definitely.
D. H.
Been a few times and was a little disappointed. Service wasn't up to normal standard and they even forgot my son's meal. Food was average. Derby's is much better.
M. B.
Pleasantly surprised. Really good food and friendly service.
B. B.
Great food, excellent service 😊
M.
Usually excellent food but the shepherd's pie was really salty and could do with a bit more choice in the evenings, usually go in the day when there's more on offer. Steak and frites is always excellent though.
Setup for Covid was perfect, didn't feel at all overwhelmed.
A. P.
Never disappointed. The food is always brilliant, as are the staff.
We have recently had our first post lockdown dining experience here and it was fabulous to be back!
Safe, delicious, friendly and relaxed.
I. M.
Had a super breakfast this morning. We were a group of 23 people. The staff were very friendly and coped brilliantly.
Thanks guys
K. C.
An absolute brilliant restaurant with exceptional food and the service was 5*. We had our service delivered by Margaret and she was very polite, attentive and very quick with our requirements.
We ate the beef bougignon and the steak, both very fairly priced and well above average turnout. Couldn't fault anything from our evening.
L. W.
Food lovely but service woeful
D. S.
Came here for lunch before my daughter's graduation. We were seated up stairs which was lovely with attentive and friendly staff. The lunch menu offered excellent value for menu, great choice and tastes superb with good size portions. To say how busy it was as well we weren't waiting ages for food and everyone was happy to tuck into the complimentary bread and butter.
K. C.
The food was nice enough although it took too long to arrive. They were out of their best beer, on Saturday night? Also, no mashed potatoes...felt like offering them a fork! Not really up to the standard I expect of them sadly.
S. A. B.
Food is always lovely freshly cooked and very good value. Good wine list but the house wine is very palatable. My absolute favourite creme brulee desert is always gorgeous. The only issue to warn you of is the upstairs toilets are mixed. Personally I find it quite disconcerting to be stood next to a strange man when I am putting my lipstick on in the mirror.
R. T.
Incredible.
We came here on New Years Eve and had a great meal. The service was top notch. We were welcomed with some sparkling wine when we sat down.
I had the Mushroom Brioche starter which was really flavoursome and the brioche was still crispy.
We both had the steak main course which was one of the nicest I've ever had. It was cooked to perfection.
We ordered desert and it came very quickly. The Chocolate Mousse was rich and creamy.
My partner asked to come here for her birthday as she was so impressed.
J. L.
We had the private dining room for a table of 14 which was very private and nice for everyone. We had the lunch menu and there was many good options on there. I had the 'Buger Maison' which was basically Burger and Chips. It was decent but nothing special. Everyone else was very happy with their meals, the rump steaks looked particularly nice. There is only 1 chicken option and I would have maybe liked more chicken options on the lunch menu and there was also not many vegetarian options either. One person on our table was vegan and they didn't have vegan butter. The toilets near us were also shared gender toilets which put some of the females off from going to the loo. All in all, everything went smooth and it was lovely, the staff are all lovely and very attentive.
G. H.
A group of 7 girls came here for dinner before a night out. We called a couple of hours ahead of time to see if we could get a table and they accommodated us though I felt we got lucky as the place was pretty busy. Food was tasty and everyone was pleased. The wine was very good and we left a happy and well fed bunch. Definitely worth a visit.
K.
Having been many times since they opened years ago. It's noticeable that although the service levels remain excellent. The food quality and portion sizes have dwindled somewhat. Disappointing considering the prices. Which are very top end. Good food. But very expensive now the portion sizes have reduced.
L. C.
Breakfast was really nice everything was cooked to perfection
T. L.
Whilst the food and atmosphere are excellent more attention should be made of the food build up in the grove's of the table surface, either change the surface to a smooth top or clean them onto a regular basis⁰
M. R.
we went there on a Sunday evening and really enjoyed the visit. We were promptly seated, the staff was very welcoming and attentive, the food excellent, and the prices fair for an inner city restaurant. I reluctantly only give four stars, though, for two reasons. Firstly, if you don't drink wine you have a poor choice of industrial lagers. Secondly, we were dining in the downstairs area, and these big open rooms are inevitably noisy despite all guests behaving well and keeping their voices down. Apart from that, I can very much recommend this place.
K. S.
We came here after being poorly let down by another French restaurant where the service was absolutely disgusting and incredibly poor. We came here out of chance and they managed to get us in last minute and the service, atmosphere and the food was absolutely amazing. We just wish we had come here first as our night was nearly ruined by the other place as we was celebrating our anniversary as well. Thankfully this place saved that for us. We would very highly recommend it. It's absolutely amazing in every way
V. H.
I've never eaten a bad meal here, it is consistently good. I chose my lunch from the £10 meal deal, and enjoyed fried crispy brie and chicken morrocan style followed, accompanied with fresh vegetables, amazing. You are always served with French bread and butter and a glass of chilled water. The staff greet you on arrival, are very friendly and professional.
D. R.
Visited for the first time early evening on Thursday for the Prix Fixe menu. It's obviously a popular offering as the place was pretty busy and has a nice atmosphere. It was a very pleasant experience and nothing I could fault. The food (chicken chasseur and pork) was very nice and service was polite and efficient. Would definitely visit again.
K. B.
Looks like a glorified pub to me but the food was good, we ordered vegetarian and fish, and the prices affordable, although not necessarily for every day. Very attentive staff. Not big on the coffee. Clean bathrooms. Extremely busy place, we went for lunch and it was very noisy and busy. Not really the place if you want a quiet relaxed meal.
S. C.
Wonderful food just a shame there was only 1 veggie option the other had sold out
J. B.
Really enjoyed lunch here. Friendly & quite atmospheric. Seemed pleasantly busy. Staff were friendly.
J. C.
Met some friends for lunch and everything was perfect. The service, the food & drink, the atmosphere in the restaurant and the price... Lovely 😊
K. H.
A lovely very french experience. Nice to be out out enjoying good food. This place was very busy on a Monday lunchtime.
D. K.
Staff great. Food so-so. (Bland risotto, untrimmed beans for a start). Menu items not available by 6pm which would be fine if they informed the staff - who incidentally were doing a fantastic job. It's a pity because the potential is there but, like its predecessor many years ago, this might be a case of growing too big too quickly.
W. R.
Nice atmosphere, and fantastic food.. Staff great. Prices ok
s. l.
A good place for reasonably priced lunch.
Lots of choice from the fixed price menu and the food is always well presented and delicious, but not pretentious. Service is always friendly and efficient. There is a taxi rank directly outside, so you can enjoy a drink with your meal and get home safely!
L. T.
This is a great restaurant. The place itself is clean and has a good atmosphere about it. The food is great quality and good value, and to top it off the service is of a very high standard - welcoming and attentive but not in your face all the time. Well worth a visit.
M. V.
Good service and nice food, but it's not the best French food in town.
T. H.
I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here. The food is beautiful. Smoked Mackerel Paté is always a go to choice for a starter and always delivers in taste as do all the dishes I've tried.
The staff working front of house are always polite, friendly and helpful, seeing them answer questions for others also shows they know the menu well and are happy assist where possible.
Look forward to my next visit
A. S.
Fast friendly service, great value and very tasty food. Highly recommended
G. H.
Great place to go for a special occasion when you can afford to spend a bit more. Couple of negatives... once your course was eaten someone was there 1 min later to remove plates, however they took a while to get the bill. Second negative was where sat. If I was Covid-19 obsessed I would of pointed out that the table near was a lot less than 2 meters.
A. B.
My niece and I had a beautifully cooked steak and the chocolate brownie with ice cream was amazing. The staff were lovely, very attentive and friendly. Would recommend for a lovely dining experience x
V. H.
Great food, good value for money and lovy staff
A. R.
Had a great lunchtime meal here today. The staff were very helpful, as we were a party of six including a disabled person we only had to wait a short time while a table was secured for us. Great food and great value. Thanks again for a lovely lunch.
H. C.
Had Christmas Lunch with my family, it was nice and the ambience is great!
D. P.
Good food, very generous portions, friendly service. No negatives
K. M.
Good food at a fair price, with decent sized portions.
Good, friendly service.
Some tables are a bit close together and it can get a bit noisy.
Nice & cosy on a cold day.
A. B.
So much food! But wow it was all very good! Having not been to BP for a few years we decided to go back and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening, the atmosphere was very good and not too loud - like it can be in some restaurants. I had one of the half chicken dishes and ordered green beans and dauphinoise as two sides, definitely didn't need two sides!
A. B.
Not been for a while. Service by freindly staff and food were fantastic. Covid safe without feeling crammed in between big screens, nice atmosphere. Had the salmon, steak and cottage pie along with starters and desert from the lunchtime menu. All enjoyed and great value. Will return.
H. E.
Our favourite restaurant in Nottingham need I say anymore
j. r.
Loved this place for a 1st date.. intimate and staff nor pushy they allowed us to be together.
R. W.
Disappointed. Starters were excellent, we both had winter risotto. Main course was below average. Beef bourguignon tasted great but was missing vegetables. The sea bass again tasted ok but the accompanying muscles were either closed, broken and embedded with the shell or needed cleaning of 'it's beard'. But what did annoy us was the points system. According to their app we had accumulated enough points for a free 2 course meal. At the checkout we were told the new menu needed us to have more points and the app was wrong. This meant we had to pay full price. We only dined there today because we knew we were getting a free meal, according to the out dated up to date app. £15.95 isn't going to break the bank but if you haven't budgeted for it, it can upset the rest of your day. We will eat there again but we'll be cautious of any promotions.
S. E.
My husband and myself had a friendly memorable evening. We were really well looked after and the food was very good value for the money we spent. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.
M.
Went with a large group [14] they seemed a little chaotic with our food order and forgot a few things. The waitress was very kind and friendly even tried to fix a wonky table leg. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was nice and chilled
N. R.
This restaurant never disappoints. From a warm welcome to any equally warm farewell, our group of 6 had a wonderful time.
The food was, as always, excellent as was the service by Pablo, Ave, Alec and Lilu but this is a team effort and mention must be made of all staff involved in providing a great evening.
C. L.
Located right next to the large shopping centre, nice drinks selection and atmosphere. Some exposed piping on the wall is very hot by the radiator so be wary of children near it, not really a kid friendly restaurant anyway. I had the sea bass and mussels, which was quite nice though the bass was a little overdone. All in all, a rather standard French restaurant.
K. F.
Lovely food which is great value for money especially their set menu deals.... The staff are friendly and happy to accommodate even the fussiest of taste buds. Love the fact they have a loyalty card for regular visitors.
J. G.
This is amazing my favourite place for a meal gluten free menu is really good and the atmosphere and staff are friendly. This is a lovely designed restaurant.
I'm reviewing this restaurant I've been recently. Still very good food for gluten free they could do with adding more desert's for people with celiac disease.. for this reason 4*
N. T.
Went to the soire gastromique on every 2nd Tuesday. Well worth £24 for 6 courses. Great for trying good quality French food for the first time and in lovely surroundings. Good value for money. The breaded brie and the chocolate compote were particularly good courses. I will try to go again this winter.
M. H.
Had a surprise as at first had not intended to use this place as it had the appearance of being out of my price range. I got pleasantly surprised. The table was not reserved but they found seats for us and 2 and half hours later we became friends with other customers and staff fantastic place excellent service and food will go again
D. R.
Went here on a date at lunch so we could get the lunch menu. Just under £15 for a three course meal and the food was excellent!
Great value for money and the service, food quality and free bread were all great factors. I don't usually leave a tip but I did here!
K. P.
Food was fantastic. Arrived really quick after ordering. The staff were friendly and very good at their job.
S. A.
Lovely place and the food was great. Service was quick but not rushed. Definitely value for money, would have paid alot more for food of that quality and the presentation was superb. Definitely a firm favourite and can't wait to go back.
R. R.
I state with saying that I am Italian. this is the top of the restaurants that can be found in Nottingham excellent cuisine excellent location. but one of the strengths not to be underestimated is the fellow (Italian) waiter who, from that touch of class and profundionality, that good evening repeated more than once, that advice suitable for the customer. indeed satisfied indeed I do not deny that if I could I would go every day.
C. F.
Attended BistrotPierre as we normally do when we are in Nottingham. My wife and I attended the Christmas Market, and decided to go to the Bistrot for a meal. It was the Xmas fayre meal and it was excellent. Good value for money, well presented, and nobody would be disappointed with the service, etc. Our waitress Margarette was very professional in her attitude to us and her other customers. I cannot praise her, or the manager highly enough. We attend BistrotPierre whenever we are in Nottingham, and I would advise you to try it as well. It is situated on Milton Street, and everyone seems to know the place. I would advise you to book, as there always seems to be a queue to get in, it is that popular. Try it, and you will not be disappointed.
N. C.
Great value dining in a stylish setting. Great service and high quality food. Price fix lunch menu has a good selection.
Worth a visit. Can get very busy at weekends.
J. C.
Great staff and taste food, variety of French style dishes. Well priced.
G. L.
Fantastic food here and waiting staff really friendly will definitely be back as lots of choices for celiac suffering.
a. b.
We had two course pre-fixed meal on Sunday afternoon. Wait for table under 5 minutes. Tried new Vietnamese shredded beef which was okay but a bit too dry for me. Main chicken breast in a lovely creamy sauce wonderful. Service from our table waiter poor due to snatching many cards out of our hands then having pursed lips with attitude. He was spoken to by member of party where waiter denied there was an issue! Witnessed waiter speak to his manager who then cautiously looked at our table but then did not approach us to ask whether we were okay with food or service! Served by other waiting staff which who were more attentive and enjoyed a much better experience. Have been coming for lunch meals for years so leta not spoil it now 😉
K. M.
food was good, however the service was not so good. We were a party of 8, not a huge number, also we hadn't been asked to pre order. It was 50 minutes after ordering that we were told that the starter 2 of our party had ordered was not available. New starters had to be ordered. All of the starters arrived 10 minutes later apart from mine. I was then asked what I had ordered by at least 2 members of staff. My starter finally arrived when most of my table were finishing theirs. Sadly the same thing happened with my main course. I normally enjoy an evening spent in Bistrot Pierre but sadly not this time.
K. S.
Lovely food but service a little slow
J. E.
Had lunch with my son and daughter last week
If your the type of person who chooses a dish then gets disappointed when better dishes arrive.
Go for the steak sandwich option (if your not a vegan)
It looked amazing and my sone said it was amazing
My daughter had a burger off the child menus which was ok
J. J.
Attended for a work lunch in June - party of around 20 was catered for but we had been sent the wrong menus for our advanced orders, so there were a few changes to meals on the day. Food was well presented and tasty and staff were attentive, if a little flustered.
G. S.
Just Superb. There can't be better value than this in Nottingham. The food, service and staff are second to none! £13.95 for 3 courses of excellently cooked and delicious food. Highly recommended. Be prepared to que for a table at lunch time as it is so popular.
C. L.
Great food great atmosphere brilliant staff
A. E.
Lovely scallops for starter and chocolate brownie dessert. But was disappointed about the main which I had the steak-frites. The steak very thin so there was not really much taste. It was so thin that is could not be cooked to what I wanted (pink) and was well done. I understand that bavette cut of steak is thin but that was incredibly thin. Would not have that steak again but the rest of the food was nice!
J. B.
The food was delicious and the service was great.
J. W.
Been coming to this restaurant for many years but last night the Boeuf bourguignon was not up to its usual standards as there was a chunk of the meat that was really hard and even the steak knife could not cut through it. Informed the staff but did not seem too interested not really the standard I expect from them
H. M.
Visited again for the Dine with Wine menu on 1st August. Fantastic evening. Food was delicious, the selected wines perfect for each course & as usual the waiting staff were attentive & very friendly. That combined with the buzz that this restaurant has at any time of the day, made for yet another great experience. Thanks Pablo, Bianca, Boglarka & team. See you again soon. You still remain my favourite Nottingham restaurant.
D. C.
A little on the expensive side but great food quality and fantastic wine. Service was a little slower than usual for BP as they were quite busy but we didn't mind as we were out for a relaxed evening. Thank you for a great night.
T. H. B.
Great food, wine and service at very reasonable prices; the beer's not bad either.
L. G.
Good value for money lovely meal begone going to the theatre
A. S.
Nice branch of this great eatery chain. The food is great, and the value is excellent, especially if you join the loyalty scheme. Service is always friendly and welcoming, and there is generally a health buzz around the place.
M. P.
Nice choices in the £11.95 for two courses lunch menu. Staff were lovely and happy to give a jug of tap water. Only gripe is the amount of veg between two. Exactly same amount as a lone diner's portion.
T. P.
One of my favourite restaurants, the food is always very good as is the service. You can't book, so you have to just show up and hope you can get a table. The decor is excellent thoughout, very classy.
Only downside is that the tables are too close together imo.
a. c.
A quick bit to eat with the better half.
All very good enjoyed my 2 course meal
S. A.
Walked long way round Nottingham looking for food and was lucky to find Bistrot Pierre. Menu not massive but great variety. Only had main course but served in about 5 mins. Great romantic atmosphere and background music really was in background. We could converse despite my hearing problems.
C. M.
Excellent food, service was impeccable. Attentive without being obtrusive. One of the nicest meals we've had in a restaurant for a long time.
l.
Favourite place to eat in Nottingham when my boyfriend and I want to treat ourselves ! Usually great service and amazing food. Experienced poor customer service on the phone today however, I wanted to call back 20 minutes later to change my booking and they never even made my first booking and essentially tried to blame me for the confusion. Tried to take the persons name who was on the phone to me the second time and they ignored me twice and just hung up. Not happy, but everyone has bad days. Just hope they're better next time.
C. D.
Much better then we thought it was going to be at this venue. The staff were super attentive but as usual I find the prices a little steep for what you actually receive on the plate. Still, thank you very much for a lovely evening on Friday.
P. L.
Have been here before and really enjoyed but tonight I got the feeling that it is trading on a previously good reputation that is no longer deserved. I know it is Christmas but we were pscked in like sardines and there were mistakes with the order as well. Not sure I will be coming back.
H. A.
Brilliant food but over priced. You cannot have a meal without buying vegetables or salad. The house salad was 3 slices of tomato little bit of cucumber, with a few leaves on the top would not charge more than 60p max. I was shocked when they charged £3.50 what planet are they on!
X. C.
Lovely place with great, friendly service. A nice menu with a selection of tasty French-inspired dishes. The menu is regularly updated. I recommend dining upstairs where it's quieter.
T. P.
Food is always of a high standard
A. B.
I found my visit to pierre exceptional. The staff were outstanding and the food was spectacular. The place and staff has a lovely warm and homely feel. I ordered my food at 1:15 and it was cooked to perfection at 1:30. I would definetely recommend this luxurious restaurant for people of all ages. Please visit because you will have a great time
R. S.
Beautiful food, beautiful layout BUT what a rip off, very disappointed with how our billing came!! We had paid our deposit, then left to pay a small balance off, drinks were paid separate from the bill and omydays double checked everything and everyone paid according to their meal and tips and still said that wasn't enough, I still believe they
Over charged us. Ridiculous, if anyone wants to go make sure you pay for the meals up front in full and then just have your drink bill.
D. K.
First class food even though they are a chain standards are pretty good. This was our second time having the prix fixe lunch which we have now decided is slightly better value than côte brasseries set lunch.
P. G. B.
Not been for a while. Missed this place. Changed quite a bit inside they now have very nice first floor seating too. Still plenty of choice. Superb quality, a feast for the tastebuds. Excellent service and as usual incredible value.
G. C.
Been here a few times. Food quality is excellent but portions are small for the price. Nice staff and clean establishment.
S. H.
Great staff and lovely food. Overall very good value and a great atmosphere for an enjoyable meal.
M. W.
Friendly staff and lovely food.
M. C.
Great atmosphere, as usual, great food, as usual. All staff very attentive and friendly, even wished my wife happy 60th birthday. Can't remember when we first came here, but still enjoy food, atmosphere, time after time, after time. Cannot wait for the next visit.
J. B.
Excellent lunchtime menu. Very busy place, they were queuing to come in when we left! However we didn't feel rushed. It was awkward getting out carrying big coats as the tables are crammed in.
L. W.
Usually busy yet friendly atmosphere. Good service, attentive staff, excellent food. Definitely not over priced. Thoroughly recommended as an alternative to Café Rouge. In this reviewers opinion, tastier food than the aforementioned also !
W. R.
The navarin of lamb was delicious.
Fairly quick service in a wonderful setting.
The menu is great for gluten-free people with many options and the food is usually top notch.
The dauphinoise potatoes were like warm but since I can't give 4.5 stars it gets 5 because my last visit was excellent too.
It's just a shame they don't have more branches in the south and east of the UK.
L. W.
Every time time I eat at Bistro Pierre I always ask myself why I bother going to so called 'good' restaurants or gourmet pubs which are invariably disappointing, overpriced and which serve stingy portions.
I've never been disappointed at Bistro Pierre and don't return home needing a sandwich! On the special menu three courses come in at £14.95 and there is a great selection within each course which again is more than can be said for most 'special' menus.
Yesterday both me and my husband enjoyed three delicious courses, complete with bread AND vegetables and could not believe the quality of the food and the service.
We intend to return again soon to enjoy the steak evening where you can enjoy fillet steak including a sauce (and a dessert) for £20. It's not unusual to pay around £25-£30 for fillet steak in most eateries and a sauce can cost £3 extra.
I'm well aware that it''s not all about the cost but I really do think the a lot of places are taking diners for a ride whereas Bistro Pierre is getting it right on every front.
J. F.
First visit yesterday with my partner. Friendly helpful staff and Dom was very helpful. Plenty of vegetarian options. Food arrived quickly and hot. Definitely going back
E.
Awesome service and very affordable food. Go for the early bird pre theatre <7 2 course for £15 for a bargain (I had deep fried goats cheese and chutney with rump steak and chips). Great value...BUT although you get more than you pay for you will not get the quality you may get in high end restaurants.
R. M. U.
Very busy little place shame it’s not in the market square.
Food wasn’t bad, felt prices a little high.
Dirty glasses and when asked for new was brought more dirty glasses. After dishwashers just finish them off with clean cloth.
When we approached at the end to mention the glasses they said we know the dishwasher is out of chemical !
J. F.
Lovely lunch today at Bistro Pierre , food and service were excellent . It has been missed . Thank you .
P. S.
Lovely food, nice atmosphere. Had to wait for around 20 mins at the door even though we had a table booked.
C. B.
Visited my son at uni and decided to take him here.Very nice meal. Good service. Thanks Titus and Seb. Would recommend booking first as is popular. Will definitely go again.
M. C.
I took my daughter to the cinema and picked somewhere at random to eat. Bistrot Pierre was extremely busy, but the maître d' was fantastic in making sure he could find space for us and keeping us up to date with when we could get in.
The service was impeccable. Our waiter, Sébastien, was an absolute star, sneakily filling up our Christmas cracker water pistols for us to play with (and turning up with another two on a silver platter as we were leaving!).
The food was excellently done, with the steak bleu/ à point, as requested, and my favourite, crème brûlée. All in all, we had a fantastic time, and it was down to the Bistrot Pierre team who made it a brilliant evening.
T. S.
Took a friend her first time she really enjoyed the food wine and service as did I as usual. Only one criticism not much space as if they have crammed in to many tables
C. C.
Fantastic night on Friday 14th July 2017 to celebrate Bastille day.
Delightful menu, and superb food. Atmosphere wonderful, and staff very attentive, without being 'in your face'.
A very enjoyable 2.5 hours spent in one of our favourite Nottingham restaurants.
C. C.
Been a few times and thr ambience id great and the food is also really nice. Service can sometimes be a bit slow but its ok. Only issue this time was they got our steak preference mixed up.
J. H.
The food is lovely and was served very quickly. Staff are friendly
A. B.
Great meal here once again. Great service from the staff. One of them even gave me some warm honey for a cough I had!
J. “. M.
prompt and friendly service. lovely food and an authentic French feel. 5/5
E. H.
Bastille Day great food & service. We will certainly visit this Notthingham branch when we next visit from Plymouth.
P. J.
It wasn't anything sparkling, yet was expensive. I didn't eat all my food and didn't have a desert. Wouldn't say it was value for money
W. R. (.
Really great bistrot. It's a big restaurant now after expanding upstairs. The menu is typically French, reasonably priced and decent portions. I recommend the special menu they run twice per month on a Tuesday!
V. W.
Food was lovely, we had a vegetable tagine and a vegetable tartlet and shared a rich brownie for dessert. Only downside was that prams can only go next to tables upstairs but there is no lift. They did help us carry the pram upstairs.
J. J.
My first time visiting this lovely restaurant in the centre of Nottingham. It was a Sunday evening and very busy, but we had booked in advance, despite how busy it was, we had excellent service from the friendly and efficient staff, and the food was excellent, we will be back!
E. M.
The food and service were amazing, ref Covid there were lots of spaces and glass screens separating the tables and just a lovely atmosphere x
J. c. B.
Lovely food. Staff really nice. Had the 2 courses for £11. 95 lunch menu. Was very busy so I advise to book in advance.
I. E.
Must be one of the best resteraunts I have visited. Cleanliness, food, service and atmospheres is excellent.
Will be back
C. L.
Lovely family meal out
K. H.
Excellent food and service but can be very busy and noisy. That gives a great atmosphere for groups but can be a little obtrusive if you want a quiet meal.
N. S.
Lovely place. Great food. Our waiter Seb was delightful and French. It's a favourite. The only negative was the piped music. Distinctly un French!
J. B.
Kidderminster restaurant very nice food good but service is painfully slow that's just for coffee. Manager need to take more interest what's going on. COSTA would have served far more people in 30min. Staff are nice but painfully slow. We meet friends for coffee and light morning snacks, it takes forever for food to arrive. have to keep asking staff to collect food from kitchen. It's slowly getting a reputation in the town for Slow service just for coffee.
L. B.
Had an amazing lunch at Bistro Pierre in Nottingham, fantastic food, great prices, felt very safe post Covid and the waiter Titus was amazing, will definitely be going back again!
G. C.
We have been there for lunch a few times now. Every time the food and experience was spot on. It is perhaps on the pricey side but the food is always gorgeous. It is also very busy so be prepared to queue for a table, but it should be worth the wait. We will go again.
T. H.
Brilliant food and fantastic service! We had fixed three course menu which was only £13.95 and the food was really tasty. We will definitely be back!
L. W.
The food is wonderful on a good day
I've eaten here lots of times (so it can't be too bad) and it varies from brilliant to sending food back and getting money taken off the bill.
J. H.
Food is awesome, it is very authentic and high quality French. Their 2017 Christmas menu rocked. Check it out and take your spouse with you, it is going to be a gastronomic feast.
C. S.
Normally excellent unfortunately on the last visit my main course had missing elements
Staff only enquired how the food was when we had finished the mains. To the managers credit my main course was removed from the final bill. We will be back.
M. W.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Friendly service. Look forward to going back again.
J. W.
It was really good to be with friends forlunchtime meal well spaced out and lovely food.Been going there for some time as a meet up with friends.
P. D.
Loved the food so much here many years ago had my wedding Reception meal, Staff only discovered was a wedding when we arrived.
The quality, service, standard of food here is the best in Nottingham.
P. K.
We had a nice lunch here, food was delicious, served very fast, welcoming and friendly staff. Thank you very much
G. H.
Service was good and we tipped the server but we went as a group of 8 for the Early Sunday, Monday set menu and some of the food wasn't very warm. Vegetables and one course was changed twice.
C. M.
Wonderful food, great atmosphere, and well catered to the coeliac member of our group. The Diner et Vin was really tasty and the wines were all good.
J. A.
Reasonably priced delicious food. Service was a little slow but staff were very friendly.
W. T.
Had the chicken with green pesto, red peppers and olives , was really tasty but was quite dry could have done with a sauce of some kind . Staff brilliant would eat there again
M. S.
Nice warm decor but average food. Also our dishes were not served at the same time and the waiter was wearing jeans and trainers :-(
A. G.
Enjoyed it,I would definitely return
E. M. H.
Great atmosphere. Excellent service. Wide choice of meals to satisfy all tastes. Wide selection of wines. Light bites to substantial meals.
k. w.
This was a lovely place, the staff was polite and made us feel very welcome, the steak was cooked to perfection, all round 5 star.
E. H.
Lovely food, great service and good atmosphere. Good value for money too.

We came to Pierre bistrot to celebrate my daughter Victoria graduating from Nottingham trent university with first class honours, a very proud moment for our family to celebrate with fine French cuisine and champagne to celebrate, can't wait to return:-)
H. S.
We visited this restaurant for our Anniversary and we were not disappointed the food was beautiful. One of the best meals we have had, would strongly recommend. Incredible creme brulee!
J. H.
Atmospheric bistro with freshly prepared and delicious food. We had the 2 course menu option and it was good value for money.
A. J.
Excellent service, beautiful food and fast delivery of said food. Great night out and makes for a special date
M. L.
Had a meal there last night with my partner for her birthday. The service and the food where exceptional. This was the first time we have ever been., but not the last. See you again soon.

The Le Bistro Pierre has been our favorite Restaurant since it opened in 1994.
It has never let us down.
We celebrated our Wedding Anniversary there this week.

Great service, nice food but dmall portions
J. T.
Fantastic food for the most part at a good price. I had the Thai fish cakes and they were amazing, great balance of spice and citrus and would really reccomend.

C. G.
Busy, happy environment. Great staff and tasty food.
A. B.
Sometimes great other times disappointing. Saturday lunch was crowded and the limited menu was hit and miss. Lamb shank unavailable and pork was dry and overcooked. Service consistently good
S. A. R.
Had brie starter and the fish stew for main - was soooooo nice. Pudding was good to. Nice atmosphere and lots of choice for my GF friends :)
T. N.
As always the food was fantastic....... But the service was so slow had to wait over half an hour just to order drinks!! James are waiter seemed innaffective in an extremely busy service....... Only saved by the hard work of lorret who seemed to hold it all together..... Dissapointed patrons of over 18 yrs.
A. W.
Great food , great staff had a really nice evening
R. A.
1st time and quite impressed
A. D.
Dined here recently, the food was outstanding and the service impeccable. Highly recommend.

G. S.
On the whole a good place, excellent service and staff. Good food, not cheap but happy to spend some time here.

Lovely place, friendly staff, tasty food. What more can I say? Only lost a star because husband's steak was a bit grissely, mine was fab
M. C.
Amazing food and brilliant service as always
P. F.
Good value meal on fixed price menu especially if you eat before 6pm.(I think)
C. W.
I have eaten at this restaurant several times and without exception the food, wine and service have all been excellent. I highly recommend it.
P. m.
The food here is brilliant and very well presented.
We had Three courses of high quality food snd good wine.
J. C.
Food was good, staff helpful and friendly, thought it might have a little bit more french cuisine on the menu, the tables was a little to close together, so not much privacy.
E. P.
Great portions, superb food and lovely service. House wine was great too. Not unreasonable prices. Highly recommended
M. C.
I liked the ambience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great. Slightly disorganised but we still enjoyed it.
J. D.
Great food, and lovely french bread with real butter. The service is great. Well done. However, i find the tables to cramped.
Y. W.
Very nice place to eat, very friendly staff who are helpful and the food was brilliant.

At the menu in front of the entrance it says that 1, 2 or 3-course dinners are available at certain prices, however, once I got in and sat down, I could only choose from menu at standard much higher prices. The food and service was good, though.

Lunch on Friday - went for the Baked Marcellin to start, nice and light, followed by the Lapin a la Moutarde, excellent! Would have liked rice to be included as an accompaniment to mop up the sauce.
My wife enjoyed both the Salade de Betterave et Chevre and the Filet de Haddock but was disappointed with the potato accompaniment that were overdone
Very good value, next stop Cardiff!

First rate food. Steak was absolute perfection. Service left a bit to be desired - however it was in the busy pre-christmas period!

We had literally 40 mins before the concert to get some food and drinks. Salmon was delicious! Great service!

Very nice - enjoyed the lunch time set menu. Went with a party of 8 and all enjoyed the food also very good with the children.

Really good food and efficient service. You do have to be organised ie when booking remember to leave a deposit and pre-booked you're food but well worth it.

Service very good and food excellent. Only drawback is that the tables are incredibly close together - our table for 2 felt like we were on a table for 6...

Food was really tasty (in fact excellent), Would have been 5 stars but felt that the service was a bit rushed, and a small table for the 9 of us to fit on.

Delicious food on a very reasonably priced lunch menu. Lots of choice on the set menu and great options for coeliacs who need gluten free food.

Great food, fab service. I had Burger & Fries, my +1 had Steak & Fries. The fries were cooked perfectly and were piping hot.

Reasonable inexpensive menu which is always consistent - You know what you are going to get! Can get very busy at lunch time because they don't take reservations.

The duck was great. The afternoon tea was disappointing. Scones hard as rocks and bad attempt to the mille feuille.
