Emilio's is always a lovely place to have dinner and fun. Food is excellent and the service is friendly. But the fun does not end, you have the dance floor and music later to have a good dance plus some tradicional dancing while you are finishing your dinner.

well run family restaurant Apart from a huge wedding anniversary party clashing with ours and celebrating in the same space,( which is why I didn't give 5 stars as we felt a little hemmed in, which was more un comfortable because it was a very warm afternoon ) there's an amazing friendly welcoming atmosphere. Gr8 and attentive staff personalities Gr8 food with real adult sized plates and portions and fantastic value for money. Overall a well organized and put together staff team. well done 🙌🏾👍🏾

An absolutely amazing night out. I took my Mum for her birthday as I'd seen there was velly dancing. The service is great, very attentive. Food was lovely, the belly dancer a young girl was brilliant. Such a big smile and had us all captivated. That's when the evening really starts, they have their own dj and dance floor. Everyone was up dancing and having a the vest time. The owner booked us a taxi which didn't turn up so he drove us home. 😲 Couldn't believe his kindness and can't thank him enough. If I could give it more than 5 I would. The food was amazing the mains of salmon sent you to heaven . The decor beautiful staff so attentive and polite . Entertainment of belly dancing and zorbas plus disco till the end of the night kept young and old happy. And value for money out of this world my 3 course cost under 25 pounds. If you want an excellent night in plus birthday cake for each of the 3 birthday people that night this is definately a must. Thanks to everyone for a brilliant night.

Had a great time for my friend Carols birthday. Myself and several Get Fit Nottingham walkers were invited. The food didn't seem very authentic in my limited experience of Greek food. It was more like a pub lamb shank than Greek stifado which I chose from the menu wanting an authentic experience. The entrainment is very good. The dancers are skilled at getting everyone in the mood for dancing and the DJ knows what will get people up on the dance floor. It is professionally run and an excellent choice for special birthdays. I'd say it is a fun night out for all ages. Cost was £22 for a small calamari starter and the Greek lamb shank. Drink prices were reasonable. Staff were polite and friendly. Table service was efficient and friendly as well. Maybe the restaurant is catering to the tastes of their clientele when it comes to more British versions of Greek dishes but I couldn't fault the entertainment afterwards. Toilets are small (only one sink and a weak hand drier) but clean.

I'll be honest I wasn't expecting much when the wife booked this place for a midweek treat however how wrong I was! We had such a good night, the food was amazing and boy was it value for money! We ordered the seafood mezze sharer and the food just kept on coming! The staff were super friendly and helpful, and kept the drinks flowing. Would definitely recommend you give this place a go.

Absolutely fantastic. Emilio greeted his guesta with a warm handshake and introduced himself and asked us all our names. He came over on numerous occasions just to check we were OK. The food was amazing I had 3 starters because I couldn't decide lol. The main meal was a continuous explosion of flavors. The tirimisu was also delicious. high quality dishes made with fresh ingredients consistently. the size of the menu gives more options than i could ever try all of. Bar has a very good selection and reasonable prices. The service is always friendly and personal, they go out of their way to make the experience great, be it a weekday meal with family or a birthday celebration. We have made this a regular choice for a relaxed evening outing.

I like the restaurant, the food and how we was served by the waiter! Overall, is a nice chilled restaurant. I never been on the fridays, to assist on a live night, but definitely is in my plan! The place is dated, but the food and entertainment are worth it. Lots of veggie choices. Had a problem with the timing of meals when some at our table ordered starters and mains and others from the mezze. We ended up all getting our food at different times which kind of defeats the point of going out to eat as a group. There are steep stairs leading up to the restaurant which are difficult for anyone with mobility issues. I'd love to go back but I don't think I could climb the stairs!

Wow wow wow. Amazing food and incredible service from emilio himself. We went on Friday with the family and couldn't fault it. We had the special meze with the most fantastic huge prawns and mussels. They had 4 different parties but the service was still fast and friendly. The entertainment was great with a really engaging and talented belly dancer and then the option to join in aswell. My nan even said it was the best Greek food she's had in years!!!

On Holiday from Canada to see my parents and they took us to Emilio's Greek Restaurant. Wow! The atmosphere, the food and the Ouzo was just wow! Emilio is an amazing host and such a character. It was lovely to hear some of his stories. Started the meal with stuffed mushroom and let me tell you, mushrooms have never tasted so good. Main was the Kleftiko... The Lamb was cooked perfectly. Falling off the bone. The gravy that accompanied the Lamb was delicious and really tied everything together. Last was the best Lemon Cheesecake I've ever had. If you want more detail, then go try it for yourselves. For those of you that like Spirits, Emilio has you covered with a huge selection, some very special bottles of Crown Royal (Canadian Rye) this is the only place I've found this Rye outside of Canada and I've been all over the world.

My mother ordered moussaka and it had no bechamel sauce. It dish came with carrots and green beans both of which were not al dente but raw. My brother ordered dolma and the vine leaves were chewy and the meat rice stuffing was dry and tasteless. All in all we had the impression that the food wasn't fresh. Having said all that Emilio was a great host and was very kind.

We visit this beautiful little gem of a restaurant who has the most inviting cosy atmosphere, fantastic home style cooked food, I nearly always go for the meatballs, they are the best I have ever had. The owner is such a delightful loveable man that makes you feel so genuinely welcome and really appreciated his customers. This is how a restaurant should be, we will coming again very soon, oh and the beer is amazing, best pint of Coors ever!! Highly recommended.

Its average. On the whole the meze was good. Desert baklava was rubbish, tiny slice frozen in the middle for £6. Really let down by the bad service, there was a large party that were getting all the attention, but at the end there was more staff than customers and being ignored for 30 mins after asking for the the bill takes the mick. No need for facemasks or track and trace. Will give it another go though one day.

From the outside it doesn't look much, essentially a doorway leading to a staircase. Climb the stairs and the place reveals itself to be a large room, lots of tables and chairs, and an area for music and dancing at the weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. My starter arrived quickly and was enjoyable, but my main was a little disappointing. I'd have ordered lamb kleftiko as it is one of my favourites, and although the presentation was good it was a little bland, lacking a little flavour. Having said that the meat was well cooked and melted in my mouth. All in all it was a decent meal that could just have done with a touch more seasoning perhaps.

Incredible people, excellent food. I went with my father who can't eat dairy or wheat, my vegetarian brother, and my grandma who "doesn't like Greek food" We are not an easy family to feed, but we all had good choices and were all very happy with our food, and our drinks. As with all visits to Emilios the thing that we all remember is having a great time with each other and with the lovely people who talked us through our options and patiently let my parents practice the Greek they'd learned on holiday. The perfect balance of friendly without interferring. They made a special desert for my awkward father with laughter and pride. They know that their personalities are what keep people returning, but they still take pride in offering great food. This is everything a restaurant should be.

This is an amazing place to dine. Your table is yours for the evening and the entertainment at the weekend is amazing. Learn how to dance Greek style, there's disco dancing and sometimes even a belly dancer. The food and ambience is second to none. Yammas!
