Nice place to eat and loved the food. However they didn't have straws for fizzy drinks. Also a few of the salad bowls were dirty.

Service here is terrible! Left standing by the door for 10 minutes whilst waitresses walked past without even acknowledging us, so started our meal off in a bad mood and they don't listen to what customers are actually saying, we asked for a certain drink she said she'd better check what flavours there were and came back saying sorry this is all we have...the one we asked for, wow! Thought listening was a basic waitressing skill? Food was really nice although the kids desserts came with different toppings from what the menu offered. Just really lacking in the hospitality section, last time we visited we were left waiting by the door then the waitress pointed out a table and threw the menus on it, she ran off before saying anything, we waited over 15mins for her to come back to take a drinks order but decided the service was so bad we left. We watched her treat 2 other sets of customers the same way, they were really quiet before we arrived too, just no need for rudeness.

Hi we visited this harvester branch yesterday evening when two girls were working. Charlotte gave us a very warm welcome and let us sit wherever we wanted as it was quite quiet. She was friendly and helpfully told us about the evening menu which we took advantage of the cheaper price for two course deal. The food came out very quick and the whole experience was made to feel easy and pleasant throughout. Thank you for the great meal.

Myself and my husband came to this Harvester venue on Sunday. they seemed extremely busy. Charlotte seated us and served us. she was very communicative about the wait time and what was going on behind the scenes which was fantastic and made us feel better about waiting a little longer than usual. The salad bar was great for tiding us over while we waited - very fresh and regularly monitored it seemed.

Very good service and food! 2 girls on and although both seemed friendly our waitress Lucy was fantastic and nothing was to much trouble! My son is a fussy eater and usually we have to send food back at other restaurants but it came spot on here! Seems like you have very good staff here

Went today with my family, and what an amazing place. The staff (one lady was a trainee, and the other has only been there 4 weeks) both were fantastic. Polite, chatty, friendly. The food was spot on. Cooked to perfection. Clean and tidy. Highly recommend.

Food was good; tasty and not over-cooked. Salad bar excellent as per usual. We were served by 2 different waitresses. One (the more senior from her badge) was disinterested and listless - not welcoming at all. Not bad enough to complain about but easily enough to lose a star from above (if not 2!) The other young lady was as different again. Warm, friendly and helpful. It is because of her efforts that only 1 star went.

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Harvester on Friday. Came in with my partner for the first time in quite a while. The food was great for the price; it is clearly good quality compared to similar venues. We received fab service from a young waitress with blond hair. She was always attentive and chatting to her about our dogs and our family plans for Christmas made us feel very welcome and at ease. We will be returning!

It's much quieter than derby so generally easier to get a table. Sadly they don't do olives unlike derby! Also no raisins the last few times I have been. Food generally good, has been slow the last time we went as it was a new chef but was presentable. A little over crispy on the chicken and ribs though!

Came here for a Sunday lunch with our 2 children. It was very busy so expected to be waiting a long time for our food but was surprised to be served our dinner within 30 minutes of walking through the door. Service was great and food delicious although the bunch of chavs at a nearby table were finding anything to moan about. These were dealt with calmly and professionally by Katie who I think was the manager. Will be back soon but probably during the week when less busy.

After being let down by the accompanying leaf salad to my steak that was as "fresh" as the packaged stuff from the local Sainsbury's, i was left satisfied by the nicely done meat and chips. The Rocky Horror sundae was to die for, despite the vanilla ice cream not being listed in the description. The cutlery was nice and clean, and so was the staff who were friendly and approachable and more than happy to help. Overall a good experience and I'm happy to recommend this restaurant.

Really good service. Great value for money Friendly staff. Variety of food on the kids menu as well as the adults offer a smaller kids option for little children. Colouring packs are always helpful too! Staff always happy to help and remember our order and always make an effort to speak to you and check how your meal is! Will continue to keep coming as it’s only getting better over the years. Salad bar always has variety of different things and they often introduce new things for a change! Would like to say as well Terri is brilliant and has always been so helpful over the years and makes a fuss of our children!

Very understaffed but food was great as always, the young man waiting tables was very polite and kept his cool while he was obviously under a bit of pressure. One major complaint, grated carrot and olives taken off the salad bar for some strange reason!!! Please can we have them back!

A great place to recover after shopping. The staff are super friendly, and food quality matches the prices. Very accommodating of our baby twins, and offered to clean up the horrendous mess they made (which I obviously couldn't accept). Place is clean enough, though not spotless, and the drinks menu is limited if you're a draft beer or lager person, though there's quite a few bottles to choose from. Happily recommend.

We visited this Harvester for a 97 year olds birthday, the staff we're really friendly and even sang her happy birthday when they brought her cake out. The sparkler on the cake was an extra bonus! Food was really good too and nice decor throughout.

Nice venue and good location with parking. Friendly and efficient staff in a well spaced environment. Good selection on the menu. Steak and chicken, burgers etc, with veggie & gluton free options. Nice salad bar to start and bottomless soft drinks. Reasonable prices and usually have offers of some kind. Very happy.

Staff are friendly atmosphere is lovely. Food is moderate. The bigger meaterier meals are worth it but the standard meals I wouldn't rate. They used to have a larger salad bar this has reduced and isn't as good as it used to be. The breakfast are ok. But some of the food you can tell has been frozen.

This harvester was fairly busy yesterday evening (around 7) with one girl seemingly running the whole shift on her own! It looked like there was a manager around but she wasn’t helping with the tables very much. The kitchen were probably short staffed too because the salad bar didn’t get topped up very often. I am giving 5 stars because in spite of that the food was well presented and very tasty when it came out. The waitress explained why there had been a delay and was very apologetic. It turned out she studies English at uni which is what I studied many years ago so we had plenty to chat about. Well done to her for keeping on her toes on what was a busy evening.

I went with my family during quite a busy time and the salad bar was quite sad looking as a result. The main food arrived in good time and was of a good quality. I encountered my first baby food heating hurdle here. I usually take a small Tupperware box with some food in and staff in other restaurants have been happy to take it to the kitchen to heat for me. Not so here. They will only take a glass jar, apparently. However, my server did provide an alternative. He brought a huge serving dish (like they serve the salads in at the bar) of hot water and put it on a different table (H&S reasons) and I eventually got the food to a good temperature.

I cant believe how quiet this restaurant was for 7.00pm on a Saturday night. Only about 6 tables occupied. Our waitress was good and the food exactly as expected. Maybe the reason is that the building has next to no character, and does not seem in keeping with the usual harvester branding.

Good and polite staff. food was fine they have a refill soda,coke,fanta etc and also salad bar which you can go up as many times as you like. The toilets are up stairs but I can honestly say I don't know if there was a disabled toilet down stairs which you should check before hand but entrance and car parking is and there's plenty of car parking spaces would recommend pretty cheap and cheerful. Great for big families ot big gatherings.

Best baby bag ribs. Needs more bbq sauce to complete the flavor. I bought the standard rack of ribs. It seems the large rack of ribs are always sold out and the one kilo ribs is not so worth it because the meat is seemingly harder or maybe it was a different chef on that day. I went to this place in 2 consecutive days. Apparently the crew is different. The salad bar is a big joke. The coleslaw vegetables are so hard. No wonder its a freebie.

Mixed feelings unfortunately. We were there using a Groupon voucher which had limited choice from the menu. However, we were told the restaurant had been really busy during the day and had run out of most food - it was easier to tell us what they had left rather than what they had run out of, which reduced the choices even further. Because of this we were able to choose something other than the Groupon voucher would allow which was good of them. The service was nice and efficient, and the food came out quickly. Although we were disappointed initially with the shortage of choices, when the food came it was delicious - some of the best, meatiest, tastiest ribs I've had in a long time and the rotisserie chicken was amazing too. So the well cooked quality food redeemed the evening! We would normally go the Harvester in Derby, which in my opinion is a better venue but was closed for refurb during the Groupon voucher period. We would probably not go the Castle Marina one again, but only because it is further for us to travel. The food was outstanding for the price though!

Charlotte (a lovely blonde waitress) chatted to us and made us feel so comfortable - we didn't feel it was just a sales pitch at all. We adore this restaurant and its staff! ❤️ Since going vegetarian 18 months ago, I have always gone for the pasta options as they were safe because I know I like it. But after asking one of the lovely staff members what they would recommend instead of pasta, they suggested the halloumi with chips, tartar sauce and mushy peas. I haven't looked back since!! Every time we visit Harvester I'm a little more adventurous with food, but halloumi has to be my favourite. They have a good selection of meat, veggie options and children's choices too. Great value for money.
