What a lovely classy restaurant.Loved the ambience and the service is impeccable. For starters ordered papdi tiki Chaat ... absolutely delicious and for drinks ordered a mango lassi and I can say it's the best mango lassi I tasted in a while. For mains ordered matar paneer and roti.Matar paneer had hint of Chaat masala but worked perfect for my taste buds. Highly recommend this place.

A superb restaurant in every detail. Food is remarkable service is immaculate…the aziz family have worked wonders to produce the finest eatery and most pleasant restaurant in the area .. the cake was delicious delicious and delightfully light … 😘

We had a marvelous meal here. Great food and really friendly staff made us feel well atteneded. First time trying Goat curry and we both truly enjoyed it.

Absolutely amazing service and delicious food. Good sized portions and presentation. Best veg samosas I've ever had. Great vegan options. Despite us getting there late, they still offered and gave us desert, even though they were closing in less than 10 minutes. Also offered parking right outside the restaurant. Can't say enough good things about experience there.

Friends and I found this restaurant by chance when staying nearby this week. What a treat. First impression - immaculate white table cloths, sparkling wine glasses, healthy plants. 2nd impression - friendly, professional staff, who added to the sense of calm and orderliness. 3rd impression - the food was excellent. The attention to detail was excellent. We loved it.

Beautiful place, delicious food, clean stuff, and friendly staff. I recommend you try vegetable samosa and mix grilled chicken. But the menu price is a bit expensive compared to other Indian restaurants :)

It was my 1st time going there.
It was a beautiful experience..
Staff was polite.
Great atmosphere and food was beautiful.

The food here is brilliant. I have visited here before and had a similarly good experience. Locals advised me this was the place to go for good quality Indian food. I stayed at the hotel opposite and it is really handy. Recommended

Good menu.. great food... great service! Seems authentic to me...I really enjoyed my meal. Service was very friendly and pleasant..with the restaurant being very clean and comfortable. I hope I can return soon!

Wonderful restaurant. Every aspect from the food, drinks, service to the decor is all spot on. The staff work hard to ensure an enjoyable dining experience, and they succeed. Have enjoyed numerous meals at Masala Junction, including takeouts and it always impresses.

Our first experience today and definately will not be our last.food was amazing staff were very welcoming and shared advice on dishes. It was also nice that there was not music in the background just all the noise of general chit chat of the customers. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF FOOD WAS AMAZING.

The food way lovely, as always, and the service was just as good as every other time that we have come. I couldn't ask for anything better. I am very pleased with the service and I will definitely recommend it to my friends.
S. E.
My taste buds have never had anything less than a massive party here. The veg samosa is a festival of flavours and has to be tasted to be believed. A friend from overseas insists on it when visiting Nottingham. Max yum and friendly service always.

Had a lovely evening here for dinner with my wife 'eating out to help out'. She loved the goat curry and the scallops to start, I enjoyed the chicken jalfrazi. Prices a tad to expensive even with the discount, but the restaurant has a refined atmosphere which is appealing. Agree with other reviewers, you shouldn't automatically add a service charge (especially for a group of 2), and leave tipping down to discretion.

Venue has a really great atmosphere. There is a good range of dishes offered on the menu and food is good value for money. It is slightly more expensive than other restaurants, but this is reflected in the quality. The food was served and presented really nicely and was very tasty and filling. Would definitely recommend to others and return in the future.
D. T.
Excellent food and service. Staff attentive and the best quality Indian food that I've ever had. Highly recommend.
A. B.
Good friends & a great meal in splendid surroundings, perfect night out.
The meal was fantastic, different spices & sauces tasted; served by efficient & friendly staff.
Not the cheapest - but not the most expensive either.
All in all, if you fancy trying something different from what other Indian restaurants offer, then stop off at this Junction for a meal to remember.

Loved the food. Chef understood how I want my vegetarian food to taste like. Best Indian restaurant so far I have been to in Nottingham. A must visit, if you want to taste real Indian food.
S. E.
The best Indian resteraunt I've ever been to, 5 star service from start to finish! The food was incredible, the presentation beautiful and the lamb melt in your mouth.. generous portion sizes too. Definitely worth the money, there was a service charge on the bill but we tipped even further , loved every minute thank you!
J. C.
Some of the best iIndian food in Nottingham, indeed in the country. really imaginative well cooked appetisers and some wonderful curries, for example the goat curry and fish curry. Wonderful people and exceptionally friendly staff. A firm favourite of ours.
H. B.
Fantastic, friendly, professional service!
Thank you for a lovely evening celebrating a birthday evening, making us feel welcome with our baby.
Food was delicious and everyone enjoyed

This place was a real treat. The service was superb and the food delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed a get together with friends at this wonderful restaurant. We will be returning!

Really nice attentive staff, lovely atmosphere and the owner made sure he talked to you.
We ordered a starter, a side a rice and two mains with a bottle (£75) which we felt was a little expensive for the quality we got. The food was served quickly, was hot and was obviously made from scratch. However, it was good not great. Probably wont come here again just because I feel there are better restaurants.

First visit here, very nice clean decor ect .
Friendly staff.
Very nice starter mix grill plate, lovely lamb chop soft an tasty, nice big piece of chicken an good lamb kabab mmm.

Bit pricey for what food is
T. S.
Not the cheapest restaurant I've been too but an excellent quality of food with a lovely ambiance to the place.
S. R.
Top quality food, excellent service and a nice ambience. This is my favourite Indian restaurant in Nottingham and often eat here.

Visited 4 times now- excellent every time- lovely welcome, supremely clean , wine list good enough , food and service outstanding.
J. D.
Incredible food as ever and super relaxed but attentive service. A firm favourite.
C. S.
Amazingly tasty food with great service and a lovely warm atmosphere. The starters are so good!
K.
Don't be distracted, by the external appearances of this restaurant. The internal decor and setting is very impressive and not the normal Indian. The food is extremely tasty with the spicing to a T.
The presentation of the food is amazing. The scoples for the starter, is something different for a Indian cuisine. Brilliant staff and great services. Food is a bit pricie, so would, recommend for a special event/ celebration. But will be visiting again.

The first time we dined here, the dishes were exceptional. We had the Goan fish curry and Kashmiri chicken korma, both were spectacular. We can see why it's one of the top rated Indian restaurants in Nottingham.
We had wanted to go back for quite a while and when we finally did, the second time didn’t quite match our first experience sadly.
We ordered a prawn biryani and when it came, although it looked great, the odour was somewhat pungent.
Not wanting to seem ignorant or rude, I decided that maybe my palette just wasn’t accustomed and I lacked familiarity with an authentic biryani.
I do not usually like complaining, and not wanting to be fussy over smells, I gladly accepted my plate. Having gotten past this, I still enjoyed my meal to an extent.
Though sad to say, I believe my initial assumptions may have been true after all, having had to go to the toilet twice the next morning, even after going the night before.
I have no previous history of IBS or any other stomach issues, and as there were no other possible culprits, I’ve assumed that possibly the rice that was used may have been too old.
I’m aware that it is a common and (generally) safe practise for businesses to use precooked rice, but perhaps this particular batch was left a bit too long.
I still could be totally wrong, or it might have been a different ingredient entirely! Perhaps I will try my luck again one day and score a more positive result.
In summary, I won’t let one upset stomach sully my opinions so I am still happy to give 4 stars, but just maybe, be a bit wary of the biryani.
TLDR: It's great and worth going to, but not so sure about the biryani.
J. L.
Great atmosphere, very good food and kind staff, slightly but on the expensive side, but good night out.
J. S.
Excellent quality , interesting food, I would have given it 5 stars, but the mains (curries) came out, cold.
The manager was happy to get us a warm replacement and apologised profusely, due to being so busy, (which in its self is a good sign).
C.
Without a doubt, the best Indian in Nottingham. I would go here every weekend If I had the chance!!
The food is delicious and the service is wonderful!
We came with a little one so a big Thank you to the team for being so accommodating.
B. W.
This is a really really good curry and has been for a number of years quite consistently.
B. P.
Very taste food. A Little bit to expensive but worth it
J. H.
We love Masala Junction. A little embarrassed to say how frequently we’ve had takeaway from here recently and it never disappoints. The quality it outstanding and worth the price.
We tried the vegetarian and vegan dishes first, ordering quite unusual things (for us) and I was so pleased we did - they were so different to anything we’d previously had and I didn’t miss the meat at all as there was so much flavour.
The service is impeccable and all of the staff are extremely polite.
We’ll definitely be coming back and can’t wait to come in again in person when we can!
V. R.
As we travel to different places in the UK, restaurants that serve good Indian food seem to simply find us. Masala Junction in Nottingham is wonderful and we had our dinners there on both the days of our stay in the city. As vegetarians who can't process paneer, we had to choose vegan options only. Although the menu may seem to have very few vegan/ vegetarian options, the staff /chefs are very flexible with the dishes and will make a vegetarian version of a chicken gravy dish for you, upon request. This way, you can taste different types of gravies/ curries without eating the meat!
I. R.
Superb food served quickly by very helpful staff. Would certainly recommend to anyone
k. f.
Very stylish add a touch of heat to your normal dishes flavours amazing
K. R.
The best Indian restaurant in Notts, with the most delicious samosas!
M. M.
The best curry in notts? Possibly. Great food, amazing service.
J.
We waited so long to, once again, enjoy the delicious food at MJ and despite the grim weather, we were not disappointed! Was it the absence of eating in a restaurant for so long? Or has the food got even better? Food, drinks, service and ambience all achieved the full 5 stars! Thank you so much to all the staff for such an amazing evening... Highly recommend this restaurant for a fabulous fine dining experience at reasonable prices 😋
L.
Long overdue review! I found the staff, especially the manager to be excellent. Food was good, with a nice variety and the ambience was pleasant. It was a bit pricey but there you are. My only gripe was with the owner who I found to be a little insincere, and a tad false. Maybe others have felt differently when engaging with him. Perhaps this should not matter too much, however, as my friend and I chatted to him during the meal and following his apparent insincerity it made me feel rather dispirited for the rest of the meal. To elaborate, he was curt towards me and certainly made me, as a customer, feel unappreciated.
S. B.
Food was amazing and the staff very friendly and attentive.
C. M.
We had food from here this evening. We ordered from the vegan menu and this was hands down the best indian takeaway we've ever had. The food was fresh, well presented and so flavorsome. The koftas in a cashew sauce were out of this world. Generous portions great service and worth every penny.
J. T.
A pity that there is not a 5 star plus option, because this great restaurant is certainly worth one. From the moment that you enter the premises you realise that it is not your standard India restaurant, as you see the perfect high class table settings. Being taught 'Indian' food by various India and Pakistani friends over many years, I am not easily pleased, so as a result usually choose different cuisines.
We dined with 2 friends and this was their first location of choice and how pleased we both were that we agreed. A very varied menu - not the usual type, but a tempting comprehensive list of items to please even the most discerning palate. Frank and I chose scallops for starters and mains of saag (literally the best that I have ever eaten) and goat curry and ,tandoori roti - all were faultless and delicious - the desserts of gulab jamun and rasmalai a perfect end to a perfect meal.
To me, an avid cook, a meal should please the eye as well as the taste buds and this is where Masala Junction wins hands down. The chefs spent time to ensure that every dish was beautifully finished and presented. Service was again friendly and polite even when my credit card was initially rejected!! Many thanks to all concerned in making that meal so special.
Will we be going again? - absolutely!!
I have to say that we had great company as well! :)
M. K.
Possibly the best curry in town. Tastes homemade and the staff are very attentive.
H.
Perfect, most tasty Indian meal ever!
A. H.
Excellent range of tasty vegan dishes. Really enjoyed our meal here. Found it to be quite expensive (£6 for a cobra) so more of a treat than a regular experience but still recommend.
J. W.
Went to this restaurant for the first time on Saturday 12th june 2021....... wow!!!! what amazing food, excellent service and overall an absolute treat! Highly recommend. Cant wait to return very soon.
J. B.
Fabulous food and service well worth the money
W. R.
Nice place to eat. Attentive staff, fabulous food, average prices.. Would go back again. Worth a visit 😊👍
R. V.
Lovely ambience, great Indian cuisine with subtle yet wonderful flavours. A cut above the traditional Western curry house. You pay a little more but it is worth it. Refreshing too to have gentle jazz playing in the background, Dave Brubeck or Nina Simone - nice! Table service also spot on. Go and enjoy.
E. G.
Very nice, but SO expensive when you add in sides and a couple of drinks.
S. L.
Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere!
D. W.
First impressions lovely venue with a modern feel and look. Food presentation was good and on a table off 14, not one complaint regarding taste. Service was spot on and staff attentive. The house red and white wines were very pleasant. Only critasm is we had a standard wheelchair user with us and access to disabled toilet was difficult with little room to manoeuvre as there's a wine fridge right outside the door.
Restaurant is outside the city but we'll worth a visit
A. S.
Good food but think they should make you aware they charge a compulsory service charge automatically to an already expensive bill. Could not see it on the menu as your not looking for the small print and neither did the waiter make us aware of this before we were seated. It is thier responsibility to inform customers beforehand.we asked if this could be taken off but the waiter ignored our request was told "look around everyone is paying it and the restaurant is full".so we paid but felt cheated on being forced to pay something that is 'optional"
T. P.
Absolutely delighted to have finally found the time to visit this exceptional restaurant. Many of the guests I have recommended to eat here have highly rated the food and service, so my husband and I we’re definitely expecting everything to be perfect. We were not disappointed. The ambience is warm and welcoming even as we were first in at 5.30pm and the Restaurant had just opened. It’s clear booking is advisable because as we were leaving the tables were getting busy. Good news travels fast clearly.
The scallops to start are absolutely delicious. Main course was equally as nice and honestly the portion sizes are huge for one person. Freshly cooked and hot. Nothing to much trouble. A good pace of service and fabulous wine menu. Loved the whole experience and we will definitely return.
10/10 on all scores guys, well done and thank you for one of the most pleasant evenings we have had in a while. Tina & Jamie. Horspool Luxury Retreat, Nottinghamshire.
M.
Pretentious place, old bank convert trying to be upscale, top end prices with average good, staff are not well versed like better end places, and a service charge ??? Really!!
K. J.
Delicious and outstanding Indian cuisine. The starter was already a feast on its own. Fresh, not oily curries and great seasoning of the dishes. Very friendly service, huge selection of wines that a sommelier helps you to choose. Beautiful restaurant, calm, relaxed atmosphere. A simply perfect evening!
L. J.
I've been to Masala Junction 4 times now and the food is amazing. The place looks great and staff are so nice and happy to help. I was so impressed i went back with 4 friends. When we got our bill, i was shocked to notice they had added a service charge of 10%. When we asked they said it was a new thing and optional but it didn't say that on the receipt. The place is quite expensive anyway so to add a service charge is out of order. I always leave a tip because the staff deserve it but I found it extremely sneaky the way they tried to add it on.
A. F.
First visit and... Lovely meal last night with a couple of friends. Made to feel extremely welcome and presentation was very good. Service was a little slow to begin with but picked up throughout the night. Only complaint would be the wine being a little on the steep side but overall quite impressed
K. W.
This was our first visit to Masala Junction. A Friday early evening meal for three booked for 7pm.
The place is very nicely presented and staff were very friendly and welcoming. We chose a range of food across the menu, all of it was exceptionally good, service was prompt and efficient.
I am not sure that it was exceptional but it was certainly very good and overall we had a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. I will definitely be back and would have no hesitation in recommending Masala Junction.
P. J.
Nice feel to the place, good service and pleasant food. A little overpriced but that's my opinion and still a solid 4 stars.
J. C.
Been meaning to visit for ages, wishing I hadn’t left it so long. Wonderfully fresh tasting food clearly made to the highest standards and beautifully presented. Service was perfect (friendly but not obtrusive). The building (an old Nat West branch) has been transformed into a crisp contemporary restaurant that just looks like pure class. 100% recommended and will be visiting again soon.
L. L.
The staff were very professional and attentive and the place is very nice indeed. But the food, which is kind of the main thing really for me, was, well, just OK. My partner and I both ordered the goat curry. It was tasty, yes, but not amazing and the portion was decidedly disappointing (4 small pieces of meat, one of which was on the bone). We both felt that, for £15, it was bit underwhelming.

Visited this restaurant while I was away, and wish it were near to where I live. Very tasty, good, well presented food. Friendly waiter's and staff. Welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Would definitely visit again if I was in this area another time
W. T.
I had prawn dinner and the prawns were over cooked. The portions in the 3 years that I have been going there have shrunk . The flavours are the best i have ever had but when you pay 22 pounds for prawns...you want them to be cooked properly.
P. M.
The food here is by far the best Indian I have ever eaten. The service is very friendly and helpful. And the atmosphere was very pleasant. We'll definitely come again. Can't recommend highly enough.
A. O.
So expensive and seems like normal taste of Indian curry . Nothing so special about it . When we went for dinner the aircon wasn't working but manager was pretending that because of covid 19 we cant use all lies. The waiter was absolutely and angle top notch customer service for her . I was in the restaurant on 11th August for my partners bday celebration.
R. W.
Having reserved a table late on my partner and I were most impressed. The initial greeting, ambiance of the restaurant, service, menu and food were just delightful and exceeded our expectations. We will certainly return and would not hesitate to recommend.
A. F.
A really nice restaurant with good friendly service. It's a little bit up market in terms of price but I feel it's good value - the goat curry I had was one of the best curries I've had ever. There is plenty of diversity on the menu - it's not packed with similarly sounding dishes. All our group enjoyed their food. Easily 5 stars.
Updated 2018: Something else I've noticed about their menu is that the food descriptions are quite specific in what the food contains. This is REALLY helpful in deciding what you might like - its none of this ambiguous "Cooked with tomato and spices". The result of this is that i found myself wanting to try many more of the dishes.
B. B.
Delicious food, excellent service and good atmosphere. Their take on chicken tikka masala was nicely rich, tender and beautifully presented. First time we've been to Nottingham for many years and struck lucky with first restaurant pick. We'll be back.
C. H.
Fabulous food, brilliant ambiance, wonderful music. A bit more pricey than your average Indian restaurant but this is above average by far. Great service too
N. C.
Wow! Just wow! You won't be disappointed, the services is impeccable! The food!!! I would say one of the best curries I've had ever. Ordered mixed grill for two and the scollops. Goan fish curry and hot garlic chilli chicken. With plain rice. Keep up the fantastic work. We will be back!!!
C. O.
Friendly staff. The menu is concise not too many choices! Lamb rogan josh which had a good consistent sauce and succulent pieces of lamb plus not too hot. The goat curry again had a good sauce with delicious pieces of succulent goat. Lots of flavour from both dishes all matched with pilau rice. For an early Thursday evening there was a really good vibe about the place. Going again on Tuesday evening next week!
V. P.
One of my favourite Indian restaurants in town. We go monthly, and service always good - they always remember you, and food quality is consistent. I would recommend - prices are fair.
R. W.
Radically different approach to Indian food compared to the usual run of the mill permutations of chicken, meat or prawn with generic sauces. Exquisite spicing, novel combinations and beautiful presentation produce a delicious and memorable result. Attentive service in pleasant surroundings. Good value but not cheap.
Samosas are amazing and lamb nihari a feast. Chicken korma is a revelation.
Highly recommended.
P. W.
Best Indian in Nottingham in my opinion. Food well presented, fresh and tasty. Service excellent and very well designed interior. My husband is a vegatarian and they fully cater for his needs with a creative menu.
l. w.
Only one reservation. This is a true restaurant so don't expect the usual large indian portions. The resto is well laid out and spotless. Waiters hover but do not intrude and the overall level of service is excellent. The food presentation is what you would expect in a high class European resto.
K. H.
Loved the food and service was very professional and attentive. This place is a gem and very stylish. Not the cheapest but worth it for the ambience and food quality and unhurried dining. Ate there on a Monday night and it was busy.
a.
Outstanding!
Visited while staying at the Park Inn hotel, the food here is a cut above most compatible restaurants, some of the best I've eaten in the country. Good selection of drinks including quality real ales, contemporary decor, and attentive service. Highly recommend.
A. J. H.
This place is fantastic. It's just outside of town but it's well worth the extra effort to get to. The food is delicious and the service is first class. I highly recommend to any food lover.
B. V.
We were visiting from London and came across this restaurant as we were driving down the road so we checked reviews online which highly recommended the restaurant. A lovely place to eat with a great atmosphere and amazing staff and service. A few dishes to recommend: chicken xacutti curry, paneer and broccoli for starters and the grilled seafood platter. The trio of chutneys with poppadoms was delicious but the apple and mint chutney was the best. If we lived nearby would definitely come back again and 100% recommend it to anyone and everyone. Thank you to all the staff and chefs for giving us a brilliant experience!!
t. s.
Had a very enjoyable Meal here. Staff were attentive to fine details . Made very welcome from the time you walked through the door to the moment you left . Coats were taken on arrival and returned at the end when requested. Meals were top quality with plenty for everyone. Will definitely visit again when in Nottingham.
J. L.
Every time I visit Masala Junction I'm blown away by the quality of the food as well as the extremely professional and pleasant staff. This restaurant is at least on-par with MemSaab in the city centre and maybe even slightly better. The food is always delicious and is great if your party includes vegetarians or gluten-free diners, they are always happy to ensure your visit is perfect.
L. H.
Lovely atmosphere, great staff and amazing food. This was my first time here but will absolutely not be my last. The menu has too much to pick from, and one visit just isn't enough!
n. W.
One of my new favourite places! Food was excellent, the staff were friendly and the whole experience was highly recommended, and very reasonable prices, especially for the service you receive, including having your coat taken, nice touch 😉
J. K.
Visited after recommendation from hotel staff and was not disappointed. I ordered a junction balti and my partner orderd a lamb nihari the food was well presented but they made a mistake with mine as they gave me a fish curry instead, I hadn't noticed and served it onto my plate when they pointed out their mistake and was willing to correct it. I decided to stick with it even though it wasn't a dish I would normally order and I have to say it was the best mistake ever, it was delicious. We enjoyed our food so much we came back for the second night of our stay in Nottingham and I had my balti which was equally delicious. Best Indian restaurant I have been to
H. r.
Welcoming atmosphere and great decor. The service was good and the food was excellent. Really lovely light meal and good local beer. My new favourite Indian restaurant in Nottingham
M. M.
went with my partner for my birthday hadn't booked but they found us a table. ordered a dish that wasn't sure about when It arrived was delicious but to hot for me they did no more but do me a fresh dish to suit my palate and didn't charge us for it. will go back again soon. Fab place and staff.
V. G.
Delicious food!! Best Indian food we've had. Lovely restaurant - the decor and music. Staff really friendly, attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend! Thank you.
R. M.
The food here was awesome me, my wife and kid went here for dinner, when you first walk in your hit by a very nice smell from the kitchen, the place looks amazing there has been some thought into the design of it.
The staff were very polite and were very quick to find seating for us, the food and drink are slightly more expensive than some other places in the area, but the food is well worth the extra money, everything was served in a timely manner and we were not kept waiting, i will be coming back to eat here again.
Thank You Guys
J. M.
Nice ambiance, good service, interesting menu with some diversity from the usual Indian menu, food is certainly a cut above the average Indian restaurant experience. Still though, £45 a head you'd expect all that. And while the food was good, I didn't think it was that good.
A. H.
Absolutely brilliant night the food was out of this world, the company was brilliant, and the staff we always thinking of your needs Deffo going again. 100% satisfaction guaranteed if you eat here.
C. H.
The best curry I have ever eaten. It usually gets booked up 5 to 6 days in advance, but try your luck either way. We did and we weren't disappointed!
S. B.
Extremely well laid out plenty of room between tables. Staff very attentive. Food excellent, well cooked to your liking, hot or spicy or in-between. Slightly expensive but we'll worth it.
A. N.
Spectacular Indian food. Highly recommended by everyone before I came here, and did not disappoint. Great atmosphere, great service, great good. Love it. Will be back.
C. H.
I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff are welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed it when visiting Nottingham we made a great choice picking this place. It's just a shame we live so far away as we would definitely be regular customers!!
S. H.
Absolutely loved this place. From walking in the door and having our coats taken off us, the excellent prompt service, gorgeous food and being helped back on with our coats. It's the little touches that matter and they don't disappointment.
C. H.
Great food. Good sized portions. Polite and courteous service. A bit on the expensive side. I'm not a fan of service charge being added automatically.
S. N.
Really enjoyed the food me and my husband are here. We are not from around the area so was so lucky to find amazing Indian food on offer. The only problem is, is that it is very expensive here!!
C. S.
We have visited Masala Junction previously, and were very impressed, so when it came for somewhere special to celebrate my dad's 70th Birthday, he chose to go again, and it was excellent. Faultless service, delicious food...the only problem was everything on the menu sounded so good I struggled to choose. Looking forward to our next visit.
S. J.
The quality and flavour of the take away meals is superb restaurant standard. Highly recommended without reservation.

Wow! I have been wanting a new restaurant experience and last night i got it!! Food was devine, from the fresh scallops to the Prawn Malabar and the token Chocolate Fondant (that apparently a family member states in the menu...you can't open a restaurant with a chocolate dessert...) my thoughts exactly! Great interior, modern and stylish complimented by friendly & accomodating staff. Fantastically positioned on the way into town, originally it was a Bank, so the interior has great features of high ceilings. All in all a most amazing evening was had celebrating our friends birthday. Thank you to the staff & the owner for personalising the night. We will definitely be back & will be sure to spread the word.

Visited on Saturday 11th for a romantic meal for two. The reputation of Masala Junction precedes it, and I must say it delivers on all counts. Top-class, London-quality, family-owned establishment. What you don't necessarily expect is the value to be so good, what with the average main being around £15 and being substantial enough to satisfy a considerable appetite. The chutney selection with the poppadoms was a great way to start off, and the delightful spiced potato patty starter (Aloo Tikki) is well recommended. The family recipe Junction Goat Ka Salan is phenomenonal. Don't fret about it if you're unfamiliar with kid goat as a meat, if you like red meat generally there is nothing really challenging about it, and the balance of spice and flavour is mouth-watering - falls right off the bone! Not overly spicy. The wine selection is master somelier curated (there's, like, only about 200 ish of such experts in the world, apparently). This is great, because I don't really know my wine. The waiter was able to suggest a complimentary wine for my meal. I had the Camarsac Bordeaux (France) - it was delicious. This place also does a mean Jamaican coffee (Captain Morgan's!), which is nice for afters. Did I mention the restaurant is soundproofed? The restaurant is soundproofed. Even sirens flashing by on the busy road outside made no interruption to the gentle jazz ambience inside. I spent £67,00 on a memorable meal for two with wines, starters, mains and an Irish coffee to finish. Will definitely be back.

Fabulous food,if a bit on the pricey side

If you're looking for an Indian restaurant that's a bit out-of-the-ordinary (in a good way) then give Masala Junction a visit. An interesting menu for those who want to venture slightly beyond the 'traditional' dishes. Highly recommended.
W. R.
Excellent service, and environment. Extremely high quality dining experience....I didn't even like curry before I ate there the first time, now it's my favourite place and always go on special occasions!
C. R.
One of the best curry houses in Nottingham. We've been 5 or 6 times, each time is as good as the first. A little out of town, but for local residence, it's a right little gem.
S. G.
Really good tasty dishes, best we had in Nottingham so far. Also good service. Fairly classy. Not cheap. Would go back.
B. D.
Hands down best Indian takeaway I've had, all fresh really good food and was a quick delivery. Highly recomend!!

B. T.

C. B.
Fantastic restaurant. Some of the best Indian food I've ever had, and the service is second to none. Pricey, but definitely worth it.
T. M.

We arranged a private party at Masala Junction. All arrangements were done perfectly to our requirements. Hosting was exemplary and food was just divine. Each dish tasted of fresh ingredients and unique spices.
J. S.
Food was excellent and reasonably priced, arrived in reasonable time considering how busy it was. Only gripe was with the servicing staff; they weren't particularly attentive, even when idle they appeared to gaze off into the distance and avoid our attention. That being said they were polite enough and pretty helpful... Bottom line, I would recommend to a friend :D
M. G.
Went for our son's 40th and the food and staff was amazing. They helped me to pick something that I would like and it was delicious all my family throughly enjoyed the evening. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants something special. Thank you from Margaret

Junction Balti is excellent, full of flavour. Service excellent, very attentive and the staff are friendly. A laudible attempt has been made to serve bottled craft beer but it is served too cold.
R. T.

Happened to be in Nottingham one Friday evening and came across this place on google , despite not phoning to book until very late in the afternoon they managed to accommodate myself and my girlfriend
The interior décor was very nice and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere which I have rarely encountered at Indian style restaurants before
The menu is quite refined as they don’t have your usual vindaloos / madras / pathia / korma etc etc they seem to concentrate on some more authentic Indian flavours
They did have a tikka masala which is not my usual go to curry but I was hungry and not feeling adventurous enough to try one of the more acquired curries
I asked for it to be made slightly spicier and they obliged my girlfriend had an xacuti
Both mains arrived within 20 mins despite the restaurant being busy
The curries were absolutely delicious fresh and full of flavour I eat a lot of Indian across the country and was mightily impressed with the quality of this
Will definitely be returning when I am in Nottingham next
