Free parking, seating inside, clean toilets and digital fish swimming over your head. Fabulous! I had a coke zero, large chips with two fish cakes and it was lush. When I asked for some mayo I was brought an ample tub at no extra charge. Great service from all the staff (and not just me - everyone who came in) Definitely going to come here again. Thanks for a lovely tea 😋

Best fish and chips in Nottingham. The place is nice and clean. The seating area is very suitable for families. And the staff are so friendly. Update: I went yesterday with the family to have some fish and chips. Unfortunately it wasn't like the last time we went. An issue that I have experienced with many different restaurants. After a while it starts going downhill. How sad. The portion are much smaller then usual and the fish was definitely different and didn't taste the same. I wish I saw the owner I would have mentioned it. I hope this reaches him.

Absolutely wonderful experience here at Mother Hubbards Nottingham. Literally the best fish and chips in town without a doubt. Beautiful place, amazing staff and top notch service. Would recommend to everyone who loves a cheeky fish and chips. MUST TRY!!!!

Sadly gone down hill since opening. I would not recommend the peas or curry as the peas were so salty were inedible. Curry sauce was thin with no flavour as well. However, the chips were nice and thick and the gravy was good.

I recieved a note with my delivery today, from Lisa, Kieren and Arash, asking me to leave a review on google. This was a risky move, given I only tend to review when brutality is required, being the pessimist I am. However, the food from mother Hubbards is always outstanding. Better yet, it is half the price of my previous favourite fish and chippy, the cods and scallops. So, Lisa, Kieren and Arash, well played. And please keep up the quality of your food and service. Update - since writing this review the price on deliveroo has gone up quite considerably.

I attended this fine establishment just before closing time the other night. The staff were great. Even though I'd missed last orders, they fried me a fresh spicy fish. They'd run out of chips, but one of the staff members was insistent that I have his that he had just packed, ready to take home for himself. Long story short, I got home with a great portion of fish n chips and they tasted like heaven. Great place, get down there.

Visited here on a Sunday had fish bites chips and mushy peas(child's portion) which for me was more than enough with batter bits and I must say this has been the best chippy I have had in a very long time it was all hot and fresh the staff member serving was friendly gave us time to look at the menu and decide. Very good customer service, staff are very helpful. I was made to feel welcome and served quickly. I needed help with taking the food to the table. Staff were happy to help. We went as a family and dined in. I made my order and forgot the drinks. The girl who served us brought the drinks to the table without any judgement. I visited tonight (9/02/2022) at 10:38pm for the first time. They shut at 11pm so I wasn’t expecting the best quality of food because of closing or maybe not the happiest and talkative of staff, but I have to say extremely lovely staff, and great food! The staff are very friendly, happy to chat even at that time when all I would want it to be going home! Food was very good, lovely chips which most places can’t seem to do right. Lovely fish cakes, and battered sausage. Will definitely be returning!

I attended the 45p event today and was pleasantly surprised to find I got a FULL sized portion of fish and chips ! I would have paid up to £10 for a portion that size - but to get it at 45p was amazing 🤭!! That alone was worthy of 5stars but I was further surprised when the fish and chips were THE tastiest I have ever eaten! The batter was crispy and the chips were traditional chunky chips with a side of mushy peas 🤤! I also got to meet Mother Hubbard , which has been the highlight of my year !!!! Great service , amazing staff, unbelievably good fish and chips ... what more could I want???! I will be a regular here thank you mother hubbards !

I have been using the new branch in Nottingham since it opened. I have got to know the staff quite well, they are always helpful and have my order ready on arrival. On my last visit I was 20p short to pay for my order. Kardell was kind enough to put the 20p in the til for me, very kind boy! I will pay it back on my next visit. Very happy customer!

Went to Mother Hubbards in beechdale this evening and ordered the super jumbo fish and chips and mushy peas to share with the family. I had to wait as this was a made to order item but it was well worth the wait. Fish beautifully cooked, batter was crispy and very flavourful. Chips were great and the peas were nice too. Overall great meal. Great service and great value for money. Will be sure to recommend to friends and be returning again soon

Lisa recommended for us to try the Jumbo XXXL fish box (this typically serves 4 people, but my boyfriend ate 2/3 of it to himself). All the food and sauces were delicious and great value. Would recommend to everyone. Staff are helpful and have lots of recommendations.

Cannot stop praising the Fish & Chips are on point! The curry sauce is yummy! From the nice and soft chips to the lovely Fish which was mouth watering as the batter was soft and fluffy with crispy ends, Service was excellent, Staff were all smiling happy to serve and help me, i strongly recomend to try highly! Amazing Normally from most places, the fish and chips box containers are absolutely full of grease and fall apart (delivery) and the fish batter wet. From here the batter was crispy and the container pretty much dry. Spot on food, highly recommended 👌

Nice fish with crispy batter. Chips okay as well. Friendly staff. A few tables for eating in, which we did. My only gripe is cardboard tray's and plastic knives and forks. I can understand why they do it but personally I prefer a proper plate, knife and fork when I'm eating in. That's just me I suppose

Not that I'm professing to be a Fish & Chips connoisseur, but the fish bites & chips were one of the best I've had when I went to the new branch on the Beachdale Road site, with my friends last week. The batter was crispy, the fish was fluffy & the chips perfect! The team were very friendly and one of the of the management was there too. He came over to check if everything was to our satisfaction, which I thought was a very nice touch too. Thank you and it's about time we had a Mother Hubbards in Nottingham. I've been to Mother Hubbards at least 3 times and every time I ordered my favourite item Fish bites and chips it was always piping hot with crispy batter. Went to Nottingham Mother Hubbards today with found memories of the original Bradford version 20 plus years ago. My wife's from Yorkshire and they value the quality of there fish and chip shops and todays food was superb. We will be back . So glad mother hubbards has opened up round the corner from me, the haddock was beautiful, crispy batter and beautifully flakey chunks of fish, i know some shops cut corners and use cheaper ingredients, this can not be said for this shop.
