Love this fish & chip shop, never disappointed when I visit. Generally I eat in and have a large fish, chips, mushy peas, bread & butter and either a diet coke or a cup of tea. Devine. The staff are really friendly and it's kept very clean and tidy. Can't recommend it enough.

My favourite place in Nottingham. Cozy, quiet atmosphere, friendly staff and hearty comfort food. I usually have the mix doner kebab and it's easily the best that I have had in Nottingham. It is served in the way it should be and portions are generous as well. Would definitely recommend

Went to Nottingham to see the mighty Afghan Whigs in Concert at the Rescue Rooms and decided to stay over at a hostel rather than miss any of the gig and go home early. So this meant the chance to sample some Nottingham fish and chips. Moulin Rouge came up as an option on the way back to get the train to work. It has a seating area at the back. Ordered fish and chips with beans and bread and butter with a drink. All came as part of a deal and was less than a tenner. Chips were ok. A few more to fill the empty quarter of the plate would have made it look more balanced. Peas and beans come separate in a bowl. Chips were ok and the fish was nice with a crispy batter that wasn't too heavy. Restaurant is calm and very clean. Take out is also available. Table service was friendly and efficient.

Food is what you'd expect from a Fish and Chips joint. It's tasty and the portions are gigantic so don't go for large unless you're trying to gain serious weight! Staff is nice and always makes us feel welcome, that's great :)

Fish, chips and mushy peas £3.40 meal deal. Plenty of white flaky fish inside a batter that was crisp. Chips were cooked but pale and semi soggy, mushy peas were nice. All in all excellent value for money and kept me going until I got home from hospital appointment. Was asked if I was eating in, or take out. Said out and was asked if I wanted wrapped or not. Good customer service with 1 doing the order and taking the money, another staff member serving up the food.

The food was nice, staff was polite and friendly accept I think the prices to eat in are outrageous nearly £10 for every meal even for sausage, chips and mushy peas etc and when asking 1 or 2 little pieces of donner meat to put onto my burger they tried to charge me £4 I said I'm not paying for a small small kebab I just want 1 or 2 little pieces of meat to go onto the burger so they said OK we charge you £3 instead of £4 apparently they cannot put extras on?? Either that or you don't understand English.

I am the customer of Moulin Rouge from last 15 years and enjoying the food there. The new interior is amazing and give the modern look to the restaurant but outside the offer boards not look much nice. The restaurant is clean with soothing atmosphere. I love chips and gravy that taste so nice I recommend that visit and taste the great food there. Thanks

Went to Moulin Rouge and was happy to see that they have made a restaurant at the back... these is very nicely presented and tables allow for privacy. The waiter was very friendly but not overbearing which was nice. THe food I ordered was lovely and the restaurant was happy to adapt my order to suit my dietary needs. Would definately go again and would recommend this as a place where you can eat as you take a break from shopping... or even a place to eat prior to going out for a drink.. ❤️❤️❤️

Had fish chips and mushy peas today. They only had white bread not brown unfortunately. Also we asked for some scraps from the fish frying but the manager refused to oblige. Difficult service every time. Makes me bloated.
