Went last night and had the taster menu. The space was ambient, intimate and rustic (don't expect linen table cloths). The staff were attentive, enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. The food was creative, interfering, delicious and well executed. The cheese was insane and tasted as good as any real non vegan gorgonzola I'd ever had. I personally found a bit too much sweetness in a few of the dishes including the main course. However I would return without hesitation. Fantastic!

My wife and I dined at No 12 for lunch. The service was very friendly and helpful. The tasting plates were excellent as can be seen from the photos. My wife had two different cocktails, similar types to what she would usual have, but didn't like either of them. They both appeared and tasted a little processed and lacking in fresh flavour. Perhaps a selection issue. Would however recommend the food.

Visited in the fall, an my time here still lingers in the mind, they are doing truly great things at this restaurant, it is culinary perfection.
Certainly a treasure for vegans and a real eye opener for non vegans, both will enjoy the exceptional dishes and service.
It's worth going out of your way to visit.

Best vegan food I’ve ever had in a restaurant 😋 so nice and fresh, feels healthy rather than processed vegan food which I find quite common for vegan food in restaurants. This is my 2nd visit now and I already can’t wait to go again. The menu changes every season and they’re tasting plates which I think is a good idea because you try more dishes! The service is always great and staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Amazing food and drinks, couldn’t believe it was vegan. The cheese platter was delicious with the bread. Service wasn’t good, it seemed like they were short staffed. We sat with dirty empty plates and dishes from the starter all through to desert and it was still on the table when we left. Other than that a great experience food wise.

I have to say, this is a lovely place and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food while nicely presented, wasn’t as nice as expected. The faux meat platter was excellent - shame it didn’t come with any crackers - the highlight of our dinner for sure. The other dishes were nice enough but our expectations were higher based on all the reviews we’ve seen online; some of the dishes were just bland (for example the pearl barley dish or the cauliflower tart) and we would not have ordered them again. Cocktails were delicious and not too expensive. Overall it was a nice enough experience but the place is a bit over-hyped.

I went here for my 36th birthday as I'd always loved eating at Number 12 before it moved to the new building. This was easily the best meal I've eaten in 31 years before and 5 years since becoming vegan. This isn’t just great vegan food, this is incredible food full stop. Only down side is that we were all so excited about the food we forgot to leave a tip and felt terrible about it the rest of the evening. Shall be leaving a double tip the next time we visit, which will hopefully be soon!
For a tapas style restaurant, each dish was still large enough I felt like I could share a bit of each so that everyone got to experience each dish. I was unable to find a single dish that wasn't enjoyable, even the carrot salad that I turned my nose up at on the menu was actually delicious in reality when I tried a bit of it my friend ordered. I would strongly recommend the sharing board, the camembert, the king oyster mushrooms, and the potatoes.
The new building is so lovely and had a very relaxing atmosphere and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive as they always have been both before and after moving to its current location.
Finally is worth noting that while me and my wife are both vegan, our two friends who went with us are not and they were equally as blown away by the food as we were. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The waiter made this place. Sure he had his patter down and we heard our warm hearted greeting and welcome repeated to others but it worked. Even if he didn’t really care he came across as a man who knew his onions. Actually he knew his Heritage courgettes, but that’s not a saying so I had to say onions first. He made recommendations and we were stuffed after. A really tasty feed. Would recommend to non veggie weirdos too to maybe open their eyes to the possibility that food can be tasty as you like without dead animals being involved.

Excellent food and service / experience. Paying very little really for great well thought out food and ingredients. It’s a must for any vegans or anyone! The Brie and brioche was 10/10
M. K.
This place was all vegan and I enjoyed the experience, the menu is a tapas taster style but the portions are generous, you all need to try the King Oyster Mushrooms!!! Was in truffle heaven the mushroom mousse was so good I ordered 2! Also the Brie & Brioche with vegan brie is a must try! Ideally 3 to 4 dishes from the menu is ideal and I had a nice evening was quiet not overcrowded and would recommend anyone who wants to try vegan artisan dinning this is the place to go. I will be back again very soon. Thank you for making my day special first meal out since lockdown! And was worth it 💛
J. C.
Absolutely AWESOME! The entire meal was 5 stars from the testing dishes to the desserts. Any dish ordered from here promises to please. Don't pass up an opportunity to taste the Faux Camembert dish.. it's to die for!
V. W.
Absolutely beautiful food and amazing that it’s all vegan. Fabulous menu and brilliant that it’s designed to share, which means you can try more things! Also good for lighter meals as it’s like tapas. Beautiful fresh food with clean flavours that pack a punch! The chef(s) are creative and incredibly skilled. Great little place with friendly and helpful staff. Thank you No. Twelve, we’ll be back!

A beautiful restaurant. Wonderful food, lovely casual romantic atmosphere, and very friendly helpful staff. The miso leeks and artichokes are a must have!
P. B.
We had really delicious small plates (tapas style). I'm not vegan and was a little sceptical about eating vegan 'cheese', but I really enjoyed it - in particular the 'brie'. One of our party has allergies to some, but not all, nuts. The staff handled this better than just about any establishment we've been to - taking it seriously, listening, checking ingredients, without making a fuss. I thoroughly recommend this place!
J. F.
We had such a wonderful time ordering the small plates and tasting a wide variety of the menu. We are not vegan yet were blown away by the unique flavors and beautiful dishes. It was such a fun and unique experience with a great selection of food. The staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely return!
D. M.
Dined here yesterday evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. The informal atmosphere and friendly staff set the tone. The food is well created, interesting and full of diverse flavours and textures. My only criticism is that the tasting menu includes two desserts with an optional vegan cheese course at extra cost. I would prefer one sweet dessert and the cheese course included as standard. Overall a great evening and will definitely return.

Me and my partner came here last night for our 6 year anniversary and it didnt disappoint! We came last year with friends and enjoyed it but they have upped their game even more now. The tapas style dishes make it easier for people like me to have a mix of everything. We had 6 dishes, bread and dessert each and was nicely full.
The pear potato cakes were out of this world and the smoked aubergine is also a must with some bread! There wasn't one dish I didn't like!
P. C.
The food here is incredible! Tapas style dishes that are packed with flavour and amazing local ingredient. This has to be some of the best vegan food I've ever eaten. Highest of recommendations.
Z. K.
Heard good things about this place as a veggie/vegan option and was so pleasantly surprised. It was fantastic. The staff were nice and helpful. The food was to die for. Will definitely be going back here again soon. The olives were lovely and I don’t usually like olives. My partner had the no.12 burger which was delicious. The side of garlic potatoes were addictive and the little pot of pickled veg on the side were a lovely touch. My arrancini balls with the chutney were a great pairing. And the desserts were the perfect finish.

Stunning. The age old red brick walls with simple yet stunning floral decorations, quaint furniture and low fi beats make for relaxed feel. The wine is magnificent, the food divine and service absolutely impeccable. 6 stars.
H. f.
Had a lovely evening of vegan Tapas/ small plate food. Dishes were varied and delicious. High standard of food. Very friendly staff. Favourite was the brioche. Our new favourite restaurant.
H. K.
We dined last night, and I can hand on heart say this was the best experience and the most delicious food I have had in a very very long time. From the chap who took us to our table and explained how is worked to the lovely waitress who served our food. I came away thinking Wow! Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.
M. W.
Delicious food, friendly service and lovely atmosphere! Mushroom scallops were particularly amazing ! We will definitely be back :)
J. F.
Honestly, could not find a single fault if I tried. Food was insanely good, wine pairings were incredible, and service was the best I've ever received. Big shout out to Sam who served us, very responsive and accommodating. I have no doubt that I'll be back, it was truly a fantastic experience. Thank you.

Decided to book a table here on a day trip to Nottingham. Staff were excellent. They were very friendly, attentive & knowledgeable. Visited mid afternoon so very quiet but still a good atmosphere. I have been a vegan now for 2 years and was previously vegetarian. One of the things I miss most is a decent cheese. We ordered the cheese plate more in hope than anything. To be honest I was anticipating being disappointed yet again as with the many vegan cheeses I have tried in the past. I couldn't have been more wrong. All 5 cheeses were excellent with the blue cheese and brie being exceptionally good. I believe that they are sourced from a company in London that previously produced normal cheese but went plant based. It made me very happy to know that there is this standard of plant based cheese out there!
Tasting dishes were well presented and good. The Cauliflower Tart Fine was cold. Not meant as a criticism - more a heads up. I thought this worked very well, being cold, but my wife wasn't so keen.
Very good drinks menu. My wife had a cocktail which she said was very good.
All in all couldn't fault it.
The company also have an online presence called "Faux". At present they do not do deliveries but they intend to do this at sometime in the future. I will definitely be ordering cheeses from them as soon as they do.

My new favourite restaurant! My partner and I came to No. Twelve to celebrate our birthdays, and we were impressed from the moment we walked in. The staff are extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is lovely and cosy - not the snobby feeling you get from some restaurants that serve this level of quality.
The vegan camembert sharer was phenomenal: it was so close to the real thing, I couldn't tell the difference! The brie is equally as perfect, along with the charcuterie board.
The drinks on offer are fabulous. I can't recommend this place enough. I cannot wait to return!
f. f.
Went for a team night out. Of the 6, only 1 a true vegetarian. We ordered all the tasting dishes on the menu. It was all delicious, I was so surprised to be full. Cannot fault it, 100% recommend this for everybody. Didn't miss not having meat.
D. A.
Second time at No.12. GREAT food, lovely atmosphere and the team were all fab. (I think our waitress was a new server.) We went to the faux butchers after recommendation recently too which we loved. We recommend the faux Camembert and Brie. Thanks to the no. 12 team!
Y. P.
1st time there last night, great food, vegan cheese board is amazing!
Not what we expected, great atmosphere and lovely service.
Rest of the food was superb, highly recommended!
k. j.
Really great staff - lovely setting. Very good food and selection. My only criticism would be a little overpriced. We had the sharing board at £22

I took my wife for an evening with No 12’s tasting menu as a birthday treat last Thursday and it was, honestly, incredible. Excellent ingredients, thoughtfully prepared and served, and delicious flavours throughout. The tasting menu comes at £60 per head, eating lasts just over 3 hours - and having eaten at Alchemilla and Vanilla Black (RIP) for similar prices, No 12 is most definitely in their league.
The meal comes with complimentary amuse bouche (Gorgonzola and heritage tomato for us) and petits fours (cardamom orange marshmallows and avocado chocolate hazelnut truffles, along with a very sweet birthday message for my wife in chocolate) and, unusually for a tasting menu, also includes a full sized main plate (potato terrine, carrot and courgette, dal and papadam with ras-al-hanout and golden sultana, finished with dill). Since we also added the optional cheese course (blue cheese and beet carpaccio with cherry) we were served 9 plates altogether - all delightful, and more than enough for 3 hours of fun and truly delicious exploration.
Special mention must be reserved for the desserts, and in particular owner-chef Ritchie’s glacé work. The Granny Smith sorbet on the apple plate was stunning - paired with the cinnamon syrup poached apple cylinders it was perfect - but the star of the show was the chocolate orange sorbet which sat perched on the chocolate plate like a triumphant cat in an airing cupboard. Paired with tarragon crème pat and a rich, ganache filled chilled chocolate orange sponge, this was by far my favourite course and I enthused so much about it to Lauren, our server and the co-owner, that Ritchie came out with a bowl of his brand new basil sorbet for us to try. Served with freeze dried raspberries on a soil of hazelnut, this was fresh as a daisy and could easily be served, alone on a spoon, as a palate cleanser as well as in a delicious and complex dessert.
We didn’t do wine pairings - in part because I don’t drink enough to make 7 glasses of wine a reasonable prospect, in part because I refuse to admit pairings with desserts are much use. But more fool me, because the marmalade notes in the white Rioja we chose instead were perfect companion to the chocolate orange of our last course.
Lauren and Ritchie made us so welcome, and having this calibre of vegan food available here - god love the vegan junk movement, but enough with the seitan ribs, please - is a brilliant treat and an excellent addition to Nottingham’s incredible food culture. Bravo 🥰

5 out of 5 for the food it was beautiful and full of flavour, the service aswell was absolutely fantastic. The only bit of critism I do have is that the sharers I believe are to small we all said we could have ate the sharer to ourselves and still not be full, however they was still really tasty and by far the best vegan food I've tasted.
R. K.
One of the best restaurants in Nottingham with an innovative menu and excellent food. Really looking forward to trying the rest of the items on the menu.

We went there for the first time in January 2019 when it was in its previous location and we had such nice vegetarian food. It was a very small, cozy restaurant and we got served by the lovely owners. We also got free cakes before leaving as it was closing time. Now they've moved to this new, bigger building and the service is still superb. The English breakfast is delicious and filling. We went there for dinner as well and we were so glad we tried things out of our comfort zone. Great service, great atmosphere, great food, great prices. It's the best restaurant in the city, even if you're not vegetarian. Would recommend this to anyone.
I.
My friend and I went for dinner there. The port lions are small but the quality is there. Remember that al the products served are fresh and everything is freshly made.
The salami & truffle verano, the verano ends and the confit garlic Parmentier were delicious ! However, the garden steak wasn’t so grate. I think its texture should be reviewed. It is way too spongy and sweet for the description made. Perhaps try to make it more crunchy?
The staff was professional and friendly... and perhaps they should warn guests when seated about the £0.99 optional carbone footprint charged.
To drink, I have had a raspberry and rose with vodka and my friend a lemonade that she enjoyed.
Overall the experience was great.
S. M.
One of the best meals I've had for ages - just fantastic flavours. Friendly efficient service and a lovely quiet atmosphere for a restaurant in the city.
N. W.
Beautiful food, everything vegetarian and can be made vegan, really delicious, healthy and inventive with great cakes and drink options. Slightly on the pricey side but completely worth it for the quality. Gorgeous decor, very hygge and cosy, small but well layed out. Lovely service, the owners are clearly very passionate and very friendly. Deserved all the awards they've received!
M. F.
If you're ever in Nottingham you HAVE to eat here! Everything was absolutely amazing! One of the nicest, coziest, friendliest places I've been to in a long time. Every item on the menu is vegetation and can be made vegan if you ask, and everything tastes as good as it looks!
K. C.
My firm favorite!! Gourmet vegan food at its best. I'm not vegan, but I totally 😍 the food there. I've practically tried almost the whole menu
M. C.
Lovely and cosy little place, everything was done just right. Food is ethical, delicious and reasonably priced! We had such a delightful lunch here and was made to feel so welcome by the owners! Everything in the cafe has love and thought into it from the food to the decor! We will be back! 😻
L. H.
The food here is incredible! I had the popcorn chicken which was delicious. I can't wait to visit again so I can try the whole menu. Everything is vegetarian but can easily be made vegan. I also had a oat milk hot chocolate and couldn't tell it was vegan. I'm now regretting not ordering a cake!
A. B.
This is the best place in Nottingham if you are vegan/vegetarian period! You just can't go wrong here. The dishes are amazing and the amount is spot on. Definitely visit this place once you are in town. Thank you for the amazing lunch Lauren & Ritchie :)
p.s. Make sure you have a coffee after your main dish. You won't regret it ;)
J. V.
Finally managed to have a great dinner here. Tapas style allowed to have many little bites of the high quality food. Delicious!
T. P.
AMAZING FOOD. Best vegan food in Notts! Anything on the menu can be vegan, the vegan bacon and egg was amazing! My non veggie friend said it was the best salad she's ever had! Very friendly and welcoming owners and great banana cake.
J. H.
Great place! Short menu, friendly customer service, complementary water.
I was only visiting Nottingham, but if I was staying I would absolutely come back!
Food was fantastic, properly cooked, seasoned and presented. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a bite to eat in Nottingham.
Would also recommend the doubled up hash stack (veggie).
A. D.
Beyond amazing breakfast and outstanding plating in the cutest mini restaurant! P.s you guys will need to expand soon taking in consideration how many people love your food hehe!!! See you next time! Beetroot drink with coconut milk is really delish..♡
S. R.
I've been here twice now and loved it both times! I love that the plates are small so you can order lots of things to try. The mushroom dish was incredible, definitely my favourite. We also tried the camembert which tasted so good, I still can't believe it's vegan! Very impressive. Can't wait to come back and try even more of the menu
L. D.
Out of this world. I've been a vegan for 22 years and a restaurant reviewer for national newspapers and magazines, and this is among the best vegan dinners I've ever had. I just moved to Nottingham - thanks to all at No.Twelve for confirming it was the right decision! Believe them when they tell you to get the Camembert.
S.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant. We dined here recently, getting a selection of food, and some drinks. The staff were extremely polite and accommodating. Will certainly be returning again. If we could offer a slight criticism, it is that there is no gluten free bread. It would be awesome to have that option in future. Overall, just a great spot, and one to which we will be happily returning in future.
M. P.
Food was good, wasn't blown away by the dishes, staff were very friendly and the gent behind the bar in particular was so friendly and had great service and made the best espresso martini I've ever had. I feel like the menu needs more wow and more flavour! Out of the 8 dishes I think 3 we liked the others we wouldn't remember... we would return when the menu changes!
J. M.
Came on recommendation and to say it did not disappoint would be an understatement! The staff were extremely friendly and the food was honestly amazing. Every plate felt like so much care had be put into it, but the real showstopper was the camembert which was hands down the best vegan cheese I’ve ever eaten! Even my non-vegan boyfriend similarly thought it was really excellent. Would definitely come again.
M. G.
Very tasty vegan Sunday roast, delicious vegan desert, delightful staff, lovely live piano music and a cosy, homely atmosphere. Will visit again next time I'm in Nottingham
N. H.
What a great experience. The service was second to none, helpful and friendly. Also gave us options when to get served the food. The food was delicious, and you won't believe that vegan food can be this good but it is. Will certainly come back.
S. A.
This is the best vegan restaurant I’ve been to! You can tell that they are very creative and very passionate about food.
The service also is second to non.
J. C. A.
Excellent place for a brunch! A place where even non vegetarian or vegan people will enjoy as the taste of the food is delicious! Really recommend the mushroom toast with that caramelized sauce.. delicious! Not very fan of the charcoal or beetroot drinks... as they only tasted milk :( but they look amazing in pictires :) I hope they get a bigger place to fit even more people!!
G. A.
Love this place. I've been working my way through most of the menu over several visits! Nothing has disappointed so far and I can't choose a favourite. Everything is fresh, delicious and beautiful food and drink alike. It's a rare thing to find a place like this that offers healthy, nutritional, filling food that doesn't sacrifice taste. On top of this Lauren and Ritchie are genuinely friendly and welcoming without being overbearing if you're not in the mood to chat. Hope you stick around guys :)
S. F.
Such a nice meal!! Friendly staff and lovely interior. Amazing experience from start to finish!
E. B.
Fantastic vegan/veggie cafe. Delicious food and cozy vibe. Quite a few gluten free options.
D. T.
Fantastic experience, great food and customer personalisation. Creativity of dishes are expertly thought through.
J. R.
First time at the restaurant and it was a pleasant time. Food was lovely, especially the lemon dessert. However, although this is a tapas style place, would have preferred the portion sizes to be slightly more than what I got. Still a nice time was had and will go again.
W.
The atmosphere and the staff is really nice. Although the food looked good, the taste wasn’t really nice or mindblowing . At least for us.
S.
amazing food and service (especially recommend the brie and brioche and king oyster mushrooms!)
D. H.
Love this place.
The owners are warm, polite and curteous and the food is fantastic.
We were in Nottingham for the weekend and gambled on this place for breakfast - We were thoroughly glad that we did.
A. G.
Amazing food in a lovely setting. Interesting combinations and great cheese/meat alternatives. Would recommend
K. C.
An absolutely fantastic vegan restaurant with sharing plates of all sorts, all of them delicious. A relaxed vibe but serious food that is seriously yum. The baked camembert was a revelation and the desserts were startlingly lovely.
The staff were friendly, knowledgable, and very helpful in deciding on which dishes and how many for our group. When we wanted to know about the ingredients (I want that camembert!) they knew exactly who made it and where we could purchase it locally.
A. K.
Some beautifully crafted dishes. Particularly enjoyed the the Gardin Verrine Pea Mousse and the Miso Leeks. Some great cocktails as well. Well worth a visit!
E. G.
Amazing! Some of the best food I have ever eaten in my life. Definitely worth to check this restaurant out! 😍
T. M.
Such a lovely place for brunch! Delicious vegan options, cozy ambiance, friendly staff. Will visit again!
E. H.
Wonderful food as usual from No. Twelve. The small plates were perfect for sharing and meant I could try everything on the menu. I was particularly impressed with the winter drinks on offer too. Highly recommend for everyone, whether you are vegan, veggie or flex!
J. S.
Food was amazing, have been vegan for a while, the dishes and flavours were fantastic. Only a small criticism; the staff could have been more attentive.
P. L.
The food and service was fabulous. Will definitely be returning!
L. W.
Sunday menu was amazing. We had three devine plates of food. Delicious pea and paprika soup, plant based roast each component so tasteful you didn't want to eat it too quickly. I enjoyed the red cabbage and mash the best. The desert chocolate mousse, oh my goodness I can't believe how tasteful and wonderful it was. Yes followed by amazing coffee. Highly recommend even if you are not a veggie or vegan.
E. E.
Excellent place, excellent service. Lovely menu.
M. B.
Outstanding vegan food and the best cocktails. Service the best I've ever had. Can't praise this place enough.
D. R.
Honestly one of the nicest places we have eaten (and we eat out alot!) The building is absolutely beautiful and the staff are so welcoming and friendly, each one had a smile on their face and it felt like they were happy to be there. The drinks were great and the food was incredible, so much flavour and care had been given to each dish. Will definitely be going back asap. Keep up the amazing work guys!
C. W.
A stunning experience. Hard pressed to choose a favourite dish as all tasted amazing. We left satisfied we had had a wonderful food experience.

My friends and I were visiting Nottingham for the weekend and we were very glad we tried this new restaurant. We tried eveything but one on the menu and shared them and we enjoyed every dish. The service was great too and there was a very calm atmosphere to it. I would recommend sharing a variety of dishes as some were too large or small for one person. We hope to come back soon!
K. A.
Amazing! I will definitely be back. We had the meat platter, camembert and teriyaki tofu all very tasty and full of flavour.
K. D.
The food at No.12 is absolutely fantastic! Whether you're vegan, vegetarian or not, you cannot fault the quality of the dishes! All the staff are so friendly and Lauren and Ritchie have built a fantastic business, and brought exquisite plant based food to a larger audience. Thoroughly recommend!
I. “. W.
Amazing new menu, nice vegetarian and vegan little cafe.own by vegans who know how to cook and always listening customers.well done.love breakfast at yours!
J. M.
Beautiful vegetarian and vegan food served in a beautiful space. The staff are extremely accommodating, and it is great to see a small independent business growing and thriving. Go here if you want a top quality experience.
K. S.
Wish I'd got a picture of the mouthwatering Vegan French toast with raspberry compote: demolished.
Despite brunch being filling, I had to try a cake, as they were *all* vegan!
The chocolate double layered along and ganache ended up being lunch.
Delicious.
Fantastic service, well worth the wander off the busy circuit.
m. i.
Had the most amazing lunch here. Superb service and I love that most things can be made vegan. Super informative about allergy risks, and the cake is worth a visit on it's own merit. Can't forget about the wonderful staff. Do not skip out on a visit to this place!!!
M. T.
Great variety of vegan food. The Camembert was better than the real thing.
I'm not even vegetarian and I would still come back.
A. P.
Just had a beautiful brunch at No. Twelve! Wonderful service and great food. I had the french toast and my friend had the stack... both delicious. The new place looks fantastic. It was busy, which was fab to see but not too busy for the staff to continue with the great attentive service. We'll definitely be back. Well done Ritchie and Lauren xx
L. F.
Amazing food and amazing staff! Lauren and Ritchie are so friendly and the food / coffee are always perfect. My partner has a severe dairy allergy and he's never had a problem here as they're so careful. Highly recommend this place to veggies and non-veggies, is definitely my favourite cafe in Notts.
K. S.
Absolutely lovely place to eat! So cute and nicely decorated inside, everything is well thought out. Food was not only beautifully decorated but tasted great too. Staff were really lovely and very polite. Will definitely go back again! Glad we found it :)
A. L.
Had brunch here on 17th April, 5 of us went. Only one of us is vegan but we decided to pitch in. Are we glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were great and we really enjoyed it! The fake off breakfast, whether veggie or vegan, was the best we have ever eaten, even the one vegan-sceptic in our party was impressed. Well worth a visit and not expensive either. Thanks for a great brunch!!
G. M. S.
One of the nicest food experiences I've had in Nottingham. Amazingly inventive and tasty vegetarian and vegan dishes mixed with their homemade soda and lovely staff make for an amazing combination. Looking forward to visiting the place many times more, as it felt like home.
R. C.
An all-round excellent establishment. The food ("Bacon and Eggs") was delicious, well-presented and very reasonably priced. I also had two fantastic beetroot lattes (my server recommended having them made with coconut milk, which turned out to be a great suggestion). The complimentary carafe of still water was a nice touch too. The service was polite and friendly, and the cafe itself had a comfortable, homely feel. I was only passing through Nottingham, but when I am next there I'll make a point of going to No. 12. It gave me as good a lunch experience as I could have hoped for.
n. n.
Really impressed with this place! The price for the meals are so reasonable and the food was tasty, I wanted to try everything from the brunch menu. Also they made me an AMAZING oat hot chocolate drink!
Will definitely be back again to try more of their menu!
J. M.
Very friendly staff and delicious food. 100% vegetarian and vegan.
N. H.
One of the best veggie breakfasts I've had, and my niece had a vegan breakfast that she said was the best vegan breakfast she'd ever had. Hot drinks were both lovely, coffee was rich and flavourful without being bitter. Thank you!
S. C.
Very nice and lovely staffs, nice vegan foods. 😊
L. C.
Very popular little place. Homey feel. The two staff that day were very polite and hard working. Amazing options for vegan and vegetarian that were filling and tasted delicious. We will definitely be back once the new store opens next month!

Delicious food and great coffee x
Gonna be one of my favourite restaurant in Nottingham x
N. M.
Not sure what to call a meal at 3pm on a Sunday - let's say afternoon brunch. Anyway it was delicious, excellent value, good but unobtrusive service, & well organised re Covid. We'll be back again. the ambience is lovely, the drinks are tasty and the food is absolutely delicious. I’ll be thinking about it for days 🤤
C. F.
Their vegan "bacon and eggs" has to be tried. Awesome selection of interesting vegan and vegetarian dishes, beautifully presented. Really friendly service. The coffee is incredible too (Outpost 👌). Thoroughly recommend.
A. G. /. N.
So glad I popped in for lunch, will definitely be back! As a meat eater, flavour is what I miss in some veggie and vegan food...100% not the case at this cafe!! My open heritage tomato sandwich with all the trimmings was the perfect balance of flavours, absolutely no need for meat when veggie food tastes this good and the added bonus is it's better for me 💚
d. m.
Absolutely wonderful place, fully vegetarian, and every item on the menu can be made vegan, not just by skipping non vegan things, as it is the sad case in most places, but by actually offering vegan alternatives! Yay! We have had breakfast here for two days in a row now, and every time the food served was delicious, beautifully presented and the staff is really friendly! I'll definitely pop in whenever I'm in Nottingham!

Very taisty vegan meals, coffee to die for and very freindly staff. A very pleasant experience.
V. B.
The vegan desserts here are amazing! Service is pretty good too but the downside is finding a dish that isn't fake meat or fake egg for us vegans who abstain from eating anything that tastes remotely like animal flesh.
E. E.
Amazing Vegan experience! Beautiful restaurant, great service and good wine and drinks too.
R. H.
Without doubt the best lunch I've ever had! I was actually smiling and laughing through my (vegan) bacon, avocado and egg on toast. Pretty sure that's never happened before. My new favourite place in Nottingham, for sure!
B. H.
Brilliant little place with great coffee, cakes, food and drinks. Exposed brick with tasteful furniture.
Lovely service with a smile and so many vegan and vegetarian options I couldn't handle having choice again 😅
Will stop by whenever I'm up here.

The brunch menu had some great options and I chose the “chicken” and chips. The “chicken” was made with marinated soy protein with a breadcrumb coating and arrived with thick cut chips and a slaw. I finished with a lemon thyme cake which was divine.

Spent a lovely lunchtime eating fabulous vegan/vegetarian food with my daughter. So thrilled with the vegan bacon!! What gorgeous, tasty, mouthwatering fresh food. A 'must visit' little treasure. Thankyou so much.
C. S.
Fantastic food, little faster plates, order like tapas, but make sure you have the asparagus (while it's in season) - it's gorgeous
L. b.
Plenty of delish vegan/vegetarian options. Do a wide range of non dairy milks. The best vegan food ive ever had with generous portions as a decent price. All vegan cakes with gluten free options available
A.
A cosy little place with super friendly staff and a selection of yummy meat free treats. The open sandwiches here are delicious and the desserts looked a treat (although I didn't get to try any). Enjoy a magazine while you wait for your food, too - there's a wide selection of them!
S. T.
Loved the faken breakfast. Enjoyed it so much we will be back.
C. H.

Grandparents brought me here for my birthday, the whole family had vegan sunday lunch - it was bloody lovely! Only downside was I couldnt eat the pigs-in-blankets because they tasted too real 😅 thumbs up from everyone 🤗🤗
P. O.
The food here is delicious - I am not a vegetarian or vegan but would happily eat this every day. Service is very good too - the owners obviously love what they do 😍
R. C.
At last a vegan restaurant serving amazing rustic, tasty food. Good hearty portions and friendly, informative service with a smile. I would give 6 🌟 if I could! And my daughter (aged 5) loved it.
I. H.
This is such a hidden gem in Nottingham! Amazing vegetarian and vegan dishes, with their own home-cured 'meats'!! The owners are lovely, the food is delicious and the place is so cute - highly recommend!

Bit pricey for us. What we had was nice but portions tiny and not really price friendly.
J. L.
Excellent food every time, wonderful space to eat, friendly and outstanding service and a wonderful collection of spoons.
At writing this I have visited 5 times so far, and look forward to my next visit.
It is now my favourite place to eat in Nottingham.

Not quite had everything on the menu but it's all equally as delicious. Can't think of anywhere better for veggies in the city. Also serving outpost coffee which is one of the best 👍🏻

An amazing fully vegan restaurant. You must try them out. You will love it x

If your a veggie or not, No 12 Hounds Gate is certainly one to try.
Our first time there but not our last.
As the restaurant is quite small, you may need to wait a few mins.
Pricing is very reasonable
See you soon ...

I had the fried 'chicken' and the choc orange Coco cheesecake. Both amazing, the cheesecake (which is suitable for vegans) was possibly the best cheesecake I've ever had!

I had a pleasure to visit no 12 hounds gate yesterday and I can’t stop thinking about their chianti! I think I’m addicted lol but it all seriousness The fact that the junk food “restaurant” next door was empty when no 12 was full says it all. Highly recommend to everyone! It’s officially my new favourite place in Notts
