Staff amazing and very attentive would advise booking or going early evening as the tables did fill very quickly I can see why the food was amazing!! Very knowledgeable staff however we ordered too much food! Staff were happy to put left overs in a doggy back to take home for supper just amazing!
A. W.Amazing food and right beside the river trent. Orderd the chicken balti, and a pilau rice, pakora, butter chicken and by far the best balti we had in years. Cheese nan was amazing and one of the tastiest Indians we had in Nottingham. Pickle tray and poppadoms very fresh. Great location, the staff were lovely and we will definitely be back, highly recommended.

Probably one of the best curries I've had on my travels including India.
I get it's hit and miss with the spice chef but Mothers curry was sublime!!

One small criticism, the selfish vapour users insistent on smoking kept getting up and opening the fire doors letting in freezing cold air. Not so pleasant for people sat near the doors.

Has a beer drinker, I am I'm afraid as is happening in many places,the choices of beer is rank! All they offer is nasty mass produces larger. There's a great choice of wines, of cocktails, ciders and spirits but when it comes to beer one choice, larger. Nasty tasteless larger. Why? They say to me "it's the only thing that sells" . It's the only thing you sell, that's why! We need to up the game and drink good beer not nasty larger.... come on. It's swill.

First class food and generous portions. We were all more than impressed. Criticism? Well, maybe the potato pieces were a little large but hey, if that's all I can find to whinge about they are doing pretty well. Happy to give 5 stars !
P. S.After a really difficult week we decided to go out for a meal. We hadn't been to the bridge and bay leaf for more than 5 years and thought we'd give it a go.
Right from the moment you walked in the service was warm and welcoming and continued right to the end.
The food didn't disappoint either - and they wrapped up our leftovers for us to take away.
It was so delightful to finish off our meal on the terrace drinking our mango drink.
It's certainly not going to be 5 years til we go again.
T. R.Food is always great - Delivery is always horrendous! Last few times we’ve had delivery from here it’s been 30 mins + Late. If your eating from here, then it’s best to go into the restaurant and eat and not order a delivery.

M. K.I had a terrible experience. Put in an order at 7 pm for a Just Eat Delivery. Waited over two hours and called the restaurant multiple times. Kept saying they were very busy and the driver was on his way.
Having said that, the food, when it eventually arrived, was good. They need to be much better organized and refuse orders if they cannot deliver on time rather then make people wait so long.

Draught beer was very poor. Got to be the most expensive Indian meal we've ever had. Won't be going there again.

I. a. w. I. a. s. I. a.Been coming to bridge and bayleaf for the last 4 years. Indian food is one of my favourite foods and this was a nice restaurant/take out I've been to around my area. Very friendly staff, good quality and good portion sizes and cheap in prices. Restaurant is very clean and presentable. I would recommend.
J. K.We ordered a meal for delivery to Lowdham through Just Eat and were expecting delivery an hour after the time ordered. We had to chase up what happened to the order when it was 30 mins late and we’re told it was because they were very busy.
Once we started eating the food, we could tell why. It was outstanding! Not at all oily, bags of flavour and a gently building heat that you only get with quality spices. Lesson learned... order early! It’s well worth the wait.
B. H.Beautiful food, but service was very slow. I understand it must be difficult getting back into the swing of things since lockdown but maybe the restaurant was a little over crowded considering the times we are in. Nevertheless as I said the food was spot on!

More or less any Indian dish you can think of will be on the menu and even if it isn't just ask the owner Aky and the chefs might be able to make what you want from scratch!! Awesome selection of drinks and great delivery service too! Great for a big group, small group or a romantic dinner for 2!

S. “. B.I had a beautiful meal at the Bridge & Bayleaf earlier this year before lockdown, and I have been craving the food ever since. For my starter, I chose the B&B kebab - gorgeous tender lamb with tandoori sauce - a truly melt in the mouth moment. For my main, I had the Goan Fish Curry with fluffy Pilau Rice and Mushroom Bhaji and a delightful Chilli Naan. For me this was a fantastic combination - succulent flavoursome fish, cooked beautifully with the stronger flavours of the bhaji and bread giving some oomph. Everything was cooked to perfection - and the whole experience was hard to beat. I have been brought up eating rice and curry as part of a Sri Lankan family and I am very particular about the flavours, as well as the heat of my eastern cuisine. Bridge & Bayleaf smashed it. The restaurant is warm and welcoming, the menu is varied with plenty of choice, not so big that you are overwhelmed with what to choose and the service was impeccable. I have recently discovered that Bridge & Bayleaf are concentrating on the take-away side of their business during lock-down, so I'm getting ready to place my next order! This restaurant is totally worth the drive to experience their excellent food and enjoy something that stands out amongst the others. Thoroughly enjoyed.

L. H.Favourite Indian restaurant by far. My fiancée and I have been many times in the past and food has always been fantastic with excellent customer service to match. The family that own the restaurant are always welcoming and keen to recommend a dish that you may not have tried before and cooked the way you like. Last time I tried the Dhesi (as recommended by the lovely Mrs. Khan) instead of my usual jalfrezi and I may well have found my new favourite curry! We will continue to dine here and continue to highly recommend The Bridge & Bayleaf to anyone looking for a truly wonderful dining experience.

J. C.Location amazing, decor imaginative, surroundings great as a meal can easily be part of a beautiful walk or a day out and the attempt to open for lunch praiseworthy. Staff are efficient and friendly and will very easily serve a large group. However, it is expensive, quantities miniscule and so there is question of value for money (a grill selection had a miniscue seekh kebab, a 50 pence sized tandoori chicken bite and a small onion bhaji). We did have an abbreviated menu made specially for lunch with just the regular dishes with no attempt to pus the boat out. The food is delicious (try the tarka dal, chilli cheese nan and tandoori prawns) and presented beautifully but the chef does need to reduce the red food colour he uses. The colour of the prawns, chicken tikka and chicken tikka masala make the soviet flag look positively anaemic. All in all, I would recommend the Bridge and Bayleaf. I think an evening meal there will be quite memorable.
