Nice place, attention to detail is needed and less impatient counter staff. Coffee was nice and young ladies were friendly. Didn't have a welcoming feel and as such we didn't spend more time there. Good location for passing trade also.

A fantastic place, one of the gems of the city. The sort of shop Nottingham needs more of if its to become the sort of place people want to visit. The knowledge, expertise and friendliness here are second to none.

Just dropped in for a snack. Lunches are limited at the moment, but had a salmon and cream cheese roll and tea. Well presented and tasted wonderful. Staff very friendly and attentive. Much better than a burger! Recommended for light snacks, or purchasing speciality foodstuffs, cheese, cakes etc.

Lovely staff, friendly and informative. I shouldn't encourage anyone to go there for the (albeit expensive) wonderful scotch eggs as they'll sell out even sooner and I'll never get my hands on them! Cheese lovers love this place but I adore the scotch eggs whether the 'ordinary' or the all day breakfast or the chilli or the black pudding covered.

Great little find but not easy to find if you don't know Nottingham. It has over 100 different cheeses and a great cafe, where they do a range of gluten free rolls and breads too. All the produce is locally sourced and very fresh, I had the rare beef with chutney and red onion on a granary roll and the roll was beautiful and soft and fresh, it's not cheap but you get the quality you would expect for the price you pay. Definitely will be there again

I love this place. My husband and I often visit here for lunch or just coffee and cake. Although the seating area is rather small, we always manage to find a table. The food is very fresh and all staff are helpful and very friendly. Much better than other chain type coffee shops. I would recommend anyone to try it.

I had a sandwich few times in here and it was always very very good! The 'panino' itself is cold as they can't make it hot, but it is delicious. The only thing I would change to get it perfect is the bread. With such a variety and quality of cheese, I would expect a better quality bread. Really good, recommended (specially at lunch)

Just arrived in Nottingham and wanted a quick lunch. After a bit of wandering we found The Cheese Shop. I treat cheese shops like book shops - I can browse for ages. Had a goats cheese and beetroot baguette which was very good. In spite of the distractions of cheese and deli items to look at service was quick so didn't spend too much time. An oasis.
