Amazing tasting food and amazing service. This restaurant is highly recommended. This is the first time we have visited but wow, really enjoyed every dish. Easy to park and friendly service. What more could you ask for?

I have had a few takeaways and a few sit down meals in here. The food is amazing. So well cooked, lovely flavours and generous sizes. So many dishes to explore. The staff are happy and friendly. A great experience and I would highly recommend.

Not sure why people are slating it so badly already. It’s a brand new restaurant that we need in Wollaton offering something different and they are bound to have teething issues. The manager is fantastic and friendly and the staff are really helpful and keen to do a good job and help. We went for lunch and had lamb pitta, feta salad and a chicken schnitzel pitta. Food came out quick, was lovely and fresh and tasted delicious. Well done, can’t wait to go back.

Tried out this restaurant in Bramcote Hillls yesterday with friends. We ordered our food etc . Two out the 3 meals arrived and were well presented. After 20 minutes we had eaten and our friends meal still hadn’t arrived. We asked twice were it was and was told quite irritatingly it was nearly ready. It eventually came out and it was a very small dish anyway so didn’t understand why it took so long .That was our experience yesterday at ZHUG..The prices are high but it’s a dinning experience not a cafe 😯

Came to visit last Tuesday for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Never thought i would like this sort of food but now i think ive been missing out this whole time. I tried the falafel pita and was an absolutely amazing combination of flavours. Staff were also very accommodating and nice. Overall would highly recommend and be back for more.

We are so lucky to have somewhere like this so close to home. The food is delicious, at a reasonable price and the team here are always friendly and hard working. On speaking to one of the team, they also have made the menu as inclusive as possible, so there is something here for many dietary requirements. I can't wait to take my friend's and family.

Family of 2 adults, a teen and a tween had a very enjoyable Saturday evening here. Wollaton has been crying out for a venue like this and it does not disappoint. Food, drinks and atmosphere were all excellent. Will definitely be returning. The food was excellent, highlights include: super soft, warm pita (need to know if I could just buy those!), silky smooth humus, the halloumi fries with pomegranate (kids even ate accompanying salad willingly as the sauce was delicious!!), the roasted cauliflower was quickly devoured (next time I may have that to myself rather than a sharing plate) and all the mains (gyros, schnitzel and lamb kebab) were well cooked and complimented by the sauces and salad. Would have been nice to be able to upgrade to sweet potato fries. The mains are large portion sizes so if you enjoy some sharing starters and don't have a huge appetite/younger child then the filled pita is a good alternative (I had this and was glad I did as I couldn't have managed the chips / rice on a main). The gin and wine options were good, beer was a bit limited but the IPA was very good I'm told. Tween had her 5-a-day in the strawberry cooler and mixed berry smoothie! Teen would be disappointed if I didn't commend the proprietors on their music selection which we all enjoyed. Staff were attentive but not over bearing. Lots of attention to detail on the plating of the food.

Really impressed by this place - had the falafel pita and not only was the food really, really tasty but the portion sizes were generous. Would definitely recommend. The service was really quick, too - we went in for lunch time and were in and out within 40 minutes.

Attended here for our evening meal. Served by the wonderful Terrance and drinks provided by the lovely Aviv behind the bar. Meals were perfection. Myself having grilled chicken schnitzel and my partner having Mediterranean gyros both with a side of fries and halloumi fries to share. Everything was cooked wonderfully and seasoned excellently. It arrived within 15 minutes too. The outside seating in the evening for this time of year is a wonderful addition. Cannot recommend enough will definitely be coming back!

Food was delish, servings (pita fillings) were generous, & the dude serving us was friendly yet professional. Was wondering whether to get the sweet potato fries or not. Am so glad I did!! Came across this as I was looking for somewhere to eat in Woolaton early Saturday evening. Place was just about empty when I went in, but by the time I left it was just about full with quite a buzzing atmosphere. I had the Trio starter, pitta with 3 dips and it was lovely. Actually ran out of pitta before the dips but they very kindly offered me more! Main course was chicken gyros abs that was superb. Took a little bit of time to get my food but that was only as it was cooked fresh, abs service was great and with a smile.. Will definitely go back if/when I’m in the area again to pick something else off the menu!

Fabulous service from Terence, Sudha and the team. Spot on and timely with all our orders despite us being a large group of 17 people. Food was amazing and so fresh and tasty! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We went for Sunday lunch with three little kids and were very impressed with all of our meals. Portion sizes are generous, service was great and the food was tasty. We had the lamb and chicken schnitzel pittas and the lamb kebab - everything was fresh and flavoursome (zhug sauce was awesome). We'll be back for sure.

Popped in for lunch, went for various vegi mezze dishes, lots of vegetarian food to choose from. Was quiet but fast service. Food was delicious. Place was nice too with good service from the staff. Decided to drop in and give Zhug a try as it's on my doorstep - lunch was light and lovely- mezze was tasty and very generous sized portions staff were so friendly and welcoming. Came again tonight to introduce a friend who is a Vegan - yet again staff were helpful friendly and catered to our diverse needs. Menu is small but portions sizes are more than generous and oh so tasty!! Food is fresh homemade and will deffinately be back again.

I had cheesy chicken pitta gyros which was really nice-just right for lunch. It’s not massive so if you’re hungry get the fries too. I tried my friends and they were delicious. Coffee was ok and service was excellent. Lovely chap!

Came here with my family last week, it was very cozy inside. The Mediterranean pita i had was amazing and very filling, also the halloumi pita also looked very nice. Staff were also very accommodating. Would recommend to go and try something new to Wollaton.

I visited this place couple of weeks ago for the first time. I was welcomed by friendly staff and was offered table straight away. Decor inside was lovely with lots of plants which I love! This place is lovely have been a few times now and the food is always fresh and well presented, the staff are friendly, the only minor criticism I would give is it's a little overpriced, I think they should look into this, example a side of fries is nearly £4 which is extortionate but otherwise nice place.

Nice cosy atmosphere though not very busy for a Saturday night. Limited menu but nicely cooked food. No dessert menu - or if there was one we weren't offered it. A bit pricey. More of a weekday evening "let's grab a bite to eat" than a 'proper' weekend evening out feel to the place. So close to a wine-bar feel but not quite managing it. Still early days as it is a relatively new venue, however it is owned and run by the same owner as the nearby Suda - so should be plenty of knowledge and experience as to what works well in the local area. Perhaps needs some competition in the area to push it along.

Wow! So impressed with the service and food at this new restaurant.. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive and food is AMAZING! I would highly recommend trying a dish with the Zhug sauce. The decor is very modern. I went with the kids and loved it but I will be going later this week for a date night to try their cocktails 😍

I’m really not sure what the bad reviews are about! The falafel and the bread was fo die for i’ve never had bread so nice! So fresh and soft, really good customer service. Healthy food options and the place is very clean. I think people need to realise this is a new business, so if theres teething problems so what! Support your local businesses! Also if i just had one recommendation to this place it would be to have a variety of options so as an example, something as simple as jacket potato, eggs benedict (for example)would go down well as its quite generic for those who are scared to try something new and would bring in more customers in my opinion

We don’t have a Central Perk, but we do have a Zhug. A great placed owned by a lovely lady and kind considerate staff like Aviv. A great array of simple food blended with sophistication. Try it and see for yourself.

Tried one of our local eateries. Tried to book online but came back no tables available however I did ring whilst waiting to hear back. Booked a table over the phone 7pm. Arrived just before 7. No table booked but the young chap who greeted us kindly found us a table for 2. Menu a mixture of meal in a pitta, tapas style sides or to order as a main. Grills. I chose the halloumi pitta with a side of fries. Side of pickles and olives. Husband chose Mediterranean Chicken with green Zhug dressing. Food was nice however the grill overly priced. I had a dessert which was very overly priced for a few scoops of ice-cream served over some crumbled meringues. Overall food was very tasty. Staff very polite and welcoming. Overall bill came to £47 which included a gin and lemonade and a draft IPA. Nice atmosphere, background music which is chilled. Just think they need to go back to the drawing board on a few bits and it will be spot on.

Mediterranean meze and grilled meat/veg. Very tasty food, quickly served and hot. Halloumi fries very good. Pita bread excellent, and the pita pockets are so delightful to hold and eat, like a delicious warm pillow. Would go back, was quiet at lunch, but I hope it gets busier in the evening, it deserves to do well. They also serve beer, wine and cocktails.
