Browns is a restaurant good for a visit to have lunch after walking around the campus. It is far enough away from the busy center of town and the interiors are cozy. Food was delicious, staff was courteous and attentive. Came back later the next day to treat my husband's brother's family and we all enjoyed our meal.

Tasty food but very slow service despite it not being busy. Lovely attentative waiting staff. Unfortunately quite a few of the food we ordered was not available and we weren't told until they were serving some if the hot food!

Slow service, if you get your order at all. Maybe it was covid. Quality of the food was generally good. Staff seemed to be rushed and flustered.

On the edge of the City Centre just on St Giles, this is a standard Brown's and you can rely on lovely surroundings and good quality produce. We just felt the staff were a little undirected; people seated quickly but thereafter waiters and waitresses all congregated around our behind the bar while customers seated waited for some attention. Nice tea!

Had the fillet and scallops, as well as the octopus and chorizo. The fillet was marvelous, and while the chorizo and octopus on their own were each lovely, I felt they didn't quite go together. The desserts were tasty -- we had the Browns trio and the apple crumble. The crumble came very hot and we were not warned, but once it cooled, it was good with the provided ginger ice cream. The creme brulee (part of the dessert trio) was a bit too sweet, but otherwise, the desserts were was superb. The atmosphere is very classy and the servers were very kind about replacing all our cutlery when one of our napkins got dirty. Service was impeccable -- a great experience all-around!

Amazing service, we were celebrating a 50th and they really took care of us. Cocktails were great, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were so polite and professional.

What a beautiful experience, at browns! Everything was perfect, great quality of food like always and great staff! I've ordered a steak with smashed potatoes! The stake was amazing, cooked perfectly, like how I like it! Also our waiter was really professional from the beginning up to the end. They understand if you need something without moving a finger!
