Overall really pleased with our visit to GLUT. I would recommend a visit. Great food, the dirty chicken burger was so good,portion sizes were decent and the chocolate milkshake was amazing! Price was reasonable/ standard I'd say. Only feedback I'd give is Staff need to improve their service skills (not so attentive). The waitress/manager/server sat staring at her phone most of the time and we had to chase the bill twice so that was disappointing. Also had to get our own cutlery and sauces! The venue definitely lacks character and needs back ground music. When we first arrived it was a bit echoey, lonely and warehouse like but as soon as more people arrived it became a bit more comfortable and atmospheric. Aside of that I would definitely visit again because the food alone was so good and tasty.

Visited GLUT on Saturday evening with friends and had the most incredible meal! The food was cooked perfectly and the gluten free options were clearly explained to me , and were delicious. The restaurant boasts a great cocktail menu and choice of burgers/sides and even puddings to suit all. My husband particularly enjoyed the dirty fries as they had fried chicken on top as standard. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a good feed up!

Insane. First visited Oxford in January with a mate and we had been told to go to Glut by someone who recommended. We went 3 times in 3 days. First impressions were high as the artwork is something that makes this place worth visiting from the outset. The decor was so impressive that we knew the food was gonna be amazing. And we were right, the burgers were incredible, fries were BIG, Korean wings were unreal and I've been dreaming of the creamed corn since. Went back last weekend to see if it could live up to the first time and it definitely did that and more. Would highly recommend if your passing anywhere nearby or willing to travel for, hands down, the best nashville chicken burger you will ever eat for a lower price than you'd pay for some of the worst.

Best Plant Burger! - Overall good dining experience , order at the bar, grab your own sauces, very nice chilled atmosphere, only 1 waitress to manage the whole thing on a Tuesday she looks exhausted but great service. Seems like a hands only eating style as couldn’t find any cutlery. Recommend the burgers for sure!

As an unapologetic fan of burgers - the dirty cheese burger ticked off the list for deliciousness. The beef was tender, the cheese was generous and the bun was fresh. The Korean wings were sticky and sweet (not particularly my fave because I’m more of a heat person but my friends who isn’t, enjoyed it - so yeah). The fries were really good The service was good and the waiter was quite attentive and polite - Despite being the only one, she manned our table alongside others with a warm smile Not really a fan of the interior decor and construct, kinda looks like a warehouse to me. It was a bit echoey and just amplified other peoples’ voices and laughters (which was a wee bit annoying for me)- but if you’re able to overlook that, then you’ll really find everything else quite pleasing! Maybe I’ll just do a take-out next time

Really excellent food. As others have mentioned the sinful fries are good for two people, and are top tier. I would also recommend the fried pickles. The burger was one of the best I've ever had - the right balance of well-cooked patty, toppings, and tasty burger sauce. Service by jake was good too. Will be coming again in the future.

Great flavour on the burger, but small portion. Fries are regular, you can get these anywhere. There was a problem with the payment: the card terminals were not working as there was no reception so had to go out to get some money to be able to pay.

This place is outstanding. My boyfriend surprised me by taking me here for my birthday and I was not disappointed. It’s a simplified menu but you don’t need more as the quality of this food is amazing! The burger was cooked to perfection and don’t even get me started on the buffalo chicken poppers.. they were to die for 🔥 our server Romeo was rushed off his feet and kept apologising to us but he didn’t need to at all as it was worth the wait (although, saying that, we didn’t have to wait long!). He was always smiling and just an absolute star!

Sometimes burger restaurants forget the basics. Huge burgers loads of toppings that are impossible to eat. This place is different the menu is pretty simple to be honest but I think they master the art of making a simple burger taste great. I had the dirty cheese burger it tasted superb loads of flavour cooked perfectly and the right size so you could actually pick it up and eat it. The sides are equally in incredible I had the dirty fries and they were superb. Topped off with a friendly host called Jake we had a great dining experience. Will definitely make a return visit.

Family dinner out at 6pm on a Saturday. They were fine with us parking the buggy right next to our table. Totally empty when we arrived, but by the time we left there were maybe 20-30 other diners. Menu is via a Google Drive link on a QR code on the table. Service was lighting quick, everything cooked nicely (choice of medium/well done on burgers) and well seasoned. Might be a bit on the salty side for children. Recommend trying the deep fried pickles!

Fantastic food. I ordered the nashville spicy chicken sandwhich and it did not disappoint, the chicken was crispy and the sauce was phenomenal. The fries were hot and crispy and had some flavour. My wife had the basic chicken sandwich and really enjoyed it. Service was quick. Restaurant was clean, and the ambience was amazing. We will definetly come back again. Jake was our server and he was fantastic.

Disappointed, I didn't feel it lived up to the hype, the chicken burger I had looked impressive but was lacking in flavour, my wife's falafel burger was cold and advertised as having 3 patties but only had two but perhaps we were being over judgemental because we had been waiting 50 minutes for two burgers! The artwork in the building is impressive but the atmosphere was that of a school canteen and I'm not surprised they were only one third full at peak trading time on a Saturday as from outside there is hardly any signage other than a bar sign in the window half of which doesn't light up and from a distance it looked closed.

Visited on a Friday night as a goruo of 6. The staff were all friendly and attentive, and we were served quickly. The menu wasn't particularly bursting with choice, but we all found something to eat, and it included gluten free and vegetarian options. I got the dirty cheeseburger, which tasted OK, and the standard fries were also well-seasoned. The main drawback was that it closed at 10pm (early for a Friday, but maybe I'm just used to London!). Overall, I'd visit again if I was desperate, but didn't feel this place was anything to get too excited about.

Your average burger place. My burger (vegan) was fine, however my friend’s chicken burger was undercooked. If you’re hungry and want a burger, and are not a fan of the burger chains, stop by, and you’ll find something. However, there are better independent restaurants around Oxford if you’re okay with a different cuisine.

We went in the morning 15 minutes after they opened, we were quickly approached by I would guess the manager and they seated us and let us order drinks. The beer was great and soon after we ordered our food, it came in pretty good time. The only downside was for some reason the fries on the sinful fries were pretty cold which was a big disappointment as everything above the fries was great. Our burgers were all great but again not the warmest, so thats the only tip I coukd give. But I will definitely be back soon as I still really enjoyed the menu.

I was in Oxford with my mate as we'd a 'driving experience'. We went to Glut in the evening as we both love a good burger. The place was a little empty when we arrived, around 7pm on a Thursday, but it didn't really bother us although, if you didn't know, you may wonder why, I certainly did after eating. The menu is fairly simply but it doesn't matter if it's done well which, this is. The burgers are absolutely gorgeous; fries are a little standard but, hey! My only negative is that the corridor to the toilets and the WC itself were both pretty grubby with bin bags lying about (in the corridor) and generally appearing as though a bit of cleaner wouldn't go amiss. If it wasn't for that, I'd have definitely given 5 stars. That said, I'd certainly go again.

I've been trying all of the burger places in Oxford since moving and Glut is arguably one of the much better ones! I had the Dirty Cheese and Sinful Fries, pictured. The burger was a good hand-held size that was filling but not gluttonous, stacked but not messy and packing some good flavours. The fries were a good portion size for two, the fries themselves were standard but the chicken gets a special shout-out. The venue is quite large and following Covid procedures upon entry. My server was incredibly welcoming and friendly, which almade the experience nicer.

The food was nice! Service was a bit wierd; slow and the staff seemed almost confused as to what to do. The place however seems super run down and is dirty. The bar was really messy and cluttered, the table was clean but the seats were dirty with dust and crumbs, the toilets were very run down and dirty. For the price I'd expect a bit more comfort.

As a veggie who has been missing a decent burger for a long time I was blown away about how great the dirty plant burger was!! It's definitely the best veggie burger I've ever had! The Beyond Meat burger is amazing, but everything else Glut has sandwiched it in is great too, the fries are great, I enjoyed my pint... Love it. Ate a Glut during a visit to Oxford whilst on holiday. Had been craving burgers and these looked really good, and the place was rated on TripAdvisor. Booking wasn't the easiest. There is no contact or booking information on the website. Tried phoning them with the number on Google but no answer. Ended up hunting down their Facebook page and sending them a message. Got an automated reply telling me how to book. No one confirmed my booking, so had to ring on the day to book. Thankfully they weren't fully booked, but had no knowledge of my other attempts to get in contact. The food was really, really good. I ordered a Dirty Cheese with added blue cheese sauce (definitely recommend that, it was so good!) and a side of Sinful Fries. The fires were massive, enough to share between 2 people. The burgers were very tasty. I also got a salted caramel cookie for dessert which tasted amazing. I would really recommend checking this place out because I was really impressed with the food, but a suggestion to the owners: You need to update your website and make it easier for people to book! The menu wasn't up to date and there was no contact information on the website, thankfully you have set up a Google My Business listing otherwise I would have ended up eating elsewhere.

I have a wife and child so words like ‘alone’, ‘quiet’ and ‘solitude’ have slowly drifted from my vocabulary the last few years. I came in here by chance, looking for somewhere to eat after picking up a parcel in the city centre - gbk and Byron too expensive, McDonalds too childish. Sweet lord this place hits the sweet spot in the middle. They could have served and brick in a bun and a handful of gravel and i would have been happy but it was genuinely delish. Cheeseburger just the right amount of greasy, thick burger, good bun. Fries crisp, salty and super hot. Beer cold. Place was packed but I felt like I was in a bubble of wife free child free burger fuelled ecstacy. Glut you will forever hold a place in my heart. For my 45 minutes of freedom - thankyou.

Wow! This is a burger a restaurant. I had a chicken burger, slight spice, maximum flavour smash. Good fries. Unbelievable corned cream - I mean, creamed corn. Never even heard of creamed corn but it tasted lush. Service was swank. Staff were seamless and not the slightest bit reticent. The chef clearly know burgers - I ordered one and it arrived. I ate it hungrily. My friends with me in the restaurant were shocked at how quickly I ate it. Yep, barely touched the sides. Dirty plant burgers were actually quite clean. Impeccable place. I've been to many vegan-friendly restaurants but Glut has maintained it's number 1 status. The restaurant is artfully decorated with some booths spanning the walls of the interior. The staff are very friendly and efficient. However, the element that makes me coming back is the chef's magic! What is in those vegan burgers? So delicious and satisfying. Plus, the fact that they have Hells craft beer is the cherry...! This is a fantastic vegan-friendly eatery that I recommend.

Myself and a mate have burger and beer nights once a month or so. We’ve been to various places around Oxford. This place though knocks it out the park. The menu doesn’t look much compared to others around but there is an art in making what is a fairly simple burger taste just amazing and here they really do that. They taste so good you don’t miss all the extra stuff you’d get elsewhere. Also the sinful fried are a true game changer.

I realised once I’d ordered that I’d forgotten something in my hotel room that I’d need to go back for and, subsequently, would have no time to eat in the shop. Absolutely the best meal I’ve ever had. Ordered a cheeseburger and a chicken burger, with fries and chicken poppers. Both burgers were perfection, with the right ratio of each ingredient and sauce etc. Chicken poppers were brilliant and honey mustard tasted so good. Would 1000% recommend to others and will definitely be coming back.

Tried this place after stopping over in Oxford for one night on way back from the south coast. Saw the good reviews and thought about checking it out after passing the place on the open top bus tour. The interior has some great art work, quite surreal but good. The food is amazing. I had a Dirty Cheese and it was one of the best burgers I have eaten. The fries are enough for two people to share. Fast service and reasonable prices too. I highly recommend this place.

I had a double patty dirty cheese with fries, and a chocolate orange cookie dough later on. I found the patties too salty, the beefy fatty flavour was there for sure. The cookie dough dessert is not worth £6, it didn't taste of cookie dough and the chocolate was essentially half a segment of terry's chocolate orange. The service was great, our waitress (apologies I don't remember her name, but I know she is studying chemistry) was polite and apologetic due to being a busy night (Euros final), no problems there.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed GLUT previously. Easily the best burgers I've found in Oxford. Most burgers I've tried in the UK really seem to lack flavour, but here the burger meat is juicy and flavoursome, then you add the sauces on top - fantastic! The dirty burger might be a little on the small side, but super delicious, while the dirty chicken is mouthwateringly tasty and fills your hand nicely. Highly recommended. And I haven't even mentioned the pickles or shakes...

The 'sharing' crock pots are definitely not meant for sharing, and the 'sourdough' bread was a small white bread roll, similar to the part baked rolls you get in supermarkets. The service was pretty slow, even though we were only one of about three groups in there. We visited tonight (a quiet Saturday evening) and as we walked through the door we were asked to sanitise and scan the app and a table was suggested to us, all fine. We sat at our table and the waiter didn’t follow us over to properly welcome us or explain how to order (QR code) etc. We figured it out ourselves and then sat waiting for him to come back and take our order- an incorrect drink was then brought over. It was not a busy night but the 3 staff on shift seemed bored and not very proactive at all- other tables also seemed unimpressed (asking where their drinks were, dirty plates left on table). When our food came, we had to ask for sauce, cutlery and napkins- all things that I think should be offered automatically. It’s such a shame to have had this experience because the food was decent but service means so much and we felt let down by that.

Had a really great meal here yesterday, Saturday 11th May. I had the dirty burger and it was really quite lovely. My wife had the dirty chicken burger and she had nothing but good things to say, particularly about the pickles! We shared some loaded fries with chicken bits on them and they really were outstanding - fresh and thin, well-sauced and crispy. A friend had one of the crock pots and said it was amazing. 5/5. This is more than just a great burger joint! This place has brought something truly unique to Oxford. The artwork, music and overall vibe is like nothing I’ve experienced before. Great menu options too - stick to your standard cheeseburger and fries or try something different with deep fried pickles/ artichoke and spinach crockpots/falafel burger etc….already been back a few times with something different each time and never failed to impress. They’ve even got oreo pancakes for dessert which I might try on my next visit. My only concern is that once word gets round there’s going to be an hour queue just to get a seat!!

Enjoyed this new restaurant founded and run by a local - takes some of the best elements of a number of chains; the menu style of the breakfast club, the bottomless soft drinks of Nando's, and the aesthetic and burger-focus of Byron. By no means the "best" burger in town. Try the rusty bicycle for that. Fries where too salty. The fried pickles where only 5 pieces. The burger was average. It wasn't bad but I think a 5-start average is overrated.
