One of the best Bergers I have ever had. Great service, food arrived very fast. Nice atmosphere, feels like a proper dinner. Side were really good, specially the onion rings. Limited option for beers though.

Best. Burgers. In the UK! And chicken too! And vegan burgers too! No, seriously! You can't go wrong with anything you order here. Top marks for the Loaded Burger. I mean, who knew slapping some bourbon BBQ brisket on top of a burger with some crispy onions was going to be so delicious? Absolutely amazing! My wife loved her "naked" chicken. Our daughter's favorite is the Classic Vegan burger. And our SIL always orders the the GBK Cheese & Bacon burger. I also recommend the tater tots... especially the Black Garlic tots. And don't forget to order yourself a shake. My favorite is the Flaked Chocolate & Bourbon shake. We found the service to be friendly, helpful, and attentive. And ordering is easy with their app! We love GBK....

First time at GBK after hearing positive things from a few friends. And I must say they didn't disappoint. Although authentically the food does leave you wanting a but more, flavour wise the meal was very good. But as good as the food was the customer service was excellent, none more so than the delightful manager "ola" who was thoughtful and very helpful especially when offering suggestions and helping us find alternatives on the menu for halal options. Will return for sure!

Went late at night and the service was pretty quick. The staff seemed friendly and the food was really good. I had the taxi driver beef burger and it was so huge but delicious. The price is decent for a place that does good burgers so it’s definitely not on the cheapest side. The chicken is halal here as well so accommodates to quite a bit of people.

Haven’t reviewed anywhere in a while and what a great place to get back into Google Maps reviews. Paid £27 for 2 burgers 🍔 + 2 fries 🍟 + pint + half pint of San Miguel. Good deal, central oxford. Must give a shout-out to our waiter who was top class. Great customer service and attentive. Fast service, clean tables and yummy food. I must say the skinny fries are great, don’t find fries like these. Would recommend and will be back. Thank you GBK

The ultimate burger champion in Oxford - GBK never disappoints. From their sides, try the truffle cheese fried, the onion rings, or truffle cheese tater tots - the menu has been largely expanded in the past month so be sure to keep your eyes out for new starters options. I usually go for their beef burgers (not a fan of chicken burgers personally, but that’s not to say theirs are bad) and would especially recommend: The Blue Cheese, The RocketMan and the Mighty. The Mighty features two burger patties so it’s a good choice if you’re feeling extra hungry and in need of protein, but in normal conditions I always find it to be a bit too much. Recently I’ve also tried their Loaded burger - it was delicious, though I found the addition of extra beef with BBQ sauce a bit unusual. If you are eating in it really pays off to get their Fizz drink which is refillable while you’re there and a very refreshing addition to the meal. Best one is the Strawberry Elderflower, though the classic Lemonade is not bad too (do not make the mistake of going for the Vanilla Passion Fruit, it tastes very artificial). Between eating in and take away I would always go for eating in - when getting the food for takeout somehow the bottom burger bun always becomes overly soggy from all the juices and while some people like this I frankly find it disgusting. Be sure to make use of their student discount or the limited offer Twice as Nice deal (2 burgers and 2 fries for £20)! The staff is delightful over the phone and in person, special shoutout to Deborah from the George Street store who always takes extra care with the orders ❤️ Overall a great place for the classic burger and fries meal, definitely among the top in Oxford, and you can get a big meal for a good price if you do the student discount.

GBK is a burger chain in the UK. We stumbled upon a lot of them during our time there, but only tried this one out. As the name implies, this is a burger joint! But you can also get some chicken products and fancy milkshakes. The insides seem to always be nicely decorated if you like modern style decor, which I do. They can accommodate large parties fairly easily. Personally, I remember my burger being kind of dry and not tasting super spectacular. That being said, I enjoyed their skinny fries and especially enjoyed the boozy milkshake I tried. They have a pretty large selection of beer and spirits, so if you're looking to have a drink with pals, this is a solid enough option.

I had the Beyond Meat Vegan burger here, and it was really really good. I had low expectations for a mock meat product but (after adding a LOT of hot sauce) it tasted every bit as burgery as I could have ever wanted, and halloumi fries and salted caramel milkshake helped fill me up! The ambience was lovely, if a bit quiet thanks to COVID-19 restrictions. The servers were helpful and calm as I asked them question after question about spice level - which I appreciate hugely!

I have been coming here for a good 5 years and it has always been amazing. The best burger you can get, and my many friends that I've taken over the years would agree too. Easy friendly place to eat, very relaxed, you pay at the start and just get to eat your meal and leave when you want to. Fast service and friendly staff, and most important of all BEAUTIFUL FOOD. Every burger I've had has been gorgeous, I always have one of the many beef burgers but my partner likes the chicken ones. The combinations as so tasty and if you go bunless the salad is gorgeous. And the skinny fries are a must get. I could go on... :D Basically just go and find out for yourself, 10/10 would (and do!) recommend.

Decent sit-down burger restaurant with some quirky options. One of the many burger serving places on George Street, GBK is somewhat different by getting you to fill in a form of your menu choices and take it to the bar to order and pay. Burger options are interesting, try the one with an egg on it, it was superb. Fries have options and they serve a few beers as well as the standard Coke family soft drinks. Breezy friendly service, tables are closely packed so probably not suitable for prams and young families. I've been a few times and will go again when I'm next in that part of town and wanting a simple, reliable and tasty meal.

Really nice burger, very friendly and attentive staff, the restaurant is slightly crammed in and not very spacious so you do have to breath in when going to the toilet or to the counter. They only have two toilets which can create a que quite quickly. It is a little pricey for a burger but tastes great.

Amazing amazing burgers! 😍😋 I had 3 meals there with a friend, and tried different burgers for each meal. Brilliant burgers! Though the menu isn't as extensive, whatever's on there is worth the price. I really loved the japanese panko style chicken. Range of good beers to go with your burgers too. They had good offers on jaegerbombs when I had been there. The place was pretty crowded on Saturday night, but we still found place to be seated.

I tried using their app to invite a friend and get a free side but I was informed that they're making a new app because the current one had problems, and it didn't work. They did have a good offer for students so overall I was satisfied but since the food wasn't anything amazing, I'm not sure if I'll be coming back.

I have been to a few GBK, the service and welcome is better than my regular in Windsor. For some reason the the food tasted better also. One downside is the view, i would avoid sitting next to the window as you'll have a large queue of people staring at you whilst waiting for the bus every 10 mins.

Food was lovely both times I've eaten at a GBK I have never been disappointed. Quick and easy to order. Similar to Nandos as you have to pay at the tills they then bring your food and drinks over to the table. They do then ask if you need any more drinks which you then pay at your table. Unfortunately we sat next to a table of 8 students they were very loud and inconsiderate when getting up from their table and barging past my partner. Very busy but I didn't expect anything less as it was a Friday evening. The staff coped well and were very friendly towards us.

Was actually pretty good. Interior design is an abysmal in my opinion. Food was quite good but really basic. Hmm I guess burgers are basic, so I guess thats why I was surpised it wasnt perfect. Yoh expect junk from mcdonalds but a company called gourmet burger kitchen youd expect a little more in quality of meat. I am a big meat fan, so can easily tell the quality. It was good. But certainly nit excellent. Service was average on all but one occasion where it was fantastic, hence pushing this to 4 star.

Skinny chips were size 0. Not bad, but not right. Go to Byron next door instead.

Walk-in, unreserved party of 6 got seated in less than 10 mins, ordered while we waited. Food is exceptional and plenty of it!
