I have tried a few Jamaican places in Oxford. But let me TELL YOU!!! Their food was like the heaven flavours having a mini dance in my mouth. It by far one of the tastiest places I have been to. I have had the kind prawn dish and it was amazing. like the food was not amazing enough ( happy enough to make me do the food dance and put me in an amazing mood for the day). The baba bread desert is also amazing. We waiting a bit for our food but it is really worth waiting for. Drinks were very good as well and the staff there very friendly and nice. Will come again ☺️

This was my best dining experience in Oxford. Please visit if you want a great dining experience and very well crafted drinks! Be sure to make reservations because they fill up quickly.

Really tasty food, cooked to perfection, and with the perfect amount of spice.
However, the portions are quite small, especially compared to the price. The service was fairly minimal as well.

Great experience. Warm welcome and hosting, cosy atmosphere. The food is divine, can taste the freshness, artistically put together dishes. Excellent vegan options too. (Must remember to get a bag of festivals to go next time). Thank you!

You don’t get much decent Caribbean restaurants around, especially coming from London. Upon stumbling on this establishment, I was positively surprised. There was a lack of space, but was somewhat cosy. The food was very nice up-marketing the standard Jamaican food. Starters tasted how they should, however there was a chicken bone that slipped into the spring rolls which is a big red flag and chef should check thoroughly for this before preparing the spring rolls. Jerk chicken had a slight kick which was good and presentation was top notch. I did feel the cocktails were way too overpriced. Decided to just stick to one for the whole night which was a shame. Needs a few tweaks to be a 5 star place.

Wow…..just wow! Food was amazing, best Jamaican food in Oxford. My wife had the oxtail and I chose the lamb chops, can’t wait to visit again and will try the jerk chicken and curry goat next for sure!

There has certainly been a change since I last came here. On arrival we were reminded that we would need to leave in 90 minutes. Throughout we felt that we were being rushed through, even though nobody was waiting. We had 3 courses and left with 20 minutes to spare because of the hurry and stares when we didn’t leave as soon as we had paid. The food was nice enough, but overpriced and not as good as before. Only 1 vegetarian main course available now. Advice on choosing what to order was not especially helpful. Cocktails were nice but again, overpriced. I won’t be coming back when there are so many other amazing options on Cowley road.

Wow! This is the type of restaurant that makes me want to change every other 5 star review I've given down to 4 because they simply CAN'T COMPARE.
I go to restaurants looking for new flavors and new experiences and this definitely hits that mark! I've never had anything quite like a Caribbean jerk. The flavors are unlike anything I've had before and so so good!
I had the tempeh jerk and it blew my mind.
Even the old fashioned was unique and on point.
In fact everything is so exact: the proportions, the heat, the flavor, the presentation.
If I'd known about this place earlier I'd have eaten here more!
Do not miss!

Delicious authentic food. I'm not giving it 5 stars only because everything is overpriced. Especially the £10 cocktails.
The curried goat was very tasty but the only reason the meal fills you up if because of the disproportionately large amount of rice, compared to the amount of curried goat and sauce.
The Jerk chicken was delicious, but again a relatively small portion. The bean rice that came with it was really good.
Fried plantain did not really taste like plantain, I think it may have just been banana.
The rum cake for pudding was really good, and the rum and raisin ice-cream tastes home made. But at £7.50 that is the least you'd expect.

Fantastic restaurant. Staff were attentive and helpful in choosing dishes. Food was spectacularly well presented and delicious. Portions were more than an adequate size and I’ve got a very healthy appetite.
