This has to be the best chippy since Binley... Ive been eating her for years. Since Sequoia left, the service has dropped, but still really nice... (She was the best chef and when she was cooking with a smile, it made my day) 5/5

Used to get excellent service from this fish and chips shop, however the service since COVID has gone down. Do not take any notice of the opening times on their sign on the car park wall as this is completely wrong. We arrived at 7.30pm one evening to order a meal and we were turned away as we had not pre ordered. Considering taking our trade to The Royal fish bar just round the corner.

Loved it. I moored on the river and didn't fancy cooking dinner. Found Friar Tuck's on the Internet and made the short walk into town. Friar Tuck's wonderfully clean and spotless, staff polite and efficient (plus wearing masks). The fish was fantastic, smelled lovely, tasted wonderful and the batter just right! The chips also great and the whole meal was reasonably priced. Next time I'm passing I certainly visit again. 👍👍👍

Cracking fish and chips, my go to place for as long as I can remember. Everything is freshly made to order, so takes a little longer than; say the golden arches, but it is well worth the wait. Portion sizes are just right (large, yet not too substancial) , as are the prices! Friar's do also cater well for people with allergies/food intolerances. All of the staff I've encountered are great also.

I've eaten Fish n chips all over the country and world.. None have the ridiculously polite service or professional attitude or food quality that this place has.. Weird saying that about a little fish n chip shop I know, but it shows how much pride they have in their business..

Very tasty fish and chips bit on the expensive side but still tasty. We come from Romford in Essex to see our father in law and we have to eat our fish and chips on a Friday we do look forward to this meal.

Wasn't impressed with this fish shop..... Stood for ages in the queue only to be told I should have ordered my fish when I came in!!... Ummm it's a fish and chips shop thought they may have had some already cooking!!?... Got fed up waiting and went to the fish shop round the corner.... My son got some from here and said the batter was very greasy and wouldn't be going back.
