The best kebab in Peterborough. Lovely cooked with some extra vegetables and sauces. I tried a wrap as well and it’s just amazing. If I can fail The German Kebab it would be the way the pack the food - over pack it. It’s looks really exclusive but lots of waste. Thank you!

Presented in a well made box,I chose the largest with extra meat,choice of chicken or beef,or both,with fries and a side,and drink of your choice,not cheap but you are paying for the quality,it was bootiful, and as a bonus,inside the box there is a QR code to scan to win tickets for concerts etc,I won a free kebab, 😉

With a proper stuffs this place could be the best in Peterborough. The stuffs are friendly but new stuffs need a proper training on food handle as it creates many complaints regarding de food quality.

I was quite delighted when I heard they have opened a branch in Peterborough. Did the take away a couple of days ago. Overall food food, but they need to ensure they serve hot. My Flaming Fries were less than luke warm when I ate, the minute I walked out of the store. Also, the boxes are not a filling meal and not value for money for sure. Boxes also look quite“sad”! Doner Nachos were nothing special either to write about. The real game is their wraps and mainly Original German Doner Sandwich made of sesame bread. It was too good. The Lahmacun Wrap was also very good. Both had good amount of filling and the sauces tasted very good. Fresh crunchy veggies. Packaging is awesome. Service was good and quick. Pricing is reasonable for mains but high for the sides and boxes. I do recommend trying them. Definitely a good place for doner lovers. Stick to main meals though!

As a German I can confirm that the kind of food and flavour is pretty spot on to German doner kebabs. However, the real deal will incorporate the sauces into the kebab instead of letting you add them just on top. This ensures the sauce is throughout the kebab. Also real ones are a bit thicker packed with salad and cabbage and meat. German doner kebab is the closest thing you will find in the UK to the real German Doner but it could be improved in the areas outlined above. The service and price is good for what you get.

Missed Germany terribly so was desperate to visit. I was so disappointed. Highly priced for small portions. They were SO busy during covid so I do appreciate times are testing but my order was deleted from the screen after waiting about 20 minutes, I then asked if there was a mistake and told not to worry, then spent ages again standing in the waiting area before they queried it themselves and started to push for my order to START being cooked. They have choice of three meats, but don't sell gyros which is the whole point of a German kebab shop (main reason for 3 stars). The portion sizes are so disappointing for the price. Don't get me wrong, it was nice, but nothing like a German kebab shop. Maybe my expectations of an Imbiss in UK were too high. I wanted to love this place so much.

Great kebab place, the meat itself was quality really good stuff. Negatives: the quesadilla had as much onion as meat, the cheese sauce side was tiny and I was unimpressed with the drinks available. Would definitely head there if I fancied a kebab but if it's just grabbing lunch it doesn't compete with the surrounding food places.

Tried for the first time a couple of weeks ago after recommendation from a friend. I wasn't disappointed, ordered a wrap which was packed with meat, chicken was a little dry however it was very tasty, I will try again on a less busy night :) service was quick and the kitchen was visible and very clean which was awesome 👌

Great tasting kebabs and doners. Has many good meal deals and overall the rates are reasonable given the excellent quality and quantity of food. The lamb doner and chicken doner is a must try. It's also HALAL. This particular branch is a bit small though and may get crowded especially during weekends or holidays.

Sorry guys but only 3 stars. Bought 2 original kebabs to take away, i have been asked if i want medium or large, i thought i will go for 2 larges, so they said it will cost £1.50 extra each which is absolutely fine. Once i back home there was 1 large and the other one very small.! 2 completely different. I can't understand what did i pay for. I was about to take them back however i realised they didn't provide with the receipt! Talking about the taste it was ok, actually mainly meat and very little salads 🤦‍♀️ when i asked for additional sauce i got some but the girl behind the till was very greedy. I was happy to pay for this extra but she just gave me 1 and asked if that's enough. I asked few more... Well if you can not just give than ask to pay for it which is fine. I don't understand this type of customer service. We might back because the meat was definitely fresh but next time i will check if i get the right one. Not gonna pay for something i don't get. I understand they are very busy over there but still.... The right food has to be provided...

Well done GDK Peterborough. Ordered for 5 to take out and food was ready within 10 mins. Food was warm when I got home and the portion sizes generous compared to many other GDKs. Will probably dine in next time as seemed quite spacious and clean.

Got messed about by just eat with my order, as they wouldn't assign a driver again after the original one didn't deliver my food!! Called them and spoke to Gavin who remade my order from scratch for me and said I could come collect it. Great service and really helpful, considering it wasn't their error in the first place and they ended up losing money having to redo it. Food was amazing as always.

Once I had a great experience with GDM. But, one day I ordered 1 veggie kebab and 1 mixed meat original german kebab, but both kebabs was massively filled with meat and there was almost no salad in them. Also did not receive their signature sauces (6x) at all, so I had to eat dry kebabs. Was a big dissapointed of their food and I am not planning to return.

GDK provides great menu choices... First time trying here a decent menu with affordable prices!Had a takeaway a couple of days back their Doritos were damn good and I love their creamy cheese sauce on top of it The kebabs were tender and juicy as the place claims to provide kebabs made out of premium lean meats...yeah definitely! Service & Packaging was good , hygienic and they made in no time...it's quite filling Will definitely try some other menu next time

The food is just amazing, I've been ordering so many time and every single time the order was exceptional. The delivery was good as well. Martynas tried to deliver it the last time but he couldn't find my home because I forgot to put the house number ( did the order from another phone) and he came back once I picked up the phone . Okay this has become my favourite restaurant. I was used to take-away orders but today I had the privilege of experiencing their full service when I chose to eat in. Pros: The staff are super friendly. The lady at the till was so warm and radiant. Their table service is intuitive enough to understand. The design is superb. Spacious sitting, matte designed tables, that give a goosebump feeling when you rub your hand against them. Great colour scheme. Usman, the manager, I infer, is super great. If all the managers are like him I would want to work at this store. There seems to be an amazing working culture. The girl who brought my table service (Very pretty 🥰) answered my seemingly silly question without making fun of me. Cons: Like any store out there, I know they are working on delivering food faster. They are already 70% there. I can't wait till they get to a 100%. Amazing place. 100% recommend.

Well....... all the other kebabs were a waste of time, this place makes a very tasty kebab. Was very impressed and by far the best tasting kebab I have ever had. A nice venue, not the biggest venue but does have an upstairs too but seating is limited if you covid concious. The kebab was very tasty and there is a lot of choice on the menu. Nice to have this restaurant in Peterborough and offers something different but nicely done 👍 and the prices seemed relatively competitive. I did not think it was expensive and got alot of food for the money so good value, Roll on my next visit 👍😋

Overall when you eat in store the food is fantastic and me and wife have been in twice and the quality is so high. So much better and tastier than anything we have ate. Word of warning the restaurant are having problems with Deliveroo and Ubereats delivery drivers. As they are not picking up deliveries on time and are doing 3 jobs at once and by the time your meal comes to you it is cold. This happened to us but the owner when I spoke to him was nice and explained the situation and gave us a 2 meals free the next we come instore. Always brilliant instore but due to delivery problems with external companies you run the risk of your meal being cold but this can happen with any restaurant provider. So don't complain about the restaurant on deliveries complain to Deliveroo, Ubereats or JustEat directly.

I would prefer food to be wrapped in foil but hot rather than sitting in fancy box but cold. Was little bit sceptical about change my favourite take away which I know for years and try new German Donner Kebab but my lord, how lovely was it. They are extremely busy since they open but nothing was a problem for staff, everyone friendly and welcoming. Never had a Donner Spring Rolls before and they are simply amazing. Meat nicely cooked and not grease which make my Gym Box really "healthy " option. Definitely new place have a one of the top places on my "take away list"

Visited the branch, a fair few people waiting outside in the rain. Ordered & then tried to add to order, staff member said I couldn’t. To be honest the wraps were very good. Downside the waiting , 25 minutes in the rain wasn’t fun. Another diner went to complain and was spoken to poorly, it seemed the staff were prioritising the phone orders !!! When the diner have a comment he was spoken to shockingly “ go and get the police “ he was told and then the staff member started chatting in a foreign language met with laughter. Very disrespectful. My waiting time was 25 minutes also, the food packaged well, but when I got home ( 4 minute ) drive the fries were cold , the 2 cans of pop were warm so they weren’t from the fridge. Overall the wraps were tasty and enjoyable to eat, just the lack of respect to the customers and the cold fries let them down. The menu looks interesting so I would order again from them, perhaps home delivery as I may get warmer fries & a friendlier delivery.

Had a regular on Monday with cheesy chips, onions and tomatoes only, when it was ready I looked in the bag, no sauce, I was told that only comes with a meal, hmmmm what do they think this is then? A few words and sauce went in ( tiny pots) I was surprised how small this kebab was and how little meat was in it, also I had only about 8 skinny strands of onion and just one of the thinest slices of tomato I've ever seen. On the plus side it was tasty and I enjoyed it, hence 3 stars but hey a bit mean on filling. This isn't kebab done right as they say but kebab done different and smaller. Prefer the Turkish lamb version, not an option with German kebab.

Food 5* Service 3* Covid measures in place 1* Tonight was the opening of GDK Peterborough so I decided to give it a try. The food was amazing as always from any GDK franchise, the staff were friendly, the place was clean and fresh. The only thing to let it down was how many people were in there. At one point I counted 48 people stood and sat downstairs not including staff. I think there should be some kind of waiting system in place where you order your food then wait outside and only a few people in at once so there is room to move around in there. My meal didn't come out with chips which wasn't a problem the waitress quickly grabbed me some and my girlfriends kebab came out full of salad when we ordered 2 plain ones but that was quickly swapped too. Service was pretty quick considering how busy it was which surprised me, only 15 minutes from getting in, ordering and having food on the table. I look forward to trying again once the hype has calmed down and less busy.

if you visited to shop very clean everything is high standards compare with mc donalds( their big mc meal is £4.80 but you need another one to fill you up) and pizza shops or fish and chips or other takeaway shop per person it can't be less than £7.00 or £8.00 with drink, if you go for their biggest original German doner kebab (which is my favourite the bread is lovely i can recomend anybody )as a meal it will be £7.95 with chips and drink it is a fare portion after you are full if you don't want to spend that much they have £5.00 or £6.00 meal which is fare enough peoples also says the food was cold don't forget delivery time if you want hot hot you should go to shop eat straight away and it is a new shop and staff might do some mistakes I am sure they will get better give the staff bit more time and chance i think that place worth 5 star rating👍👌
