We tried so many indian places in Peterborough and for sure You are the best and the tastiest! You look after clients well too. When You forgot to pack a part of my order, I received a call about it and was waiting just 10 more minutes for the rest of my food to be delivered. Most of the places would take it easier and refund money… and leave client starving 🤷🏼‍♀️ But not You! Definitely will be coming back for more 🙂

Booked 45 minutes ahead on Saturday for two with no problem. Great lively atmosphere. Waiter adapted dishes to ‘mild’ to avoid chillies where possible for two dishes which was great. The food & service was amazing, will be booking again!

Had a lovely time in this well run and lovely looking resturant. The waiter service was very professional and attentive. The food was lovely. All four of us had food from the gurkha side of the menu. It was well presented and tasty. Overall prices were OK I added a bottle of champagne as a little treat so spent a little over £100. Well worth it.

Nice modern setting light and airy with aircon which was a plus. Excellent menu and the food was really tast. Good to be able to order chicken on the bone which was hand chopped from the breast and tasted much better than the frozen cardboard lumps of psuedo chicked that others serve. Friendly and attentive staff. Went on a wednesday evening and it was quite busy. Suspect one would need to book at the weekend.

First visit, and enjoyed the food. I had the Yeti Chicken starter which was tasty. I was unsure about the dishes that had fruit so I had an Jalfrezi, pilau rice and keema naan. Food good. Struggled at the end of the meal to get someone to provide the bill even though it was not that busy at that time.

Read the reviews and headed over. Lovely surroundings & nice and clean on the restaurant floor. Well decorated interior. We ordered: 11. Mo-Mo Napalese dumplings 12. Yeti chicken - marinated chicken with Napalese spices 51. Chicken Bhutwa - Nepalese speciality with dried chilli & crushed garlic 57. Goat special curry - on the bone goat slowly cooked today Nepalese recipe 11 & 12 were the starters. A different kind of spice for us seasoned veterans of 'desi' food, so we enjoyed them. 51 & 57 were the mains and disappointing. The sauce used was the same for both (experience kicked in). Lovely staff & it's actually full at the moment. Worth a visit if you are in Peterborough. Highlight for us was the 'red chilli sauce' that was with the Popadum condiments. Toilets were disappointing with no loo holder and the floor seemed quite dirty. We asked for 'desi' tea that's just milk boiled quite a few times that brings out the taste of the tea for a creamy taste. It wasn't on the menu but the request was accepted and delivered successfully as they were decent cuppas.

The food was ok, however the portion sizes were really poor. The chilli paneer starter only consisted of 5 small pieces of paneer, and the paneer tikka masala main consisted of 95% sauce, and 5% paneer (7 small pieces of paneer). Same issue for all the other dishes we ordered. Was quite disappointed as even some fine dining places in London have bigger portions. The food wasn't bad however I wouldn't recommend the restaurant due to incredibly small portions. We all left the restaurant hungry and had to get food from elsewhere afterwards.

The Gurkha Lounge in Hampton Vale is truly worth a visit. It's easily our favourite restaurant where we return often and usually with a friend or two in tow. At the Gurkha Lounge you can enjoy expertly prepared Nepalese and Indian dishes. There's a large selection of starters, mains and desserts, all beautifully presented plates of food crafted with passion. Dishes range from subtly spiced to extra hot (indicated on the menu) but can be varied if desired. To be recommended are the freshly prepared momo, always a firm favourite, and the Gurkha Specials. Notably Lamb shank and Gurkha Special Chicken (on the bone is best!) Both are wonderful. A relaxed dining experience that never feels rushed and Kris and the team are always welcoming. In fact, it's so good, we have been known to plan our next visit before we've finished our main course!

As a celiac It's nice to have a local that can cater for gluten free diets. I've never had a reaction from here and it tastes great. Nice restaurant to sit in and when ordering takeaway the quality is no different.

My favourite Indian restaurant in Peterborough. I've tried many as some are closer but Gurkha Lounge is well worth the travelling and food has never dissapointed. I took my partner for our anniversary it was her first time and she loved it. Looking at some reviews that have been left it surprises me as the venue is excellent inside, nice lighting, quiet and well spaced out table so you can enjoy your company whilst enjoying your food. In comparison with other Indian restaurants within Peterborough I wouldn't say this is expensive almost average but for the few things that may be a few pint more I see it as you pay for what you get. The service here is fantastic staff always smiling and they genuinely look interested in making sure you are happy and content during your visit. Nothing but good words to say about here and the staff I will continue using yourselves for them nice meals out or enjoying a takeaway at home.

Booked a table for ,6 if is, 2 of whom were children. Made to feel really welcome. Staff very attentive and friendly. Food was superb! Loads of choice and my Uncle was delighted with the goat curry on the menu! The special buttered chicken was superb and my daughter was delighted with the kebab. Portions were every generous and we took half of it home with us! Will definitely eat here again and I think I've finally found a decent curry delivery place in Peterborough!

I visited Gurkha Lounge this week for the first time and really enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is spacious, nicely decorated and also very clean. Staff were super friendly and efficient. The food was very nice, we only had poppadum and a main course but I enjoyed them. Plentiful menu. They cater for vegetarians and vegans well too. A car park is opposite, which was busy for a Wednesday night but I managed to get a space. There is also nearby street parking. I would go again and recommend this restaurant. Thank you.

This Peterborough gem is about 10 minute walk from my house, and it is definitely my eatery of choice. Whenever we have a family occasion, or work colleagues need to be entertained I take them here. The decor is clean and modern, and the service is attentive but not overwhelming. The food is a wonderful selection of Indian and Nepalese dishes and they are always beautifully presented. As the reputation of this fabulous place grows it is getting busier and busier, so it is definitely worth calling ahead first. You will be disappointed if you miss out!

Since moving to the area my family and I have ordered food from the Gurkha lounge many times and we've never been disappointed. The food is delicious and the service is fast. We even ordered a number of meals on new year's eve and had to queue out the door to pick it up! The restaurant is also beautiful (not that we can eat there at the moment, thanks covid) and the social distancing measures they've put in place give enough room that plenty of people can wait indoors safely. I'd strongly recommend Gurkha.

Unfortunately the service from the other staff is not quite up to scratch... leaning over people to put things down, no checking on drinks or offering more, tap water requested wasn’t given, request for a dessert menu took too long. I think that in terms of food quality this could be worthy of 5 stars but the poor service and also the fact that they charge for popadoms, pickles and additional £1.50 for a tiny portion of onion salad knocks it down.

Six of us went for a meal this evening & what a lovely experience it was. The new owner (Krish) has got it right. The staff were very friendly & efficient & very knowledgeable. The food was excellent. One of the dishes ordered by one of our group was sweeter than expected but that was no real criticism. The whole evening was excellent- it was fun & we all left feeling very satisfied both with the quantity & quality of the food & drink but, more importantly with the value for money. If this is the standard we can expect going forward then the Gurkha Lounge is going to be a fantastic addition to the cullinary offerings of Hampton.

Stopped at this lovely little restaurant by chance, the wife and I are travelling around the UK from Australia and decided to stop. The food is fantastic as is the service, had the lamb madras extra spicy, and chicken biryani with the gurkha nan. This was our first visit. The staff were very friendly and efficient but the venue is noisy and lacks atmosphere. Some of the food was genuinely superb but the onion bhajis and peshwari nans were terrible. All in all I'm glad we tried it but there are better Indian restaurants in the area.

The menu has lots of different dishes I had not seen before and just as important the dishes ranged from hot try the goat curry its wonderful, to normal ,try the fish curry. We booked a table at 20:45. It was an Indian festive day (Dussehra) and a Friday. So they mentioned that they were busy over the phone. When we arrived there, there was no place. But they accommodated us at the sofa, and served us drinks. We got out our table after 10 minutes. We ordered the food immediately, and the service was good. They said that it will take 10 mins, so suggested some poppadoms with chutney. The food was excellent. The presentation of the food could beat any Michelin star restaurant. Ande menu had a large choice. Overall, a star of Peterborough.
