R. F.I had a home delivery from here last night for the first time, and it is going to be my new go-to for Indian food! It was utterly delightful. The curry was really tasty, the rice was perfect. Honestly, it was the best curry I've had since I moved up from London. Oh, and it arrived in a really timely manner too.

H.Went here for my daughter's birthday with a whole load of dietary requirements, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, can't eat spicy food, won't eat spicy food, vegan...I think we covered all the bases to make us a nightmare for the restaurant but they catered for us brilliantly. Best Indian food we've had outside India too. Brilliant service. We'll be back!

R.Ordered take out from Taj Mahal, ordered Lamb Tikka Biryani, chicken Biryani and Taj Mahal mix starter, the food was amazing the aromatic flavours of the Biryani lamb and Chicken were awesome, the vegetable curry was outstanding, I would say most likely the best Indian food I have ever tasted. Lovely touches like poppadoms and little pots of raita, mango chutney and chopped onions included free. Naan were also delicious. Only problem is parking to collect an order. Occured to me afterwards that maybe you could phone when you arrive and they may bring it out?

B. P.Who knew one of the best Indian Meals of my life would be on a quiet street on the outskirts of Peterborough Town centre. The food was fantastic - proper curry house flavours but with just a little welcome twist. Clearly a lot of care taken with every dish. The service was great too - our waiter was really friendly and helpful.

Z. A.Flavour was great, portions were great and it arrived earlier than we expected. Only fault that doesn’t make it a 5 star is the attitude of the busy staff that answered the phone. I understand that things are hard when it’s busy but that shouldn’t be taken out on customers. We actually thought about cancelling but gave it a chance because it’s our first time. Others may not be so forgiving.
S.Excellent food fully recommend. Was spot on with delivery time in actual fact a couple of minutes out But got a a discount at the door. Cannot argue with that. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

A fantastic menu. Poppadoms came with 7 different chutneys and pickles and coconut shavings. I opted for lamb madras, pliau rice and keema naan as my main. It was perfect. My wife had butter chicken which was also very nice.
Service - 5/5
The entire team was extremely polite. Checking in at the right times for new drinks when eating and making sure everything was ok.
Atmosphere - 4/5
The place seems quite small but we had plenty of room at our table to eat. The music was at a reasonable level.
I will definately be returning here again!!
N. S.Great food and service. The food here has authentic flavours and you will not leave feeling hungry. The restaurant is clean and tidy inside and you can watch the chefs at work. The Taj Mahal is definitely worth a visit.

The food is of really high quality, not greasy or chewy.
The service is really good and the staff really nice. The delivery driver is really friendly and always asks after my wife and son.
If you haven't tried the food here then it's definately worth a try!
T. 8.We order from here 2-3 times a month and honestly would say it's the best curry in Peterborough by far and we've tried most. The chicken tikka Rogan and keema naan are to die for, so nice and delivered quick. Thanks guys

M. W.I visited Taj Mahal due to the very impressive reviews left here (4.9/5 from 10 reviews is very unusual). I left a little disappointed however - not because it wasn't good food, but because my expectation was for a 5* experience. The poppadoms were fine, and the sauce selection was extensive (6 sides were delivered to my table!). My main was a Chicken Balti and Naan. The chicken was very tender and Naan fresh, however the sauce was not quite as good as I had hoped, although still better than average. My main let downs were the Kingfisher beer, which tasted a little off, and the ice cream, which was mass produced and rather granular. All in all better than average, but not quite worth a 5* review.

B.With the poppadoms came no more than 7 different sauses/ toppings the most i have had in any restaurant it was a good display the taj mahal starter which was a meal on it's own came out on a sizling plate onions on the bottom and all the meat on top by the time i had the meat the onions had been burnt in the meat juices tasted devine then i went for a chicken tikka kema bunah and was asked which sauce i wanted from korma to phale i went for a madras medium to hot with a keema rice and a special nan wow it was lovely
I could not finish it all when i could not eat anymore i was asked if i would like a doggy bag
Very good service and would recommend anyone in peterborough to call in accept the dated decor and give it a go
