The food was simply beautiful delicately spiced as full flavours . Very nice ambience and attentive staff. Food was served pretty fast.Definitely a place we would visit again. If your in the area it’s must try.

My kebab was good but my husbands tagine was well below par with lots of shredded pita on top to mask the thin gravy, toms n kebab lamb, obvs not cooked in a conventional tagine pot. When we commented told that's how it is! 😟N never the word sorry hmm 🤔 Wine n beer was really good.

B. j.If I had seen a photographic menu I would never have ordered the tagine, When it arrived it was obvious that this was not slow-cooked, but thrown together on the BBQ and it was piled up with shredded pita which I couldn't eat. I didn't complain but when the waiter asked if everything was good I did say I was unhappy with the tagine and the pile of pita,, but rather than saying he was sorry all he said, in a very offhand way, 'that's the traditional way' the rest of the .meal was ok but I have had better and the waiters attitude left a bad taste. We will not go back

L.What a beautiful little gem in the city centre. Tavan is one of those restaurants you can easily pass on the outside and mistake it for something else like a hotel but go inside and you are greeted by the welcoming staff, an impressive menu and fantastic flavours from Morocco.
The aubergine dip tastes fresh along with a trio of other flavours all accompanied with plenty of home made bread. Main course is a meat feast all worth the wait and some dishes served in traditional Moroccan pots.
They offer Belly Dancing every first Thursday of the month and reservations are recommended for a weekend or Friday evening booking. Definitely a new favourite for PE1

C.My partner and I went here first time. It's a very nice building! We both had the Taven Special menu for 2. I ordered the Moussaka as main, I have to say it's not my favourite, I wouldn't order that again. But my partner ordered the Lamb Tazine and he loved it. The starters were amazing, cold and hot.. definitely recommended. Our waiter Sumon was amazing, he was attentive and made us feel welcome. The only thing I would like to mention is: when we finished our main we were so full anfd after 10 seconds the dessert were already served on our table. Would be great next time maybe to wait at least 5 minutes or so? We would come back as the food and service was great. Thank you and see you soon.

S. G.The starter was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed the mixed hot and cold platter, I would definitely recommend. The mains were tasty but not the best Turkish food I've had, if you coyly have just starters I'd stick to them.
The welcome was a little off when we arrived but the waiting staff more than made up for it. They were friendly and welcoming and made us feel more comfortable than the man that we were greated by.
When it comes to kids food, it all depends on what your child will eat as there is no specific child portions or foods.

When I booked I asked if they have a quieter area to accommodate my deaf husband who is getting used to a new hearing implant that makes noisy environments particularly difficult for him. The manager called me to say that saturday nights were never quiet and said the best they could offer was a table in an alcove. We could only get the family together for Saturday night, so decided to try it. PERFECT! Only complaint .. I ate too much and couldn't finish .... or manage dessert 😆

b. v.(Translated) The restaurant is great, the food is superb, the extra attention from the waiters, the owner is Bulgarian as well as some of the cooks, so if you eat at a Bulgarian restaurant everything was more than perfect even the owner paid us a lot of attention and even gave us a dessert to go I recommend everyone prices would even say pretty low enjoyable experience :)

Ресторанта е страхотен, храната е превъзходна, изключително внимание от сервитьорите, собственика е българин също така и някой от готвачите така че все едно се храните в български ресторант всичко беше повече от перфектно дори и собственика ни обърна много внимание даже ни подариха десерт на тръгване определено препоръчвам на всеки цените са дори бих казал доста ниски приятно изкарване :)
