Love coming here Staff are brilliant. Was greeted by Amy and Mario at the bar .He got all the utensils ready for us and a friendly greet by him.We are regulars and Mario always stands up .Hard worker and always have time for us even thou he is busy . Chef are friendly and dont even need to ask for fried eggs as he came with it . Overall is faultless here fantastic service. Mario is the furniture of this place.....

Went for a Toby breakfast for the first time with the children and wow so yummy and a mixture of different foods did feel strange eating Yorkshire puddings for breakfast lol but worth it. The staff are always friendly and the bar man (can't remember his name) was happy to explain how it all works Always better to book a table as didn't want to get turned away and glad we did as was well worth it. Breakfast cooked lovely and no washing up in sight = priceless Our daughter couldn't wait to get stuck in to the Yorkshire pudding.

We had an amazing meal today, the staff took great care of us, going above and beyond. Jodie was our waitress and checked on us through out the meal. Explained that there would be a wait as there was only 2 kitchen staff. The 2 chefs we're Ciaran and Corey both were doing a fantastic job. Clearly they love their work. Chatting and engaging with every single customer. Fantastic service.

The food was excellent, the price for a family of 4 was very reasonable, and the staff were amazing. The lady serving the carvery was very helpful for our children, and wonderfully polite to us. Our waiter, a man with a Mediterranean accent, went above and beyond, and was brilliant with our kids. Will certainly be returning!

All of the roast meat looked delicious. They had pork, beef, turkey and gammon on. I had the pork and beef and both were really tasty and very tender. There was also a great selection of sides including the best roast potatoes I've had in a long time. Service was quick and friendly and the price of the carvery is very reasonable, especially midweek. Highly recommended if you like a huge roast dinner (and who doesn't!)

Very tasty food and good service. Only thing I'd like to see more of is vegetables in the carvery. They had three different types of potatoes, carrots, peas and cauliflower cheese. Would have liked some broccoli, green beans our any other green veg. Very good range of drinks xx

Just had lunch at the Toby ( first time we have eaten there) and it was very nice. Meat ,veg and Yorkshire puddings were cooked well and the potatoes were some of the best we’ve had at any pubs. Very good value and nice staff.

Welcomed and greeted by Jodi. So proud that she was supervisor. She is a wonderful person, so welcoming, patient, polite and hardworking. Since the first day my husband and I went to the restaurant, she was the very first server andade such an impression on us. Even the young lad who served us (I have forgotten his name) was wonderful. It came naturally to him. High 5 to all of the staff. Even Mario. I see Jodi as a role model to all those who have additional needs. Such an inspirational young lady. Must book on a Sunday lunchtime. All the food is delicious. Drinks can be refilled as many times as you like. They lost 1 star because when i was queuing for the carvery, some of the meats ran out and they didn’t replace them for a while. The only options left were gammon, pork and turkey (a bit dry). I would have liked to choose beef and lamb but they hadn’t replaced them yet.

Exactly what I needed after a long early drive. We were the first ones in at 8am when they opened. The breakfast is a buffet with hot or cold drink refills so you can get exactly what you want straight away. Staff were friendly and checked in to make sure we were happy with everything

We invited a couple of friends along as a treat as they had never been to a Toby before and had expressed how much they love a roast dinner, especially the roast potatoes. We were very disappointed when we discovered that they had ran out of roasties and were told we’d have to get our food and keep popping up to the servery to see if they were ready . After several trips (interrupting my meal) I gave up. The roast potatoes were ready 15 minutes after we’d gotten our meals and we had finished eating the meals by then.

Food was as good as it gets. There was me, my wife, step-daughter and step-son, 10 grandkids of whom 9 of them could eat, as the 10th one was only 9 days old. Loved the roast potatoes and the veg, with plenty for vegetarians. Meat was excellent, as I only eat beef and gammon at carveries, it was excellent. The guy carving for us was very helpful and as friendly as you would expect. One of the other waiters was child friendly, giving the children as much attention as the adults, if not more. They made us feel very welcome. Parking on the property is limited, but because of the other restaurants around the property, there's always somewhere nearby to park. Only 2 disabled parking spaces on the property, but I'm sure parking around the other restaurants carparks will help, if need be. Access to the restaurant is ok for the disabled.

Went here for the all you can eat breakfast which is advertised as served until 11am, but if you turn up after 10:15 no more cooked food is brought out so you have to make do with what's left, although you still have to pay the same price, which is wrong. So if you want breakfast make sure you turn up early. I must say that when you get the full breakfast it is ok.

Love this place, and the staff always go above and beyond! I can’t seriously believe all t bad reviews??! Met at the door my mario, who is such a lovely friendly guy, a big hit with both my children, always includes them and chats to them. The food is lovley, as always!! My son has some additional needs, he was having a bit of an issue with wanting a sausage ( which only come with the king size plate, not his child’s plate) we tried to distract him with all the other options and veggies, but he was adamant he didn’t want anything, which is unlike him, he loves a roast, I managed to get him through with a few little bits of his plate, I was just adding apple sauce, my son was still causing a fuss over the sausage, when the older carver with grey hair. came up to me and put two sausages on his plate. This small act of kindness, made my sons and my day! This is the second time the carvers have saved the day with my son…. I wrote a review a few months back after my partner had put gravy on my sons meal by accident. I love these guys who work here, above and beyond! The carver and mario are an absolute asset to you guys! Such small acts of kindness go a looong way! The price is good, the food is good but the service…. Excellent!!! Also…. The loos are always super clean and smell Lovely! Seriously can’t say enough good things about this place! We been coming here for 12 years now, and will keep coming back! Please pass on the comments to mario and the carver… I’m not sure what his name is, but he is a legend!

I'm pleased about the opportunity to sing the praises of the Toby Carvery at Hampton. We had a choice from four different meats and then from an array of vegetables including potatoes roasted in beef dripping! (You can have any quantity). The beef was very flavoursome and tender and the veg didn't disappoint. Then there were a choice of various sweets. We left feeling well full, having had a drink, main course, sweet and coffee for a remarkably low price. Will definitely eat here again: strongly recommend this place. The best meal we've had for some time.

Popped in about 16.50. It was very quiet, got shown to a table straight away. The Lass who was looking after us was pleasant, not very talkative apart for asking what drinks we want and just general information. Went and got the food from the Calvary. I had roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, parsnip's , cabbage, peas, carrots, cauliflower cheese and gravy. The roast beef was a little bit chewey and everything else was Luke warm. It was ok have had better food here or should I say hotter food and that's how I like my food. Had ice cream and a Cadbury flake and that was nice. We were in there for about one & half hours. It was still quite. A very clean place the food goodish and the Staff ok, have had better food here and the Staff A bit chatter. Don't get me wrong the Staff tonight were ok, not rude, just not engaging in small chit chat conversation with the customers . The 7th January 2019. We booked a table for 18.30 but we arrived at 18.00. The young man said thats no problem & asked us to wait for a few minutes, so we did and in about 5 minutes he showed us to a table, so we sat down but we were near the main door & as it kept being opened there was a cold breeze coming in, I was getting very cold and yes I still had my coat on. So I spoke to the young man and told him, he said give him a couple of moments, so we did and true to his word he moved us to another table. The place was very busy so there was a wee bit of a cue to get food. The food was very tasty, I had a small bit of Turkey, gammon & roast beef then a couple of roast potatoes and some veg & gravy, it was all very tasty. The young man who served us was very busy and he managed it all so well. Hats off to him and the young man who was carving the meats and all the orher staff who made it all possible. 10 out of 10.

We are regular visitors to Toby Carveries, but first time to Peterborough. We have relatives who live in Yorkshire, we live in Essex, Peterborough is roughly half way between us. Toby's famous raost potatoes, always good in all Tob ys, were extra special, I could have eaten a plate of them, my delight was your leek bake, I have not seen this in other Tobys, perhaps this might change. It is temptation at Toby to overload one's plate, but I do not like wasting food and will always take a plate full of veg, but only what I can eat, tempting though the leek bake and roast were, I only took what I could eat. Altogether a very good experience, staff were friendly, efficient thoujgh never pressurising, opur relatives enjoyed it as well and will hopefully visit a Toby near them, we will be off tho Clacton Toby in the near future.

Great food. We booked for half 8, we didn't realise that everything would be shut down by 9pm. The food was limited, no roast potatoes, 2/4 meats available. We weren't notified on arrival before we ordered drinks either, that the food was scarce. (Still charged full price) No complaints in terms of food, it was great! Good flavours. Staff were efficient enough. It was good for the very quick pit stop! We will come again to try it properly as most of the veg was gone too. Service slow despite being quiet and end of shift but they were all busy cleaning the food stations which were all cleaned down and cleared by 8.45 :)

Good hot food as always. Plenty of selection of meat (albeit) gammon was not there when I quiued. Great selction of vegetables and return trips for the veg always allowed. This was my first visit here and it won't be the last. H, her brother and I had decided on lunch at The Mulberry Tree Farm but, when we arrived it was really noisy with a live(?) singer. We beat a retreat to the nearby Toby Carvery and we were so glad that we did. We were seated immediately, the atmosphere was convivial, the food - both quantity and quality - was superb and the service was excellent. We will certainly be returning. A big thanks, too, to Honor - our server - who was so friendly and nice to us older folks.

Absolutely fantastic experience, this was our first ever visit and certainly won't be our last. The lady greeting people on the reception was very friendly and chatted with us after seating us. The lady who was serving on the carvery was also very chatty and friendly, in general the staff we came into contact with couldn't do enough for you and were very attentive. The establishment was also the cleanist one we've visited and even the toilets were immaculate. Myself and my Mum went for breakfast last Thursday 11th November. Just made it in time before they finished serving. Very warm welcome at the front desk by the manage who explained they were nearly finished serving breakfast and gave us a choice of either seeing what was left or wait for the lunch to start. On seeing what was still available, we decided on having the breakfast and so pleased we did. We was amazed by the quality of the food and on how hot it still was. The young waitress who was busy clearing the tables was very polite and stopped for a quick chat and the waiter that was on too was very polite and told us to help ourselves to more if we wanted as they were about to clear it away. Unfortunately we didn’t have room for more! Will definitely be going back. Keep up the good work Toby Carvery👍🏻

Everything is great in Toby Carvery , the food tastes great, it’s comfortable and the staff are great except for the chef that cuts the meat. We are not a family that will complain in the restaurant, I think it’s up to the restaurant to get it right. My daughter asked for beef thinking the chef would get a new joint but all she got were the scraps and grisly and the next person got the fresh meat. I asked for ham and turkey and got one slice of ham and a slice of turkey with a few bits of scrap. I looked at him but he just stared through me. The rest of the food is delicious but it’s not the first time at Peterborough this has happened. Other Toby’s I never have a problem. This is why we usually go to other local restaurants to celebrate or have a meal.

One of my favourite places to eat anyway, but todays service was even better than the usual high standard. My 3yr old was having a bit of a Meltdown due to wanting some of the ornamental orange slices next to the gammon, while I was trying to soothe him, my partner accidentally put gravy on his food, which sent him into another meltdown, with this, the younger chef with big black glasses came to the rescue, telling my son he would do some magic with his food and bring it back to him, which he did, minus the gravy. The older chef in the meantime had gone into the kitchen and cut my son an orange into slices and brought to him. This was such an amazing help in de-esculating my son. Mario was super friendly and engaging with the children as usual. We had a young girl on her first day looking after us at our table, she done very well, very polite and friendly, very good for her first day. The food is very good and we have been coming here for over 10years and will continue to. The customer service is always great, but today, wow! Those two chefs were simply amazing! I have heard customers swear and be rude to staff because drinks not served quick enough and they take it staying polite in return. The food is first class, the amazing chefs work so hard with the extra load of having to serve under covid regulations. Yes it causes delays but a delay worth waiting for for fabulous food. Safety precautions were good. Seating was in line with government guidelines . Orderering food was very different but OK only issue we had was time it took for the food to reach the table after it had been dished up, it sat on the side until a waiter/waitress saw it and decided to collect so it was not as hot as it should have been also if you request gravy your dinner is swamped in it. It would be better if the gravy was served in a small jug do the customer could put as much or as little on according to there preference. When we had finished as it was change over time we were left waiting to pay the bill. No one came until we caught someone's eye. The staff seemed more interested in talking to each other instead of the customers.

The service is fantastic, and the food is healthy, the range of drinks goes from standard soft drinks to draught beers and even a couple of ales. The most recent visit May 2018 was the best we have ever had at this Toby Carvery, almost the whole crew of staff were very new from the manager all the way down. The whole vibe & atmosphere of the place has improved hugely. The food this time around was excellent, with almost no waiting (which is a stark contrast to previous visits here). Staff were busy but remained friendly throughout. Good turnaround times for freshening up the carvery, with fresh veggies brought out when the dishes ran low. Quality of the food has improved too! We needed the table for 2, we got it within about 2-3 minutes after we were asked to wait. A kind waiter directed us to our table and asked if we would like any drinks. They were calm, yet polite. The staff have made our visit very hospitable. As it was my first time being in a carvery, I didn't know what to do but I asked a waitress about how things operate and they were very quick and concise to help me understand the system. I got my food and it was absolutely wonderful to eat. It was a good quality roast dinner. I would gladly recommend Toby Carvery to everyone who wants a fast and quality service, especially if you want to eat at a premium restaurant for a quick meal, as you control your quantity. Thank you for your great service and I will gladly come and visit again, especially with the 25% discount I received for my next visit, haha!

If your wanting a roast your not gong to go far wrong with a Toby carvery. When we ate here it was really clean and tidy around the food area with a good selection fo veg and gravy. The only downside was trying to get a soft drink as the machine wasn't working properly, and where is it if multiple people are up trying to get a drink it is cramped and needs to be checked more often so it can all be wiped down. The staff were attentive for such a busy place and were smiling as they were going round which always makes the atmosphere better.

We have started visiting here regularly, (at least once a week) good food, majority of the time, reasonable price and when you've been at work all day, saves the bother of preparing a meal. Have been couple of times when vegetables have run out and had to wait up to 10 minutes for dishes to be replenished, but considering there only appears to be a skeleton staff on, they do a very good job most of the time. Staff are always friendly and polite, we especially like Kim, she spots us as soon as we walk in and shows us to a suitable table without hesitation. (Mobility scooter is used some days). One very small gripe is on last few visits they have run out of Barcardi and it hasn't been replaced, and last week I was informed that my 2nd choice was now also empty! (I only have one drink per visit :-D) Speaking to the manager, he tells us the reason is because they have to either order a full box or wait for a bottle to come over from another branch. I just wonder how long that takes as they had been out for 4 weeks. Intending visiting tonight, just wondering what I shall be drinking! Have also tried leaving feedback and completing surveys previously, but the screen remains blank after entering the web addresses, and have still not received vouchers for adding the app to my phone. Toby offers/rewards just don't seem to work most of the time!

I love Toby Carvery and I’ve been to a good few of them and this isn’t in a pub as they usually are, but in a purpose built building near a few more food outlets. They aren’t mean with the meat either which is a major plus and seating is pretty good. Any drinks we order are usually brought to the table pretty quick as well, BUT, I’ve been here three times in the last three weeks and they’ve run out of vegetables or graveyard every time and your waiting for up to 5-10 minutes for them to be re-stocked, not good for somewhere who’s stock in trade is food service. If it wasn’t for that it would have been 5 stars, unfortunately, I could only give 3 for this reason. Hopefully it won’t happen next week 👍🏻

We went for the 'all you can eat' breakfast and it was really good. Everything there you would expect - even a choice of egg dishes. Some items you wouldn't expect like the famed Yorkshire Pudding (which actually works! Delicious!). We really enjoyed it. The only teeny tiny complaint in our group was the lack of Black Pudding. However, I would take a Yorkie Pud over Black Pudding every time so I was completely satisfied.

Have been before and not had any problems, very strange the whole place crumbles just because the sun shines!

Waiter, (Mario), was friendly, amusing and a big help in guiding those who had not visited a Toby Carvery, in the past. This Toby Carvery had hygienic and clean toilets, (which I haven't really seen from past Toby Carverys). The meat and vegetables were cooked to an outstanding standard; however, the beef seemed to be incredibly fatty, despite this, the beef was rather nice. Besides from the fat on the beef and the lack of staff, I cant pick out any more problems... Staff were great, food was good, cutlery and tables was clean, Lovely experience.

Cheap all you can eat breakfast, paid about £16 for the two of us with soft drinks included. You can also drink as much tea /coffee as you like, it's included in the price. Selection of food is the usual, sausages, bacon, eggs, baked beans etc. Staff was lovely.

We went at 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon and I think that's the wrong time to go. The meat was OK but the veg was dry from sitting under the heat lamps for to long. The yorkshire puds are ridiculously huge and it's not till you get it on the plate you realise it's taken half of it. I had the turkey which was nice but the stuffing was stodgy and tasteless and there was only beef gravy which was thick like chocolate sauce. We will go again but at a more popular time so the food will be fresher.

Management and staff are very welcoming and have great offers if you download the carvery app. The management and staff couldn't be any more welcoming,any issues are rectified promptly,there are a variety of table sizes/seating so even large groups can be catered for. There is a quiet table for those who prefer to dine away from bustle (recommend reserving but not essential). This restaurant caters for all groups/families/disabilities. The toilets and baby change cubicles are large, clean and bright (although one negative is that there isn't a disabled changing unit as yet but maybe due to lack of room..something to be addressed at a later time). So all in all if you're looking for a great quality and value for money meal in a restaurant that caters for all in a friendly social atmosphere, then give The Toby Carvery,in Hampton Peterborough, a visit and decide for yourselves. It is a family favourite with my own family. *some dietary requirements may not be covered but call first and speak to the management to check*

The food here is always great and I've never had any issues with it. I would recommend though that you visit outside of lunch time though as there can be very long queues. Our last visit had us queuing upwards of 35 minutes, and with A 3 year old, that's never fun... The queues are the only issue in an otherwise very enjoyable and delicious place to eat.

Really nice low cost breakfast buffet (paid about 7 quid in total). Quite a large selection of food with plenty of sausages and enough bacon to satisfy even me but the fried eggs were literally swimming in oil which was a little off putting but not enough to stop me eating them. Apparently they also offer a vegan option. Also got unlimited refills on soft drinks and got to try strawberry Pepsi for the first time which was amazing. The restaurant was very clean and well laid out but some of the glasses looked like they had been through the dishwasher more than a few to many times. The waiter (Mario I think) was great, very polite and well mannered. Although I'm only giving them 4 stars due to a few small things I would highly recommend going for breakfast there and will definitely be going back again.

As always very busy on a Sunday, however today seemed a little worse. It must have been cos the place was filthy. Good on the floor, whilst they wiped over our table they didn't do anything about the huge amount of food at our feet I nearly slipped by the servery as it had all manner of good squashed on the floor. Nice restaurant on the edge of the city but still very popular. Choice of four different roasted meats and can mix and match what you have. Toby Carvery is always full of people so booking in advance is highly recommended. Breakfast buffet is also served here until just before lunch time and that is also lovely. Place is clean and well looked after with French style doors that open in hot weather as well as a small outdoor seating area. Highly recommended if you like a roast dinner.

We visited the Toby Carvery on Sunday 20th Jan 2013 for the first time. The meal was fantastic apart from one of the veg which was cold and that was the swede. We got there at 11.35am and by 12 noon the place was heaving which made us glad we got there early. I would recommend eating there to anyone. We also had a dessert which was really nice. We will definately be going there again.

I visited a couple of years ago and the experience was better. Yesterday we had to wait for a pre-booked table and about 25 minutes for the carvery. I know Sunday is a busy day but that's a bit much. An elderly lady infront of us in the queue fainted, probably due to standing in a hot environment for so long. I think at busy times, another meat carvery would have made all the difference. Oh and no bread sauce on Sundays according to staff members. Not much help to our vegetarian friend who was struggling with an otherwise dry carvery.

Had gammon & turkey instead. Sorry folks this place has gone downhill a bit.
