We did try getting in here last Saturday, but the queue was out on the pavement and after waiting a few minutes a very apologetic member of staff came out and said it was likely to be 35 to 40 minutes, so we ending up at Five Guys Peterborough instead. Although it was disappointing we didn't get in, the queue speaks for itself, the food is superb! We visited this Saturday a bit later (18:45) and we were greeted immediately and shown to a table. We were primarily looked after by Nathan and he is a credit to the Company, he couldn't have been any more helpful and friendly. He spent the better part of five minutes taking us through the menu and making recommendations, based on what our preferences were. His advice was absolutely perfect. We shared a chilli squid and vegan short rib, then had firecracker chicken and beef donburt. We don't normally do dessert, but upon Nathan's recommendation we had chocolate and ginger cheesecake and banana katsu. Drinks were ginger no-jito and blueberry spice. I had previously been to the Wagamama in Lincoln, where I'd been equally impressed with the food, hence wanting to go as a couple and enjoy the experience. As mentioned the food is outstanding, the fire cracker chicken is already sat right at the very top of my goto dishes, I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys hot spicy food, you will not be disappointed! I was also offered an off the menu version of the katsu chicken, more chilli, which be on our next visit. Other than the food, what made.this such an enjoyable experience was the attention we were given by Nathan, he was patient, engaging and attentive. When all is said and done, you can go somewhere and eat the most amazing food, but if the service is lousy you don't go back. To go somewhere and get first class service and amazing food is getting rare. Speed of food to the table was also perfect with the squid arriving within five minutes. My partners and my first time in the Peterborough wagamama. Being seated was quick coming to take our order was quick getting the food was quick. Staff were lovely, such a delight. The food was presented really well and tasted amazing. I would LOVE to give extra credit to Joanna and Issac they made sure our every need was met, we ordered a desert and issac approached the table, super apologetic, telling us the desert was a bit beaten up but ediable super apologetic we agreed to take it anyway and when Joanna brought it out again super apologetic explaining that she ment nothing negative from giving us this specifically. Absolutely lovely those 2 and definitely worth a visit if near by.

Went in to wagamama today, first impression greated with a smile from all the chefs, then all the FOH staff, been seated right a the back in cooler bit of the restaurant as its a hot day outside, had the blossom lemonade was the best made by oli, my waiter took care of us I think her name was Ala, special thank you to the chef and everyone made our day what an amazing food and amazing team, well done for the service guys keep it up.

Came here about a month ago: I Had never been here before. And *WOW* not only was the customer service spot on and very welcoming. But the food was *AMAZING*. Staff were so friendly and so helpful and extra brownie points for a service with a smile. They made me feel so welcome and gave me their choice of what to recommend to try. Was very quick service with everything. From being served, to then receiving my food. The food was amazing! So fresh and colourful and full of flavour, and the presentation was just beautiful! A nice place to dine, lots of choice and reasonably priced. Also very good if you have a food allergy as they have a menu for people with coeliac. The only thing I don't like is that they don't bring the food out at the same time. My husband was half way through his meal before mine arrived. The same happened in Nottingham when I dined there with my daughters.

Food is good as it should be, but the customer service could be better. Welcome was fine and they got us seated straight away. Took a little while to get our drinks order in. Wasn't overly busy so we expected things to be quicker. Once ordered, the food and stuff came through fine. Drinks were empty for a while and noone came to check if things are fine or if we needed anything. Had to call staff over a few times. What made it 3 stars is that the staff were busy talking to one another and not really on hand or around to check how things are. Disappointing service.

Had lunch here on Saturday 12.30 pm. Restaurant was busy but we were seated very quickly in a side booth because staff member said it would be more comfortable, i use a walking stick so very much easier than sitting at a bench table. Drink's order taken quickly and food order shortly after drinks came. Food arrived quickly and as usual was very hot and fresh. We were offered tap water as an extra drink. All dishes were delicious. Waggamama is a favorite place to eat for us and did not disappoint. Only 4 stars as I always feel its a bit pricey.

Amazing place with great staff. We arrived today and sat and waited to be seen. Maybe 2 to 4 minutes had pasted and a man and woman walked in and sat next to us. (Also waiting) a member of staff came and took the couple away to be seated not realising that we had been long. However this was seen by a senior member of staff who pointed out to the staff member who apologised immediately. 😊 Very happy. The service was impeccable I can't fault them at all. The food was fast and hot. Full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Had a number of starters cauliflower broccoli prawns chicken for starters. Ramen and curry for dinner it was amazing ❤️

The restaurant itself is a really nicely laid out one and very spacious, and the food is what we have come to expect from Wagamama’s, consistently tasty. Is it the best for the money you pay? I went to Wagamamas with my friends on a busy bank holiday Friday so we presumed it to be busy and adjusted our expectations for it. However it came to be way below that. My dish did not arrive after 40 minutes only to be told that the dish in question was not available and my order shouldn't have been taken in the first place while my friend also found a very large strand of hair in her food in which her conserns were initially dismissed. I would give it a 1 star if it wasn't for the work of Geo a waitress who helped us out through the night and made sure everything was fixed. She was lovely and even stayed after her shift to make sure we were satisfied, she truly saved a bad night. Thank you Geo, you're a star x

Disappointing, picked up a collection order and none of the delivery staff were wearing a mask properly and were allowed to cram into the lobby area, rather than wait outside. (I had to then join them to get my own food.) As I look around the chef isn't wearing his over his nose either. If businesses want our custom they should be doing their all to protect us when we do so.

The food indeed is delicious but: the meals were very dry ( Yaki Soba, Teriyaki Donburi). Only four, small shrimps and a few bits of chicken in Yaki Soba. Maybe this is the way they prepare these meals or maybe because it was delivered food. Definitely would like to try to eat in someday.

I love a Wagamas experience! Have been on a few times, and even done food for collection for a works lunch. The food is always so fresh and tasty, and if you have not been before, the food comes as its ready, so sometimes you can be served before another guest – but the food does make up for it. The smoothies are always a good choice of drink, but do have a range of drinks served at the bar. Not needed to book in advance for a table for two, but it does get fairly busy, so if you are looking to have a group of you I will recommend making a reservation. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, plus super helpful when it comes to wanting to explore a new dish!

I use to be big fan of Asian fusion and Wagamama in particular. Visited Cambridge branch couple times so when I learned about Peterborough opening it was welcomed news. Now I visited 4 times in total and on every occasion something wasn't just right. I don't tend to go out often as I rather cook myself so there is nobody else to blame if something its not completely as you would expect. Service here is fairly good it depends. On my last visit there was bit of plastic in the meal. Which was investigated at the kitchen level just to be told it's not them. Well thank you but I don't care if it's your kitchen or supplier down the chain, I didn't brought it with me. I wasn't fishing for free meal either. It was treated like it's actually my fault going by the whole setup and outcome. What I was excited about is been washed over by not so cool experience. The other times I had problems ordering, as they been out of number of things vs service that doesn't add up vs the cost of the overall experience. Will not rush to go back anytime soon, unfortunately.

Brill, went to a steak house near by for our wedding anniversary, it had positive Google reviews but it stank so we walked out. On the way back to the car we decided to just go to Wagamama's thinking it was just a standard food chain. Supprisingly they made our night with great food and better service. The food was exceptional and I'd be unhappy if anyone was interested and neglected to try it, wow. The staff saw that we didn't know how the experience works and made us feel welcome form the moment we went in. It's the small things that make restaurants great and they "get it". Was a big night for us as it was the first time out away from our little one. Excellent, keep it up.

Visited on Friday evening when the restaurant was not very busy. The waitress who seated us was friendly but staff were very quick to request our order. Once our mains had arrived no one checked on our meal and we had to ask somebody else to order some gyoza which took forever to arrive. Fantastic food. Short wait for seating. Portions are generous. Staff advised all the way through that food is not served at same time and see we hot as it comes out. Great place for eating out either lunch or evening dinner. Really have got an excellent menu catering for all, including a lot of vegan choices which is a bonus for me and a lot of us following the same dietary requirements. There service is quick, friendly and it doesn't break the bank. Green tea is free of charge which again is a nice bonus and the range of foods which are based around more of an Oriental cuisine are tasty, generous portion sizes and well worth the money.

As a lover of all Asian food I have no problem embracing the chain concept of wagamama. I always get a decent meal and this one was as good as always. Fried dumplings for starter, duck noodle dish for mains, both good. Service was efficient and friendly and although I always think it’s a bit pricey for a chain I had a good meal so can’t complain.

Great service, very clean, nice atmosphere. For the price charged it was average food, mine was teriyaki lamb ( chefs recommendation)which was some noodles which were okay and the lamb was way overcooked, chewy and no real teriyaki sauce or flavour it had a small smattering of asparagus, chilli, kale, mange tout £14.95. It wasn't horrendous just okay and felt like I didn't get value for money, it was a case of style over substance.

Does what it says on the tin. The food was up to the usual, reliable standard. There were a couple of minor quibbles. It took a surprising amount of time for our order to be taken and when it did arrive one of the dishes was slightly wrong (white rice instead of brown). Also my wife's green tea was, at best, warm rather than hot.

This was my second visit to Wagamama's. It was a lovely experience. I ordered from the vegan menu. Unfortunately they had run out of tofu which others I was with found disappointing. The waiter was very apologetic and offered us extra vegetables to compensate. Personally I would prefer extra veg to tofu any day so I was quite happy! The children demolished their noodles and our younger child was given a kids' version of chopsticks (akin to giant wooden tweezers) which they loved using. Chopsticks and spoons/forks are provided. As a group, we ordered vegan and meat based mains. Everyone was very happy with their food aside from the missing tofu, and the portion sizes were generous. We also ordered delicious side dishes. Food is served as it is ready. There was up to a fifteen minute difference between the first and last main coming out, however there were sides to snack on.

Food is always delicious in the Peterborough branch of wagamamas, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Meals are sometimes staggered when they come out, but that’s all part of the experience. We have on occasion had side dishes not turn up which we’d ordered, but we also weren’t charged for them - you might need to remind a passing waiter if you’ve been waiting for a while!

It is pure pleasure to visit this restaurant. Staff is always pleasant and makes you feel welcomed even when place it is packed. The restaurant is nicely designed, all facilities are always very clean. The food is great, and you wont need to wait for and hour to get it. Im highly recommend this place. Especially for a friend gatherings (tables are perfect for it ), or a cosy date just for two. I will definitely return to this restaurant !

Not cheap but good value Asian Japanese restaurant. Quick service in long tables of freshly prepared food from open kitchen. Very clean loos. In fact whole place clean and crisp. Many young come here as well as older folks. For those on special diet they offer , on their be tablet, a full breakdown of each meal...calories, fat, cholesterol, salt, carbohydrates, sugars etc. They offer vegetarian meal and Vegan options on some of those.

So I've just ordered through deliveroo. Normally the delivery is really quick, however this was over an hour and I was starting to get a little frustrated. I get the order and my mood was completely turned around. It explained that the driver had arrived late so they made the order fresh for me. Disappointing. Group of 4 adults. Slow service; 15 mins to be able to order drinks and another 15 and three reminders to staff before they arrived. Food was also disappointing. Slow to take the order 20+ mins after arriving and not good value. Mine was a big pile of rice and little in the way of meat and veg. We all said we'd rather go to a local independent Eastern restaurant nearby and pay a bit more.

Never really thought wagamamas was anything to write home about. The good was fresh and nice but I always thought the portion size was to small. However, for some reason, wagamamas Peterborough seem to have much larger portion sizes so now I love it!!! The only thing I don't like is when I say I have a peanut allergy, I have to go through a whole ring binder and procedure with the manager. It's gotten to the point where I'd rather not say I've got an allergy now. I understand it's a safety thing and a few places do it now but Jesus, they take it too far. I dislike reviewing franchises, because a lot of the issues I tend to have with these sort of places are thoroughly out of the hands of the staff of any select branch. So first of all: the food was nicely cooked and came quickly, the servers were friendly and the place was clean and well-looking. No issue there. But, in the grander scheme of things, the Menu at Wagamama's is just a bit too "Japanese but to suit the tastes of British people" for me to really enjoy. That is to say, broadly under-seasoned and featuring an eclectic combination of flavours when I'd want would be something simple and flavourful. I know it's silly to complain about fusion-food within a fusion chain, but considering this is the closest I can get to a bowl of ramen or a portion of Japanese curry in Peterborough (unless I make it myself, of course) I'd like to think I might be allowed to whine a little. For instance, why have tea-stained eggs, if you could have miso-eggs instead? It's a bit frustrating to only have a well-cooked, but never-quite-right version of something you crave available to you.

I had Chilli Ramen with sirloin steak... the broth was lovely and warming, with a good amount of sliced chilli to add a kick! The steak was gorgeous! I had expected a much lower quality bit of meat considering it was going into broth but it was so juicy, tender, and delicious! Fried duck gyoza side were a lovely contrast, fruity and crunchy! Loved every bite and slurp! My partner had the short-rib ramen and the rib was perfect! Easily pulled off the bone and wonderful flavour! Couldn't have asked for better on a cold icy day! Situated in Peterborough town centre, the restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere. There is plenty of seating, the staff are attentive and friendly and the food is very good. (I'd definitely recommend the Way Ramen, Katsu curry and the edamame). They also have a few good vegan options!
