Reviews of Bistrot Pierre
E. R.
Delicious food, great service, friendly staff. Been to this restaurant multiple times already and enjoyed myself every time. Some good meat-free options and customisations available. The interior itself is nice, cofy atmosphere.
J. B.
We stayed at Rooms by Bistro Pierre and had breakfast here for three days. Cappuccino with Full English, Eggs Benedict, and Omelettes. All were good to very good. Oue last night we elected to have dinner here. The service was very good. The food except for the dessert was disappointing. The French Onion Soup was on the sad side with a micro encroute. My husband's Duck Breast was over-cooked, not a bit of pink to be seen. My Steak Frites were fine. The Chocolate Pot dessert was fantastic, really outstanding! We paired it with lovely Espresso Martinis. I would definitely recommend going for coffee, breakfast and dessert. Dinner, not so much.
B. h.
Very delicious food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. We went on a weekend and booked table in advance.
Definitely will go back there.
K. R.
It was our youngest son's 18th birthday - superb food and service. Thank-you to the team for making us so welcome and the suprise touch to our son's dessert. Looking forward to our next visit.
V. B.
An ideal spot for lunching. The menu is varied with at least two dishes for every dietary need. The food itself was tasty, cooked well and great value for money. There wasn't much waiting time between orders, and the waiters themselves were efficient. Couldn't ask for more.
D. C.
Absolutely love this place, great staff, great selection and amazing food!
H. G.
Excellent service and food a very friendly place and it felt very festive for Christmas 🎄 Very clean and despite how busy they all were they still smiled and made us feel special 😊
B.
Highly recommended! Been several times over the years and never had a bad experience. The food is delicious at prices I cant quite believe especially if you order from their set menu. A beautiful restaurant in a beautiful location. The staff are always very friendly, helpful and overall the service is fantastic. This is one of the best options for dining out in the whole of Plymouth. Very highly recommended.

I'd heard good things so thought I'd try it but the service wasn't great. Two of the bar staff didn't know how to make a dry martini, the third came and had to Google it and it took 14 minutes to get it made. We then sat at our table and had to wait another 19 minutes before any waiting staff spoke to us. I'm just glad there weren't any traffic wardens around as the delays made us overrun our parking time.
Despite this the food was good but because of the slow service I'd not hurry back.

Bistro Pierre, Plymouth is a lovely place housed is the old buildings of William's Yard, Plymouth. The menu is good, French, and a reasonable cost especially if you choose the Prix Fixe menu. There's a lovely special buzz in the place and most tables were taken. A great meal with only one small comment, the coffee was poor (very weak), but we commented on it and it was immediately replaced and not charged for. Well done Bistro Pierre!
A.
The best meal out we've ever had! Went there for our wedding anniversary. They were short staffed but the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after. The food was fantastic! The flavours were outstanding and food was presented well. Will definitely be back!

Booked here for a Thursday night. Food and drink was lovely. I had the calamari followed by coq au vin (a special at time of writing) and creme brulee. Husband had mushrooms followed by pork medallions and Eaton mess. He had some cider and I had a couple of glasses of house rose. Lovely evening, food was great. Staff were attentive without being over the top. It was a warm night so all the windows and doors were open - gave it a lovely airy feel.
J. B.
Had Christmas dinner here and wasn’t disappointed. Excellent food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Even though they were busy we couldn’t of asked for better service. Will definitely be booking again
S. B.
Lovely venue, went to the early performance at the theatre and supper at the Bistrot Pierre . Lovely atmosphere, great food and lovely staff. It was a tad noisy but they were pretty full of people chatting and enjoying themselves. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
K. H.
Excellent venue to have a meal before catching the ferry.
Food, service and location perfect
M. M.
My experience at the Bistrot Pierre was tremendous. Food was delicious, hot and came on time. Service was good and staff were really friendly. I went there for my 25th birthday and had a wonderful time.
Would definitely recommend for anyone thinking of going. ☺️

Table service was I credibly slow on Friday morning when we were in a rush to get to a wedding and when it arrived the "poached eggs" were like rocks. They were exchanged but of the 2 new ones one was also like a rock. I had a pastry breakfast on Saturday morning which was very nice along with a lovely yoghurt, granola and berries. The Rooms we stayed in were very nice.

Normally really like it in here and have rated it high previously, food is nice and so are the cocktails, BUT came in recently and Karen, maybe a manager, spoke to me and my friends so rudely. Didn't crack a smile and flat out refused to serve us outside, just a "no I'm not doing that" instead of explaining why. She came across like she couldn't be bothered throughout the whole meal, didn't look at us taking the order or anything, until the very end when I asked to take the tip off the bill.... then she seemed to realise and gave a big smile and a chirpy thanks for coming, completely changed into a person we would have gladly tipped! So strange. Not seen her here before but if she is the manager, then she might be better off employing other people front of house.
K. B.
Lovely Christmas outing. Great food, drinks, company and a special shout out to our waiter Connor who made the experience so lovely. Very attentive and accommodating. Thanks again, we will be back soon xx
J. G.
The food is generally good, & nicely presented but they are, inexplicably, incredibly mean with their vegetable accompaniments, if indeed one is lucky enough to get one at all! A recent lunch there of a very nice hake fillet was disappointingly bereft of vegetables, bar two minuscule cherry tomatoes. Come on Pierre's........ vegetables are not expensive; 'push the boat out a bit!'
C. L. R.
A really nice place with fantastic friendly staff in a very ambient venue. Sadly, the food was quite mediocre, unseasoned and quite bland. As much as I enjoyed the place and staff, it's pretty doubtful I'll go back. This place is capable of so so much better quality. A real shame.
K. D.
Whilst the food deserves 5 stars the venue itself is too open, too crammed with tables, and as a consequence, too loud to hold a conversation at a normal speaking level. For a restaurant charging premium prices I expect much better so will not be going back.
b. l.
Had a fantastic cream tea here, great staff excellent place to go really good atmosphere!! The cream tea was really lush! Everyone should go!
Adding another section to this review we had sunday dinner here at the weekend and WOW the service is brilliant no rush a really lazy day! Now the food well it was probably the best food I have had in a very long time so much flavour and cooked perfectly! Well done everyone!! Lisa was a great waitress well done!! 🌟🌟🌟⭐⭐⭐🌟🌟🌟⭐⭐🌟🌟
K. o.
Enjoyed a leaving meal with work friends here. The food was lovely and served in a timely manner and all of the team were really friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
S. J.
Very crowded and noisy with Xmas parties when we went. Food good..I had a tasty beef bourgignon...but staff were rushed off their feet and service slow. Not a pleasant experience.
B. B.
Food was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced
K. C.
Everything about our visit was excellent, a charming waiter, prompt service and delicious reasonably priced food with a drink thrown in. Best eating experience I have had in a long time.
C. P.
The food was good and the place was really clean. Can't rate the atmosphere as we were the only group there as it was close to closing new yrs day on Sunday, however the service was still there
C. M.
Great place, with great food. Service a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry, so it didn't matter. Lots of noise and hubbub, so a good atmosphere.
L. C.
Amazing service and even more amazing food. Incredible value for money. We had scallops (special) and prawns for starters, chicken chasseur and duck leg (special) for mains and crepe and crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was absolutely amazing. The crème brûlée was a tiny bit burnt around the edge but was still incredible.
D. R.
First time at this restaurant and what a lovely setting and food and service was amazing, the staff really went the extra mile 👏
C. F.
Visited today with three other people. Lovely surroundings and all kept clean including the toilets. Excellent food and service at a reasonable price (£13.95 for 3 courses). I had the beetroot and goats cheese salad/ricotta,spinach and mushroom balls in tomato sauce /passion fruit posset and it was delicious. Paris and Harry that served us were excellent. love it here!
J. S.
Saturday evening meal spent with friends was a huge disappointment, due to lack of supplies fish dishes were limited , the starters were very small and the mussels for the main course had forgotten to grow! Final straw they had no milk for coffees ! I’ve had several enjoyable meals at Pierre’s before but not this time
P. S.
Stayed in the 'Rooms' for 4 nights so had breakfast each day along with one lunch and an evening meal and every plate of food was perfect, good value, good service, and exceptionally tasty.
M. M.
Great restaurant but portions are small though and over priced. Small Steak frozen chips from a bag small handful of lettuce.£21.
P. T.
Nice cafe-bistro, lovely setting in the historical Royal William Yard. Nice welcome. Great menu, lovely food, excellent service and great value for money. Had the steak bavette with chips and garlic-parsley butter. Husband had the three course menu at £22 including a glass of wine (avail Mon-Thu). Joined the reward scheme and already received next menu offer. Will definitely comeback.
t. m.
Food was nice put service was a let down, we were offered water for the table but while other tables were getting theirs ours failed to show after asking too
We also noticed all the other tables getting a basket of bread prior to their food, this was not offered to us, we was looking forward to a Sunday roast but when we tired to order this we were told that it was sold out and that we should come early to avoid disappointment even though the Sunday roast is served every Sunday “all
day”. We ordered a fata cheese risottos and when they came we had to eat them with folks, these hadn’t been reduced fully so we’re a bit watery, we asked for spoons but they never turned up. We were offered water for the table again this didn’t show either and you get to a point where you just stop asking. Mains came so ordered another round of drinks asked twice about them and they finally turned up halfway through desert. All in all food was ok service was terrible, glad we were only passing through
E. Y.
Food was OK but I wouldn't hurry back to go again. Over priced and not that special tbh. However service was friendly.
K. P.
The servers are really kind. Good food amd comes out in good time. We had a lovely afternoon! The area is absolutely stunning!
J. M.
Lovely food, friendly staff, great location.
V. D.
Delicious food, great service...what more could you want?!
h. o.
Great service and good food allthough the portions are normal human portion size and my hubby and teen son had to grab a maccys on the way home, my son asked for brown sauce on his fancy French meal and you know what, they graciously found him some brown sauce and bought it out in a dinky little bowl
M. T.
Cotehele is a lovely Tudor house set high above the Tamar. The house is steeped in history and the volunteers staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.
Just remember the house is open from 11am - 4pm. If you are a National Trust member its free. If not, and you are with the family, it can be costly.
The gardens are stunning in season and beautiful the rest of the year. I would say they are 'reasonably' accessible. We had a pram and this limited access to some parts of the garden for us. The gardens are open from 10am - 5pm.
The barn cafe was busy when we arrived, so there was a period of waiting to be served. The food was was excellent but not inexpensive. As you would expect from the National Trust.
Being in such a beautiful rural location the road to Cotehele can be a challenge especially in the busy holiday periods.
If you are planning a visit l recommend you visit the historic Quay and boats first. There is a carpark next to the quay and a small cafe in the old mill. Once you have done this you can drive up to the upper carpark and head over to the house and gardens. Or if you are up for it you could walk up to house!
C. W.
Always excellent.
Options to recommend on here don't cover the menu.
Our other selections were great.
A. L.
Very nice ambience and great french food. But they could do with proper serviettes rather then cheap paper ones. 😕
L. B.
Great food. Clean and pleasant restaurant. Great, hardworking staff (thanks Lewis) and gorgeous food.
S. W.
Had a problem with one of the meals but the staff were fantastic and sorted it without any fuss and satisfactorily!!
L. P.
Fantastic service and very friendly staff. They were very accomodating. The food was cool to how we ordered but was of mid/standard quality. Steak was tough and poor quality. Starters were good and deserts were poor. Overall good for the money but not what you'd expect from somewhere with a name like Bistro Pierre
l. m.
Visited 03/03/2022 for pre booked lunch for two at 1.p.m. Not packed, but "ticking over nicely". Arrived a little early but greeted and seated immediately by very pleasant young man. Drinks ordered and menu given within 5 minutes. Unfussy, but very friendly and efficient service. Food arrived promptly and was delicious. (Chicken Chasseur) We had sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownies for dessert. Again, served promptly, and delicious. If I was currently employing staff the people I interacted with today would be exactly the sort of people I would be looking for. The whole team should be extremely proud of what they are offering their customers. Bill came to a little over £50 including 2 pints of beer and 2 glasses of wine. Excellent value. Will certainly be back soon. Well done!
R. G.
Really great food and friendly staff. The area is a very interesting ex-military complex with a great seat on the coast. The hotel rooms were nice, although parking was very confusing (I paid £10 for 24 hours when is was quoted as free) and didn't get much sleep from noise happening everywhere
N. T.
After visiting this restaurant mid week I was pleasantly surprised with the menu, they offered a good range of food! I purchased the calamari which was a good sized piece of squid! I also got the deep fried Brie which was the best I have ever had! And the burger was enjoyable. I would return again.
A. S.
Lovely meal, not overpriced, good atmosphere and very friendly staff
C. B.
My husband and I had a rare day away from the children and booked this place for a lunch out. We had a wonderful time. We had the Prix Fixe menu which was very reasonable and included more options than we had expected. The food arrived quickly and was utterly delicious. We will definitely be returning. 😊
H. C.
My and friends popped in for cocktails, they where lovely, staff friendly fantastic services. Will definitely go back and have food next time
B. W.
Very good all round great staff our favourite restaurant.
P. B.
Had the 6 course set menu, very good value and quality food. Slightly let down in the end as my daughter was offered iced coffee instead of the normal hot coffee this never turned up as there are no coffee syrups kept on the premises and was unable to actually produce a iced coffee. I which case why offer iced coffee?
Went for the mother's day meal. Generally it was OK, service was slow as there isn't many staff and not all advertised meals were complete as my main meal was missing the potatoes.
M. S.
Fabulous atmosphere, friendly, attentive staff & a varied, well -priced menu. Our meals were lovely and waiter was super helpful. We will definitely visit again.
L. M.
Long delay, about 50 minutes between ordering and being. Maitre de did give us a round of drinks on the house, which was a nice touch and apologised for the delay. Otherwise a lovely meal. We'll be back when next in Plymouth.
G. H.
Really good food and service, the three course package is really good value for money
c. s.
We only stopped for a quick coffee. The lovely Lisa was so friendly.Resteraunts need more staff like this.
T.
Excellent central location in royal William yard gorgeous food and lovely decore and nice full menu with friendly staff.
J.
Lovely restaurant, great staff, food disappointing. Chose the beliye pork!
e. v.
Great menu, well made and the service is always top tier.
K. T.
Lovely welcoming friendly staff. Service was good made a few errors with your peserta but it happened. But did not dampen the night. Cannot fault the hard work the staff put in so we had a great night thank you.
K. Y.
Service was very poor & we had to repeatedly ask where drinks & food were!! My husband's fish was dried up & my sons steak fritters were tough!!!! Would have expected far more considering what we paid !! Won't go back
A. N.
My partner and I love it here. We try to get here at least once a month. The food is fantastic , the drinks are great. The service is excellent to the point that I like to pay in cash to be able to leave a decent tip for the waiter. Nothing is too much trouble. Thoroughly recommended.
N. S.
Food just never quite reaches the hieighrs you expect or want. Good service and setting though
K. M.
Super place, manager Karen is a great host and very helpful 👍
K. S.
Xlent food - fine dining
Quite good price especially 3 courses and drinking £22...
Slow service 3courses 3 hours...
A. W.
Anniversary meal in the early evening, felt that the staff were struggling with the amount of covers that had been booked in.
Not up to the usual standard of service we have been used to.
We will visit again soon and will hopefully be able to give a more positive feedback.
M. L.
We love eating at Bistrot Pierre, the settings within Royal William Yard make it a fantastic atmosphere. The food and service is always outstanding and will be coming back again.
Update June 22 - popped in for father's Day and wasn't disappointed. Roast pork belly yum!
Staff were friendly and happy to help. They didn't have any available high chairs when we arrived but we were happy to use the buggy but during the meal the waitress came over with one that had become free. It was very thoughtful.
E. L.
A very nice place to dine and we have enjoyed good meals there. Decided to treat ourselves with the jubilee afternoon tea which was nice but a bit underwhelming.
E. B.
Absolutely fantastic place with super friendly, helpful staff, happy customers and a great relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious, I had the pork medallions and they were incredibly tasty. Highly recommended 👌
M. V.
The best place to eat, friendly staff and very stylish interior.
p. m.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Sadly the food was not up to the mark. My wife’s house burger was barely warm and tasteless. I had the special Thai Halibut which lacked any Thai taste - overpriced. House wine was good.
D. J.
I have been around 4 or 5 times now, and cannot fault it at all. When things were up and down during the pandemic and hospitality was being messed around, they remained open as far as they could, and all of the staff still gave their utmost. Absolutely cannot fault. Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing scenery.
S. H.
We didn't eat we just had a drink.. The atmosphere is lovely.. The barman though was miserable didn't even say hello or smile.. just said 'yes' .. I'm glad I'm not that unhappy in my job :)
S. M.
Average visit. The first 3 items we tried to order weren't available and the noise level was intolerable.
A. C.
Lovely food, good prices. Only negative we came across was the lack of personality from one of the waiting staff. The other we're nice & welcoming!
A.
Always a pleasure!! This time the service was the absolute highlight. With some prior warning when booking, the gentleman and chef worked together in assisting someone in our group with very strict dietary needs and our guest couldn't have been happier with their solution.
We were a large group of 16 and they didn't have any issues in making room for us (we only gave them a few days notice!). We went earlier to take advantage of the Prix Fixe (available between 12-6pm) 2 courses for £13.95 and 3 for £15.95 and it was excellent value and very tasty.
I enjoyed the Deep Fried Brie with plum chutney for starter, Steak Frites with garlic butter and Creme Brulee for dessert.
Everything was delicious, our whole group was delighted at the service, tasty food and excellent value for money. It has a lovely vibrant French cafe feel too there.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for either a special meal (their monthly 6 course soiree gastronomique is AMAZING!) Or just casual relaxed dining, it fits the bill for both perfectly.
j. a.
Lovely food in outstanding setting of Royal William yard
P. L.
Excellent food and excellent staff.
P. T.
Really good meals, good size portions and good value, very tasty.
b. L.
All three friends enjoyed their lunch. It wasnt very different.
I. B.
Funky atmosphere, nice staff and the foods good
C. C.
Had a lovely meal here today, was very looked after and the food was just amazing, would 100% recommend coming in for a Sunday lunch, some of the best roast potatoes I’ve had!!! You’ll be seeing us again soon!
T. C.
Fabulous food and staff very friendly 👌
A. M.
Went for a Monday lunch. The place had a nice buzz, not too quiet. I didn't catch the waiter's name but he was really friendly and efficient. We had the fixe prix menu, it was great value for money and had plenty of choice. I would recommend.
G. P.
A really good menu with a range of vegetarian options too. The restaurant was quite quiet when I was there and drinks took a bit of time but no real drama. A good French range and affordable cuisine.
P. B.
Very nice Cappuccino, well presented and great taste. Takes a little while to get served sometimes as it is a busy place. Friendly and efficient service though.
D. C.
Excellent service and great food. The restaurant was buzzing whilst we were there. We stayed until it was almost closing time but we're not rushed out the door. I would certainly go there again.
K. C.
The young chef who did ours starter last Sunday did a very good job!!! The scalops was just fabulous. Thank you very much.
A. B.
I went there for a pre wedding celebration in a party of six. The location is amazing, the food was delicious and well priced. The service was efficient and the restaurant had a lovely, busy vibe. I would definitely recommend it.
A. m. &. b. h. s.
Celebrated a birthday breakfast that led into lunch 🤣. Karen our waitress was awesome so was the kitchen staff and the other gentleman working the restaurant. Food was fab and atmosphere was fabulous.
J.
The food was good but the service was ridiculously slow. We waited an hour in between our starters and mains. Dessert then took 45 minutes to arrive after ordering. Even though we weren’t in a massive rush it was annoying as we had young children with us. Also, when we asked about the length of time our food was taking the manager was really dismissive.
M. W.
Friendly and welcoming staff, great atmosphere, the food and service exceptional. I will return and recommend to my friends and family.
C. A. E.
Really good food. Very nice staff team. Beautiful place. Very good pricing
J. D.
Fantastic evening meal deal and even brought a candle out!
J. B.
Lovely food, excellent. Very short staffed, reason for not giving 5 stars, however lady in charge was very efficient and polite.
B. V.
quality meal, very nice dining experience, attentive staff..
M. N.
Really nice example of this chain. Good French styled food with a decent selection of courses and drinks. We had a reduced menu due to Covid, but nonetheless there was plenty to choose from. The service was excellent as well. We will definitely be back when we are next in Plymouth
m. p.
Visited the Plymouth venue for a 5:30 sitting on Thursdsy 1st for a birthday and think I'm being generous with a 3 star. Didn't have any drink order taken for 40 minutes and eventually had to ask again whilst our food was being served at about 50 minutes as to the whereabouts. Initially wasn't busy so no excuse there. Barman was full of chat- obviously not to customers and importantly found time to get his phone charger, oh and visit the toilet a couple times ( which if course he's entitled to do). Thankfully, a member of staff came back from his break and his service was great. Drinks came, food came, table cleared, more courses... so well done him. Hopefully he kept his tip as nobody else deserved any. Food was reasonably OK. Steaks, not overly impressive but that was probably down to choice. I'd think twice about going back so would not highly recommend.
A. B.
Really good food.great value and lots of choice.brilliant service.our waitress was called Jamie and she was lovly!!
Y. T.
We literally went out for a walk and ended up here for lunch without booking. The staff was so friendly and lovely, they offered us a table and looked after so well. Having been here for dinner a few nights ago, one of the team members even recognised us and came over to say hi, which was a very nice touch. It was burger day for all 3 of us and they were exceptional.
Thanks again Team Plymouth 💙
S. S.
Lovely staff and amazing breakfasts well worth the money
K. R.
Fairly run of the mill and dull food. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was pretty noisy in the restaurant even though no where near full. Food order was wrong when first came out but quickly rectified.
J. C.
Beautiful place, lovely food and staff
C. B.
Really lovely lunch spot, stopped here on a visit to Plymouth- really friendly and fast service and a nice atmosphere with good decor and music. Food arrived promptly, ordered two courses from the menu which were part of a deal where the cost of two courses comes to £12.95 - a really tasty starter (scampi) with generous portions alongside some lovely bread and butter. Main courses were delicious and served very quickly, all very tasty. Only criticism was that some of the vegetables on one of our plates weren't very well cooked. The rest was really great!
V. P.
Loved it. Great food and great value.
L. T.
Had a great meal there, lovely atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff.will definitely visit again.
N. B.
As ever, the room is lovely and the food lives up to expectations and is good value. The service was noticeably better than the last time we went, which was during the first relaxation of Covid-19 lockdown when all the staff were new. Thoroughly nice experience.
L. H.
Visited for the 1st time today. Amazing food, very good selection of drinks and the staff were top notch! 100% would reccomend. 10/10 will definitely come back again.
J. P.
This is a pleasant place to breakfast, lunch or dine out. Set within the walls of the historic Royal William Yard. My friend and I only had toast and tea but the cooked breakfasts were popular with other customers. Had to enquire why only served one slice when we had two each last time but that was rectified. The team are very casually dressed giving the place a laid back informal vibe.
J. S.
Lovely family meal good service really good food reasonably priced
C. P.
Excellent food, good range of glutten free, which is nice, as that I'd not always the case in restaurants, a place I will definitely go back to
L. M.
Great choice on the Menu, tasty food, friendly staff, great location, very good value. I am going to have to come back to try the other dishes. Highly recommended.
A. B.
Took 50 minutes for food to be served, and that was just the entrée. We were seated right next to the kitchen entry, and never once saw a staff member use the wall mounted Hand sanitation station clearly marked for them to use at all times during this pandemic. The food was really good, presentation was spot on and very tasty. Some disappointment with the entrées, 2 out of three had clearly been stood waiting a while so we're only just warm. We went on Father's Day so there was a restricted menu, that still had a lot of options. Good to see. All in all, it was OK. Can't say I would go back through.
R. H.
Had a fabulous meal for 4 here. Salvatore the manager was amazing and couldn't do enough for us. We absolutely love it here and have been regulars before Covid. The meal was fantastic and the service faultless. Felt really safe and with the one way system and social distancing it was absolutely fine. So good we returned for breakfast and had the most amazing omelette and coffee
C. E.
The setting is lovely, food is good and good value. Unfortunately though whilst the service is pleasant the wait times on a busy day are terrible! We waited 45minutes for a dessert that never arrived despite several reminders!
R.
Good overall mark.
The restaurant is not so good. I was expecting a very good steak, but was not so well cooked, and very nervy. Didn't enjoyed. My girlfriend meal was too peppered.
A good/bad point is the waitress/waiter. Almost all of them ad not experienced at all. That's good because they are full of good will, but we waited too long and I didn't saw any coordination ... They need to be better managed.
Beyond that the room was nice. Too warm (impossible to fully open the windows), but quiet. Having the night at the Yard is wonderful. We really enjoyed the place, you can get LOT of place in it if you rent a room (you don't pay your car park if so).
Disappointed by the meal, the surroundings were nice, the night too, and the breakfast (included) is good.
A place to recommend, but better to find another place for the meal (I found better !!!).

Great food, excellant staff

Monday evening very busy . Table booked for 7 but food wasn't served until 830 ! Maybe lack of staff! The girl waiting table was very pleasant. The food was delicious.

Food was good, service was not so good

We visited in July 2021 and sat outdoors - it’s a lovely setting overlooking a pretty green. We enjoyed the starters (a very fresh garden vegetable risotto and chicken liver pate) but felt the Thai salmon salad was so over-spiced with star anise we couldn’t taste anything else - to me a Thai salad uses sesame oil, lime, a splash of fish sauce and maybe some chilli but this salad appeared to just involve covering the salad with star anise - sadly, I had to leave half of it as it was inedible. Perhaps they should stick to French dishes? The puddings were great though - truly excellent creme brûlée. I’d say go, but stick to the French dishes!

A lovely atmosphere, beautiful surroundings. I went for a Christmas meal here, the food was tasty but, as with many restaurants, the chef needs to realise that vegans need a good sized meal, not small portions. Disappointed to pay so much for so little. But this is an easy fix and it's a lovely place to eat.
K. M.
Delicious drinks in a beautiful setting.
j. s.
Lovely food great staff. Lovely place for any are or occasion.
P. C.
Food and atmosphere amazing, staff super friendly and a brilliant location too. Highly recommended!
j. m.
Not the best dining experience ever but it was so very busy. Problems included a long delay in starting the meal despite booking and pre order done some weeks ago.
Dietary requirements overlooked, table water needed to be requested, another long delay between courses and steaks not cooked as requested.
The best bits were that staff remedied each problem. The manager was attentive and the food was quite nice. Chef did well given how busy it was. It wasn't awful but room for improvement.
M. W.
Lovely venue, cracking food and good table service.
L. T.
Our first meal out in a year, absolutely delicious food, excellent service, very attentive and charming staff. We treated ourselves to the filet steak which was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend to anyone.
V. M.
Always delicious food and good service.
K.
Lovely evening, although arriving late with only an hour to eat, the team member who served us did his best letting us know at 10pm we would have to leave but very good service and food quality very enjoyable.
Come visit if in royal William yard or even if your looking for a nice meal, many deals to be had especially if coming at the right time.
Will definitely come again.

We came to Bistrot Pierre in error. We couldn't park and our friend could walk no further.
My husband was in a wheelchair, someone found a ramp, and and cancelled our booking at Wildwood, everyone was so friendly and helpful, and while I felt that sewers a liability, we could not have been made more welcome. The food was absolutely delicious and, so reasonably priced.
So looking forward to returning, but, I think we will wait until the summer is over.
Thank you all so, so much for giving us such a lovely time
With best wishes

Visited twice whilst staying a night in Plymouth. First was just for a drink while walking around Royal William Yard in the evening, and, have to be honest, found the service to be too slow. Waited for ages for somebody to take our order ( outside tables for covid) but the delivery was ok. ( Tbh, this seemed to be a theme with the bars in RWY)
Also had breakfast in the Bistrot the following morning. Very helpful and attentive staff and a very good breakfast of juice and a choice from a very good and varied menu
J. H.
We had a great meal here on a Friday afternoon. They were very busy and the service was still very good. They even fitted in juggling groups as there were several large parties at the same time. All handled very professionally. The food was excellent. In all, a very satisfying experience. We will definitely eat here again.
C. B.
Very good. They are running a two course for £10 offer in January which I will absolutely be going to. The bartender was a professional at looking busy but he built my cocktail in the glass (French Martini) which detracted from the foam that should accompany the drink. J ended up drinking spirits and mixers. The waitress said she would return when our last party member arrived to get us a drink but we had to order from someone else when they arrived. Drinks are too expensive. Food 5*, service 4*, drinks 3*.
L. D.
The manager was so helpful and made sure we had a good lunch in the bar as we had a dog and couldn't eat in the dining room. What let it down was we ordered dessert which was left on the side for 20 minutes and was not up to standard. Wouldn't hesitate to go for a return visit.
L. B.
Lovely popular place for wonderful food. Set in Royal William Yards historical renovated buildings- beautiful restaurant. Friendly helpful staff and quick service. Great selection of fresh food on the menu prepared in the open kitchen for all to observe. Highly recommend you visit. Outside seating as well.
D. K.
My husband and I had a lovely 2 course meal tonight for £10 each, a special January offer. The meals were beautiful. We had never been to Bistrot Pierre but will definitely go again. Friendly, efficient staff.
Z. L.
Fantastic food, really enjoyed our meal here. Good service. I can recommend the duck salad. Currently has a one way system due to Covid but it works well. Good clean facilities and we'll spaced tables. Would go again happily.
D. H.
We have visited this restaurant quite a few times and love the food, location and atmosphere. The last three times, however, the service has been extremely slow, particularly between starter and main (about 40 minutes). The waiting staff are always friendly and professional but the kitchen staff appear to be uncoordinated and slow and therefore fall behind. We saw one of our mains sat on the servery for 20 minutes before it was joined by our other main.
It's a pity one of our favourite restaurants is letting itself down like this recently.
V. A.
Stopped here for a drink with friends just before lunch. Quite busy. Disappointed in lack of choice for draught beer/cider. The draught cider was not available and the only bottled cider available was a raspberry flavoured one which was not to my taste. The draught lager was okay. Did not have any food. All staff were helpful and pleasant.
K. N.
Perfect, staff really attentive and the food was delicious. Although I live in Liverpool when I come back to visit I will definitely rebook x
A. P.
We travelled from Canada for my 30th birthday and friends of ours, who are local to Plymouth, chose this restaurant to celebrate. There were over two dozen of us, so it wasn't a small party to serve. The wait staff were really exceptional and attentive considering how large our party was. They handled it very well! The food was really delicious - I had a goat cheese and onion tart that had perfectly balanced flavours, and the beurre blanc in the bowl was so good I could have drank it from a cup. I tried a bit of my husband's steak and it was good as well. Would have loved to revisit but our time was fairly short on this visit. Would recommend!
A. W.
Amazing atmosphere. Super food choices. Steak cook perfectly!!!! Will back as soon I can !!!!
L. E.
Stayed for 1 week in these beautiful rooms, great breakfast in the bistro daily.
Royal William yard is a lovely setting, with enough good food restaurants and bars to eat somewhere different every night.
It also made a great base for exploring the devon and Cornwall coast.
Would definitely recommend
G. P.
I have only been going to this Bistrot for a few months and have been 6/7 times. Each time I have had a different meal and have enjoyed all of them. If you have not tried it yet it definitely worth a visit. Best to book a table as it gets pretty busy if going in the late afternoon or evening.
D. S.
We've been twice now and have to say the food and service is splendid.
Service is way above average and food service is speedy and polite.
My wife enjoyed her Chicken dish and I really liked the Mushroom ravioli.
All gluten free and vegetarian food is well marked on the extensive menu.
It's nice to arrive early and sit outside in the sun. If the weather is rainy the inside cocktail bar is great for socialising before dinner.
Five Stars

Very helpful staff , dining section always full, very popular. Small seating area around the bar for those that just want to go in and have a drink. Great atmosphere, some Cornish ales as well as uk/continental lagers. Breakfast reasonable, small full English for under £5, upwards. Lunch and dinner medium priced. Recommended.
J. M.
We were there today and had have no booking.
But the food and drinks was delicious.
Service perfect
Food(Steak and bass) amazing
Drinks good
So we will be back soon !
R. C.
One of my favourite restaurants in plymouth. Food is great atmosphere is relaxed the location is perfect with many bars in the Royal william yard to go to after as well as the stunning surrounding views if the sound
E. M.
Excellent night out. An exciting friendly buzz for atmosphere. Lovely attentive staff. Food was delicious and bartender did an excellent job on the cocktails.
p. b.
As usual. A very lovely lunch and excellent food and staff are so welcoming and friendly. I must say the menu is excellent value for money. And arrives freshly cooked and hot. Equally, the evening meal is always top class. Cannot fault the menu and service at the Plymouth Bistro Pierre's.
P. H.
My wife and I enjoy coming here as they regularly do discount menu options for mother's day and other occasions. The quality of the food is also usually very good for a chain restaurant.
The staff are always friendly and helpful and there's the option to sit outside if the weather is good. Plus it's location in the Royal William is very nice, especially if you've not visited Plymouth before or not been into that area itself.
A. C.
One of the best places to eat and be seen in Plymouth! Not the cheapest, but they don't set out to provide cheap food. In life, you get what you pay for. They have worked hard to provide safe socially distanced eating with tables indoors and out. Taxi to and from is a good idea if it works for you, as parking is at a premium.
M. T.
Just had an excellent breakfast , 1st class food , impeccable service from all staff especially Jamie Lee , thank you 🤗
J. D.
Just shared a great meal with friends here on our travels through the UK. The atmosphere is perfect, and the cocktails were delicious. While the food was also delicious, what completed the evening was the friendly and courteous staff. I highly recommend Bistrot Pierre.
J. M.
I thoroughly recommend this restaurant for lunches and dinners. Superbly cooked food, and flavours you will yearn to linger. Christmas menu active at present, but great variety to suit all palates. Choose from 2 and 3 courses for £16.95 and £18.95 respectively, in a spacious eating area, with friendly service and warm ambience. Visited 4/12/18

My fiancé choose this restaurant for a small celebration dinner for two. Booking the table was easy online, and so was changing the time. Service was excellent throughout.
We chose starters very well. The baked goats cheese and the chicken liver parfait were incredibly delicious. For mains we had the Beef Bourgogne, which was really flavoursome and cooked to perfection, and the duck breast. I asked for it to be well done, which made it a bit chewy, but that was my bad choice. Otherwise it was a lovely dish. Finally, desserts were pretty good too. The sticky toffee pudding was the lightest I ever tried and the lemon tart was delicious. The only thing that wasn't as expected, on the menu the lemon tart was listed with raspberry sorbet, but it was served with blackcurrant sorbet without prior warning, a flavour I don't particularly like.
Overall it was a lovely dinner and a lovely culinary experience.
J. I.
Seems to be appealing to an odd mix of patrons; ranging from the elderly to an apparently newly wed couple. Not my taste but I can't drop them a star as it looks like quite some effort has been put in to make a standard warehouse space seem more visually appealing. Food is reasonable, though forgettable. Bathrooms were by far the best bit; clean and well appointed. It seemed they were ahead of the race on social distancting when we went, even though our visit was long before COVID.
C. R.
Wow wow wow. Let me start at the beginning first opinion lack of staff behind the bar as i waited a while for a beer but that was cause of our guest numbers and time but after that was easy to get a drink. The steak I have was phenomenal 100% one of the best steaks I've had in Plymouth..
n. w.
Super food & lovely service. Prices very reasonable - great atmosphere - though ran out of some of the menu options.
v. n.
Always amazing, quick service, lovely food and great cocktails 🍸
R. S.
If you like French food - this place is a must!
Exceptionally fine food and great service. I enjoy every visit and always go for something new. Staff are really efficient and always happy.
It can be pricey but the standard of the food is definitely worth it!
C. C.
Fabulous food. Just come back from a holiday in Normandy and the food was as good if not better. My wife is gluten intolerant and there was plenty for her to choose from off the menu. Really enjoyed it thank you to the chef and our great waiter Ashleigh.
J. S.
Lovely place to go for breakfast. Tasty food in a brilliant location.the lunch menu looks great too. Parking right outside.
S. T.
Really great place with lovely decor. Staff are friendly and attentive without being overly so. Great menu and the deals before 6pm are really good. A great place to have a good meal.
P. B.
Great food, attentive staff, lively atmosphere... it's all good!
S. W.
Great food but very disappointed that I told 2 members of staff I could not scan their app for covid - 1 told me she would come back and the 2nd said she would send the manager. No one came, no one checked to see if we had checked in! People came in the exit door - nothing g was said - poor show
D. P.
I really like the food here. We come alot as a couple but the other day decided to go as a family as we had people visiting. The only issue I had (or more my wife really) was the gluten free options. Please make sure you check if they have stuff in stock before you go because they were sold out of gluten free bread. Which if your choosing that as a lifestyle choice is fine but if it's a medical issue you have to eat that type of food then it can be very frustrating to be told you can't have some as basic as bread. Also side note the waiting staff at our table told my wife not to touch the bread (not gluten free) that was for the other diners. While that sounds good as advice it was said in a condescending manner, which again very frustrating.
K. M.
Nice cosy setting pork medallions were lovely staff friendly
m. h.
The meal was exceptional the staff were efficient and professional also extremely helpful there will be more visits to Bistrot Pierre and also will recommend them.
T. D.
Been a while since we visited.
Service outstanding and food to die for. Just checking my calendar to see when we can book again.
M. M.
Surprise anniversary meal booked by the wife lovely food and great service and a lovely little touch on the pudding
a. b.
Lunchtime visit, we were there at 12pm it was virtually empty , it quickly started to 'fill up' as we found out why.
Food was wonderful- Smoked Haddock Rissoto to start and Hake for main . My guest had the Surf'n' turf combination. Everything Very tasty , faultless
You can watch the food being cooked from fresh.
The staff were also faultless.
Given everything mentioned above the Lunch menu is great value. Easily recommend to anyone
Well done
E. S.
Was ok, nothing special, were really short staffed but not their fault, just meant we were waiting for a long time to be seated even though we'd booked.
H. S.
We visited Pierre Bistro as the first restaurant experience as lockdown measures have begun to ease. Not only was the food delicious (and the beer) but the waiting staff were very attentive and helpful, and took the time to ensure we felt comfortable and explained how they were adapting their establishment to COVID guidelines. Would highly recommend!
M. P.
Good service but food mediocre. My niece's Fish Cake was terrible, found bones, dry and no sense of Thai flavours. Waiter was very good and didn't charge us for it.
H. J.
Very good food, beautifully presented, you don't have to wait long. Super chef "Magda", will always recommend something good to eat. Very nice atmosphere. I come to this restaurant often. Thank you 😊😊😊
P. J.
Very busy but everything ran smoothly
S. C.
Pierre's used to be our favourite breakfast venue but, over the last few years, it's lost its appeal. The staff are rushed off their feet! Mistakes result and little things like getting a coffee can take ages. We keep trying in the hope it will be restored to the relaxed and enjoyable experience it once was.
N. G.
Nice atmosphere for a big chain. Reasonable wine list. Food prompt and well presented

Summary ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Food & Drink 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The food and drink at Bistrot Pierre is always excellent. At every one of their locations it has always impressed me. Everything is well proportioned and extremely well cooked. I fully recommend their Soirée Gastronomique when you get a good deal and wines matched to the food. They are the second and fourth Tuesday of the month and you enjoy six courses of freshly prepared French-style bistrot cooking for just £23.95.
Ambience 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
We visited on a Tuesday evening, and Bistrot Pierre were still participating in the COVID-19 Eat out to Help Out scheme, and it had a decent number of people in. It is well laid out with a one-way system to cope with social distancing and the décor, and the feel was very pleasant indeed.
Accessibility 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The entrance, seating area and toilets are wheelchair accessible and on the same level.
Cost 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The cost of the food and drinks was very reasonable - even before the Eat Out to Help Out discount was applied. The bill, after discount, came to £120 for 4 people, with 3 courses each and drinks.
Service 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The service was very good. A slight mistake with one of the side dishes - which was quickly rectified - but very good and very pleasant.
Summary 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Bistrot Pierre is always good - every location I have visited has been a little different, but always very good. It is, without doubt, my favourite chain restaurant. The Plymouth restaurant is really good, and well placed in Royal William Yard. I've really enjoyed my meals every time I've been here, and will be back many times…
J. B.
Nice location and friendly service and staff but rather let down by noticeably slow delivery at a time when it was not busy. Good looking menu but we were just having a drink so didn't sample the food.
J. M.
Lovely food, great atmosphere and service really good. Have never had a bad meal here and it's lovely to then spend the rest of the evening in different venues around Royal William Yard. Would highly recommend.
d.
Lovely visit. Quickest drinks from the bar I've ever had . Much better service with less tables . All staff in masks hand gel on entrance. I just hope they can still make a profit. Thanks covid.
L. R.
Usually exceptional food at a great price. Must be suffering due to the pandemic because the last couple of times have been just OK.
J. D.
Superb location. Excellent restaurant.
A. P.
Had a lovely birthday meal with the family lovley food staff very good friendly we were well looked after thank you for a lovely eve
R. G.
Great value for money and high quality, fresh and delicious food. A three course lunch will set you back as little as £13.95 untill 16:00pm. Some specials may include a small supplement charge.
I. I.
Was great for breakfast, great food, atmosphere and service from Karen, she was a gem.
C. J.
Lovely food but service wasn't great. Slow to start but then rushed out with the bill no offer of another drink. Would still visit again.
A. T.
Arrived late. My mistake! Were seated quickly, had a lovely meal with excellent service. Thank-you everyone.
S. I.
The food was realy good staff all friendly and helpful brilliant ambiance
k. w.
Food was lovely but service was very slow. Hardly anyone in there. Had to run back to car as only had 2hr ticket. Thought that would have been ample. Saying that, we will definately return
G. L.
The food is very nice, the service is so hit and miss though, I don’t mind if I have to wait awhile for my food if the server is attentive and keeps me informed. Today I was pretty much ignored for the first 1 1/2 but then Ash took over my table and really went out of his way to look after me, just being friendly and noticing when I needed something. Wish they were all like this
R. H.
I'm not normally one to go overboard about hotel rooms unless I'm there for more than one night, however for service, quality and the breathtaking location nothing to fault. Breakfast was plentiful and very good value for money. My new place to stay in Plymouth.
g. h.
Having won a New Years Eve prize at this restaurant we were invited to a free meal and hotel stay. I have to say the food was excellent as was the service. Thank you. It was a very pleasant night.
K. D.
I do not normally revue establishments on line. My belief is an establishment is only as good as the last time you visit. However, Le Bistrot Pierre has not only become my local ' eatery' it has become my local bar/pub. I am just finishing an excellent meal ( on my own) whilst writing. In my wide experience the food is imaginative, well prepared and of great value. The staff are on the whole exceptional. I eat and drink here frequently and have been rewarded not only by the experience but what has developed from a simplistic, but now exceptional loyalty scheme. My experience has been mirrored across the chain in the most excellent Torquay establishment. Do not let the word ' chain' put you off......this is a chain that gives its bistros a unique identity and staff team, with the consistency of well priced food, drink and above all HOSPITALITY!

Turned up to the restruant out of the blue and they had no room but quickly accommodated us. After a short wait at the bar we had a table. Food was prompt and tasted fantastic. 100% reccomend the garlic mushrooms!
S. H.
We had a large party of 35 here, Le Bistrot Pierre were so professional and easy to communicate with they made it really easy to arrange. The service on the night was perfect, lovely staff, fantastic venue and really great food! Can't recommend Le Bistrot Pierre highly enough for both large and small parties.
A. F.
Love to lunch here. Great place to meet a friend, or family get togethers. Eating here feels like a treat without the heavy cost.
D. E.
Not as good as previous visits. Good food not hot enough. Medium steak served up rare!! V busy. If you take extra bookings u need extra staff. Atmosphere and staff always pleasant.
M. F.
I recommend !!
The best restaurant in town , fresh food , served on time .
Very nice service....

Lovely food was a different experience eating outside but enjoyable non the less, staff very friendly will be revisiting soon.
Y. K.
This establishment never disappoint. However, breakfast omelette was with broccoli instead of advertising spinach. No explanation given.
R. J.
Excellent food, staff very efficient and friendly. Service very good and your not kept waiting between courses. Has a separate bar if you only want a drink.

Went early evening for the fixed price menu....disappointed that the 3 course fixed only applied at lunch time. Fabulous food...very pleasant staff...great atmosphere. Wine a bit expensive...couldn't hear the music. Overall a lovely experience.

Fabulous service and really lovely staff who went out of their way to provide amazing customer care, particular thanks to Aaron and Charlotte for making our lunch at Bistro Pierre so memorable for our special family occasion. The food was delicious,we will definitely be back. Thank you.

Food was very good but took a long time to be served to us.

Gorgeous food - really fresh, incredible tastes, presented really nicely. Fantastic, very attentive, helpful staff, lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back for more soon! Thank you Bistrot Pierre!

Have had nothing but amazing food and a pleasant time every visit, would highly recommend.

Came here for a work Christmas meal. Food was delicious, the staff were so organised, half of us couldn't even remember what we'd ordered but they used our names while serving our food which also added that personal touch. Reasonably priced too.
K. S.
Had the most amazing afternoon tea with friends. Friendly and welcoming staff and the place was beautifully decorated for Christmas

For me the experience was good.I had a starter of deep fried brie, which was enhanced with chutney and green garnish, followed by a beautiful cod steak wrapped in bacon. It was served on spinach, and a delicious creamy sauce.Really yummy,I would certainly order it again.Service was good, and the atmosphere was welcoming.

In last Sunday was very good food ! I recomended!
K. G.
Food was lovely, but service was really poor. Don't know if they were new, but it took 15 minutes to get our sauces after our meal arrived (had to ask twice!), table was left half cleared, struggled to get a drink... and so on. Real shame as it's usually great in there.
T. M.
Nice atmosphere, very good service, and the meals were superb.
Z. C.
Amaizng food, service and wine. Cannot fault the place. It is pricey but it's worth the money. The deco is suitable for couples and middle aged people. Not suitable for children in my eyes as very quiet and up market place.
D. “. C.
Very nicely laid out and decorated with a brilliant afternoon tea offer. Excellent food and really good value
I. W.
Good deals, friendly waitress, and the food and matched wine are a nice touch. I didn't think their wine choices were the best match though, and more based on budget than anything else.
F. G.
Amazing service and fantastic food. Whole table of 23 enjoyed the evening.
P. T. (. B. F.
Beef was tasty but tough, lunch menu was varied and well priced. Staff were fine, except chefs could be seen outback when we were leaving, they were smoking and carrying preprepped food.

Lovely lunch menue at very good prices, very happy atmosphere and the food was very tasty, will be going again soon.

Had another fantastic lunch today. The food is always perfectly cooked, staff are brilliant. Make sure you book early to save disappointment on the day

Very pricey, took our order then totally forgot to bring the tea across, had to chase a few times. Eventually got the tea but had finished our food by then. Not that busy so no real excuse delays.

Still working hard on Christmas eve.

Amazing delicious food! Just the right portions (I had the special which was Morrocan Lamb).
Great Service. We'll keep coming back!

Amazing place. High quality food at pub grub prices, lots of special deals and a fairly generous rewards scheme. Staff are excellent too.
J. W.
Excellent service and the food was excellent 👌 I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely go again 😋

Decent French food at very competitive prices. Good wine selection and unbeatable terrace if the weather is good. Waitress that day was under par but manager stepped in efficiently.
C. G.
Good menu, fast service and friendly staff. Very busy even at a midweek lunchtime do book in advance. Worth every penny. Beautiful surroundings at King William Yard.

Always great service from a friendly polite front of house, food again top notch. Distancing etc always kept in place well. Feel always safe and valued
K. P.
Excellent food, well presented and served by attentive staff in a convivial atmosphere. I will most certainly return and eat there again.
P. W.
Mediocre food. We went there for a family lunch to celebrate a birthday. My Son and I had the burger maison and it was bland, probably a frozen burger and not chef made like I would expect. Also the fries are pre salted which I wouldn’t expect in any restaurant. Not much of an ambience in the place. Unfortunately this was my first and last visit to this venue.
M. M.
Fab food, great value and super service. Very happy.
J. H.
Great service and delicious food
M. W.
Our favourite restaurant regarding ambience and overall satisfaction BUT not this time
Food distinctive average. A coque au vin that was undercooked
A salmon dish that was overcooked and nothing more than a huge plate of lettuce.and beef burginoise that was also average.
Sad to say we were disappointed.
W. S.
Delicious afternoon tea in nice place
L. J.
Good choice of food and friendly service, they cared very well for our large group and nothing was too much trouble. Be aware that parking on Royal William Yard can be expensive!
L. S.
Great service for our large group. Food was fab
T. M.
Visited recently for the lunch time menu and the staff were well presented and attentive at all times even though it was fairly busy . The menu was modern and well thought out and the food was of a high standard and delivered in no time . The drinks were also of the same high standard . The price of the meal and drinks were also very reasonable adding to an overall pleasant dining experience of which I will be coming back for soon !
K. E.
They weren't particularly busy but waited ages for the food. When it did arrive it was very tasty but barely warm. Left feeling disappointed!

Well it's a great restaurant....however, the service is slow and on the two occasions I've visited here the food has come out cold and I've been served the wrong order. Aside from that I will be visiting this attractive restaurant again....third time lucky!!

Very good lunch time menu, service extremely good and the food hot and flavoursome and well presented parking is paid at £2.00 for two hours (£2.00/is the minimum parking fee) situated in the historic setting of the Royal William Yard.

Very good set menu. Perfect for lunchtime treat.

Sent food back as green beans overcooked, fries cold and fillet overdone. Also not sure why the chef in the blue shirt didn't have his mask on properly when he was preparing food.

Fantastic food and good staff

Food was nice and waitstaff were good, but I'd avoid using the app, it didn't work very well and caused our food to take a long time to come through

Always a pleasure eating here. Good food and excellent service.

Always really lovely food. The value is great especially if you have the Pre Theatre Menu. Service is great and atmosphere lovely if sometimes a little loud owing to the type of building.

Halibut was so good, just love this restaurant, would be nicer if a bit more dog friendly xxx

Good food, buzzing place, well worth a visit. Noisy music, rather stuffy needs more ventilation. Though this was a hot may evening. eat outside in that situation. Good service, eat before 6. 45 to get 2 courses for £14. 45. Had burger, excellent and creme brulee, delicious. Meteor french beer, very good. Chicken au citron and porc medallions very good too.
Royal William yard, Interesting roomy location by the water. Exceptional views on rhe walk back to Devils point of the harbour, lighthouses etc. Park free at Devils point if you can get a place. Or pay at Royal William yard.

Amazing food. Very friendly servers and quick service. Good value menu. Main a la carte menu or two courses for £14.95 menu.

Good food but the service was less than it should be. It felt like there was a person behind the bar missing and one less server.

Very busy festive evening with large groups celebrating. Food very good, but service a bit rushed off their feet, so had to wait between courses.

From the minute you arrive you are made to feel welcome, the atmosphere, the staff and the food is excellent and problems ( if one occurs) are dealt with the minimum of fuss. So thank you Bistro Pierre we will be back. 👍👍😀

Food is ok but lacks the taste of restaurants like the greedy goose. Nothing really special about the food somewhat bland. Nice setting and excellent polite service.

Had Poulet Forestiere, the chicken breast was cold and tough, asked for a replacement this time it was hot, but still extremely tough. Had to eat my meal after my friend's had finished theirs. Not impressed.
