First time in Boon Tong Dha service was lovely, nice to see chef and waitress at work behind counter. Food was amazing and the corn cakes are huge. Chicken green curry I had was one of the best I had in Plymouth. Price excellent a nice little clean restaurant will eat there again.

This wasn't just a great Thai food experience, it was an incredibly great dining experience. It is small, but has really nice decor that doesn't go over-the-top as many Asian restaurants do. There was only one table for four and the others are all small tables for couples, but the bigger table was available for me, my wife, and children. We were waited on by a cheerful, polite, absolutely charming young woman. The food was excellent. My kids, who like prawns and consider themselves prawn connoisseurs remarked that the prawns were so juicy and the best they'd ever had. My wife and I will return on our own for date night as the atmosphere in there is oh-so lovely, calm, and comfortable.

A very small little restaurant with only 4 tables. So would recommend booking in advance if you want to eat here. Four of us had a great meal, both the food and the service were spot on. Portion sizes were huge, and everybody left feeling very satisfied. I would definitely recommend it here, and will be coming back to eat here again.

My husband and I had a rare evening away from the children and booked this place for a meal out. We had a wonderful time. There are only 4 tables in the restaurant and there was only one other party when we went. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had to move the time of our booking and they were very accommodating. We hadn't realised that it is unlicensed and that you can bring your own alcohol for a small corkage charge. My husband went to the corner shop and bought us a bottle of wine so that was a nice bonus. I love Tom Kha soup and this one was one of the best I have eaten. We then had number 48 and 49 and they were both utterly delicious. The portions were big and we just couldn't finish our food even though it was so wonderful. The prices were incredibly reasonable. We will definitely be returning. 😊

Not just the best Thai food in Plymouth but some of the best I’ve had in the U.K. Don’t be fooled by the unassuming exterior, the food here is out of this world tasty, and really good value for money. The owner is a complete sweetheart as well. Easily an instant favourite and highly recommended. It’s bring your own bottle by the way, so you won’t ever be disappointed by the drinks selection ;)

Great Thai food and a very friendly reception every time I've eaten here - usually every couple of weeks or so.... Be careful though, usually need to book on Friday/Saturday. I forgot last week and had to get a takeaway! Not quite sure what happened with the previous reviewer - I've not seen many carrots! - Just great food and a warm reception every visit!

Quick Google search for Thai food in Plymouth and this place was top of the list and a stone's throw away from where I live so thought I'd try it out. Just got some chicken Pad Thai and it's lovely, carton full to the brim so very happy with the portion size and the price was very reasonable. Friendly staff and it's also easy enough to park nearby later in the evening. Didn't even know the takeaway/diner existed until today but will definitely go back again.

Have eaten there a few times in the past. Last night we had a home delivery. Food arrived within 5 minutes of our requested time. Food was good, still piping hot, and our red curry was "spicy" just as we asked for it. Well done to all the team!

this place is insane! found it randomly with a friend when we were looking for somewhere else and its just a gem! the foods cheap, tastes unbeleiveably good and the best part is the staff are so nice and will cook you whatever you want. they do great for vegetarians as well and bring your own booze is a great bonus!! love this place have been dozens of times since discovery

We have ordered from here a few times now and every delivery has been exceptional. Good quality food and proper 'thai spicy' and always piping hot on delivery. The pad thai especially good as is the massaman curry. Highly recommended!

Collected food for a takeaway here tonight was the best Thai I've ever had... And the lady was really lovely. Food took 15mins to cook which for food tasting this good is amazing! Would definitely recommend and eat from here again.

Now Thai Thai. Same people same delicious dishes in renewed decor. A delightful Thai restaurant eat-in or take-away.. "Boon Tong Dha" hints at the mystic, supernatural or blessed character of this establishment. Simple no frills service, decor and tables. Very amiable service and not rushed. Seating for about 16 people. Popular and traditional menu options cooked by Thai national "Bute" or "Boote". (Please excuse incorrect spelling). Bute checked we were happy and comfortable even we we mixed up our orders. You can get most menu options in mild, hot or extra spicy. Possible also to BYO bottles. Other Non-alcoholic drink are available. Contrary to expectations there are no Dessert options. All in an inexpensive delight in Plymouth starry night economy. Thank you Bute and staff for a fine evening meal.

First time I've ordered from boon tong dha as I usually order from Mr wok. But they were closed so ordered from here, and I have to say excellent very very tasty and loads of it. We had sweetcorn cakes and beef slices both very nice chicken satay again delicious, and chicken Pad Thai all very nice. Ordered same as we do fom Mr wok and I've got loads left over for same money. Will deffinatly be ordering from here again.... Can't recommend Boon Tong Dha enough.....

Quick, massive portions and very good prices. It's not the best Thai I've had, but far from the worst takeaway I've had. Only ask for your food to be spicy if you're really brave. Or stupid. I was both. 20 tissues later, I had a great TomYum. ;)

I went to this Thai restaurant for the second time in a row yesterday, ordered a take away and I absolutely loved it. I think it is the best Thai in Plymouth because the portions are very good for a reasonably priced menu and everything is cooked to each persons preference also the hospitality is five star if you decide to eat in. #delicioushealthyandwholesomefood

Well done Boon! Fab food and totally authentic which is soooo good to see in Plymouth. A real touch of a true Thai style restaurant and not losing the atmosphere of a great street side restaurant but without the heat and humidity eh? My wife is Thai and she loved it! We will be back soon. That red curry with tofu and pineapple was to die for. The larb gai a treat... thank you and everybody should drop in! And open when many places are not too.
