The food was lovely. The place itself is spacious yet cosy. Staff are friendly. We went there for lunch. We both had drinks, mine was the super green smoothie which was amazing. I had the curry (coronation) wrap with garlic and Parsley fries. My husband had the Jack fruit gyro and sweet potato fries... Both were lovely and full of flavour aswell as being very filling. The wraps seem at first glance, a bit expensive at nearly £10 each, but they are pretty big and definitely worth the price. I will be visiting again soon for the rainbow bowl next 👌

I had lunch there with some friends yesterday and had an amazing experience. It's located near everything you might want to visit in Plymouth and the decoration and atmosphere were amazing. It feels really cozy inside and inclusive. All the staff was super nice and still they were super busy but very attentive with clients. It's also probably very safe for the LBTQ+ community as all of the bathrooms are non binary. The food was amazing. I had the Homemade Moussaka and it was amazing. It comes with a side of salad and dressing and it was delicious. It tasted very homey. Also the quantity was more than enough for one but I eat a lot and was hungry. Overall it was an amazing experience and I'll probably go back if I have the chance. PS: it's better if you book a table beforehand. We did not book a table but we were lucky.

The food is delicious and 100% vegan to make it even better. The place looks great and the people I was with can't stop raving about their food. The staff was friendly but unfortunately, I couldn't stay so had a takeaway of a wrap and a smoothie but family and I are very impressed. If we didn't live half way across the country, we'd become regulars here.

I'm vegetarian rather than vegan, but the Cosmic Kitchen's menu contained a really good selection of choices. My rainbow bowl (see photo) was a great selection of different salads, each one really tasty. My carnivorous wife's jackfruit wrap was filling and very much enjoyed. The brownie and dairy-free ice cream was delicious, as was the oat milk latte. All the staff were welcoming and very friendly. We're definitely looking forward to a return visit.

An amazing little restaurant slightly out of Plymouth's main tourist area. They emphasise healthy and wholesome options (all veggie/vegan) which manage to be super delicious and fresh, leaving you satisfied and feeling great! Great mid afternoon visit. The building is beautiful and the interior decor and fixtures really sat well within it. The staff are all brilliant, in no way intrusive but on hand, knowledgeable and so pleasant. The food we ordered was a fair selection with there being three of us and the quality was very high, timings great and although I am not Vegan the food really was great.

You get depressed from the tunes but lifted back up with how nice the food is). Unreal vegan scotch egg. Reyt. Let me tell u. Back in my omni days, I loved a good scotch egg. Obvs am now repulsed at the thought of a real one but this vegan one was *chefs kiss*. Evenly cooked, amazingly crispy coating, well-seasoned 'sausage'. Lovely interior. Just a really pleasant dining experience to distract me from the fact I'm down south.

Was a really enjoyable and tasty lunch. The food was so tasty and the waitress was knowledgeable on each dish. I usually don't eat vegan but I am glad I tried it as mentioned, it was thoroughly enjoyable. The restaurant setting is very church style looking with high vaulted ceilings.

What a lovely discovery this was earlier in the year! I'm not vegan, but if all vegan food was as delicious as they serve here, I'd happily eat it all the time. I had a Buddha style bowl, sat outside on a chilly April day. The flavours were having a riot in my mouth! We were brought blankets outside to keep us warm. It started raining, so the friendly staff found us a spot Inside, even though it was being used for a private function. Don't miss an opportunity to visit this place if you are in the area.

Absolutely fantastic, came here to celebrate sons GCSE results, none of us are vegans but we were super impressed with the flavours , the venue, the friendly attentive staff, and the laid back feel of the night. Fabulous setting. I have soya allergy, and they were excellent at considering this and making suggestions for adjusting some of the dishes so I could have them. Between our party we had soup & bread, wraps, ruben sandwich, and the scotch egg, and all the food was delicious and fresh. Will be back for sure!

If I could give more stars I would! Best Sunday dinner we've ever had even before we went vegan. Everything was cooked perfectly and there was plenty of it. We don't tend to visit Plymouth very often but we were looking for a vegan place to have lunch. My daughter found Cosmic Kitchen online and we thought we would have a wander and give it a try. We we so glad we did, we were not disappointed. Although the menu wasn't marked to show which items were gluten free the staff were knowledgeable and they checked with the chef when they were unsure. I chose to have the beetroot falafel wrap as a gluten free salad (no wrap) and it was amazing. The spiced fries with the garlic mayonnaise- just yummy. My daughter had the jackfruit gyros and she devoured it really quickly. The portions were a decent size which meant, unfortunately for us, that we were too full for a pudding. Covid 19 regulations were being followed with hand gel being available and a one way system. The staff were wearing masks. The environment was very welcoming, warn and friendly and the staff were great I loved the comfy sofas, could have snuggled up on them with a good book. We would definitely recommend it and will be going again.

Cosy atmosphere in a converted chapel. Vegan restaurant with great choice of foods at reasonable prices. The mushroom shepherds pie was delicious and the side order of beetroot falafel balls were great. The Jackfruit wraps with potato chips were also delicious. Amazing dinner here tonight. Tried lots of the menu! Had the hummus and bread (very tasty hummus, nice and citrusy) mac’n’cheese, and herby chips alongside the coronation chicken wrap! I've been to a lot of vegan canteen places, and they're usually quite formulaic, but this one is a bit of a stand out. The pictures of the interior don't really do it justice - it's all inside a church building with a mix of elegant dinner tables, coffee tables and sofas, and a huge bar so it's got a mix of relaxed and fine dining atmosphere. The food is a little pricier than the standard vegan canteen, but makes up for it by being very high quality. Everything tastes freshly prepared and I couldn't recommend the carrot koftas more (well worth the £1 each). The best bit is the staff, who manage to strike the fine balance between being very friendly but not overbearing. We only came in for a quick lunch and now I'm adamant on coming back for the Sunday roast. Edit: the Sunday roast was divine, even better than the lunch we had there, and I'm so glad we went for it. Good portions too, and quite cheap for what you get. I'll be going back to Plymouth some day to have it again.

Beautiful, delicious food. Very reasonably priced. I recommend the nachos if you are hungry! The desserts were amazing. We ate a LOT of amazing food because we wanted to try lots of stuff, but could easily have shared the massive nachos and had fries each and eaten for £10 a head I think. So lovely. None of the photos do the food or decor justice. The rainbow bowl was one of the best meals I’ve eaten - speaking as an omnivore. And the service is kind, relaxed and unobtrusive. Played a game of scrabble with my boyfriend while we had some (delicious) drinks. Felt like I was hanging out in the living room of a very cool, wealthy bohemian friend. Even if you didn’t want to eat, you should go there to check out the decor and vibe. Lovely blend of historic and fun. Would be a wonderful place for a date.

Updated Review: Cosmic has moved to a beautiful new location perfectly situated between the city centre and the Barbican. The menu remains top notch, with a carefully curated selection of fresh, vibrant flavours. I opted for the natchos this visit and was not disappointed, flavourful, rich chilli and smooth creamy cheese sauce made a lovely contrast, and the chips remained crisp and tasty til the end. My wife went for the rainbow bowl and the name doesn't lie, a plate full of beautiful colours and flavours. The children (4 and 2) were very welcomed by friendly staff and shared a generous portion of mac and cheese, luckily there was even some left for us to sample, and it was delicious! Even more highly recommended now in this much more accessible and beautiful venue. Original review: Vegan or not, this place is a hidden gem. Cosy, relaxed atmosphere and very welcoming staff that were super accommodating. The food is amazing. A great varied and fresh menu that is full of clean, vegan and delicious food. Beautifully colourful salads, huge well filled wraps and inventive specials. The crown gem in my meal was the scotch egg! How that is vegan, I don't know! Mind-blowing!

Wow, what an epic Xmas nut roast dinner, it was amazing! Travelling from Australia my friend decided we should try this place, as I am vegan. Since walking in, it just felt so homely and comfortable! I love the fact it is a small menu so it isn't stressful trying to pick something to eat. Our first visit we both got the soup which was super yum, Shannon was our waitress and looked after us so kindly. We loved it so much we came back for the roast today! Eloise looked after us and was so caring, always checking in with us as well! The service is enough to make me want to come back again and again but the food is next level yum. They are in a lovely old building and have managed to put in a style that makes it a great place to eat. The vegan jackpot! This was our first time at Cosmic Kitchen. We found it while looking through Google Maps for a vegan dinner. I've eaten in the previous restaurant a few times that was in the same building and have always loved the interior. The food and service at Cosmic Kitchen was great. Cosmic kitchen is hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The portions, prices, location, atmosphere and staff ensure that you have the best time when visiting. I have been vegetarian/vegan for 11 years and I am such a fussy eater but there are plenty of options for food and I’m yet to find something I haven’t enjoyed! I recently visited with my younger sister (a meat eater who is always very sceptical of veggie/vegan food) and even she found her meal to be delicious. The staff are all so friendly and the speed of service is great too! If you ever get the chance to visit on a weekend evening for cosmic sessions (where they serve drinks and have live DJs) then you will have the best time! Cosmic sessions are a refreshing change from a typical night out and I would definitely recommend. If I could give the review more than 5 stars I definitely would, as cosmic kitchen is definitely somewhere that EVERYONE should visit! ⭐️

Really impressed with this place which is neatly tucked away between the Barbican and the city centre. They've taken an old, atmospheric space and made it feel friendly and relaxed. The food is great, really tasty and creative - and the best scotch egg I've ever had, vegan or otherwise! Quite a few of the options use soya as an alternative to meat so if that's not your thing you might want to choose a bit more carefully. Love that Plymouth has this vegan haven! I can't comment on the food or service provided as we didn't get to dine. Having read the reviews online I decided to book in to here when visiting a friend in Plymouth. Booked on Wednesday 11th Aug, for Friday 13th. Set off from Manchester at 4am, and due to being caught in a 5 hour motorway closure, and arrived in Plymouth 10.5 hours later. Quickly freshened and changed and set off for Cosmic Kitchen. On arrival we were told that they had a very limited menu as all kitchen staff had been forced to isolate due to Covid. They said that all with reservations had been called that day. I spent 10 1/2 hours in my car, didn't leave it once, with my phone literally 18 inches in front of me mounted on the dashboard connected to the car bluetooth. I did not get a call and no voicemail was left. This was rather disappointing as it left limited scope to make alternative arrangements, and we had to phone a lot of restaurants to find somewhere that could take us last minute. So my rating is based upon the experience I had with the restaurant, not the food.

Went to Cosmic Kitchen last night after searching for a while for a good place to eat, my partner and I drove up from Cornwall earlier in the day so we wanted to try somewhere we don't have where we live. Between the two of us we aren't the easiest to cater for as I struggle to find things I like and he gets moody hungry. We werent able to get a table in some places due to limited numbers being allowed but looking back I'm glad we werent! I'm a vegetarian so my partner thought it would be nice to try Cosmic Kitchen. From the moment we walked in we were well looked after, such a lovely atmosphere to the place! The food we had was incredible and I would travel just to have dinner here again. Thanks so much to all the staff and massive compliments to the chef!! Worth every penny and all stars ⭐ (We had the Jackfruit Gyro, Vegan Scotch egg and chilli Nacho's. Yum!)

An hidden gem the Cosmic Kitchen was once the Mission in Lower Lane adjacent to Kittys Bar central Plymouth. Sisters Lucia and Gabriella have created a restaurant with an ambiance combined with a vegan and restaurant foodie menu. After meeting Lucia on a City walkabout a visit the same day had to be sampled A welcome warm and friendly led me to order a Falafel Wrap with hummus roasted vegetables it was the best i have eaten and i love well presented no trouble dining. this is my favourite restaurant in Plymouth and one of the nicest vegan restaurants i've been to! the food there is always so good - the portions are big, but the food is usually nutricious and healthy so you don't feel too heavy afterwards. the drinks, desserts, staff and the interior design is also spot on. they also host super nice music events! I don't go there too often cause it's a bit pricey for students, but every time i do, it's 100% worth it!
