Reviews of Five Guys Plymouth

I love 5 guys no matter what location I go to, the price is worth it to me. Today though the customer service was excellent, got my food quick and the cashier named John was more than helpful plus cheerful which always makes the customers feel welcome and comfortable. Thanks John, I will be coming back soon!

Absolutely love this place. Went there before going to watch Godzilla vs King Kong and had the hot dog for a change as always go for the burger and I wasn't disappointed, I think I actually prefer it to the burger, whether its because I'd never had it before I don't know but what I do know is I'll definitely be ordering it again. We had a large chips between us and it was plenty for two people, we couldn't even finish those to be honest. They haven't got any drinks machines working in the cinema either so got the refillable drink from Five Guys too, obviously only filled it once but there's so many flavours it's worth it just for the one fill up, you pay up to £2.50 just for 1 can of the American flavours they do do in there. It's not the cheapest place for a bite to eat but it was worth it, go here once a month and would definitely recommend, you won't be disappointed.

Really enjoy five guys normally but had a burger today which was literally half the size of the bun. Considering they don’t do any discounts because they say it’s worth the money, I’d usually agree as it is tasty, but considering my burger was so tiny not sure I’d say it was worth it this time

Very busy place but that is to be expected as it has only just opened. It's a shame about the number of tables as there was always a handful of people waiting for tables and hovering over you when you were nearly at the end of your meal.
Free nuts was a nice surprise but this didn't seem to be advertised.
Service was relatively fast considering how busy the place was.
Shame there is no option to bundle burgers with chips and that they are a seperate purchase.
I would visit again but not if I was in a rush.
Milkshake was very nice but cost more than I believe it was worth.

Walked in almost at closing time on a Sunday , the staff were so welcoming . Tried the veggies cheese sandwich and Cajun fries , and loved it ,
The veggies are grilled and not a patty , and I liked that , the were generous with the cheese and fries 🤩 . They are known for the best beef burgers and milkshakes, so give it a try .

We had reservations of what to expect due to mixed reviews from friends, but as we had a very rare child free day we made the most of having a meal without needing eyes in the back of our head or multiple toilet visits! In a work the place is awesome, the menu was explained fully to us, our choices were made and we sat patiently waiting for our ticket to be called out, everything was perfect, it was everything I wanted a burger to be and more, well worth the money and I'll definitely be going back again soon 👍

Great burger chain. Been to the one in Bristol a few times and this one is also awesome as expected.
People complaining about the price then just go McDonald’s if you want an inferior burger.
These patties are cooked fresh and the fries are just excellent and good portions too.
Milkshakes are lush and highly recommend them.
Keep up the good work guys.

Five guys fair is, generally speaking, banging. It's fresh, hot, tailored to exactly what you want and Plymouth generally delivers on taste.
It is however pretty inconsistent. Not in quality but certainly in quantity and service. As a family of six we have visited a few times and had really quite a different experience each time.
Portion sizes for instance vary greatly from visit to visit and we've had a couple of wrong orders (although they have been swiftly corrected).
The menu is generally directed towards meat eaters with "regular" diets which is fair considering it's a burger joint but this proves tricky for families like us with veggies and a kiddo with Coeliac Disease. A vegan pattie and a gluten free bun offering would make the world of difference.
It's also pretty grubby as fast food joints go. I've had to ask every time for someone to clean a table for us and there is always lots of food under the table. I just think they could do with someone on the floor keeping tables and floors clean at all times because although the facade is fast food, you are paying premium prices. This isn't McDonalds but I can assure you, any McDonalds would be cleaner and probably more efficiently run in terms of organisation and this is three times as expensive.
All in all, good burgers but could do better.
