Exceptional food, delivered with outstanding service. I eat out regularly, in restaurants all over the world due to the fact I'm a food and travel blogger on social media. I often try yummy food, but the dishes at Fletcher's were executed perfectly. Incredibly well-balanced, impactful flavours sang in my mouth! If I were to give one criticism it would be to ensure the plates are going out hot as my food was Luke warm after a couple of minutes being on the table... That didn't ruin it for me though and I'm hoping to come back tonight before I head back to London. Definitely see a Michelin star heading their way.

All I can say is OMG wow. The 7 course taster menu was absolutely amazing. From the minute we walked in we greeted like a regular even though it was our first time. I suffer from a Shellfish allergy and they adapted the menu to commindate me. Everything was amazing from the staff to the food. I'd definitely recommend coming here if you love good food and amazing service

Wow. It's honestly an insult that Fletcher's isn't included on the Michelin guide... Their dishes are well conceived, perfectly balanced and cooked to perfection. Thier menu is refreshing, seasonally inspired and expertly crafted to deliver a memorable experience in every bite. The team is incredibly talented, from their knowledgeable bar and front of house staff, to their brilliant array of dedicated chefs. Nothing is missing from a trip to Fletcher's. Special thanks to Sam behind the bar for looking after us during our visit. And to Jack in the kitchen, you're all amazing! Edit* Went again to celebrate my mother's birthday, and as ever the service was amazing, we were extremely well looked after from the moment we entered. The food is still the best for miles and miles around. Elegant flavour profiles, fully realised dishes, and immaculate presentation leave nothing to be desired. We booked Fletchers based on the great reviews, it certainly didn't disappoint. The food and service was very hard to fault, generous serving sizes and the price very reasonable. We started with the homemade bread and butter, followed by pork and fish mains and then delicious desserts. The servers were very attentive, it was clear they have great relationships with many regular diners. Covid restrictions were also very well adhered to. Highly recommended.

Wow what an incredible meal we had last night, pre theatre as off to see blood brothers, this restaurant deserves the best review it was packed, food was outstanding, the only downside was a slightly noisy table, but we just ignored them. Chef Fletcher is 24 years old and deserves a huge thank you for his food creations. We will definitely visit again and probably use this as our theatre base in the future - thank you Matt, John, Mary and Susie xx

Well, this was just the most pleasant surprise! Outstanding service and superbly presented food, bursting with flavours. And such an interesting menu too! We sampled three of the wines on the list and all were superb. We were spoilt to have the restaurant to ourselves at lunchtime during the week so it all felt extra special. The food was exceptional! It definitely deserves a Michelin star! Every dish and ingredient was exquisitely designed and thought through. The fish we had was so fresh, it felt like it had just been caught from the sea, the duck was cooked just right but the duck liver parfait had to be my favourite! The expresso martini was a must have too! We loved this restaurant and we are so glad we have found this little gem at such affordable prices! Service was of course 5 star!

This is a review for 3rd Nov last year, the night before the month long lockdown started. We had planned to visit a few days later, but Jessica was able to fit us in on this night last minute, something that I've not been able to do since. That's how good this place is. You can't get in for weeks! As per the previous two visits, the meal was outstanding, the service exemplary. We had a really good night out prior to lockdown kicking in properly for months afterwards. Looking forward to getting back here as soon as I can find a free weekend that coincides with their availability.

Fletchers has got an amazing staff with beautiful calm ambience. My husband enjoyed their food. Their non vegetarian selection and cooking is amazing according to him. It was an okay experience for myself though, but it could be due to the limited vegetarian option on the menu. They do cater to special needs and can change most dishes to meet the requirements. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys more of non vegetarian food.

Came on here planning to just write “WOW” then noticed it’s what most other people have said! Staff have the wonderful mix of professionalism and easy humour that I’ve only seen in the highest rated restaurants (hello, Fat Duck!) and the food just speaks for itself, every tiny detail adding to the awesomeness of each dish. Last week my family and I had a pre theatre 2 course set menu at Fletchers. Wonderful celeriac soup and ham hock croquettes. And lovely pheasant and fish dishes to follow. The staff were efficient and knowledgeable about the food, explaining the dishes and were so helpful. We will certainly be back.

A genuine pleasure. As people who go out to eat a lot in Plymouth, today at Fletchers made us realise the difference between “going for food” and going out for a real meal. If you like carveries with 12 roast potatoes and food piled a foot high you won't like it here. However, if you like top quality food packed full of flavour expertly prepared, cooked and presented you will love it. Not cheap but very good value. Nice decor and attentive staff help to make this a top place to eat.

Just finished dinner before a show in Plymouth and had the most exquisite meal. Cannot recommend the food at Fletchers highly enough (and is very reasonable on price considering). How this place doesn’t have a Michelin star is beyond me. Thank you for a lovely night!

Absolutely incredible! We arrived hopeful (our first visit after reading some great reviews), and departed having found our favourite restaurant. Starters were scallops and venison tartare (and a black pudding scotch egg - beautiful). Both were great, we could have stopped there! For mains we had the duck breast and cod loin, great again. Finished off with desserts, lemon tart and orange (?, can't remember exactly but it was superb). We'll certainly be back again, and soon! Thank you for a lovely evening, and also for the surprise birthday treat.

My husband and I decided to visit Fletcher's for our wedding anniversary and we are glad we did. The staff are attentive and polite whilst being respectful. The ambiance of the restaurant is spot on as it is perfectly decorated and there is gentle music playing in the background so you don't have to raise your voice to your dining partner to be heard. The selection of the dishes is ideal as although there is about 6 or so starters and mains, you know that everything is going to be cooked fresh and not sitting in a vat somewhere in the kitchen like it could be at a cheap and cheerful chain restaurant. Everything we ordered was fantastic; it all tasted delicious, presented beautifully and arrived on our table hot. The portion sizes too are spot on for the richness of the food and you certainly won't leave feeling bloated or uncomfortable but neither will you leave feeling hungry. The drinks options are ideal as there is something for everyone on there and from viewing the wine list, there are some very good options in all colours and fizz too. Overall, for a fine dining experience, Fletcher's is amazing and good value to boot. Will we be returning? Hell yes!

The restaurant was definitely fine dining in a relaxed environment. Really enjoyed all the food ordered. The parma ham wrapped cod was delicious and the portion sizes were great sizes. The dessert was so tasty, we opted for the vanilla rice pudding and the chocolate delivery. Both were delicious and well worth the £9.00. The staff were attentive and really down to earth. Really enjoyed the whole experience. It is a shame we cannot come back as only in the UK for a limited time.

Overpriced menu with under delivered food and service. While I appreciate there may be teething pains during the first year of operation, the quality of food and attention to detail in the service requires a review. The staff are very friendly but don't execute quickly enough. Perhaps my expectations are inaccurate but I can pay the same price and less in restaurants back home having an experience that makes me walk away feeling like I got overall value in the experience that I paid for. The restaurant has potential but needs to quickly evaluate and adapt to expectations to reflect the menu's prices.
