Outstanding customer service. Never had anything like it in my life. I’ve stayed, and eaten, all over Europe at some really classy places where wait staff would preempt my every need- but nothing comes close to the top notch customer service I received from the 3 lads standing behind the counter tonight(but particularly the one on frying duties). Cheesy chips were just as good as they were 15+ years ago when I used to go here for lunch.

Not bad. But last two visits the guys serving didn't listen to my preferences. Didn't toast the bun like I asked them to. Asked for lettuce onion and tomato von my burger...tomato was missing ..used to be better than this ....regarding value..again ..not bad .

Got a spicy chicken sandwich. The chicken was alright, had a good crunch but the spice and flavor just wasn't all there. Shame as I heard so many good things about this place. Willing to go back and try a proper burger next time and maybe update my review.

Jake's is the dream greasy spoon. No finesse, airs or graces, just hot, supremely tasty, artery-hardening food, the stuff of cold-weather cravings. The melts and cheesy fries are particularly good. Because the food is prepared to order, it can take awhile, so we find it best to telephone ahead. Here's pictures of the wall menu.

Visited here on Saturday evening for some food with friends. The food itself was good but the service was awful. There was a guy in a bandana serving and he was being ridiculously rude, I'm guessing as he assumed everyone in there was drunk and he could get away with it. Have visited a few times in the past but honestly I don't think we'll be going here again.

Legendary Plymouth eatery on the edge of the city centre, seemingly open all hours. Far from the best food you've ever tasted (unless you've been on the beer all night beforehand!) but reasonable value, plenty of choice, and they deliver now too.

First came here at Uni 20 years ago, still the same amazing extended menu. Please try chicken tikka melt, it's what this place is famous for but there is loads to choose from and it is quickly prepared too. Enjoy!!!!

Fast food at it's best. We dropped in for a lunch. Really friendly staff and delivery drivers. Great selection of food. Had a tasty Chicken tikka melt and a Chilli Baked potato with salad. I was offered butter or cheese but being good declined :) The guys were so friendly and as per norm the food was tasty. We were also offered cutlery and napkins if we needed it. They are open 24 hours. So if you fancy a late night snack, as I have in the past you will not be disappointed. Thank you :)

The delivery was slow, eta wasn't updated until after I'd complained. However, staff couldn't apologise quick enough, extras were added free and when I finally had it all (after almost 80 mins) it was awesome. The food is tasty and there's plenty of it. I very highly recommend this place. Indoor outdoor and upstairs seating..close to university. Eat in or Takeaway.. Baguette and Burgers . Sandwiches. Naps. Breakfasts. Hotdogs. Jacket spubs. Hot and cold drinks.. Donuts cookies and muffins. Chilli and Rice which I highly recommend only £4.55 for a very large portion.. 5 star food hygiene rating 8-5pm weekdays. 24hrs opening weekends.

Many 'a drunken nights out will end here and almost always will inspire the hammered adventurer inside. With great service and a friendly wink, wether it be on your way home, to the after party or to the morning mistake this place will always provide happiness no matter what your next step. Just don't be a douche inside because it doesn't end well and the staff don't deserve it. I was originally going to give 4 stars, mostly because I don't like to give 5 star reviews. However I couldn't think of a genuine reason apart from it isn't free.
