C. B.Haven't been for 4 or 5 yrs but I have to say I couldn't fault it. A late breakfast, a really good choice on the menu and a lovely venue. Good decor, good background music and delicious food as well. We both had vegan breakfast's and it was a perfect choice. Super couple of coffee's each and wonderful conversation with the beautiful woman opposite me just made it a special occasion.

P. C.We had an amazing meal here, what a find! Adventurous and varied menu; the beef buns, black pudding scotch egg and salt and vinegar doughnuts were just delicious to start.
The sticky pig and pork & prawns & peanuts were equally awesome for mains. Staff were lovely and gave friendly and attentive service. Just wish I lived close enough to become a regular.

E. B.Main course was lovely and very tasty and a lovely atmosphere, but I was extremely disappointed with my starter. I had grilled watermelon, the size of the portion was less then a child's size and I had already stated I had a dairy allergy and it arrived with mozzarella over the top which it didn't say on the menu that it came with that. So a little disappointed.

Food was delicious and staff were super friendly and very helpful despite it being lunch time and them starting to have christmas parties arriving but that didn't seem to phase them or detract from the food quality with other orders coming out. Nor was it too noisy with the amount of people and parties in there. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Pros:
- friendly staff and good service
- 3 of the party enjoyed their meals (those people ordered burgers)
- very nice chocolate fondant desert
Cons:
-very disappointed to find the set menu lunch offer was not valid on a Sunday as the mobile website does not make this clear at all
- the fish from the fish and chips meal was very watery, as if it had been frozen prior to cooking.
- grilled harissa aubergine meal was very tasteless and all elements, including the ‘crispy’ kale, were so greasy that they were inedible
We did report our food complaints to the staff and received a deduction from our bill because of this but I certainly would not return to Rock Salt after today’s experience.

M. D.We dined at Rock Salt on Monday evening and it was nothing short of divine. I have been a couple of times before and meant to leave a review so here it is. The food was just gorgeous and always has been and the service as usual was great. Eat here - you won't be disappointed.
C. R.The go to restaurant for guaranteed great tasting and superbly cooked food that will impress and partner, client or group. The menu hasn't really changed in the years I've been going which is a shame because the taste sensation is amazing. This will not however stop me from eating here. It just means I don't go very often, special occasions only. Every veg, herb and spice compliments each other perfectly. The deserts are so light that even if you think you can eat no more there will be room, I promise! This is one of the best restaurants in Plymouth. Highly recommend!
r. j.Rocksalt has been a firm favourite of ours since we moved t Plymouth 2.5yrs ago and our lunch on Saturday reinforced this. The dishes are simply delicious, perfectly balanced and beautifully plated; I’ve had worse meals in Michelin starred venues at three times the price! Honestly they are a shining light and well worth a visit, you can’t go wrong!
V. W.Wow! Went here tonight for the first time tonight and we had such a wonderful meal. Sure the walk from town isn't the most pleasant but well worth it. The mackerel donuts I am still dreaming about. We look forward to returning when next in Plymouth, an absolute must.
S. M.If you are around Plymouth take the Rock Salt Cafe Brasserie into consideration. It doesn't have a big list but what is there is of very good quality, abundant portions and fine presentation. I tried a Sunday roast branch and it was excellent. I suggest calling for booking.
