Fast service and good food value for money. This is not fine dining but it is good food. This review takes into account the restaurant type and meal type. Giving this place a 1 or 2 star is rediculus. If the prices were 3 times higher I could be more critical but they are not. Good simple Greek food.

Even though they brought out my main meal with my starter and then served me the same fish 20 minutes later, after it had been under a heat lamp, the Dolmades made up for it. Menu was good but I'd avoid the fish - it wasn't bad (I ate here two nights in a row) but there are better fish restaurants within throwing distance.

We arrived not having a booking but we were welcomed and easily accommodated. Both me and my partner had the £25 meat meze each which we shared with our 17 month old baby son who was also warmly welcomed and accommodated for in the shape of many many napkins and plates for his messy eating. Food was fresh, authentic, extremely tasty great quality and value for money

We visited stavros for a birthday lunch. The waitress was very polite and the food outstanding, and the waitress asked if it was my daughters birthday and brought her out a complimentary piece of tiramisu and the other guests a slice of cake , this was a lovely surprise. Would definitely visit again . Maybe a,slightly bigger selection on the menu but was lovely none the less.

Great meal today full of flavour and goodness. The Mini Meze is the real deal and gives you a great selection of small plates perfect for sharing. There is actually a warning next to the full Meze as it comes with 20 dishes! Seriously for the very hungry!

Lovely restaurant. We had a lovely lunch menu which was 11.90. There was so much food and all done beautifully. They even brought out a desert for us for free. Honestly can say was such a well priced lunch with great service.

The food was impeccable, we throughly enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere was perfect and the staff were beautiful people. Compliments to the chef. We will be back, made us want to go back to visit Cyprus or one of the Greek Islands. It was that special and the best Greek restaurant we’ve been to in England and we’ve been to a lot!

Really great meal made up of a selection from the starter menu, every one of which was a gem. Fabulous service, offer of additional pittas on serving, if required (not!). Lovely complimentary desert.

After passing and always saying, "we'll try this one day", we'll now we have. We'll impressed with Venue, Staff & the food was excellent. 2 x Stifado, 1 x Sea Bass & 1 x Serloin Steak, all plates were cleared. So we'll fed none of us could manage a dessert & finished of with a great coffee. Would recommend and would definitely go there again.

Had a really good meal here tonight. My wife and I had the mini mezze each and it was plenty enough to fill us both up and tasted really good, no complaints on anything at all. Asked for extra pittas to mop up the hummus and tzatziki and didn't get charged for it which was nice. Seen some of the other reviews on here and thought no, that's not our experience so I'll make the effort to say something good! Service was fine too, although the place wasn't full (it was a Weds evening) but was served quickly and attentively. We had our dog with us and that wasn't a problem either. We'd happily visit again.

Went to this restaurant to celebrate both my graduation and my mother's birthday. And it was lovely! The food was lovely but the staff were absolutely amazing. Both of the young waitresses were lovely to talk to and gave amazing service, they really made the evening. We also got to talk to the kitchen staff to thank them for the meal and they were both lovely too. Would absolutely recommend and we will hopefully be back.

My wife and I had a pre theatre meal here tonight. What lovely well cooked food, stifado and chicken souvlaki. With a superb backlava to finish. Well looked after by staff, very friendly place, will be back soon.

My wife and I have just very much enjoyed an evening meal here. The ambience was authentic and the restaurant maintained a lovely flow of Greek music throughout. The menu and food were excellent and the drinks choices were appropriate and mostly very good value. We had a 1/2 carafe of both white and red 'village' wines for less than one normal bottle in a restaurant and the quality was good. The service was 'outstanding' - I have never said that in my 60 years and it is usually service worries which reduces my appetite for eating out. This has cheered me up no end. Altogether excellent. Bravo to all concerned!

Myself, my mum and dad randomly decided to eat here and we had the lunch mini meze and musakkawith some extra meza plates... Absolutely delicious loved every bite it was lovely and quiet, we weren't rushed or pestered just left to enjoy each and every flavour. Even got complimentary dessert from the chef. First time I visited Stavros was roughly mid 2020. The atmosphere, even until today remains excellent, a true feel of Greek tradition. The food is excellent and the staff are just a pleasure to meet. My only criticism is that since August 2020, they stopped selling a few of my favourite items on their menu, Gyros being the main loss. It has always been my favourite Greek dish and sadly the closest I can now get is Souvlaki, which I must admit.. is better from The Greek, which is just around the corner. I would still highly recommend Stavros for a good, quiet, romantic meal.

I would definitely recommend going here! They have a huge selection of traditional Greek food and drinks. My favourite is the meat meze that has cold and hot starters with a big platter of traditional Greek meat at the end!

Beautiful authentic Greek food. A little bit of Greece in Plymouth. Beautiful meze with really authentic Greek cuisine. Just a little more pitta needed to go with all the meze starters but staff were happy to provide more when asked. Absolutely lovely. Will definitely go again.

My best friend and I had such a great evening here! Originally, we had a trip planned to Greece but due to travel restrictions we couldn't go and instead ended up in Plymouth. Going to the Taverna for dinner really felt like being in Greece! I can highly recommend the Tzatztiki. All staff were so friendly and the whole atmosphere was very authentic. Well wow... Stavros is the taste of Greece that I've been missing! I took my Girlfriend here for an impromptu date and we had the best time. We love Greek food having visited many of the islands. It's great to see Plymouth with a traditional Greek restaurant. Usual favourites available with a few surprises. Prawn saganaki made with prawns and feta cheese . Quite inexpensive. This was our first visit will definitely go back.

Fabulous meal at this Greek restaurant this evening. Shared the Meze sharing platter for two. This is the first time we have been to stavros, but definitely not the last! I had prawn saganaki, and then calamari and my husband had dolmades and then kleftiko. All excellent and washed down with an ice cold mythos. What more can you ask for. Well done stavros.
