The best place to eat, especially if you're getting the ferry to France as next to the terminal. Excellent seafood as well as pies, curry and many other tasty options. My wife and I both had squid and the fish cakes, both really good and reasonably priced. Friendly staff, quick service. It was recommended by friends, really pleased they did

I did not know this place was here. First impression was good. Look new and clean and spacious. I found parking was easy and plenty of space. We had not booked a table but they were able to fit us in. Was a nice friendly greet when we first went it. There was lots of space and also outside areas with tables to. The menu was good and easy to choose from. My grandchildren found what they liked easily. I went for traditional English breakfast . While my family choose more healthy options lol. We were served quite quickly and my food was fresh and hot. And enjoyable. Staff were friendly and helpful. I will be going back. And I would say it's well worth a visit.

Four of us visited in the morning for a late breakfast/brunch. We were able to sit in the conservatory overlooking the marina. A pleasant time in a nice location. The parking is free, but somewhat confusing with the plethora of signs warning of £100 fine for failing to comply! The staff were helpful though. They were good in the restaurant too

My partner and I regularly visit The Dock with his family to go for brunch. The food is fab, and there are lots of gluten free options or amendments available. The views of the harbour are an amazing plus. Would definitely recommend, but book in advance as it's very popular! ⛵️☕️

Great place for your full English breakfast or just a light snack and a coffee. The pancakes are lovely, everything is cooked fresh. There is a lift for the less able amongst us. Great view across the marina and across the Plymouth sound. The staff are really friendly and acomodating. Prices are in my opinion a little high however that might in the quality of the food and drink.

Great food in a great setting. The cappuccinos are the creamiest I’ve ever had, the brunch generous and perfectly cooked. I have visited this place several times and the quality has been consistent each time. On my last visit, a friend asked if it would be possible to have fried bread instead of mushrooms and was told that this would be fine. The fried bread came out absolutely perfect, dark gold, fairly crispy but neither too dry, nor too oily. I thought that this was pretty impressive considering also that this was not on the menu. We didn’t need the desert, but did it anyway and, along with another drink, that was all we could manage. We spent a while walking around looking at the multi million pound Princess yachts in the harbour to walk off our excesses. Would recommend this place, particularly for eating outside on a nice day. It’s tucked away and you wouldn’t expect it to be there, but once you’re in, it’s like another world. Very nice.

What a fantastic location this is and I can't fault but menu wise I have seen far superior which I'm referring to Boston Tea Party and many more. The menu is fine but nothing special I had the Danish basket which was fine. I did find the staff a little offish except this young lady who brought our drinks who was exceptional but the gentleman who greeted us and showed us to our table was real offish and the middle aged lady who took our order was really miserable no enthusiasm. Maybe we went on the wrong day which was a Saturday morning. This place was recommended to us but it is with regret we will not be visiting again. However please don't be put off by my review please try and see what you think. Nothing ventured nothing gained!

Incredibly disappointed. We had heard many great things however had a relatively poor experience. Although it was busy, it took over 20 minutes for a tea and a coffee. We ordered eggs benedicts and avocado and poached egg on toast. The food took just shy of an hour to arrive. People came in way after us and had their food before us. When asked how our meal was, I explained this and the waiter took our payment then walked off part way through me speaking. The food was nice, but not good enough to excuse the poor experience.

Haven't been here for quite some time, but a good chance to make the most of it on a Wednesday for half price! I would be been happy to pay full price. I had the Eggs Royal and the wife eggs Benedict. Both cooked very well, with a beautiful runny egg! The hollandaise tasted nkce and creamy. We had a cappuccino which were hot and tasty. We were sat on the balcony bit, miserable weather, but it's all closed up. Fairly warm sat there. Ad goes on the floor direct you the route to take to keep your distance from people. Some tables seemed not to be used to assist in also keeping our distance. I felt fairly safe in here which was good. I will go back, as it's always a nice treat!

I love this place because they do nice food but the burger I had was very nice and so was my drink. My drink was called crumble non alcoholic drink. The drink tastes like Apple crumble if you love apple crumble you would definitely love this drink. My burger was chicken burger with bbq pulled pork and cheddar cheese topping Highly recommend that you try the food in there and the crumble non cocktail drink

This is my first visit . Can't recommend The Dock Cafe enough. Had an amazing full breakfast and a Latte coffee. £12.50 . The sausages were good quality, the plate's were warm, the food hot. Lovely atmosphere. I Will be going back. Go you won't regret it. You have to book a table because it does get busy.

Went for our anniversary meal. Great experience and lovely seating. Quite a lovely place! Cozy atmosphere, view inside the conservatory was nice. Vegan breakfast is delicious! They also have coconut vegan pancakes with syrup. Went for lunch here & I have to say I'm very impressed. Ham egg & chips very nice, although one complaint is that the tops of the yokes weren't done, they were clear & slimy. I like mine whitened but with the yolk shrill runny, but that's just a personal thing. The haddock & chips were spectacular. Service was very good. All in all a very good experience. Will go again.

I've been a few times now with family, we have all thoroughly enjoyed our food, the taste, the presentation, not to mention the warm welcome from all the staff. The owners welcome dogs, offer sausage if they're allowed, put you on lovely tables, not away out of sight and are genuinely lovely towards them. I would urge you to go try, you won't regret it. Oh, I forgot, the restaurant is in a beautiful setting.

Staff seem nice, not overly making an effort to please but the general look and feel of the place is so nice I’ve introduced many family members. Does seem to be one member of staff that seems to be a bit pretentious who tried to tell us not to have the recommended tonic with gin from the menu but instead ‘the one he really likes’ to which my other half said ‘oh no thanks we will have the one from the menu’ and they guy then said back ‘oh no this one is better’ and my other half had to state ‘he just wanted the flavour from the menu, the one he ordered’. He acted like he thought he knew everything, so we do now have fingers crossed when we visit that we don’t ever get him! But the rest of the staff are fine :)

Lovely cafe on a marina with ample free parking. The location is marred by being on the approach to the ferry port however the area is being developed so this might improve in future. Very pleasant nautical themed decor and lovely semi out door area which is usually busy. The food is delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced. Breakfast is particularly good with great menu options. The tables are a bit small and a table for 4 is pushed for space if all are eating. Staff are generally friendly and attentive although our waitress was a bit off hand. All in all a great little place which is illustrated by it's popularity. Best to book at weekends and peak times.

I would highly recommend this place. Located by millbay marina. The views are amazing. What a experience sat having breakfast coconut vegan pancakes with maple syrup you get three very large pancakes for £8 I could only eat two. They box the third one for me to take away. It's a new building very 6 years old. Indoor and outdoor seating. They do a good large breakfast menu. Chooses of various pancakes Breakfasts . Large lunch menu. Large choice of drinks.wines spirits beers Smoothies coffes teas . Lift for disabled with disabled toilets. Excellent views over looking the marina.. Great for parties open early till late. The staff are very friendly and helpful It is very clean . Great atmosphere. Lovely place with a great location.

If you arrive too early for your ferry, or you just want good quality food then this is the place. We were due to get the 22.00hrs ferry to France and felt hungry. Our food was freshly cooked to order and tasty. Brilliant value for money.

Fantastic location. Views to rival any Plymouth restaurant. Free parking is limited to 3 hours but that should be enough. Extensive menu with something for everyone. I enjoyed the chicken and mango salad. Busy but not noisy on an autumn lunchtime. Child friendly too. Once the rush died down the staff were a bit less attentive but apologised when I went to the bar to chase them.

Well, what can I say other than if you haven't been here yet then you must give it a try! We went for a family meal for my son's 18th and it was fantastic. The menu is very varied, so even picky eaters will find something they like, the food when it arrived was faultless - we had a variety of dishes and all were superb (my 11yr old rated it as his favourite meal ever! High praise indeed). The staff couldn't do enough for us, they were very friendly and approachable and we felt like nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful surroundings add to the experience - even on a rainy day. The prices were also very reasonable - a little pricier than some places but more than worth it for the quality of the food. We will certainly be going regularly now we have discovered it.

Food is tasty enough, reasonably priced and served quite quickly. We've found that service varied between very friendly and quite offish. Our tips have varied accordingly. Lots of windows give excellent views over the small marina and beyond and free parking (3 hours) is always welcome. It's kept very clean which is to be expected but nice to see nonetheless. If you fancy nothing more than a coffee or fancy a full 3 course blitz, The Dock will tick a lot of boxes for a lot of people. We will return for sure.

This was my second visit to the Dock, i didn't bother to review it the first time as it was very average but this visit nearly a year and half later was great! We were sat in the small undercover/alfresco heated area with a lovely view of the marina. Staff were friendly and attentive, breakfast menu was quite basic but has all the favorites (eggs bennidict, pancakes etc) our food was tasty and best of all for me the coffee was on point (i ordered two!) Would come back again.

That Dock has a great atmosphere. We had English breakfasts and the food and service was excellent. It would have been nice to sit in the conservatory, however the heater wasn’t working and it was very cold. Having said that we had a great time.

The location, free parking, our welcome, the food and the service were all faultless. We all agreed that this was one of the best dining experiences that we have ever had (and that is a lot of dining given that our collective ages is in excess of 400). We arrived as a party of six, to be given a warm friendly welcome and taken straight to our table. The restaurant has a modern clean yet nautical style, it is light and airy and leaves you feeling relaxed and comfortable. Staff service was excellent managing the balance between timely service and not being pushy. Everybody enjoyed each and every course chosen, be aware that the Nacho starter is a very generous to the point of being a main course as well as a very tasty choice. Great range of cocktails and drinks in general are available. We all agreed we would love to visit again especially on a summer afternoon, when we could enjoy the fantastic water front views. As they offer a breakfast menu we won't wait until the summer, to enjoy the daytime views. So yes I would definitely recommend the venue, the staff and the menu to all who read this and hope the restaurant continues to build a great reputation.

Visited The Dock cafe restaurant Friday 23rd for my wife's birthday. My first time there, and I was greatly impressed with the 'easy on the eye', and we'll thought out layout. As there was not a table anywhere. That didn't have an outside view. Nicely played out, with friendly and polite staff who gave you their undecided attention and conversation. You could choose to eat inside or outside. Either way, the views are something to behold. Plymouth is most definitely on the up. The Dock is also dog friendly, and dogs must be on a lead obviously. A big plus here was that my son's dog was given a cut up sausage to consume, no charge, which I took to be very considerate and generous and seriously thoughtful. There were water trays located on the outside veranda where we sat in the glorious sunshine. There is FREE parking for 3 hours. Which is ample time to eat, drink, chat and move on.😁The food was superbly delicious, and very reasonably priced. I couldn't fault the food served in any way. The location of The Dock is ideally positioned. Near the city centre, but far enough away to enjoy the eye catching offered views. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Highly recommend you try it folks. Well cooked and prepared food, reasonable prices, friendly staff and dog friendly. I seriously doubt you'd be disappointed.

Came here about a week or so ago, this restaurant has the advantage of being in an extremely picturesque area of Plymouth, and having a panoramic view from pretty much every table is an additional advantage. To my delight they have a very complete cocktail menu which included two variations of the classic Tom Collins. I ordered one of these straight away, this was followed by the Twinkle cocktail, this contained elder-flower, lemon juice vodka and champagne, delicious. On to the food, I chose the smoked duck breast to start and wild mushroom and spinach gnocchi for a main, finishing with a vanilla creme brulee, all delicious. All the good drinks and food were perfectly complimented by friendly attentive staff, resulting in a good experience all round. I definitely plan to visit again, and maybe make The Dock a venue for an occasion such as a birthday or business gathering. Highly recommended.
