The best fresh made Asian food you can have in Plymouth. My husband and I went there for our anniversary celebration and it was my husband's surprise for me. Im so happy of that choice. The staff was fantastic, very helpful and friendly. Dishes was served very quick and looks so colourful and delicious and it really tastes amazing. We highly recommend this place. 👌👌👌👌

Went to try the new vegan menu and had no duck tombusi, bang bang cauliflower and banana katsu. It was good, especially the cauliflower. Tasted the vegan sticky ribs and the vegan chili squid which was also good Seats are not that comfortable at the benches when sat for a full menu and drinks

Really good food, friendly staff and a gorgeous location in Royal William Yard. There’s also free parking (for three hours) nearby at Devils Point 🍜

Situated in beautiful old buildings within Royal William Yard near marina with outstanding view of the sound (see photos). Food simply devine & Buddha shaped green beer bottles, plus free Green Tea really lovely. Recommend the Firecracker curry if like a little spice. Partitions on each table & face masks must be worn to enter until seated. Toilets on site (including accessible disabled toilets). Suitable for younger children too.

Nice vibe by the water and I'm assuming a historic area. The Royal William Yards looks like it use to be an old fortress that was renovated into restaurants and shops. I had a few appetizers and they were all good. I had a fresh made juice as well with the beet roots and it was made perfectly. Definitely will swing through again to check out some of the Ramen and other bowls and main dishes

Lovely staff, the location is amazing. Food is delicious but shame the 4 stuff we ordered didn't come together - got first main, 5 minutes after one side, then second side and about 5 minutes later the second main so by that time my main was cold Staff later came to pick up the plates which we weren't finished with... Ordered for a collection and ended up being nearly an hour passed the collection time. The staff at the bar were friendly and apologetic, and did provide us with free wine as an apology (unfortunately we couldn't drink that night). The food were a good quality but the prices are just overly excessive. Its difficult to return to this chain as for me at least, the prices, just don't reflect the expectations and experience.

Friendly staff . Well cooked food . Previously a regular customer to Wagamama in Exeter which has gone downhill over the last few years. This was a nice surprise to come to Plymouth and have lovely attentive staff and food was cooked to perfection.

I love Wagamama’s food, the restaurant is clean and tidy. A good covid structure has been installed and you pay by phone at the end of the meal. Always enjoyable food, I don’t believe anyone can moan at what Wagamama produces. O and free green tea as well, it’s actually nice. Go for a quick walk round the premises and go up the steps to devils point for a unique view of the harbour.

Will definitely be back for more! I've been to a few Wagamama's, but this is the first time visiting this one, and in England. I cannot fault this restaurant, me and my partner had a great lunch together. The staff were quick, kind and amazingly helpful, one of the best I've experienced. The food was amazing, it tasted as good as it looked. We ordered the firecracker chicken, Chicken Katsu curry, with beef steamed buns and chicken gyoza as sides. I recommend these highly (but the firecracker is REALLY hot). The atmosphere of the restaurant was very cosy, it was decorated and styled modernly. The location was very pretty and quiet. If you visit Plymouth, go here and give this a try. You should not be disappointed.

I would recommend Wagamama to everyone. The staff in there are incredibly kind, and extremely knowledgeable on the foods and sake offerings (I would definitely recommend trying a sake if you haven't before). The food is always extremely fresh and tastes wonderful. There's food there that caters to the food nervous to the adventurous. The setting makes for a wonderful evening.

Light meal but catching our evening ferry. Surroundings in old dock yards really interesting and very cosy restaurant on a stormy June night! Busy when we were there (Saturday evening), and got quite noisy, but fine. Food seemed fresh and juices were lovely. Didn't like the payment method (via a QR code on phone) although I can see it saves the staff a job. Just felt a bit impersonal.

I went to Wagamama for lunch with my sister. It was very quiet as it was quite early on a Monday, and there was only one other group in the restaurant when we arrived. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. All of the food that we had was delicious, namely the duck pancakes, the fried prawn dumplings, and the chicken katsu curry. Overall, it was slightly pricey, but definitely worth it for the quality of the food. I would absolutely visit this restaurant again and I would recommend the food here to everyone.

Fantastic night out with service to match! We were served mainly by Connor who was prompt, accurate and welcoming. Connor was able to help us with all of our requests, notably with the doneness of the Teriyaki Steak Soba, which was incredible! Thanks for a great night! Edit 27/12/22 Attended again last night, a slow start to the evening as I believe we were forgotten about for 20 mins! Understandable this time of year. We managed to grab the attention of someone who happened to be the manager on shift. The manager took care of us promptly and even offered us some free edamame for the wait. The food was fantastic as always, our original server came back and apologised about the wait to which we assured them was not an issue at all. Thanks again Wagamamas for a great night, still 5 stars!

Went into the establishment and was greeted with a smile. Had a wide selection of fruit drinks to pick. Had, I think the HiFive juice which felt like pure rejuvenation in a glass. This rejuvenation would be needed for what was to come. I ordered the Firecracker Curry, our host. Haaris warns that it's got a kick and specifically warns not to eat the chilli itself. Sadly, I saw this as a challenge and GOOD LORD. The heat of the firecracker curry was a slow build. Initially met with "Oh it's not too hot!" I smugly ate more and more. Slowly but surely the fires of hell unleashed in my mouth. I was arrogant, I was foolish, before I know it I was fighting the urge to make a scene and not look like a crying heap of sadness that can't handle his food. Still, I couldn't stop as it was just that delicous. The chicken perfectly marinated in the sauce, the rice fluffed to perfection. Side note: I was helping myself occasionally to the Teriyaki Duck of my partners plate and HOLY MOLY It was the tastiest thing I've ever had. If I find out that Wagamama's does the duck separately or in a bun or something then I wouldn't be writing this review, I'd be too busy legging it back there to scoff it. Finally over the beautiful ordeal, I think Haaris was concerned that he'd be an asset to a murder, given my reaction. Offering water. Instead I order a banana katsu for dessert. I'm one for hyperbole, and I suppose I can be quite reactionary but I'm not exaggerating when I say that was the nicest banana of my entire life. I could have ate... 3... Maybe 4 more of the same dish. My partner, bless her rolling her eyes in the taxi as I'm still banging on about it nearly an hour later. I'm still banging on about it now. From the staff friendliness to the food I'd give it an easy 5 stars. Keep in mind these chaps are working through a pandemic and have probably had all sorts of awful people though their doors they've still managed to be friendly, genuine and enjoyable in their company. Would I go again? Absolutely Am I scared to go again? If I order the firecracker, yes. Would I go back again just to shamelessly order 3 helpings of the banana katsu? Also yes. Did it hurt the next day? Yes. A lot. But I'm a grown man and I know the risks to these things.

Wagamama is one of those safe places to eat, it's a chain, you know what you are going to get and there is not a lot else to say about that. However this Waga vist had a stand out star Ben who was new to the team. Super polite, very helpful and had already got the menu numbers in his head. Ben made all the difference to a standard meal and elevated it to a more memorable dinner.

Friday lunch with family. I have celiac disease and was really impressed with the service to make sure my meal was gluten free. I was even given gluten free soya sauce. Wow Wow WOW.... it's sooo satisfying when the service is as excellent quality as the food - tantamount to perfection, the staff, particularly Katie who was full of character. friendliness, care, professionalism and knowledge, was of a the highest standard. Millie/Milli/Milly was awesome too and a gentleman wearing trouser suspenders was caring and just right on it. Impressed to say the least, we were cared for, treated with utter respect with good speed, recommendations and fun times. It's great when staff, even after near the end of a 12 hours shift, can still maintain it with an honest sparkle. Well done to you Katie, you are a shining example of the best practice that there is. You deserve to win that trip and have a massive pay rise too - an asset to the company and the humankind.

I really like Wagamama's offer. They offer a reliable way of finding good quality fresh food when out and about. Drinks are a bit pricey, but you can always have green tea if on a budget! (It's free, and very good!) Staff are friendly too. Oh, and they're great with and for kids. Update (April '22) less good tonight. Still reasonably good food, but the seitan wasn't as good as previously, and all three of us left hungry! Perhaps we didn't order enough, but I'm sure similar has been fine in the past...

It is not too expensive to eat here and is a good opportunity to dip into Asian food culture within Plymouth. Overall very good for families and couples.

We went on a busy Sunday lunch time and did suffer a bit as the staff were struggling to keep up. Food was excellent but I was with a group of 10 - we had to chase for the delivery of our drinks order to be completed and the person that received their main dish first (surprisingly quickly, as it happens) had finished before the last couple of dishes were delivered to the table. The same happened with the deserts - in fact most had finished before the last dish (just a sorbet) was delivered.

Nice restaurant in a trendy Royal William Yard. However, the food was just ok. I ordered a steak Ramen, and it was cold and way under seasoned. Beef was very chewy. And ramen is fusioned between Ramen and Pho. The dipping sauce for gyoza was a little sweet for me too. I personally love fusion food but this doesn’t make the cut for me. Service wasn't good either. One of our friends didn't get his food until 10 mins after other people were served.

This was my first time here for me and my family. The venue is really fresh and inviting. With alot of smiling faces as we entered. We were greeted a seated very quickly . The menu all looked tasty. The side dishes were excellent, however my main was a little underwhelming. But i believe that to be down to my personal taste and choosing an inappropriate dish. We chose to have the sides as a starter with the mains to arrive later. The sides came staggered over the course of 10 minutes, which was less than ideal. This then was the same with the mains, albeit with a shorter window, but still an uncomfortably large window. 1 side was entirely missed off and we also witnessed the same dish being sent to a diffeeent table (which we was later told was a complete mistake on their part). They were however apologetic and offered our group the choice of a discount on the bill or free deserts for each of us. Overall a good experience, let down by tables being worked in a chaotic system of each server working entirely at random throughout the dining room.

Had few expectations of my visit to Plymouth Wagamamas. After all it’s a chain and one that’s been around a while. The menu would be tired and at best adequate. Erm nothing could be further from the truth. A beautiful well designed setting supported by very friendly and attentive staff. Really enjoyed chatting to them about the menu. Ahh the menu! I mean wow it’s quite extensive. Low carb? No problem. I had an amazing salad with squid. Enjoyed all of it plus the novelty of eating with chopsticks was a bonus. A nice selection of beers I hadn’t seen before as well. I had an alcoholic ginger beer which I’d recommend trying. There really wasn’t anything to complain about. The atmosphere was buzzing and fun. If you haven’t been, go. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I’ll certainly be back.

After touring The Hoe with my best mates we decided to go here for early dinnner. While the price is midrange and expensive for university students, it's always nice to treat yourself. I went for a dark source dish which was pretty tasted as expected. I paid £10 for my dish, so I would have preferred a bigger portion. At the time the restaurant was dead so our food came quite quickly. I also had ice cream for desert which was very nice. I will go to Wagamamas again in the future, but only for nice occasions with friends/family.

Having eaten at several Wagamamas over the years a recent (July 2013) visit to the branch at Royal William was a bit of a disappointment. The quality of the meals was not up to the usual standard. The chilli ramen bowl was stuffed full of noodles, bean sprouts and chicken stock, but sadly little in the way of chilli, spring onions, coriander etc. I noticed the expensive ingredients were lacking, whilst the cheaper padding was in plentiful supply. I don't know whether this was a portion mistake at Plymouth or whether the chain as a whole has decided to 'down spec' its meals and push up profits. The second problem was that, although they warn you the meals will come when they are ready, that didn't prepare us for 3 main meals to arrive very quickly, with the fourth 20 minutes later, just as the first three were finishing eating.
