It was lovely experience eating middle Eastern food, it was very busy during the day. lot of takeaway requests which means they are busy people,long queue for getting a table even though we booked prior coming. Authentic food but place gets messy due to busiest hours. They have restrooms on top floor but I don't think it's very comfortable place for wheelchairs users. Hands down the best and tastiest food in Preston, bar none!! Jaffa has become a mainstay for Prestonians and uni students alike over the last few years. It has the most amazing grilled (on a genuine charcoal barbecue) food which you could easily be eating in a Mediterranean country. It’s a bit small and can get cramped when it’s busy (pretty much always to be honest) but I don’t see that as a bad thing. Purely because in my opinion, even if this were twice the size, they’d have no trouble filling it. It’s always very cosmopolitan in here as there are always a great deal of international students frequenting here. 10/10 for the food whether it’s been taken out or eaten in. Top of anyones list for places to eat in Preston! All menu items are halal.

Polite and excellent service from staff. Came with wife and kids. We ordered the Jaffa mix grill with chips and hummous on side, and chicken sharwama calzone fatayer. Food was served quick and cooked to perfection. Very tasty meals both of them, kids loved the fatayer! We were all stuffed after the meals. Best thing is that the food is relatively cheap in price even though the generous portions and good food quality. Will definitely be back to try more from the menu and happy to recommend to family and friends. My advice is that if you are coming with more than 4 people, try to book a table as this place can get very crowded and seating spaces get filled very quickly. Also bring cash with you, they accept only cash payments at moment.

Lovely Mediterranean style food (Palestinian). Family run. Very fast service. Very popular with locals and students/staff from the local University. Large portions of food. Reasonably priced. I would recommend their falafel and also their pasta dishes. Hummus is really tasty. They also have other traditional family dishes.

One of the best grilled options restaurants in North West. It has a wonderful and delicious grilled options. All Halal meat. There paid parking behind it which is very reasonable in price. Sometimes it is too busy, However, it worth waiting. The staff and chiefs are wonderful. Variety of options including vegetarians options..

I was on my way up to Scotland having travelled from near Newbury, I saw this place and read some of the previous reviewers... I decided to make a pit stop and OMG it was so totally worth it. I have visited this establishment 3 times and found the food to be off really good Standerd, very friendly and helpful only problem is they have a habit of moving people from there tables once they have started there meals and witnessed the same thing with other customers that really is unacceptable it’s happened to me every time I visit last night it was really frustrating they expected me and my two guest to move to a table for one I refused and they respected my response and left us alone to enjoy the food they are victims of there own success expansion to a bigger building would be recommended

I went in first time last week and I can't fault the quality of food. I even got extra Chicken Tikka's for free which he cooked by mistake for another order. The Kofta kebabs were nicely done and the naan wasn't too thick, just about right so it doesn't give a stomach ache. Sign of good food is that you can go for a run straight after. You can definitely do this at this place.

A great little takeaway, in the centre of Preston. I've always found the staff here are very friendly and welcoming, which has always made the experience better. The kebabs here are delicious, probably one the best I've had. There rice is seasoned really well, it's not your standard boiled steamed rice - they add some magic in there. The place it self isn't huge, and it's quite "cosy" because of the lack of space, the tables and chairs are close together, but as it's such a well liked takeaway, I can understand why.

Fantastic grilled meats! I'd highly recommend trying the Mixed Grill, I ordered it recently and it was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The place was extremely busy so I chose takeaway and the whole meal was well packaged and included enough napkins for the most messiest of eaters. It's a cash only business so make sure you've got cash before visiting.

I have eaten food like this all over the word and I have to say this place is amazing. I was in the UK for business for 4 months and are here at least 2-3 per week. It’s that good. Nice little Middle Eastern restaurant/takeaway with a huge range of items on its menu so there's something for everyone - the falafels were amazing! Do be warned this place is (at least currently) cash only and I didn't see any signs warning of this - there's an ATM down the road at the Tesco Express if you find yourself in the same situation as us.

Jaffa is a truly wonderful place to eat. In the bustling district of Friargate its a hidden gem. Food is absolutely delicious. You might want to try the mixed grill, lamb chops. The chicken shawama is beautiful and comes with delicious jaffa rice. The fataya with feta cheese and parsley is to die for as is the Shawama calzone. Definitely worth a visit. Can eat in or take out.

This place is a landmark in Preston. It serves really delicious and fresh middle East food. The grilled meats are their speciality. Quality is unbeatable, prices average, but service is their point of weakness. Staff could be rather indifferent , haughty and discontent with any question or simple request, may be they are too busy to bother about feelings of their customers. You pay as you order, they accept only cash and you will receive no proper receipt, just a piece of paper with your order number. It is recommended if you can withstand their attitude.

I would've liked to put a 5 star has the food here is brilliant. I got a mixed grill from jaffas today, I always come every week, today I brought my friend as he had never been before.. however the guy with the shoulder length (long hair) is quite rude, you ask him for something his reply is WHAT, and looks at you in a funny way, only asking for some sauce, or some peppers, chillies or whatever . When we where waiting I was watching him with customers, he comes across has very arrogant! His customer service skills are terrible. He doesn't even look happy to work there. Food excellent. His customer service. Rubbish! I will be coming back again and next time he'll be getting told if he's the same Hopefully the owner will have a word with him.

First visit yesterday but it won't be our last! A no-frills eatery providing a wide variety of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern dishes in a buzzing but cozy and friendly atmosphere. The grilled Lamb chops and Lamb kofte kebabs were excellent as was the accompanying Jaffa rice and salad. The kitchen area is, commendably, in open view for all to see how their food is prepared and cooked. Low prices, ample portions and high quality ensure that this venue is busy but the service is swift and efficient. Highly recommended. UPDATE 3-6-18. Revisited today following it's minor refurbishment and can confirm all my previous comments above. This is undoubtedly one of the best eateries in Preston.

A fantastic alternative to the normal takeaways. Serving a wide range of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food you’re spoilt for choice and the portions are generous. We have been multiple times and have tried a number of items including chicken shawarma meal, halloumi, garlic bread, hummus and pita and have never been disappointed. Next up is the kebabs! If you’re going to eat in be prepared for a busy environment. I’ve never ate in at the restaurant but I may in the future. The takeaway food is well packed and has always been piping hot by the time I’ve got it home.

After thinking Jaffa in Manchester was a goldmine, this hidden gem in preston has completly flipped my idea of Mediterranean food!!
