Excellent Sunday Roast. The meat was juicy and full of flavor. Nice have a good farm restaurant in our locality. Great service. They are very attentive to individual needs. The place can be full so better reserve.

There's been a massive improvement and expansion of the pantry since i last dined there. It's an absolutely beautiful and peaceful atmosphere there. There's adequate parking, excellent customer service, you get table service from polite and friendly staff who check to see you are okay or need anything else. The menu is varied and affordable. I had a burrito and it was tasty and filling. I will definitely be visiting again..

This was a great find in Cottam. It's in a relatively quiet location although the level of housebuilding all around it will no doubt change this. The building is attractive and spotlessly clean with friendly staff and well presented food. My Burger and Fries tasted great and my mother's Bacon Benedict was the best she could remember having recently. Drinks were also very good. Prices were perhaps a little above average but worth it for the quality and with food & energy prices currently rising it wasn't unexpected to be paying a little more. The only slight negative was the echoey nature of where we were sat, by the windows, which amplified the voices of the four ladies sat alongside us somewhat. Not the venues fault though.

Absolutely incredible. We went for Sunday dinner for the first time and I was blown away. The place itself is absolutely stunning, and the food was absolutely amazing. Best Sunday dinner I have had in a very long time! Food and drinks prices are all really reasonable, or could be considered a bargain for the quality! The staff were fantastic, really helpful and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

What a brilliant breakfast served by the even more wonderful Cassie. Let me explain ...2 kids and four adults all with changes to the menu, types of food cooked differently, additional extras, change of mind several times, swaps to the original menu and we were all served with a smile and a very patient attitude by Cassie. Not only did she get everything right (honestly don't think I could have done so) she did it positivley and with a massive smile. The food was great but it was the service that will make me come here again and again. Lovely place with a family atmosphere.

I have given this place a 3 star because I find that they are never accommodating. I arrived there early afternoon with five well behaved 9 year olds for a smoothie/food and was informed that there wasn't a table available for this size and the others were booked up inside. We sat outside in the scorching heat and if we were not on foot I would have left to find another place. During the whole time there, the same few tables were occupied inside and the rest were empty. Thank you for the discount because of the lack of ingredients to the childrens drinks but unfortunately not a great experience.

Lovely place, has a really fresh modern feel to it. Food is fantastic. So far ive tried the korean fried chicken burger, sunday dinner and the meatball sandwich, all of these have been amazing and the portion size is massive, you certainly wont go hungry. service is really friendly, although can be a little slow at busy. I’ve been coming to the pantry for about 3 years now and the food gets better and better. Really good value for money- often can’t finish a portion! I Make a trip here at least once a week. Staff are also really accommodating and friendly and service is efficient! My fave place for a social catch up with family and friends!

The customer service and ambience was great today but I did not enjoy my Avocado toast like I have done in the past. It was good to look at physically but wasn't great tasting. Brunch was nice, well presented but luke warm rather than hot. The oat milk is not a good brand it tastes quite chemically unfortunately. The toilets need a refresh and a good clean, it just seems like no one takes pride in them being clean, there is thick dust all around the skirting, the floor is dirty and the paint is peeling in very visible places. For the loveliness of the decor it’s such a shame it isn’t being maintained. The staff seemed to be having fun working with each other but that didn’t carry over in to the way we were treated, it took 15mins for someone to come over after we had eaten so we could ask for another coffee. I really want to love it, it’s a good menu, the main chef is awesome when he’s there, the location is perfect. It is just a bit frustrating :(

Went over to try the new Friday night experience as had heard amazing things about the launch night last week and it did not disappoint! The restaurant carries itself as well during the evening as during the day, and the menu is a fantastic sample of smaller dishes which allowed us to choose a few dishes to try. The service was fantastic - plenty of staff around and absolutely no pressure for us to vacate the table (which we have experienced in other restaurants recently) and all very attentive, polite and helpful. They were able to make recommendations for us and had good knowledge of the menu to help us to choose the right dishes for our party of 2. The food arrived in good time to allow fresh preparation but without taking an eternity and was delicious - very well presented, and can highly recommend the chicken satay sticks. The food is very reasonably priced and we also enjoyed a very nice bottle of wine to go with the dishes, so all in all a great night out. The Pantry is also trialling live music monthly - I heard last week was a roaring success and although there was no live music last night we didn't feel like we missed out but will be back to try it out as there is little to offer locally for a nice evening out. Thank you to the team at The Pantry for such an enjoyable evening!!

Absolutely love Maxy Farm Pantry- we've been several times now, went in today with my husband, mum and daughter, the food was AMAZING as always and all the staff were so kind and made our experience so lovely, especially for my daughter- the staff went the extra mile and my daughter she was very impressed with all the marshmallows for her hot chocolate! This place is now geared up towards evening dining and I'm sure it's great for that. But it has lost all of the cosiness and charm that it used to have for meeting friends for a coffee and cake. The back room used to be particularly welcoming with the sofa and armchair. It all feels a bit clinical now like it's trying to be a city centre restaurant. If that's what you're looking for then it's fine.

Stopped by on a sunny weekend as we were out for a cycle ride. There aren't currently any facilities for securing the bikes or sitting outside, however the staff I spoke to said that was something planned for later this year which is promising. We both had takeaway cappuccinos which were great, but sadly a little overpriced at just over £7 for two. For that reason I can't give 5 stars.

Sunday roast.... Come on! Lovely pink lamb, puffy Yorkshire puds... The beef was great too, a choice of pink or well done(who is having that?). All in all, me and mine were very pleased. Attentive staff but didn't make you feel pressured. I struggle to see how you could be disappointed here.

The place to go for a true-blue English breakfast. Although their menu is varied, they offer all of the classic English breakfast options. Their full English features meats from local farms. I was particularly impressed by the bacon. I can honestly say it was the best bacon I have ever had! The service was excellent, the decor was tasteful and best of all, there is plenty of parking! I would say, that if you're looking for a great English breakfast, look no further than Maxy Farm for your fix! Also, they have huge teacups!

Reading some of the bad reviews on here makes my stomach turn. They find issues that aren’t even there. To be honest, idiotic customers like that are better staying away, pathetic really. Went in today for my second time. The building is modern and spacious; staff are attentive (especially the manager, Rob. A perfect example of hospitality done right); the food selection is extensive and reasonably priced; the food is fresh, well-balanced and a good amount. Couldn’t find fault if I tried. And to the person below moaning that it’s £3.50 for a coffee, maybe try going to some greasy spoon where they serve awful coffee, pay rubbish wages and it’s served in a cheap, soulless setting. Idiots like that will keep Preston years behind places like York etc. You want quality you’ve got to pay for it!

Really love it here - so good that we made a special trip back. Now it has reopened after the national lockdown, with a lovely makeover. The food is still amazing - a very well thought out menu, gluten free options available, veggies catered for, healthier options but mostly the most tasty food ! The flavours are incredible. This time I had the chicken schwarma - so fresh - and the deserts are delicious too. All portions are really generous. Shame I was driving (plenty of parking available) because my friends' cocktails looked divine. Definitely going back - and getting a lift next time!

We have just returned from lunch as a group of 5 including 3 children and were very impressed. The setting is very nice and has been designed to a high standard. The staff are very friendly, polite and well trained. We all had breakfast options which were fab - the kids all had a children's mini breakfast option which was perfect for them and only £4.00. All the food was served promptly and was prepared to a high standard! The cafe has recently received an excellent review in the local newspaper and it is easy to see why, we will certainly be back after our very enjoyable visit today- thank you team Pantry!!

Went to Maxy Farm at the weekend, absolutely love the new renovations the place looks incredible! I went with two friends and we each had something different but all amazing! I had the chicken Caesar salad which I can honestly say was one of the best I've had! One friend had the shawarma which looked incredible and my other friend had the maple bacon french toast which I had a bit of and oh my days it's was so good!!! Definitely getting it next time..the place was really busy but we felt looked after and the Covid safety measures felt really safe. Will definitely be back soon..

I had the ham hock eggs Benedict (one of the nicest breakfasts I've ever had), my wife had french toast with blueberry compote, granola and honey and the little one had french toast with Nutella. It was just amazing. The staff were really helpful and friendly, food and drinks came out in good time and everything tasted amazing and was reasonably priced. Will definitely make this our go to breakfast place.

Always a great time. Wife had a hair in her scrambled egg, we expected fresh egg but was given a fresh meal so can't complain and they were very good about it. The menu is varied and delicious - bit disappointed they've removed the traditional French toast. Was the best thing on the menu in my opinion, thick delicious French toast, fruity compote, nuts and granola, maple syrup all balanced perfectly with marscapone cream! We should lament the loss of this spectacular menu item. Lest we forget.

Visited for the first time since reopening today. The space is lovely, but if you're seated upstairs it does feel a bit like you're forgotten about(service was a bit slow). We ordered Maple Bacon French Toast and Avocado Toast plus two lattes. The avocado toast arrived on what looked like a slice of shop bought Hovis which was a bit disappointing. The French toast was fantastic, highly recommend it. The lattes were slow to arrive and we're disappointingly weak, but these were taken off the bill. In summary, some good potential but improvements needed e.g better bread and coffee machines.

Lovely food and a great selection but since first going I have tried going back with a few people and not very accommodating. First time there were 14 of us so fair enough I hadn’t rang in advance and was told to ring ahead next time. Rang this morning at 9.15 to reserve a table for 8 at 9.45 and was told I had to preorder even though we would be there in half an hour. I won’t be trying to go with a large group again they obviously can’t cope with large groups but will go again if only a couple of us.

Food is ok, average really, just a caffe food, it's the same like in Moka or any other similar place. They need to work on communication with their clients, ask more questions of when and how to serve as waiting time is long especially at busy times.

The cafe is very nice, the food is presented well however I was very disappointed when visiting for breakfast with my son, I asked if it was possible just to have poached egg or scrambled egg on toast and was told point blankly NO without any reasoning, the menu had poached egg/scrambled egg on offer but it was with avocado or smoked salmon neither of which I liked, the manager was at the side of me when my request was rejected and he didn’t offer an explanation either, in hindsight I should have looked at the menu closer and I could have topped my sons breakfast up with extra egg and toast at a minimal cost and just requested an extra plate, so please be aware of this option if you are refused a simple breakfast, it’s not the cheapest place but with a little bit of flexibility from the staff our experience would have been better
