Rise is honestly a lovely little gem of Preston, what you would also call an Instagram cafe as honestly everything is so photogenic. The menu isn't massive but there's a nice variety even for vegans and I've yet to have a single bad meal or beverage. Great friendly staff, seating upstairs, downstairs and some outside which is great and it's easily found just off the main road that leads to the train station. I've been countless times now since it opened and always take new friends to try it. I'd suggest trying out this great place.

A beautiful breakfast / brunch / lunch cafe situated in Preston & York. Rise operates on a walk-in basis only and does not accept reservations. We visited the Preston location at 1pm and got a table immediately downstairs. The upstairs area has an open kitchen and lots of natural light so it is great for taking pictures. What we ordered: Eggs Royale with a side of Avocado Turkish Eggs Almond and Cherry French Toast ( although it's now changed to strawberries and cream) Side of Halloumi and mushrooms Homemade Lemonade Fresh OJ Peppermint tea The food came out fresh and presented beautifully. The French toast had caramelized white chocolate and overall tasted like Bakewell. The brioche was nicely soaked. A really nice dish. The Turkish Eggs were different they had sweet potato in. Both set of egg dishes didn't have runny eggs which I was a little disappointed about but the food was still tasty. They don't serve any halal food but have lots of veggie / vegan options and we were told everything is cooked separately so no cross contamination. Really polite and friendly staff. The reusable straws they give you for drinks are cute, they have lovely little messages on them. Time: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm Saturday & Sunday 9am – 5pm Food is served till 4pm daily. A great cafe at the heart of city center. Nice cosy atmosphere with small but excellent menu. The staffs are motivated and attentive. Must visit if you come to Preston city center.

Came in for the first time, had some eggs Benedict with extra halloumi. Latte and fresh orange juice. Overall, I would say, as big b-fast fan, this is the best place to get this kind of quality in food and services. Poached eggs to perfection, soft on the inside, even the bread was carefully toasted for that balanced crunch to it. I don't know what the chef does there, maybe fairy dust or unicorn spices, I don't know, but I am Definetly coming back for more, because it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this. Staff is friendly and very welcoming, place is nicely decorated, giving you a very comfy, cozy vibe.

My oh my, what a breath of fresh air for Preston this place is. Possibly my best breakfast since the Luxor in Las Vegas. Eggs Benedict, simply scrumptious, great coffee only surpassed by the lovely friendly staff and chef. I would keep this to myself but I want the owners to prosper, they deserve it. Cute and small café located in the middle of town, staff are extremely friendly and are always nearby for a quick response. Service is fast and food is extremely tasty. Menu isn't too big to be spoilt for choice, but does contain a lot of avocado dishes on the menu, and no traditional breakfast option. Overall, top place for brunch!

Beautiful decor and ambiance. Staff were super friendly and helpful especially with explaining the menu. I follow a halal diet and waiters assured me that they cook veg dishes separately and substitute meat with veg options. This was much appreciated! Food was both a feast for the eyes and the stomach- absolutely delicious! Will definitely be visiting again! Just wish the knives were sharper so I could cut through the toast more easily.

A Great find! Will be my go-to now when picking a place to catch up! The staff are great (we barely stood outside in the cold looking in with curiosity having never been and a staff member spotted us and welcomed us straight in!). We tried the eggs benedict and pumpkin chai. Both delicious!

Fantastic food. Really eclectic menu options. party of 4 all had different things and all amazing. The cafe decor is gorgeous and the waitress with the pink hair is genuinely one of the nicest people you could wish to meet and when we asked her how she was so happy she said she just loves her job. How nice is that? You can't book so you have to be prepared to wait outside but you can wait in the miller arcade if the weather's bad.

We went to Rise for the second time yesterday, Saturday 25th June. Again we had a lovely lunch ; smashed avocado on sourdough toast for one of us and the flamingo bowl for the other. Alongside these we had an iced americano with the main for one and cappuccinos for the other main. Food and drinks well prepared and presented as usual. The staff are knowledgeable, competent and very pleasant. Overall another lovely lunch and when necessary well worth waiting in the queue to get a table.

Brilliant little quaint place for young people to eat in if you are happy with cheeky waiters directing you to self order at the take out till on the side where prices are 5-10% higher (as they include packaging) than the main menu. Also young people in groups can easily miss out an unclean fork (try zooming the pic). Can't fault the food though except that Asda's sourdough 🍞 bought on the day of expiry makes better toast. BUT it all looks fab on INSTAGRAM!! 😂

Rise it a lovely little brunch place on the entrance of miller arcade. They have a good variety of breakfast and lunch options and when I went I tried the poached eggs with salmon and mushrooms. The food itself was quite good, however the eggs left a vinegar taste in the mouth sometimes maybe due to how it was poached. The experience for me also wasn't the best partly due to the wait time of 1 hour 20 mins from lining up to go in, to our food being served, which we waited 50 mins to get once in. Obviously it cannot be helped if they are busy but perhaps employing more staff and equipment would be more appropriate. Also I was seated on a stool next to the kitchen so it was uncomfortable to sit on and quite noisy. I might go again at a quieter time as I dont think I got the best experience. The price is slightly pricey which you'd expect from a brunch place. Id recommend to go to this place for a brunch but avoid lunch time as you will be waiting for hours. Preferably before 12 and after 3.

To be honest, there wasn't a lot on the menu that I liked as most of the dishes had egg in them which I can't eat. In the end I opted for a dish with wild mushrooms which was delicious. Very busy place so be prepared to wait.

This is a gem in Preston, with a beauty interior split over two floors (and the basement level is fantastic for studying). If the vibe wasn't perfect enough (chilled tunes, plush chairs, marble tables), the staff make it a 11/10 experience, asking about allergies, providing class recommendations, and regularly checking up on you throughout your time there. The food (with some pricier options) is really tasty (try the cinnamon ginger waffles) and has a multitude of vegan and veggie options. Will definitely be here every weekend.

Such a lovely cafe with amazing customer service. The latte and vanilla chai was delicious. The staff were super helpful, they explained all adaptations that can be made for us as we eat halal food without us even having to ask. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again for sure! 💕

This is exactly the kind of brunch place Preston really needed! We had the smoothie bowls here and they were amazing, a good portion size for the price as well. Service here was really good, the interior is amazing and well decorated and overall, really nice vibes for the place. I would 100% come here again. I do wish they had more veggie brunch options available tho but I'm sure they'll expand their menu as the business grows.

Having visited for the first time today with a group of 4. We attended on a busy Sunday morning and we were greeted with a friendly member of staff who took down our names and said they would have a table in 30 minutes. We left for a wander round the town centre and returned to find our table was ready and waiting. We were seated downstairs, asked about any allergies and passed a menu with instructions how to order. The menu was full of varying options and the staff were also flexible with changing some of the food choices. The food was all served at the same time, perfectly cooked and extremely tasty and filling. You certainly get what you pay for. I had a smoked salmon with poached eggs on toast. A good amount of salmon and eggs cooked faultlessly. I would highly recommend for a brunch/lunch type eatery. Very pleasant and accommodating staff with a lovely venue which was very clean and tidy. I look forward to returning in the future.

Finally Preston is catching up with bigger cities like Manchester. Absolutely loved this place. Great decor, super friendly and accommodating staff, fantastic menu felt truly welcomed. We got a table for three in 5 minutes and queues although queues were contant outside. I had the 'all rise' breakfast and it was super tasty and well cooked. They changed the eggs so my daughter could have poached eggs on toast and everything was delicious. I have to give a special mention to the cherry and almond french toast...its the star of the menu. Brought tears to my eyes it was that good. What I love about Preston is that there are so many little places opening up that are faultless in their delivery and quality of food. Honest review: My first visit to rise was this morning. The only option before 9 is takeaway. The food was visually pleasing. I ordered french toast and herbal tea. When I got home I enjoyed my tea and the food was of a good standard. I wanted to write a positive review however that would not reflect my experience. The staff were rude and made me feel uncomfortable. I would happily give a better review if the young staff members were not so eager to talk about their customers when they left the shop. I’m looking forward to my next visit and will hopefully get to eat inside.

What appears to be small town centre cafe is quite large with both outside and indoor seating and downstairs as well. Prices are not cheap but reflect the quality of the food and care put into its making. Varied selection of hot and cold breakfast / brunches with an extensive beverage list. Well worth the trip into town and if you live in walking distance you would be silly not to treat yourself here every now and again.

Went to rise for breakfast today with my husband, our two year old and 2 month old. The staff were really lovely and attentive. Kept checking we were OK. I wasn't able to eat my breakfast warm as my 2 month old needed feeding so I asked if they could warm my food in the microwave, instead they made me a fresh breakfast! The service is fantastic, all the food I've had there has been great and it's the only place I've ever found to serve a Spanish Latte (my new drink of choice due to Rise). I also wanted to say a special thank you in particular to Will who has always been the absolute sweetest whenever I've been in - he always gives me such a genuine confidence boost! What a star! The staff really do make this cafe more than a lovely place to eat, I always have the best experience here. Halloumi is life ! Ate here this morning, had all the important stuff so you can be sure it's good . Amazing bacon, top class chorizo, good eggs and great sourdough. Coffee was very very good. Staff were really chatty and friendly, bacon really was amazing. I've never had halloumi before, they suggested it as a swap from a menu item as I didn't want - avocado, and it's so good . If meat was cheese then it would be halloumi, I can give no higher praise.
