I booked this venue for a private function as it is local to us, and I must say that from my initial enquiry and the night, it was perfect! Julie, Andrew and their team couldn't do enough to cater for my parties needs, (which I realised, weren't as straight forward as I had thought!). All dietary requests were catered for with the minimum of fuss and stress for me..
The food was absolutely perfect, well presented and so tasty, all delivered to the tables as efficiently and as simultaneously as we could ask for, (given the size of the party of 40).
If you are looking for a place to eat, for any occasion, and want to support local businesses, I can definitely recommend The Old Bank. Thank you for making my 50th perfect!

Had my Christmas Day meal here with my mrs & children, it was amazing & the staff went out of their way to look after you. I will be returning in the near future.
I arranged it via Facebook & spoke to Duncan, who honestly took the stress out of the whole day for me. You are a credit to this place buddy. Keep doing what you do best 👌🏽

Pate was tasty but very meagre amount compared to other establishments.
Calamari was lovely & tender, decent portion, garlic mayo was also good.
Lamb curry, 4 pieces of lamb, wasn't very good, tasted bland. The rice was over cooked & pudding like.
Lemon chicken escalope was cooked well but was a bit oily. Chips were nice, fluffy & crisp.
Atmosphere was a bit flat & the building was chilly.
Staff were friendly & helpful.
Bit of style over substance. Price wise was about average £55.00 with glass of wine & a beer plus a decent tip.
Would we go back ?
Came from Preston & wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.
So it's a no, sorry...

I had Christmas dinner here this year. I wasn't expecting much after a dreadful dinner a few years ago at a well known place in Wrea Green. The Old Bank surpassed my expectations. The food was great, the staff were brilliant and the venue was beautiful. A great Christmas meal.

Had a fantastic breakfast here. Great coffee, everything cooked perfectly and piping hot and arrived at the table promptly. Lovely surroundings too. Highly recommended.

Very good food , with a good selection at good prices. Also nice for just going in for a coffee during the afternoon. Great decor and artwork, with pictures of the old town. Would definitely recommend visiting.

We tried the Sunday lunch
I asked for pate to start, none left so fried Brie which was ok quite tasty could have been hotter
Wife chose prawn cocktail which was pretty much prawns chucked on plate with rose Marie sauce in a separate dish and some iceberg lettuce , a little underwhelming.
Main course only one beef left so she had lamb
I must say that both meats were excellent quality and bountiful, roasted potatoes Ok ish not crispy enough and no parsnips 🙁
There was broccoli and green beans and a Yorkshire pud which were all good, gravy watery thin which I read in a previous review so I am puzzled why this has not been addressed
Wine was good and not overpriced as at so many other venues.
The service was very good and the ambiance good with great chilled music, perfect for a Sunday lunch
All in all a mixed bag , will try an evening menu in the future to see if they have upped their game .
