Yes the menu was limited with lots of items unavailable and the service was slow, but the general manager (Sergi I believe it was - young guy with a bald head ha) was fantastic at handling the situation. He explained that they were working on a very tight staffing level due to covid related issues and were doing their best, which was visible. He was present in the restaurant all evening, serving drinks, taking food orders and cleaning tables himself. This place is lucky to have him!

Emailed an offer back in January for 50% off. We thought we would book for father-in-law's birthday on the 6th Feb. Restaurant has had booking for at least two weeks but decide to call the day of the booking to inform that their kitchen has nit been open for a while and will be a few more weeks before it is sorted. Lost voucher, and no Restaurant to celebrate birthday with family. Had they informed us earlier we could have found a different place to eat. Edit since I have spoken to the restaurant they have been great. We were offered a new voucher and when we used this time the food was good. The wings were crispy and good to eat and I can recommend the banoffee sundae

I Went for a my husbands 60th birthday today the staff were rushed off there feet due to Reading at home but they still gave us a great service. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Sergio and his team for how hard they worked with limited members of Staff tonight.

Mmm. So so. Two bouncers on the door on a Friday night. Doesn't set a warm and friendly scene. Food was OK but on ordering a Banoffee Sundae, got told after a bit that there was no toffee....and then 5 minutes later, no banana. Had waffles and ice cream!🤣 Staff great. Maybe kitchen. Needs some work.

Had a nice meal at the Beefeater, Reading Gateway. The restaurant is very modern and new. It has a Premier Inn attached. The car park gets very buzy.

Rang ahead of schedule to pre order are lunch of fish and chips and burger and fries meet by a really nice man called Gordon he showed us to are table and took the order we had are lunch within 5minutes the fish and chips was great my friend Sally had the burger it was lush she said value for money thank u Adam we met a few of are friends at 1.00p.m at the beefeater as I'm 8 and a half month pregnant and now on leave we was so happy that we pre ordered are food couldn't ask more from the staff Gordon Adam and Christine they was so polite and friendly thank u guys

Staying at the Premier Inn and after a long days work I was pushing it to get food at the time I turned up but still welcomed me. The staff was grate especially kerin. Kerin explained there was some new staff and a few things not left on the menu but still directed me to a grate meal... Many thanks

Well a great turn up for the books came into beefeater for breakfast Thursday morning was met by a familiar face that did work at the Victoria Cross gordon just say this you have a great member of staff there he's polite friendly and always on his game well the breakfast was great and then I see the cook Adam another familiar face from the Victoria cross just say this these to guys won't let you down and they are a great team together make sure u keep them the breakfast was great fresh coffee help yourself to food in all great staff friendly atmosphere definitely will recommend to friends and family

Stayed in Premier Inn Thursday night had a great night sleep but was made better by the great breakfast in the morning hot food bacon just the way I like it nice hot pastries unlimited coffee I asked a gentleman if I can have a takeaway carton for my food I left he was very polite friendly had great banter all the staff was excellent food was excellent great food quality thank you Christine gordon chelsea and chef Adam great breakfast team see u next week

Please be aware that there is a parking restriction at this site. We were caught out. It would have been helpful if a staff member could have asked if we had registered our vehicle. The meal itself was satisfactory although service was a little slow.

We, two of us, went there one Sunday mid December 2020. Interior was warm, both in temperature and welcome, spotlessly clean, and the staff excellent. The food was excellent too, big helping, good price. If you are looking for a typical British meal/atmosphere, we would give this place a high recommendation.

It's a nice place, the food was nice but the service was so slow we actually ended the meal before dessert. We waited about 20 minutes after we finished our food and the plates were still on our table. No signs of staff helping us or even coming over to say I'm on my way. Wasn't even a busy time of the day. Nice place, good food but please get more staff to run it.

We went in for our xmas breakfast, the place is exceptionally clean, and the staff were very pleasant, as far as the hot buffet went it was pretty average and was set up for the odd traveller, ! the hot plates which held the cooked breakfast items were small and had a maximum of 10 items in each dish, 10 sausages and 10 slices of bacon was about enough for 3 of us and the wait for them to be replenished was long

Couple of good meals but sadly last visit wasn't very good. We were sat by the corigated hatch with a wobbly table. Felt a bit of an out cast. I had prawn cocktail to start but they forgot the sauce had to ask as couldn't eat prawns and lettuce. Husband had to ask for his tomato as they forgot to give it with his steak. Drinks took forever to come and when they did they were wrong. We were told to srink half and leave the rest and they will bill for half? Might give it another go but not just yet

My go-to restaurant for a quick and easy meal. They take both Tastecard and Meerkat Meals so for both my wife and I can get out of here with a three course meal + (non alcoholic) drinks for under £50. Also, my Wife and I had our first baby on Christmas Eve; coming home on Christmas Day. After calling countless places, Beefeaters were the only people willing to give us a "Christmas Dinner To go" - we popped in on the way home and they gave us 3, 3-course Christmas dinners to take home, including plates and a box to carry them all in and bring back in. Excellent service and great people.

A good place for Lunch. I went to this restaurant with 2 colleagues around noon. The Food was fresh and in a reasonable quality. The Staff was also very Friendly. So if you seek good food in your lunch break move here ;).

Couldn't fault the service, we had a big table last Saturday afternoon, the food, atmosphere and service were great, the only thing that's Purus off returning is that we have just received a parking fine for £100 and also our friends and others have too, you have to enter your registration on arrival but the machine wasn't working properly, such a shame.
