This restaurant was just wonderful, we had the set menu which was plenty of food for two. The starter was extremely tasty, but the sea bass was possibly the best sea bass I have ever eaten. Our waiter Awais was attentive, helpful and came over several times to check that we were happy. The decor is very cute, good value for money.

Overall good Lebanese fare on island on oracle riverside.
Mezze platter was great.
Menu wasn't elaborate. But the dishes were decently authentic. Would have loved to see fresh flatbread. It became hard by the time we. could eat it. Tagine dish with Couscous wasn't great.

Very nice restaurant in Reading. First time eating out there and Lebanese was a good choice. Location was on point right over the bridge and seeing people on canoes rowing past only added to the atmosphere. Service was great, staff were super polite and allowed us to change tables in order to get shade as it was a hot day. Food was very nice and I would go there again. The mint tea and dessert at the end was a nice touch and very different.

I can highly recommend this restaurant. I love this restaurant and had a very good dinner experience. The food and service was very good. Good veggie options. Lovely atmosphere and very clean. Thanks to all the staff and well done. I'll be back soon.

Everything was delicious, esp. the man’ousha
Always a great experience at Comptoir - it's like being on holiday 🌞
Toufaha drink was full flavoured and refreshing
Busy yet speedy service

Absolutely amazingly fresh food. One of the best Lebanese spots I've ever eaten at. Too bad I don't live in the country, else I'll be hitting this spot on the regular. Also loved the tea. Everything on the menu is good!

So many good restaurants out there but Comptoir still my favourite ever!

The service was lacking on a busy Saturday afternoon. We sat for a very long time with our dirty dishes, and our desserts were actually served still with the dirty mains plates around us. The mark up on some items is very high, e.g. the cost of a can of coke is likely 6 or 7 times the wholesale cost, I get making a profit but it meant we didn't want to drink very much. The food itself was nice, but the standard of service meant I wouldn't return in a rush.

Lovely colourful place with nice Lebenese food and friendly servers!
I really enjoy sitting outside on the terrace they have looking over the Oracle waterside. The inside of this place is really colourful and exotic which is such a welcome change from all the samey drab restaurants around, it is very fun and feels like you've gone at least in part to Lebanon. The servers are always really friendly and relaxed without the anxiety of english servers haha which makes it so much more enjoyable.
They have a lot of different things you wouldn't find anywhere else and sitting outside having one of their special teas in the sun makes you feel like you have been transported to lebanon. The food is nice if a little expensive for the amount but you know what you are paying for.. so many different tastes and smells which is so nice in the middle of Reading which gives the impression you are on holiday.
