Our experience in Coppa Club was without fault. We were welcomed by the hostess and looked after by a lovely waitress who ensured we had a pleasant experience throughout.
The food was well prepared, tasty and portions were sufficient. We enjoyed squid as starter, the steak and a halibut for main and chocolate and miso mousse.
They also offer range of tasty cocktails.

Nice outdoor area for dining, food for dinner was okay.
For breakfast, poached egg over cooked and very sour due to too much vinegar, black pudding a bit dry (almost like microwaved), sausage tastes like bread rather than meat, table and the seat across the restaurant were full of breadcrumbs, glitters and cleaning product residue, not thoroughly cleaned from previous use.

We had a lovely experience here, dinning in one of the igloos. So romantic! The igloo was cosy and warm, the service was great with the staff being super friendly and quick. The food was delicious, the crispy squid was so well done. The mains also good, steak very well made and tasty and the crab linguine great. The apple crumble is always a favourite, so comforting in winter. Be careful not to slip on the way to the igloo at night, it's a tad dark. Overall a lovely evening, we were both very pleased.

Lovely experience! The staff were super friendly, quick and attentive. All the food was delicious. I know good burgers, and never expect much in non-burger-specific (and probably out of London) restaurants but it was cooked pink, juicy and legit delicious. Truffle and parmesan fries are great. Lovely, and not overly pricey either.

Absolutely lovely place with lovely ambiance. Super polite and courteous staff. A good mix of veg and non-veg options. Drinks are a bit on the expensive side, but lovely nevertheless. Child friendly - they gave us a colouring chart with crayons to keep the lil one busy, while the food arrived. Book online to avoid disappointment with iglus. Highly recommended for special occasions.

We visited on a sunny Tuesday and booked an igloo by the river, it was absolutely perfect! The food was wonderful and the staff were friendly and attentive. Beautiful place to eat

Coppa Club Sonning is in a beautiful location. The main building is quite pleasing to the eye. Through the doors from the carpark you are greeted with a well set out, well decorated spacious interior, with an inviting feel. The staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming. We sat in the terrace space. Very pretty. But the 3 legged table wasn't great on the slight slope of the under foot patio. Service was fast and efficient. But the food was quite underwhelming. Between two pasta dishes and a steak, for the price, could have been a much better standard! It was far from inedible, but considered not worth the price on this occasion. I will definitely try this place again, as I am aware bad days happen. The overall experience was worthwhile. The food needs addressing.

It's simply am unbeatable place to visit.
In the sun it is just hard to find anywhere better than this place.
Beers food dining areas awesome.
Book in advance to eat here always

Coppa in Sonning is such a nice and relaxing place to have a drink after a walk by the river or just gather the family and friends for a meal. The service is absolutely spot on and the food is consistently good. Prices are ok for the atmosphere and service they offer, not as expensive as you might think. It's not too crowded and you always find a table. But maybe it's wise to book if you plan on having a big table for Sunday lunch.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in our little igloo for our allotted 2 hours, and we were all happy with our meals, and to top it all off the view was beautiful and dining by the river so so so nice. Thank you Coppa Club!!

Best breakfast experience. The food the Atmosphere and the staff, all were brilliant. Thank you for making me and my family that came overseas to enjoy the beautiful view and great experience.

We went there for our NYE meal. Looks lovely inside. Staff were lovely and food was nice. The sticky toffee pudding was yummy. The drinks let us down though; peach iced tea was very watery, as well as the cocktail I ordered. Other than that, we had a nice time.

Fantastic food. Attentive service and care. The team were all wonderful with our dog. A lovely walk along the river after as well.

Stopped in for a bite en route home from a family gathering that hadn't catered for veggie, gluten-free and diabetic members of our group. Lovely ambience and a nice place to hang out and eat and drink. Great menu with genuinely tasty veggie and gluten-free options. Service was good although slightly casual in keeping with the feel of the place. A little on the pricey side but hey, this is Henley.

Four of us with a dog - sat "outside" in the covered, heated terrace. Don't worry about being cold. Tons of lovely warm heaters and also blankets if you want.
Our server was lovely and she was really knowledgeable about the dishes. Our food was nice but not extraordinary: courgette tempura, sourdough pizza, a chicken dish, stick toffee pudding and apple/pear crumble. I'd go back sooner, if the menu was more exciting - but to repeat, the food is nice.

Excellent restaurant in fab location. Parking a bit limited. Food was great and reasonably priced given the setting and neighbourhood. Good service and clean toilets with high quality products too.

Relaxing Setting by the River - It was a beautiful day. We didn't book and were lucky to get a table outside as it was filling up. Service was very good. Food was excellent. Loved my pizza and my partner enjoyed her veggie burger. The staff were very accommodating and were able to find us a table inside when it started to get too hot. We sat inside for a dessert.

This is one of the local beauty spots for families and friends to either fine dine or grab a nice bite to eat. In and outside seating. Booking available or you can just rock up and hope there are some sofas to grab.
There are so many staff members at hand so even when it's busy the orders are flying out. Great friendly service. 👌
The surrounding area is beautiful too so you can take a nice stroll river side or sit out in the garden watching the boats pass by.
Thanks for giving us locals a great place to hang out!!! 💓

Coppa Club in Sonning is with no doubt one of the best brunch places in Berkshire. It’s part of The Great House at Sonning, which is located just right next to the Sonning Bridge in Sonning, (aka George Clooneys village), however they also have other sites..
I tried the Garden Breakfast, which included two fried eggs, grilled halloumi, portobello mushrooms, tomato, greens, and toast. Everything was delicious, however the toast was stale and the kale was really good, but a bit too much for the breakfast plate.
I also tried the Buckwheat and Rye Pancakes which came with berries, granola, seeds and coconut yoghurt. A healthier version but absolutely delicious. The highlight of the meal!
The portion sizes were generous and just the right amount. The service was great! A special thank you to Jasmine who took care of us.
I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape the busy town centre.

We booked one of their capsules for a family event, although it was cold outside it was so cosy inside. Just wished they warmed the space before as it was cold initially and then it got to a perfect temperature. We ordered a skillet breakfast which was cold

Wonderful place l, we were there 8 people without booking the place was full and they managed to get us a table. Very friendly staff and excellent service. My carbonara were delicious. Thank you guys.
E. B.
The food was really good and our waitress/server was so attentive! Turned out she attends the same school with, and is an acquaintance of, my niece. It was a girl's night out, my last night before returning to the U.S. and we had a lot of fun. The ambience was really cool too. I really enjoyed it.

Nice cozy place with a good view of the river. Igloo is defo a highlight. But food wise, it is only ok to me.
S. G.
Family group visited the restaurant for birthday celebration lunch. This took place out in the extensive garden which faced the river. Well laid out with large glass pods which seats 8-10. Table service, good selection of menus, well presented. I was birthday guest and have no idea of costs.
A. S.
Very lovely, efficient staff. Very friendly. Gave us a table on busy mothers day without a booking and very accommodating not like our experience at The Bull that we tried first. Service was very quick and food was excellent. We'd been on a long bike ride and stopped on the if chance that they would let us in with our bikes.

A pleasant place to visit with friends and family that has good quality food and a nice atmosphere.

Really nice meal. Had 3 steaks all cooked to perfection! Starters were great and so were the desserts. We were looked after by the manager
Had a slight issue with my starter "wasn't to the restaurant standard" this was quickly sorted by the manager and taken off the bill. Which I'm very appreciative of.
All the staff were lovely. Will definitely be going again soon!
D. B.
Really nice setting. Food was good but the deserts were very small and extremely over priced. Eating out as a family of 6 gets very expensive at the best of times but paying the bill via thier app added an automatic 12.5% discretionary service charge for the size of the group... Which you couldn't remove. I wont be returning as a result of that as that feels very unfair to hit a large family with extra on top of an already expensive bill.
L. W.
Great location and welcoming staff. Vegi breakfast was a ok but missing my other half of my mushroom and tomato. Eggs were rather crispy. Felt a bit ripped off to be honest. Why should the vegi option not have the same calories as the meat version? I should have had another course as wasn't rather filling.
D. J.
First time at Coppa Club and really enjoyed it. Food was very good, served quickly and there was a good selection of wine and cocktails. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Would certainly go again.
K. T.
An idyllic and exceptionally comfortable dining experience; eat under the twinkling lights of the bespoke clear gazebo, or book a private bubble dome, and take a wander down the lawn to the river. Great food and service.
P. W.
I just wanted to thank the Manager Alex for taking the time to to sort out a couple of issues my friend and I had during our visit to the Coppa Club last night. He is extremely professional and polite and understands the Hospitality Business. Many thanks Alex, people like you make a positive difference.

Great place, great service and the food was good too, sat outside so only had options from the takeaway menu. Can't go wrong with the corn fed chicken
D. C.
Nice setting, we just stopped here for a coffee and some cake. The orange polenta cake was good. Good friendly service

A great stop off along the River Thames pathway in Sonning, with a large garden overlooking the river. The first outdoor area is covered too & with igloos (seasonal/booking required). Great for a coffee, brunch (not all day brunch sadly with the lunch menu kicking in at lunchtime) or a drink. Dog friendly. A popular spot, so can get busy at times on a weekend. Expect gastro pub meets restaurant with a chic atmosphere. Service times could be improved at busy times, but generally good. A small car park outside gets full quickly - walk if you can.
R. G.
Enjoyed the food, nice selection...I had the pizza which was very nice, big enough to have shared.
Service was intermittent, not all starters arrived at the same time... late with the second bottle of wine, so some of us didn't get wine during our main course. Shame as this lost them a couple of stars.
M. C.
Wasn't blown away by this place. Visited this place for dinner and breakfast the following morning. For the price we paid, our meals were pretty average. The atmosphere was good though and the staff all lovely. Breakfast was also ok, again nothing special but did the job. Probably wouldn't visit any other restaurants in the chain tbh.
J. M.
We had a really lovely time in the outdoor pods. Nice and warm, atmospheric music and staff were really attentive. Portions were small but pizzas were great.
I. W.
Beautiful surroundings by the river, nice ambiance, helpful friendly staff, good selection of food and beverages
Would recommend
J. D.
A bit of a victim of its success. Always packed and seemingly understaffed. Food is OK if you can order and cocktails/drinks are overall good. The Streatley one is generally better if you want a riverside venue.
M. G.
Great vibes, awesome atmosphere and lovely selection of cocktails, drinks and nibbles. The food was really tasty and very reasonable on price.
The open fires and comfy sofas were a welcome addition and the views from the outside orangery were lovely, looking straight out to the river.
Breakfast was also nice, with various dishes to choose from along with juices, smoothies and different teas. The food was fresh and yummy
Would come back again
M. H.
Excellent service and great food with friendly and helpful staffs. The ambience is good and decor very contemporary and clean.
One lunch time on One Friday The hand dryer in the male toilets was out of order and there as a mess made by spent hand towels. The bin location is definitely not user friendly.
Oh one thing, it’s a dog friendly bar lounge!
Whit coffee did not taste good at all.
I. J.
Lovely food, but a real shame to be told you can’t sit outside when gloriously sunny as not serving on the terrace. 3 times in the last 3 weeks the service staff have ‘computer says no attitude’. The location of this place is amazing….if you’re allowed outside.
L.
Nice pub albeit with a whiff of pretentiousness. Food is okay but we are talking London prices for middling quality. Lots of seating by the open fires which is nice.
M. B.
Food, as always, was consistent and above the offrings of other establishments. However the reservation system is a huge let down - simply put, it's not worth reserving a table in advance. Given the price of the food and drink, the lack of a reservation system that is fit for purpose makes it difficult to recomment The Coppa Club.
D. B.
Lovely experience here, good food & drinks
J. P.
Brilliant place to eat drink and be merry. Right on the Thames. Lovely quiet spot with a great river side walk. Room was fantastic, very hospitable staff, great little touches to the room, and the shower...... wow. Would live there if I could 😁
H. B.
Had a Igloo which was great. The Igloos had views of the river, heating and music. The staff were attentive and the food was lovely. Have booked again for August.
D. M.
Great location backing on to Riverside
food wasn't bad a little on the expensive side but as to be expected for restaurants in this area and location.
Dinning pods available in garden make sure you book as availability on pods is limited and very popular with guests.
S. W.
After half a century searching for the perfect burger it was discovered today at the Coppa club matched by outstanding service and staff
R. K. M.
Quaint dog friendly eatery with outstanding scenery. Food was good and portioned well. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect for a summer afternoon. Surrounding countryside scenic and worth a post meal walk. If you have a dog you can get food, blankets and toys for them too. Really great place.
S. R.
Excellent restaurant on the bank of the Thames. Very good food and good service. Dog friendly on the terrace and in the lounge, not in the main restaurant.
S. e.
Beautiful place, loved the seating area.
Nice food and friendly staff
j. g.
Excellent location. Right on the river. Had a glass pod.in the garden. Food was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Coppa Club is a great place to have a drink or eat with friends and it is spacious enough so you can relax and enjoy e decent conversation with people. You can choose to sit in those parts that give you also privacy,so there is space between tables.
It is animal friendly, which means dogs are allowed inside their restaurant which was another relief, and they do sell treats for the dogs near the entrance.
The service was very good and quick.Someone served us the drinks, another one the food and another one the menu, which was great. They were all friendly to the dog as well!
The food quality was excellent. I enjoyed my meal and our pastor friends who invited us did as well. It is always a treat to share food and hearts at the same time...just great time...
There is place outside as well and with the weather today it was almost full...
Yes I recommend this place and would love to go again, so enjoy it...We surely did!

Love this place. Lovely food. Lovely staff and great decor. Nightmare for parking especially on a busy day.
J. F.
Prime position hence quite expensive. Pleasant gardens and 'pods' to sit in. Restaurant trendy and attractive. Good selection of food and drinks. Friendly and welcoming.
H. R.
The best Coppa Club in my opinion. Always well staffed, organised and friendly.
I love the venue, the food and vibe.
Great place, highly recommend it to anyone!

Great food and service! Thank you Coppa Club

It’s not often that the aesthetic of a venue will make more of an impression than the actual food, but this was the case with our trip to the Copa club in Sonning. The wait list for a seat in the outdoor igloo’s was quite long so we were expecting something a little special. Despite the cold January afternoon, the warm and cosy igloo’s were a lovely way to enjoy a lunch in the fading light. The service was also polite and surprisingly efficient, seeing that the hot food had to be ferried quite a distance from inside the pub to the cold garden outside. The food however didn’t quite match the expectations that had been set by the ambiance. After a starter of deep fried squid, which was fresh but not as crispy and tasty as the batter could have been, we moved onto our mains. The fish and chips, usually a safe bet, was a solid, ok. The fish inside was fresh and batter was crispy. But there was just a lot of batter, perhaps too much, so it felt like you were almost eating as much batter as actual fish. The chips were actually fries rather than the big slices of potato usually I prefer with a fish and chips, so I wasn’t a big fan of that, although it might be some people’s cup of tea. The quiche and salad was again smack bang in the ok territory, light and tasty without being delicious. The fish on a bed of beans was a little overdone and perhaps slightly drier than expected but overall it was bad. The pulled lamb burger was a disappointment though as it was just too dry and the lamb instead of being succulent and packed with flavour was chewy and just hard work to get through. The coleslaw on top didn’t really add any extra flavour or taste to the meat and it just seems like an odd topping. The meat itself wasn’t flavoured in any spices that I could recognise and after a while it just felt bland and un-lamb-like. At least the chips were proper thick chips, but with a dry burger, they were not the best accompaniment. All in all, despite the forgettable food, the service was good and the venue great. So if you’re just looking to soak in the chilled vibes and grab a few drink, you’d probably leave on a better note, than if you settled for the full gastro experience.

A lovely garden space and terraces with a great brunch menu allowed us to enjoy a first class brunch with good coffee good size portions and attentive service from friendly staff who sorted out our requests to customise our menu choices with a refreshing can-do attitude
It’s not cheap but the quality of the food and drinks was first class
On a sunny morning I would thoroughly recommend this place
L. B.
Lovely place, stopped for a drink on a walk along the Thames path. Sat on the lawn with my dog, with lovely views.
D. G.
We went here for my birthday meal. I have to say I thought the whole place is a really great set up. Lovely bar for drinks and coffee and the food is well priced. I had the club burger and it was really flavoursome and came out piping hot. Really nice place to sit and eat/drink in the garden, especially during the summer months.
T. N.
Went earlier for brunch, I live in Sonning myself so it's nice to have this as a local. Food was lovely as you can see. Service was good. The vibe and decor was spot on for what is ideal for a relaxed brunch... cost £60 for 2 of us... In my opinion worth the money.
R. D.
Love both Henley and Sonning branches. The decor, ambiance, attention to details. The service is always amazing and just the right kind of attentive, which is a difficult balancing act. However, I feel like it's about time the food quality rises up to the occasion. Don't get me wrong, it's never bad, just consistently okay but never quite 'Coppa' .
J. S.
Beautiful place! We went to enquire about hosting a small gathering… ended up sitting there to have a few drinks. The atmosphere is lovely. It was packed on a Sunday afternoon. Good halls for hosting ceremonies..
R. G.
Next to Sonning Bridge, this large water side pub with lots of inside and outside seating. Grat personal service and choice of two real ales.
g. b.
Everything was good! They have delicious menu, and coffee is great. I also like the design of the plates:) if it is a sunny day, you definitely should be in garden. And kind stuff 👌
R. B.
First time at the coppa club with friends and we had a lovely time. The food and service was great. We went for lunch and there could have been a few more lighter options but what we had was nice.
It had a lovely buzzy atmosphere and would have loved to have tried the little dome igloos in the garden but they were fully booked.
We chatted too long to go for a walk but the club is situated on the river and it looked beautiful.
Only slight issue was the parking as it was very busy and almost no spots to park in. We were lucky to get the 3 spaces but not really anywhere else to park. Quite a big car park but very full. Sonning is a very small town and traffic was awful (not coppa clubs fault) we didn’t know the area so not sure on alternative places to park if needed.

I was a bit disappointed with my visit to Coppa Club. I understand many people are very relaxed with covid these days. However, I am in a position where I need to take extra precautions for covid.
I phoned ahead of my visit to check I would feel comfortable with where I would be seated. I was informed my booking was for the terrace which would be a covered outdoor space. However, when arriving I was taken to the main indoor busy area of the restaurant. I explained my situation and asked if there was somewhere less busy I could be seated. The waitress kindly showed us to a quieter area. However, after 10mins the waitress then bought in a large group to sit right next to us, so I had to ask to be reseated again.
Considering I phoned ahead and re-explained my situation upon arrival I found that the staff had a lack of understanding/ consideration for vulnerable customers.
M. V.
We dined in one of the garden igloos, it was nice and atmospheric (you can change the volume on the music) albeit a little chilly when the door was opened during ordering and food being brought. The staff were very friendly and polite. Food was delicious.
A. C.
Arrived for a late lunch at 1:30 and were shown immediately to our table. Quick service and prompt, good food. Fantastic seafood and fresh pasta, lovely selection of mocktails, friendly staff and no push to turnaround. Had a lovely relaxed afternoon.
v. k.
12 and a half % Service is pretty steep especially as our server was not that good. She plonked our wine and water on the table and walked away. We had to ask to be served. We had to ask for the plates to be cleared. Not great and we left a tip but not the going rate. We did have a good meal though as food was good. Will come back and give it another go. Maybe we were just unlucky.
H. S. M.
Great place to go for food or drinks. Amazing atmosphere, especially outside in the summer.
A. N.
Lovely restaurant with beautiful surrounding. Perfect place to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon by the river. Food can be improved but the service and surroundings more than make up for it. The pods are lovely as well.
7.
Great place , you can sit inside and outside , they have igloos as well. Its Table service which they will charge you for service.
Food very good , drinks very good 👍
I will be coming back.

Went for a family birthday celebration and sat in one of the garden pods which are great. Service was good and the food fantastic too. Expensive, but worth it for a special occasion.
S. R.
Always great food, and the igloos are great fun...
R. H.
Great location, decent food and cracking atmosphere on a barmy English summers evening. Downsides are: Service (if it is busy good luck, it will take forever to get your food and getting a drink at the bar is a pain- there is only one till, weird!) and Price ( it's not cheap)..
The skillet breakfast is okay but stingey portion size given it is £10 (see photo) I always order an extra round of toast. The Waitress will not always ask how u want you eggs so don't forget if you want poachies as the default is fried!
A. S.
Good food and choice....service a little erratic, asked for a glass a few times and we got the wrong food. We sat on the terrace, heaters were on but I was cold - blankets are available. Super views. Liked the atmosphere, would definitely recommend
S. S.
Very nice bar, restaurant reasonably priced, but service was a bit slow and it wasnt very busy. Food was good and well presented.
a. j.
Absolutely lovely place with great staff, lots of nice outdoor seating and also parking available. Menu is great value offering a variety of options and views are great
