Tasty food, good beer, great hospitality, warm staff. Happy hours all day all night, you have 2 for 1 cocktails. Price for one is roughly £10-£12. Usually busy when you plan to come Friday or Saturday I would recommend do a reservation.

Visited here today for family lunch. Kids menu (although oddly online only) was superb value (a rarity!) and good portion size. Mock tails were 2 for 1, so they went down well and the fajita stacks were impressive. Well cooked food, thoughtfully presented. Only element that wasn’t perfect was the service which was reasonably slow, but this might be a covid issue for all I know so I still tipped. Recommended

Very enjoyable, staff were helpful and always on top of everything, very delicious food and a nice variety, able to accommodate different restrictions. However, the kitchen made changes to dishes without informing us and also served dishes with main parts missing from them. This wasn't too much of an issue for us and the staff did quickly sort out the missing parts, but for others this could cause quite a problem, and makes those with restrictions (i.e. allergies) concerned about their own dishes (no communication when making changes). However, they were quite busy, and the waiters were very helpful with all of this.

Good place for drinks specially mocktails as you get 1 free pitcher when you buy 1. The food is good specially the starters and main course I must say try the goat curry though the quantity is poor basically for 1 person only. Good place to hang out with friends

Very enjoyable lunchtime with a few members of our family. Members of the staff and service was excellent. The quality of the food was very good and therefore we would have no hesitation in returning in the very near future or recommending the restaurant .

Been here for a late night treat. We had different small plates including calamari, lemon and herb chicken wings, nachos, sweet potato fries and a burrito bowl. Food was good but nothing special. Calamari was also a bit salty (had this in another branch where it was better). Good for something quick. Service was quick and staff was friendly.

Having waited several months to return to one our favourite restaurants, tonight brought back so much nostalgia but with a heavy dose of rustiness, too. We arrived 5 minutes early for our 6:30 table but we were greeted and seated in good time. Being avid ‘iguanas’ we knew what drinks we wanted and promptly ordered via the new QR code and website on offer, hoping to avoid unnecessary contact with the staff and equally speed up the process. However, after 15 minutes of watching our drinks fizz away at the edge of the bar, regrettably we caught the attention of our waitress and asked whether she might bring them over seeing as we were not allowed during current restrictions. All of the subsequent drinks were delivered promptly and without issue. The food ordering experience, however, is where I must deduct a star. Having been seated, we order our starter and mains 18:35 - nachos and 2x chicken fajitas. After about 30 minutes we were asked whether we had ordered our food and confirmed that we had. After another 15 minutes we were told that our ticket had been lost and were asked to provide evidence of our order whilst I promptly did via the email confirmation. Still no food. We quizzed our waitress again who informed us that the manager was looking in to it and would come to speak with us imminently. Again, after some time this didn’t materialise and we spoke to the waitress again. At this point we were willing to accept a refund for the food we had paid for but hadn’t enjoyed but expressed that we would far rather have the food as long as the issue was sorted out. Eventually, the manager, Emma, did come over and was totally brilliant. She immediately cleared up the confusion and alleviated the frustration by offering a refund and free drinks, which we were more than happy to accept. Emma then took over service of our table for the remainder of the cover to check that everything was OK and even topped things off with a complementary dessert. Again, top marks for brilliant customer management! Apparently there have been some issues with orders through the app, so bare that in mind. But we shall be returning… if they’ll have us!

Nice Mexican Bottomless brunch! We was worried we wouldn't get our drinks topped up regularly after we turned up. It tends to get really busy on the weekend. But the service was good. They came to our table regularly. Can't fault them. Enchiladas and the Nacho's were great. Just be warned they do only allow you a limited time on your table.

Went for a meal here with friends. O don't give 5 stars often and this restaurant did very well. Very good restaurant to have a good dinner! It's a place to go with friends. Some noises but not so much. Prices are in the average. Food is great and it is very rich (Mexican, Brasilian...), and there is also a very good list of beer and cocktails, above all. Service can be improved but it is good as well. I really suggest you to go there.

Overall a great experience. Have been back twice now. The music gets way too loud but the drinks are amazing and the food even better! Although the vegan burrito had the guacamole on the side which I thought was an odd choice. But a lot of vegan options! The bean burger is amazing although a little too big to eat comfortably. Absolutely decent for what it is. Nicely located, tables are easy to get even without a reservation, at least for smaller groups. The flavours of their dishes are intense in a good way, and despite their prices you’ll get good value thanks to large serving sizes. Make use of their happy hour! Two cocktails for the price of one, and they don’t cheap out on liquor or volume. Definitely worth it.

I've never been to Las Iguanas before however I've had several friends recommend it as a 'must have'. Sun was out in full force and we were all desperate for both a cooling beverage and some light food. What a great idea to pop into this place, the drinks were amazing and the 2-4-1 deal made it a bargain. I initially thought the tapas was on the pricey side however the quantity you get makes it well worth it. The only real 'issue' I had, which isn't really an issue just more being lazy in the sun, was the need to order inside when eating via the river and also having to struggle walking your own drinks across. Apart from that, fab place!

Went in to collect a take away after ages. They forgot one of the food items (to be fair we had a fairy large order). We called back and they were aware. And had proactively tried to contact us. Standard Masterclass. A group of us (7 people) went to Las Iguanas in Reading for the Standard Cocktail Masterclass and two course meal. We didn't really know what to expect, and how long we would take making the cocktails (as they are relatively easy), but it ended up taking about 45 minutes. You get given a caipirinha on arrival, and then can make two types of cocktail (from a small but good list) per group. Depending on the difficulty of cocktail you do different 'games'. If an easier cocktail, you do a rally, where you are split in teams and each member has to finish making their cocktail before your next member can start there. First team to finish wins. The next game, is where you take in turns making a cocktail (where you need a shaker) and the winners are those that are both the fastest and make the least mess. Your prize is a shot of honey or spice. Between each cocktail, you get 10 minutes to drink and talk, just like you're at a bar. Then you have food, which is pre ordered when you order the Cocktail Masterclass. The menu for the meal is smaller than the original, but there are classics items like Nachos and Fajitas to choose from. For £35 pp, it was definitely worth it! Great drinks, tasty food and a tremendous host, you can't really go wrong. Would do again.

The bar and waiting staff were struggling to keep up with demand on a busy Saturday evening. Having taken an hour to deliver our first drinks order, let alone food, it was somewhat of a surprise to be informed by the manager, as we were being offered dessert menus, that she needed the table back in 10 minutes. That said, the food and drink was of decent quality with a wide choice, and the service was friendly. It's a shame that we were hurried through the last part of our meal.

The waitress was AMAZING I have a very boring diet I don't any salad or veg so went with the chicken but they had run out of stock, so looked like i had to settle for something I didn't fancy but Aniline was out if this world and went and got me bbq ribs which isn't even on the menu! And my god it taste amazing! The wife went for fajitas and they was amazing! World class service! World class food! My first visit to a Mexican and I can say hand on heart I will be coming back! Aniline good luck to you and your partner with your new family and to the management you have a real superstar here! We eat out 4/5 times a week as we're really lazy haha I have never been treated so well before! Touched and amazed.

First drink I had was the passion fruit cooler - however only really tasted of lemon juice, very sour, so the rest of the evening I just had cokes instead. I had the chicken fajitas, which were nice, but a bit bland really. Didn't come with any salad, dressings or spices (I ordered it without onions and peppers), I thought they could have offered an alternative maybe. I could have cooked a better meal myself really! The dessert was nice, I had a caramel sundae type of thing, however again the taste was quite off, it tasted very bitter instead of sweet.

Had a really good meal here. A word from the wise, it's a good idea to book, even midweek as it gets busy in here. Expect to wait half an hour or so if you arrive peak time unannounced. They have happy hour all day Sunday to Wednesday and Thursday to Saturday 16:00-1900 and 22:00 onwards. At happy hour cocktails are buy one get one free. Decor inside was nice, varied seating options are scattered through the interior and the place has a modern vibe. Cocktail menu has lots of options from different places around the globe, some Brazilian inspired, some Cuban, some other places I don't remember. I'm not a huge fan of a cocktail but I appreciated the variety on offer and that it wasn't all the same old same old you would find everywhere, with a few exceptions. The food menu was pretty good too, has a few vegetarian options in addition to the meat offerings so there is some choice for everyone. Food was decent, price was fair and the service was really good. Our waiter was attentive without being obtrusive and when we stepped out for a couple of minutes he noticed and made a point of acknowledging us and letting us know he would hold our food for us until we were back. One of the better restaurants along the Riverside, in fact probably my favourite. I'll definitely be back.

Really enjoyable. I mean, two for one cocktails all day every day what's not to like! Hee Hee! No but seriously, I don't always like to drink and the mock tails are delicious too. Good value for money and tasty food with lots of options especially if you have gluten free, vegetarian or vegan friends. These options are not only obvious on the menu but you can also get the gluten free menu. ☺️ Nice atmosphere, warm and welcoming you can feel relaxed. Not only that download the app and if you are in a rush to leave, you can pay via the app too.

Last time we were here it took quite a while to be served, we were shown our seats and left for about 15 minutes. The food when we eventually ordered arrived fast and was good but not everything on the menu is and the food is very westernized, not that authentic and selection a little limited. However the restaurants offer halal, chicken, goat and beef which is very good.

Have the tapas! They do make really good cocktails and the atmosphere is great. Be prepared to wait quite a bit if ordering cocktails at your table though. They need more staff I think as we waited nearly 40min for our second round of drinks.

We arrived with a booking on line for Friday 19th, for 19:15. When we arrived there was a queue as it was very busy. The table was on time and order was taken within 10 minutes. So if you turn up without a booking you can still be accommodated. Service was very good, and our meal was served within 20 minutes. They do a wide variety of menus from Latin America. We chose a meal from Brazil, as we have been to Brazil and the Amazon. Unfortunately it did live up to our expectations. It was bland and not authentic. We will try again as sometimes the spices are reduced for the English palet.So next time we will try something else as value for money is very good and staff are all great. Would recommend.

Today, I went here with my sister for a birthday dinner - and oh my god it was the best birthday dinner ever! And everyone kept on avoiding us when our food did not come. We could see our food at the pass but not being served to us. Needs major upgrades in service

I have only ever been for the cocktails, but all of the cocktails I have tried have been quite unique, very delicious and quite a good value if you go during Happy Hour, where they are as cheap as 2 for £8.95. The bartenders do not measure their pours, showing off their true skill and Las Iguanas is quite lucky to have them.

Booked in for the Cocktail Masterclass for a work Christmas party. Kept waiting at the door for at least 10 minutes, waiting staff and bar staff not wanting to make eye contact. Including as it turns out the duty manager, who did everything possible not to acknowledge us. Cocktail Masterclass was brilliant, great fun had by all. Food was ordered prior to cocktais and turned up not long after we'd finished. Food was very good too. When we asked if we could order pudding and have some empties cleared from the table we were told by one of the delightful waitresses "It's not my section!". That's a "not my job!" in any other language.... Evening almost spoilt by the ridiculous bill at the end, almost double what we we're told and advertised. Good Food, Great Masterclass, let down by some of the waiting staff and whoever totts the bills up.

It's quite packed seating arrangement but that's normal for all restaurants here in Mall. Options for indoor and outdoor eating add nice touch for summer eating preference. Speed of service is my only gripe. Took more than 30 mins for food to arrive after order and that's when it was not busy. So be prepared to wait if you fancy eating here.

Went for lunch on a weekday, restaurant was empty. Staff were helpful, sadly they didn't have a number of the things we wanted. The food and drinks we could order, tasted good, and were served at an appropriate pace. Atmosphere was nice, found in the Oracle Shopping Centre, so easiest parking is the Oracle car park.

Nice staff but food was so, so. Restaurant was busy and had a nice atmosphere. We were seated immediately (table for 3) and our order was taken within about 10-15mins, a bit too long for my liking. We also ordered a mocktail (non-alcoholic cocktail) which was really just some fizzy lemonade, tropical juice, ice and a slice of orange. Starters and food arrived together, actually the food came before the starters which wasn't ideal. There was also some confusion as to what meats were halal on the menu. I phoned before hand and was told everything but the beef. Then on arrival was told only the chicken and duck was halal, until it was finally confirmed that what i was told on the phone was actually correct. We ordered chicken breast burgers and half a chicken as our mains and duck wraps for starters. Both were ok at best. As our company was picking up the bill it was ok, but if i was paying myself i would think twice before going again. So to summarise, nice ambience, pleasant staff (if a bit rushed during busy times) and ok food.

Overall a decent place, but a few minor things, majorly let it down. Brilliant array of cocktails and an extensive menu with lots of veggie and vegan stuff, all very adaptable and easy to order. It's in an aesthetically pleasing area and prices are reasonable. It was easy to book and the service is fast. These 3 things let it down enough though that I'm only leaving 3 stars: First off, how the hell they think handing you a tablet to leave feedback at the end is a good idea is beyond me. Ironically it's probably making the feedback worse (as in my case) as it's super annoying and pushy, especially as it asks you which staff member you want to praise, and it doesn't even have proper photos of them nor were we told their name just making it a massive faff when you just want to pay and leave. This kind of thing encourages staff to compete with each other in a bad way, and ultimately just inconveniences the customer. Secondly, rule number one when asking someone for ID is DO NOT comment on their appearance. Literally everyone is told this during compliance training, however the server still did this. While I'm aware I look young and it's no biggy being asked for ID, him saying 'you look young' as if I'm unaware of said fact was unnecessary and just rude. Finally, it has the same problem as every other restaurant in this area as there are tiny bugs flying around because of the river, and you can't use normal discounts because it's in the Oracle and the Oracle don't allow it, although I suppose this isn't las iguanas's fault. Overall no major qualms just these two minor issues surrounding their staff behaviour that let it down.

Best place to go for food and drinks. We always go as a group and always have a very good experience. We had a very bad experience last time we went with a gentleman called Lino. Very rude, sarcastic and unfriendly. After getting one of our friends order wrong, he made a big fuss of it and pretended it was her fault. It was very unprofessional and if we weren't regulars we probably wouldn't go there again.I have given 4 stars based on our over all experience and I hope he wont serve us again.

Prices of cocktails are cheap and good quality. The starters or appettizers are very nice, the mango empanadas are really delicious. But I was really upset with the Mexican main courses. I tried the chicken enchilada and for so far is a Mexican enchilada, is like a chicken burrito with bad cheese, bad red sauce, beans and rice, the tortilla was awful. The steak fajitas were nice, but the same, tortillas were industrial as the same of the sides. But the preparation of the meat was great. Churros for desert are ok. But it's not Mexican food.

Went here last Sunday (Reading) very slow service we had to come back in 20 mins to even get a table however it was fairly busy and a weekend so I will let that one pass. The staff where all very friendly The food was ok nothing spectacular we ordered: calamari, spicy wings, cheese nachos, burritos and enchiladas The main criticism I have is the "cheese nachos" were lacking in cheese. I was expecting a cheese sauce on the side or on top but there was probably the smallest amount of grated cheese possible sprinkled on top probably less then 1 gram of cheese Overall I would not come here again. I would rather use an old El paso kit to make a taco but I am glad I got the experience

I have been going to Las Iguanas in Reading since it opened and over the years it has become a disappointment. They have changed the menu taking away good dishes and the portion sizes are questionable now. On 2 occassions when a member of my family and myself (on a separate occassion) had queried the taste/presentation of items (chocolate aztec & pimms) the management had responded very defensive. Considering these were items that we have had many times before and informed the management of this, there responses were negative and demonstrated poor customer service skills.
