S. U. F.Very good clean atmosphere with delicious food. The whole chicken was so yummy and full of taste. Tikka and fries was good and chicken burgers as well but chicken was little bit dry in both. Their sauces are best in taste.

A. P.Reading's hidden gem! The quality and taste of the food is incredible (way better than nandos and cheaper too). The staff are so friendly and amazing at what they do. Ever since I discovered this place, whenever I'm in Reading I'll go once, sometimes twice a day. Can't overemphasize how brilliant the food and service at Manzanos are, they need to open more restaurants asap!!
W. B.I chose the peri peri chicken & rice based on enjoying it at Pepe's Piri Piri. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the taste, quality or portion size. It wasn't terrible but non authentic rice, lack of flavour and had to use the additional sauces to be able to eat it.
On a plus side, it's a nice clean aesthetically pleasing restaurant, that didn't take very long to serve our dishes in the town centre.
C.Excellent venue. Really nice staff. The thick smokey smell of chicken is overwhelming tempting. I enjoyed the meal a lot. The taste was fantastic. The portions are very generous. Would definitely visit here again. Nice comfy seating and toilets are available.
D. B.It’s alright if you want a quick fix, when they had their 50% off for lunch offer it was a no brainer but the quality of the chicken is not Nando’s level BUT the price isn’t either…..so you get what you pay for.
Cheaper than roosters on west street.
My recommendation would be to go opposite to palmyra and grab a £5 chicken shish wrap - you won’t be disappointed, unless you wanted peri peri flavour 🤣

Good gluten free range, and when I ordered the cheese and chicken balls, they made sure I knew these had gluten in, so that was very attentive of the staff 😊 Good to see!

A.I actually visited this place by chance, when it was Fernando's. I don't live in the area. I made a point of keeping the receipt, so that I wouldn't forget the name, because I have to say, the chicken, was one of the best of its type, that I have ever tasted. I never forgot it. Absolutely delicious. Was shocked to read about the name change issues. There is no way you could confuse the names, and as far as taste is concerned, I much prefer the flavour and taste of what was on offer here. Its not even close as far as I'm concerned.
Thought I'd look the place up, as I was thinking of paying them another visit.

It is a family friendly place and they have a place to wash your hands. Sauces are slightly on the watery side. Nevertheless, tasty food and reasonably good value for money.

w.I ordered the Don Fernando beef burger meal. I was actually surprise at how good it was. The bun was nice and didn't fall apart. The meat was full of flavour and well cooked and the sauce used was really nice. Fries were also the classic skin on one's which I love.

Would 1000000000000000000% recommend. Kids meals also very generous. The best thing in the shop is the peri strips and mozzarella sticks. They are fab. Better than Nando's. Wide range of sauces and cutlery unlike others. Toilets are included as well as a party room. The best peri peri ever. This should get the world record for the best of it's kind.

Plus points for me:
Price - the biggest platter is about £30 and it will fill a large family easily - and I'm of an Asian persuasion so that is really a large family!
Location - well placed with lots of roadside parking right outside.
Venue - bright, colourful, stylish and most importantly clean. Love the Chicken Addiction sign!
Customer service - I have gotten to know the owner and staff intimately over recent months (!) and they are a delight. Friendly and helpful.
And as for the bad reviews from ppl likening the chicken to other chickens / the place to other places but haven't actually been there, get a life and understand reviews are for the restaurant not legalities on brand.

p. m. s. s.Went today after a lot about this place. I'm a cook so I know my food. So did this place deliver? I can safely stay it was worth the 20 mile journey!
The food was fantastic, well prepared bursting with flavour, well priced and the staff very friendly. The sauces were simply divine, the Mango and lime was gorgeous, my favourite was the mild, it had a real zingy hit, perfect as a salad dressing! So I brought a big bottle!
I will definitely be going back here to try out the burgers! Well priced food, nice staff, what's not to like! Well done to Fernando's!
I have noticed some 1 star ratings here, with reference to Nandos, I suspect these people are Nandos people! The food is BETTER than Nandos CHEAPER than Nandos and above all more ETHICAL than Nandos. This place is run by a regular local guy, who sources local ingredients not some Bully cooperation exploiting people and third world countries! Good luck to them. I will definitely be going back!

J. C.I think someone got angry at Nando's for not being halal, and reproduced a much cheaper, tastier alternative. Chicken was flavourful and moist! Food was served almost straight away, and the servings were definitely good for the money. We ordered a Single Platter, and it consisted of a BIG plate of whole chicken and chips, and a bowl of salad with 2 drinks. All for only £11.99. If you want the Nando's experience, but don't have the money or the time (to wait for the food) - Fernando's is the way to go.
P.S. their Buffalo Hot Wings is a must try!! (BEST HOT WINGS IN TOWN)
