The staff are nice and friendly. All dishes were delicious. Our first time visiting and if we come to his area we will visit again.

It is ok. Service is slow, we had to pay at the till after 15 min. waiting for the bill. The sausage as entry was undercooked. The Bacalhau com Natas was good. The music is the worst, laud and awful taste.

Our first visit, and what a memorable one. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or welcoming, despite us arriving late and the kitchen being on the point of closing. The food quality and the standard of cooking was exceptional. That, and the normal generously sized helpings, as is the Portuguese norm, left us full and very satisfied. It was the sixtieth birthday for one of our party an, to round the meal off, all of the staff paraded to our table with a cake, singing "Happy Birthday." It's a pity that the The Reading Room in The Roseate didn't extend the same welcome on the previous evening, despite being aware it was a sixtieth birthday. Full marks to O Português and we are looking forwards to our next visit.

Authentic Portuguese restaurant run by a really friendly team. Good fish options, probably don't go if you are veggie or vegan. I had the classic Bacalhau a Braz and it was great. Portions are generous, nice desserts. A really nice find in Reading especially if you love Portugal. Deli counter full of pastries- you can pop in to buy them as well.

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing cocktails and great place. What more can you ask. We were blown away by how amazing the service was and how kind all the staff were. Unfortunately we couldn't finish our meal with the rest of the party as my daughter was unwell. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. When we for home we could finally enjoy the food and it delicious and portions were generous. Thank you all to the staff for being so amazingly kind tonight and hats off to the chefs.

The first the food is fantastic and the service good. The portions are filling and even on Sunday they are busy so pre book to avoid waiting for a table but definitely worth a visit in Reading for a good meal and fine music for atmosphere.

Staff is very nice but all the times we have been there they never have the food or starters we ask for. We have to always choose something else. Maybe is best to reduce the menu instead of saying to the customer that you don't have what they want all the time.

I've ordered for first time and I was impressed. My husband was very thankful,he likes everything what he ordered. The prices are good , depends what you want to eat . The environment and staff , great .

They charged me as a special dish ( almost double) when I requested them the dish of the day which is half price. And when I asked more details, they told that their dish was the best in The UK. 😊 I have eaten better Feijoada for less price in UK. Don't order Feijoada if you don't want to end up paying 17.50 for it.

Just recently open, Reading was really needing a Portuguese restaurant! Great variety of Portuguese dishes, friendly staff, the food was good with big portions (just like in Portugal). The service was a bit slow but the place was full and I believe they are still getting used to everything, will definitely return.

Friendly staff and good foods. I think the atmosphere is diverse (families, couples, group of friends). The service is good, and even though they messed up a bit with the timings of the food for all the parties, I had a good overall experience. I would come back.
